Drat - has been muggled. Will replace in the next week or two - after duck shooting is over!
Oh dear:-( sad to say we finally found some remnants, but that was all. Will email the CO with more details.
Lovely walk by Lake Rotokauri, collecting caches on the way. I'm pretty sure there was a previous cache at this exact spot - I remember sneaking off the path a few years ago and wondering whether people in nearby houses would wonder what we were doing. Have to say I have no recollection of the previous cache itself, whereas this current one is very memorable. Took a moment to spot what we needed, but the low sun helped illuminate something that revealed what we were dealing with. Neither of the tools is marked with a yellow band, but it was still straightforward to work out what was needed. Also love the camo job on the cache itself . All very nicely done. Many thanks.

Very clever...but no yellow rubberband, and a few tangles. Got there in the end - I think yet another interesting cache may be getting my friend hooked. TFTC
Good fun. Very innovative. Love the camo. Didn't see a yellow band on either tool. But no prob.
Had to search hard for this one - but coming at it from a diferent angle (!) helped. Think the cache may not have been quite where it was meant to, and the tools were loose and somewhat entangled. So I straightened it all out and hopefully left it safe and secure for the next intrepid cacher! Very creative, and worth a favourite for that - TFTC!
Obviously a lot of time and thought has gone into this nifty cache. The retrieval system was fun, and I was surprised by how effectively it worked. Even the camo was cool. Earns a favorite from me.
Left Mr P in the shade and wandered off to see what I could find. A favourite point from me for the retrieval system. Such fun! t4tc

During the nice walk along Lake Rotokauri we found this box as well.
Thank you for showing us this nice spot Quiri

I think we took the wrong path again, but not sure. By this stage, the long grass was agrivating my hayfever to a really bad level. Not sure what to expect, but found something suspicious. Hmm, and just out of reach... curses.
Both of the tools were unmarked, so we did what we assumed to be correct. It was quite cute! Favourited, I've not seen anything like this before.

Had trouble finding the cache trail. Probably should have taken the advice of the way point. Ended up with a few scratches after this one..
This was very clever and worth the slight diversion to collect. Had a great time wandering around the area picking up the caches. Thanks
Rather pleased to find this immediately, and made the retrieve and replacement without any issues. Clever idea, although I have seen this kind of thing before. Fav point from me. Thanks.
Water almost over the track last time so good to see it well down this time . No wet feet
On a roll now, knocked off a few of the Roto caches, came across this and had to scratch my head for a few seconds in order to figure out, cache was soon in hand and quickly reterived

A nice walk around the lake with wife and dogs. Was pleased to see it was dry underfoot
Out on a cache walk with rosmar and yugeo4. Another nice quick find here. Liked the creativity of the mechanism, and the camo. TFTC!!!
9585… We can sure do it… Four keen pairs of eyes soon had this one sorted, found with FMZ and rosmar. Nicely done, many thanks.
What better way to complete our weekend visit to Hamilton than a late afternoon lake ramble with YuGeo4 & FMZ. We thought we could do it and we did, great hide TFTC.

We decided we could do this walk around the lake. Lovely area, the dogs enjoyed the chance to stretch their legs. We have been in the area before and the house near GZ never gets any better looking (we pitied the builder). TFTC

Thankfully managed to avoid wet feet today, despite all the recent rain. A fav for this cache, nicely done! TFTC
A cache that made us smile. Not seen one of these types for a while. Last time was on the way to Oz Mega 2010.
Another creative cache that was fun to do. I suspect cache wasn't quite where it was supposed to be when I arrived so replaced where I thought it was mean't to be.
Many thanks
Many thanks
SHould have bought the boat to find this one! Or maybe even gumboots. GPS was being a bit jumpy with all that water but soon had the cache inhand. Great hide!
This was very ingenious indeed. Unfortunately the tool snapped on 1st use. I think it is still useable however. Logged at 0010. I'll give it a favourite. 2nd ftf for the night

Glad you enjoyed it. If it stops raining long enough today we will return and fine tune it further.
