Sixth DNF of the day. By now we were hot and tired so that wouldn't help. Off we went for an ice cold coffee to cool us down before returning back to the beginning by train. Many thanks for the lovely day.

Apologies for the super late log, doing a catch up today. Nice quick find whilst beginning the huge assault on the freeway caches. Tftc
Today with bubblkai, do we have this box found and signed the logbook

Back out on the Periodic Table trail for the first time in 12+ months. Hoping to clear up another section on this marvelous winters day. Quick find here. TFTC
Out with geogypsys for another great day of caching. Must have planned this well, coming up from Busselton to do these this weekend - the coolest weekend for a while.

Thank you! Out to do the Kwinana station to Cockburn station section of the series with sabs20 on a warmer than expected morning. Most were found without too much trouble.
Out doing more of the periodic table today and making the most of this beautiful weather. Tftc
Wow, a cool forecast for late December. A great opportunity to get out and bag a pile of caches today. Took the bike out on the trails today to see the sights.
This was find number 2 today. Not sure how many I will find but way more than any previous single day.

Quick ride today after dropping the Geo wife at the train station. Collected a few before returning TFTH
I have been looking at the periodic table series of caches for some time now. Since I have decided to complete a challenge I need the numbers hence the reason for the run today. I took the day off work and co=opted a couple of fellow cachers, Lazarus_68 and Dezzabills. I thought a couple of days would finish the series off, So today we set off early on our pushbikes with the idea of completing as many as we could manage. As it turns out we made it all the way to the end. We were very fortunate to find the caches quicker than expected. So to sum up the day we found 117 caches in the periodic table and a couple of extras along the way giving me a grand total of 119 for the day. Not bad if I say so myself, and surprisingly there were no DNF's so all in all a great day. The ride down from home in Como took us 6 hours and 58 minutes. While my fellow cachers took the train home I toughed it out and rode home in just over 2 hours. We stopped several times down and back for a break and a bite to eat to refuel the bodies.
This was the 41st find of 119 for the day and was found at 10:58AM Thanks BlaKids/loubla for the cache. hhheddy

Went out for a bike ride with jackyleggs, we rode almost 30 kms
It was good exercise, but we pulled up a bit sore.

Having reached our 3,000 and enjoyed the previous outing to get the first 40 of this series we decided to tackle the stretch from Cockburn Central to Kwinana. It was a warmer day so by the time we reached Kwinana we were ready to call it a successful day.
At a couple of caches we found 2 containers, so we signed the log on one and took the other which we then used to replace other broken ones further along. We also replaced a couple of logs as well and dropped in one of our tagz in a couple of caches. All up the series is in reasonable condition.
Thanks for the cache BlaKids [^] - we made the find and the cache was in good order and the log dry .
This was find # 1 of 40 and 5 today giving us a total cache count of 3001.

Out on the Kwinana Freeway trail today to extend the smiley chain further south. Found this cache without too much drama which is just how we like them. Tftc!
I have been wanting to come down here for a ride and tackle some of this series for a while now. And I just got the chance to come down here today. There were 2 Did Not Find's today and 21 Finds. This cache was one of the finds. Most caches were found easily with the odd one or two hard ones.
BlaKids, I found your cache ' Zirconium (40) - Periodic Table' today. It was the nineteenth of 21 finds and is my busiest day so far. The cache was found in a good condition so I replaced it as I found it. Thanks For The Cache.

Given a whole day to go caching in Perth the inner scientist in Freddo could not resist the geeky awesomeness of a Periodic Table PT. With bicycle supplied by .K.B. I travelled by train to Kwinana and folllowed the trail of elements from one end to the other. The cache finds ranged from seen as I arrived, to hides that have me looking for twice the 3 minutes I had allowed. Some caches were replaced. A few caches were unfound and will stand as DNF's.
I know these elements. My job as a metallurgist means that I deal with a large portion of the common 92 at work. There was a sense of pride reeling them off. And then there was the joy of cruising along on a bike on a beautiful winter day that actually feels like an Indian summer.
-------------------------------------------------------------
This cache was found using a Garmin GPSr, Montana 650t, Oregon 550 or Dakota 20. Waypoints and paperless geocaching downloaded via GSAK 8.

Enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon with geo daughter who was learning to ride her bike 10 finds today to add to the list TFTC and brilliant series!!!
Day fifty seven of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747.
We loaded up the deadly treadlies after dropping the car off for it's service in Fremantle and hit the Periodic Table Series trail at Bull Creek. We worked our way south until we came to where we had finished up a month ago (about #66), then jumped the train at Kwinana for the trip back to Bull Creek. We then completed the last four elements heading north to Perth.
Unfortunately a large collection of DNFs, and one replacement container, and a few replacement logs.
Lovely day for a ride though, and (apart from the DNFs) loved the trail.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 8231. Day 2 of our week in Fremantle and Rob's car is in for a service at Melville. We decided to try to finish off the Periodic Table series that we started in late April, by riding down the trail to Kwinana Station and catching the train back to Bull Creek Station before riding back to the Ford Dealer. It turned out to be a 38km day, not altogether successful with 57 smilies and frustratingly, 10 DNFs.
We replaced a couple of logs and one container, but some of the other logs have got rather damp and are looking mouldy and a big time-worn although generally there are plenty of spots left for signing.
Thanks BlaKids

Had a spare hour after visiting Cockburn gateway and managed to find a few caches to add to the tally! Awesome trail nice a easy finds too! TFTC's
A quick find today after having parked the car and walked along the cycleway to this cache. The weather was not overly clement today so I only looked for this one (needed for a challenge). SL and replaced where found. Covered lightly so as to be not too obvious. Thanks to BlaKids for the cache.
Headed Off early this morning on my scooter to complete a big section of this series.
My goal is to get my 1000 before the holidays end and this made a huge imapct on it.
Started at Einsteinium at 8.00am, 3 1/2 hours later I finished at Zirconium at 11.30am.
60 Finds in hand and No DNFs
Most being easy finds. A couple of hunts took some time but all in all a great morning.
Had to replaced a couple as they were broken.
Thanks BlaKids and loubla for this awesome series.
Sorry about the generic logs but its hard to remember all of them in a power trail.

I had some spare time this morning so I decided to jump on the bike and see how far south I could ride. I got as far as Russell Road which is a record for me. I took a more leisurely pace on the way back, find some freeway caches and incidental munzees along the way. Tftc
I found it. I left my mark. I replaced it and I left. TFTC.
There has been some DNF today, but not because of "where the hell is it" but because I am only allowing a certain amount of time for each cache. I want to get to Thomas road some time today and I have to ride back.

Having a go at the '300 caches per month challenge' so need to knock off some power trails. Jumped on the train at Cockburn Central with the bike and got off at Kwinana to ride back and clean up all the 'Periodic Table' caches along the way. Unfortunately I had a blowout on the bike and had to walk the last 5 or 6 k's. 44 finds with two DNF's not a bad afternoons work I reckon.
Last one for the day and spotted the likely hidey hole from the path. Thanks to the CO's for the series and I will be back to tackle some more one day.

I'm looking forward to meeting other geocachers in Busselton at the 'WA GOES BIG IN 2015' event. Registrations now open.

Headed out today to finish the last section of the periodic table with two geokids in tow on our bikes.
We parked at Cockburn and firstly headed south to Rowley Road, then back north past Cockburn to Cobalt around South Lake.
Geokids had a blast, sometime riding off ahead to find the caches without Dad.
Mindful of the snakes, we found a shed skin, but nothing alive.
Thanls for another good morning out Blakids & LouBla
.
This was cache number 2 out of 36 for today. Also our total find number 2669
Thanks BlaKids for this hide.

Originally found under family caching name clan-wallace, now re logging under own name.
On this beautiful day, we took the train from Glendalough to Cockburn Central and rode our geobikes to Kwinana. Only 2 DNF's along the way, and a variety of hides to keep us amused.
megawat60 and I found about the same number of caches, much enjoyed! Thanks for these caches Blakids and loubla.

Geokid and I grabbed our bikes and caught the train to Kwinana from Mandurah and rode to Cockburn tackling many, but not all of the caches in between. I guess leaving Mandurah at 5pm might have been a little late We found many in the dark but got attacked by mozzies and started getting cold and a little nervous being on the path on our own! Im looking forward to returning to finish off what remains for me on this series at a later time.
Thank you so much for the series - a lot of hard work has gone into all this!
Sorry for the generic logs but caching this trail with an iPhone doesn't allow much time with battery life so logging afterwards.

Find 40 of 53
Been meaning to get on with this series well.... forever! With the gorgeous weather today and a 99 day caching streak to keep alive we decided to see how many we could do between school drop off and pick up.
We got the train from Edgewater down to Kwinana and had a great bike ride back up towards Murdoch. Achieved 53 finds (+ 2 previous finds from random previous trips) and 3 DNFs. I think we can claim it to be our most successful caching day without the geocar. Started at Lead and finished with Manganese.
Thanks to loubla and Blakids for all your hard work and thanks also for replacing a few recently on a maintenance run! Much appreciated

Caught the train up to Canning Bridge this morning from Kwinana to hit the Periodic Table series. I left home at 6.30am and walked back in the door at 1.05pm after riding all the way home. I stopped briefly at Cockburn Central for some brunch and then hit the trail again shortly after. TFTC.
We thought today would be a good day for a bike ride, so what better than to ride the Kwinana Freeway Bike Trail and indulge both our passion for caching and interest in science by completing the Periodic Table Of The Elements.
We probably ‘bit off more than we could chew’, but what do you do then? Take bigger bites and chew like mad!!
Both Mr & Mrs SKI have completed science degrees in their youth, Mr SKI an Applied Chemistry one. We actually met at Uni in some shared chemistry and physics classes. Mrs SKI uses her qualification regularly, but this may be the first time Mr SKI has really made use of his in over 35+ years. A dubious statistic!
We really enjoyed the ride on another of Perth’s fabulous bike tracks. They are wonderful. Thanks to the crew for the considerable effort that has gone into producing the series.
Apologies for the generic log, but at the end of a long day we are unable to remember individual hides.

Got an early start to try and get a start on this series. Thought I would buck the trend and run instead of ride. Worked out pretty well. Watch out for cyclists. A total of 45 find and 5 dnf so far. I'm enjoying this series. Thanks loubla and blakids.
On holidays from SA staying with YANGEBUP MICK decided do some more of the Periodic Table caches i missed last year, just finished putting the pushies away when the rain set in ! tnln thanks Loubla

This one I did not found in January last year. Can't remember the reason. This morning we found it easily after we did the second part of the periodic table series. Fortunately it was not as hot as yesterday, but 26° was still warm. It was a nice bike ride along the freeway and we found all containers, saw lots of very big spiders [xx(] and finally solved the Periodic Table.
TFTC and best regards from Germany.

Tackled my next phase of the Periodic Table by push bike with MNS13.
Obviously it was alot easier and quicker than walking, which I have found the others by, but WOW did I feel bruised and sore later on in the day when I had to go to work. The ride back was harder as I was saddle sore from not having ridden a bike for I can't remember how many years.
We ended up with 21 finds and 0 DNFs with most being found quickly while about 2 or 3 taking a couple of minutes to locate.
It was a fairly warm day, but luckily for us we got back to the car before the heat really set in.

Loaded up the geo bikes and set off this morning with skippy46 with the aim of bumping up our find tallies.
We had a very successful ride between Rowley road and Beeliar drive, with 20 finds and no DNF's.
It was a fairly warm day, but luckily for us we got back to the car before the heat really set in.
We saw lots if passing cyclists looking very professional in all their special gear, whilst we felt somewhat inadequate on our kmart specials hahaha
Thanks for the series loubla!

Corjam11 and I decided to catch the train from Rockingham to Canning Bridge where we got off with our bikes and rode all the way back to Kwinana train station picking up a lot of caches on the way. We allowed no more than a minute for each find so their were a few DNF's but mostly they were all easy finds. All caches were in good shape though a few logs were a bit mouldy, but still loggable. To save time and space in the logs we logged as FC short for our geocaching names flasharry and corjam11. This would have been a great power trail to do on a cooler day but as I was on vacation for two weeks I had no choice. I think we lost about 3kg each. Thanks a lot Loubla and BlaKids for the huge effort, i know because I have a couple of trails myself. Greetings from Sweden.
well we did the usual drive ,train, scooter mission all the waY from bunbury again. a bit too eager we were as we should of checked the train timetable for sunday mornings before we left bunbury cause we were hour and half early for the first train lol. managed to leave ipad on the train aswell only to realize this four hours later and some honest person handed it in at the next stop tank goodness. now I have another excuse to come back up to perth this week for some more caches ,I mean to pick up my ipad. enjoying this powertrail. TFTC's
Greetings from Japan! I found this cache with Mushin-no-shin on our holiday trip to Australia! I was delighted that we were able to rent bicycles and do this power trail while we were in town! It was my first time doing a cycling power trail, but I think it is now my favorite type! We found all but three of the caches in the original series and set new personal records for most geocaches in a day! Yay for the 40th! Over a third of the way through...soooo many more! TFTC!

GPS was going mental on this 1 but my lil geo son found it straight away, awesome way to top of Xmas doing what we love the most, tftc!
Out on a maintenance run. Replaced the temporary log with one of our standard ones. Thanks so much for that impromptu help. Otherwise, cache in good condition. Happy hunting.
