I'm not sure if we found the cache or not. It certainly wasn't magnetic and there was no way I could get the log book out as the container was very tightly shut. Have emailed a pic to the CO to confirm if we did indeed find the cache.
We saw the bus coming and waited for it to pass so we had time to search before the next bus came along, luckily we didn't need the extra time as before long the log was being signed. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Found the cache but almost had to walk away as couldn't open it at first, luckily didn't give up and was rewarded with the log to sign. #295

Came down to Dunedin for the weekend - mostly for the event, but also to catch up with the family
Had a great weekend caching all round the city, getting caches that have been published since my last visit, as well as a few puzzles that I had time for.
This was one I had missed last time I was here. I think it may have been disabled, or maybe it was something else, but for whatever arather reason, this was my last green box on this road
A pretty straight forward find after missing it on the first loop. Managed to open container eventually. I think that the paint had meant it was sealed shut!!
Consec caching day # 517

Had contemplated putting this one off for a blank calendar day but didn't want to risk the off chance of it going missing again. So, extended a mitre10 run by a little bit to make the pick up. Thanks for replacing. No pen on me so photos of log in lieue. TFTC.
I too spied the magnet which looks like it has previously had something glued to it (and nothing else visible, sorry).
PC Sniff and I found a pool of water up high. We found a magnet. We hunted and hunted but couldn't find a cache; damp or otherwise
Found after a quick search. Unfortunately this was siting in a pool of water and log too wet to sign. Have left balanced out if the pool so might dry off. But could do with a maintenance check. TFTC.
Quick easy find and #1 in a massive cache expedition on the peninsula today. TFTC
Yay. I've never been first to sign a log before. What a clever place to hide it. Thanks.
Searched high and low!!?? I'll have to come back for another look for sure!!

This one was found for me by (I guess the owners of the house). She had seen it before and he was keen to see what he had seen others looking for. I got to sign the log so it was smiles all round. TFTC #4353
Together with my family on a vacation trip to New Zealand. Starting at Auckland airport on transfer to Christchurch we went for a roundtrip exploring the south island. This was one of many caches we found while visiting so many nice and interesting places thanks to all the caches why I want to send a thank you to all CO for the work spent. TFTC.
Not found on Leftover Day- a caching run dedicated to having another stab at the DNFs, doing those mysteriosly left out, doing the new caches added during the Mega. The bus stop just up the road was a DNF for me that I found, and its cache gave me ideas about this one, but no luck again.
Third bus stop for the day, not as tricky as the last one which we DNFd
Thanks SpyDude13 for the cache.

First Week in New Zealand. Starting from MEGA going southbound the scenic route to Queenstown. One cache after another - that's nice. Good cold temperatures but mostly no rain, so we enjoyed the tour everytime. Thanks for the nice trip.
Found with RexTrex, Sol de Lune, Fitzy and Zsazsa7 during our trip over here for the Mega. We would have enjoyed today a lot more if the weather had been better, but it is still scenic! Thanks SpyDude13.
Another neat little find as we headed back from the peninsula and the lighthouse. A wet day on our tour, but we manged to make the find. The lighthosue ended up being out of reach which was a little disappointing, but the drive was still worth it.
Found with ZsaZsa7, Winglen, fitzy_1965 and Rextrex (local NZer) on our trip around the South Is after attending the New Zealand Mega. We managed to grab a few caches on travels and this was just one of them.
Thanks for this one, another one to the tally.

5534 + 591 = 6125. Day 3 of my week long visit to the New Zealand South Island for the NZ Mega 2012 event along with Sol de Lune, Zsazsa7, Winglen and RexTrex.
A general run from Dunedin out to the Peninsula and back caching. Heading 'back' now and stopped to grab this cache. We had heard about these bus stop caches and were looking forward to finding them. Missed the last one but found this one. Thanks SpyDude13 !
TNLN – TFTC !!

A shared find with my Aussie caching mates Winglen, Zsazsa7, Sol de Lune and Fitzy-1965 as a part of the NZMEGA2012 experience and our subsequent tour.
Almost a DNF but it eventually came to hand. Thanks SpyDude13.

Back onto the trail of bus stops, it almost feels like a mini power trail except these caches seem to be by different hiders ....oh well not complaining as its helping with the numbers...

A cold and wet Dunedin afternoon for our last day caching here with the Walenators. A fast find and we were on our way. TFTC
We are out for the day with the Earthbound's whilst on our NZ Mega Trip. Cache was quickly located, logbook signed and cache replaced. We found the cache but not the coffee we were after. Why is everything shut on a public holiday? TFTC
Spotted a group of cachers pulled up so stopped to join in the fun. Bus stop hides are much easier when someone else already has it in their hand. Thanks SpyDude13.
Found during 'The Gangsters' trip to New Zealand, being Big Matt, The Rats, steeba and myself.
Another reasonably quick park and grab.
Thanks SpyDude13 for the cache.

We quickly made our way through this series of bus stops.

Got muggled by the owner of the house just behind the bus stop. She wondered what was going on this weekend - we found the cache and now she knows the answer too. TFTC
1030, GAFF5, Found in the company of Browngang and Pprass whilst out and about in Dunedin.
We soon located the cache and SL.

Reperio at 1810.
After spending the morning caching around the inner city of Dunedin with Roostaman, we headed away from the chaos of traffic and muggles for the solitude of some scenic countryside caches. This was the fourth bus stop in a row...and fortunately for us the fourth bus stop find.
Gratias SpyDude13.

NZ12. Out caching with Tealby and Dazzatron. After knocking off the tic-tac-toe series we had more time to kill before the evenings activities, so we joined the parade of cachers checking out local bus shelters. Thanks.

Find # 4514 and a total of 78 today with Marcus Vitruvius, on the 4th day of our NZ Mega trip, on the way around the Dunedin area. Another nice cache and hide and then on the way again. TFTC SpyDude13,
Roostaman.
Roostaman.
Found with pprass and Juddda, out to the Peninsular for the day. Thanks for the cache.
Cheers from Browngang.

One for Dazzatron this time... Hint a bit misleading according to my interpretation. TFTC.
Won't be able to look at another bus stop in Dunedin without thinking: Is there a cache there? I noticed that many bus stop shelters are facing away from the road. I can only imagine sitting at a stop and waiting for the bus in nasty weather. I also appreciate the paint jobs many have.
1681st cache found by WazzaAndWenches.
Waz and the Wenches are in Dunedin for the NZ Mega Event over the weekend.
We stopped at a bus top not too far away yesterday and met up with another team. They told us the searched at this spot for quite some time but were unable to find the cache. Today we found it within a few seconds.
Thank you SpyDude13.

Disabled? When did that happen? Ah - that explains why I could not find it and how come it is in my GPSr (I do not included disabled caches in my pocket queries). Guess I'll be back.
Found at 5:06 PM on 23/08/2012.
Found this one after a while - took a bit of locating but got there in the end.

Nice of the ORC to put a cache hide spot in the design. Conratulations on your first hide- everyone is allowed one bus stop micro, and it's quite a coup to have scored the first in a new style.
First cache I've encountered at one of the new bus stops. As a public transport user, I reckon they're a great improvement on the old ones.

When on a numbers caching trip, I soon found Bus Stop caches to be my favourites (for numbers caches, not normal geocaching!) - easy to find, albeit a dirty task in most cases. TFTC
It took considerable time to locate this cache, in a very cold draughty new bus shelter, clearly designed by someone who never uses these facilities. Fortunately we saw a bus approaching in the distance, and made good our temporary escape until it had passed. TFTC
Interesting to see these new structures springing up I think the older painted ones have a lot going for them.
Thanks
