Starting to rain, found the cache quickly enough, didnt realise there was only one entry/exit and ended up getting soaked, but never mind, I will dry out soon enough.
Took a lot longer than necessary, as my GPS was leading me on a merry dance under the trees! Lovely well-maintained cemetery, TFTC and for bringing me here i5badass
After arriving close to GZ, i came across a lady sunbathing... which was kind of strange given the location. So as not to startle her, I introduced myself and explained what i was doing. She was mildly intrigued. However, this one took me a lot longer than it should have... but got it in the end. So the log book has been signed, and the cache is back in its place all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. Happy Leap Day 2024!
I do love a good wander in cemetries - a wee bunny hopped by in the end of day sun. Once my phone settled it was clear where I needed to get to. That's when the local security guard drove up and helped with the quick search, lol. All good here and the recent replacement was double bagged for good measure. TFTC
My last day in Wellington with geocaching granddaughter. This time her Mum/my daughter was dragged along as driver so we could find some more. TFTC.
The cache was found safe and sound sort of out in the open. Looks like a bit of garden works have been going on in the garden area.
Not sure when the "guardian" was felled but still nicely rooted to the spot.
Cache was put back with some rocks for cover.

Mrs Popmac wanted a drive over the new Transmission Gully road, so with it being a nice day, down to Porirua for lunch. Thanks i5badass for the cache.
Needs a new log, it's a bit damp and mouldy. Tftc. Beautiful cemetery. May the souls of the faithful departed, by the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Weird place for a
Cache, just about fell of the bank. Needs new log the old one is pretty damp and well used. TFTC

Nice and quiet today, no muggles around especially with the rain, nice hide with a great hint, TFTC
Had to come back a second time to get this one was a bit confused at first but at last I found it TFTC!
The Great Geocaching Tour of New Zealand Cemetaries rolls on! Pretty quick find after a good look around to check that the coast was clear. All good in cache, tftc!
Thanks i5badass for placing this cache
It's a beautiful day for a walk in this area... one muggle was gardening but thankfully out of sight from GZ.

I had the same trouble with gps coordinates as others appear to have had but after reading previous logs decided to persist and check the 'obvious' spot and there we have it, thanks
A quick find - this guardian had me stumped but still there!
Love the bag!
Thanks
Love the bag!
Thanks
Place is very pretty and thankfully deserted, as I felt a little exposed when grabbing
Nicely camouflaged but soon spotted on a wet and windy Saturday afternoons walk. TFTC.
I've driven past this one so many times, and today I finally came for a visit. All good, although the log is starting to get full. TFTC
This was a tricky one. Our GPS was insisting on a particular location, and we tried approaching from multiple directions and they all lead to the same incorrect spot. Reading through previous comments by people who had found it, gave us an idea to try in a different location and we actually found the cache. So not sure if the location of the cash is incorrect or if our GPS was just on the fritz. As commented by a number if other people, the log book was full.
Found it exactly where it said it would be. Log book is full and needs replacing. TFTC.
Quick find, with the two boys. Did not know the cemetery was here. The old guardian made sense. FYI, camp bag is look a bit worn
#962. Time to collect a few caches to build my numbers to the 35 required for the Museum Mystery (this is #23) and a nice day for a walk with GB Leader in Porirua City. Heading home after picking up 10 caches, but time for some en route. Never knew this cemetery was here, but nice accessible spot and GZ fairly obvious from the hint. But it is an old cache, and really needs a new container and log.

With rebel98 on a mini caching adventure to Wellington. We are in two for about 36 hours, so we have to get busy.
Driving up the driveway, it was a short walk, then it was a matter of walking around in circles whilst the GPS settled. Went to what I thought was the obvious guardian, then I went over to an older guardian and soon found the well camoed bag.
Thanks for the hide i5badass for the history and the hide

The camo bag blended nicely into the surroundings. A quick find here.

This is a lovely quiet place to explore, but right next to major earthworks so the side of the cemetery is fenced off. Our car proved rather big for the narrow roadway, so suggest parking on the main road and walking up.
very quick find, surprised to see a group of pukeko wandering around the cemetery, bit noisy with all the neighbouring construction going on, original log book is unusable mush but the replacement log sheet was nice and dry, TFTC
Beautiful day to venture in here. Took a detour to the cache to read a few headstones tftc
Cache day out have often passed this place so today finally decided to come and find cache. Lovely spot. Cheers
While in the area today it was great to be able to grab another one that we had missed the last time in NZ. Cache nice and safe even though the area has been redeveloped. Thanks CO for the cache.
After looking at the logs I saw this cache hadn't been found in just under a year!
Since the last person had been here, they have grown flowers all around the GZ so I had to step over them carefully to get to it. When found it it looked like it was in good condition but upon opening I found the log was really wet. It was a great hiding spot though! TFTC

I had told my uncle whoni was staying with this weekend that I was specifically trying to find a cache that started with the letter E For a series where you need to find a cache for each letter of the month, so now I just need one more E To finish November. Quick grab here, initial log is unusable so signed the temporary log
These cemetery caches have been calling to me for a while but today was the first time I had an opportunity to seek them out. This was a nice easy find, exactly where I expected it to be.

Down in Wellington for the weekend. Initially this was to be a pre-visit before a work conference this week but that's been cancelled due to head office being kicked out of their building as the building next door has been damaged in the recent earthquakes. Decided to come to Wellington for the weekend anyway.
After visiting the Gallipoli exhibition at Te Papa and caching in Island Bay, I decided to slowly make my way back to my accommodation for the night in plimmerton, caching on the way. Cache quickly found, however pencil wouldn't write on the type of parchment in cache so signed it as best I could. TFTC

Didn't spot during initial sweep but upon a better inspection, there it was. Beautiful place, this cemetery. Peaceful and calm.
I decided to take a different approach on my second visit here. Last time I noted I did not venture across any garden areas in my search but it turns out that's exactly what you have to do. Hmmm. Still took about a minute to find even when I was in the right place. Man, that camo is effective. It rendered it almost invisible! So while this was a nice hide I was not impressed with the access required to get to it.
No idea where it is or what the hint is referring to. Didn't find anything in what seemed like good hiding places. I presume one does not need to trample over any garden areas to get to the cache because, you know, that would be irresponsible cache placement. Will have another go if someone else finds it.
Had looked for this one a number of months ago, albeit briefly, as the light was fading. Gave up then and had another go this afternoon, with the assistance of Mrs tbird. Coords seemed pretty good on the Garmin. I got to GZ but it was Mrs tbird who spotted the prize. #1211. TFTC.
#2410. Headed up to Porirua today as I needed to do several caches today. I have driven past these two cemetery caches so many times but decided that a lovely sunny Saturday was an ideal day to do these caches. I spotted the likely hiding area as I approached the GZ but still took me 5 minutes to find the cache as my initial probing was not good enough. On a more thorough search I quickly had the cache in hand. Its a bit damp inside but the recently added paper was still writeable. Signed the log and sealed it in a fresh plastic bag. Left the original soaked log in its old plastic bag. All hidden again as found. Thanks for the cache.
Not too many options so a quick find with TregearP. Even though the staff have done some recent work in the immediate vicinity, cache safe in its hide. Signed the Temporary log sheet.

A clever hide, cache all in good order and appreciated the info about the history. TFTC
I stopped by to grab this one as a qualifying cache for a "number of attributes" challenge. GPS was a bit out, but soon found the cache when referring to the hint. Thanks for the replacement logsheet. TFTC
Visited a while back but Just realised I hadn't logged this one on-line. Took me a while to find this cache, but got there in the end thanks to the very helpful hint (couldn't rely on my GPS, I think the trees were upsetting it). The ground was pretty damp and I was pleased I'd brought an old gardening glove with me to have a rummage round. Tftc. All quiet here today.
Took a bit of looking but once found the hint. A find was made. Log wet so added a water proof sheet with names on.
Staying locally before crossing the Strait tonight and nabbing a few high FPrs in the vicinity. I was going for the nearby GC51V1Y but by now heavy rain set in and I didn't really want to get wet through wandering around a multi. Grabbed this one on the way back to vehicle as a consolation prize. Fortunately someone had replaced the sopping wet log with a piece of paper. That's also getting full, so I'd recommend some CO intervention for a more permanent solution. And if a geocacher comes here for TBs DON'T Bother. TFTC
Over here visiting my sister in a rehab hospital nearby - and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get out and about for a bit of caching.
Up early this morning - not too much activity going on yet. Thought I'd get this one first before attempting multi... saw the hint object - but took me ages to locate cache. Lucky no one around - well no one watching me....lol

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust... We are on this mortal coil for but a brief moment, and must make the most of our time. Which includes geocaching [^]
A quick find, cache in good order in spite of the recent very wet weather. TFTC!

Missed this one when we did the multi here a couple of weeks ago, so we decided to drive by and get that smiley on the map! A quick find.
