Even with two pairs of eyes searching, two pairs of hands feeling and two pairs of feet circumnavigating the tree and a desperate call to a PAF we just couldn’t find the cache that’s supposed to be here today. After describing what we did find on the trunk the PAF ventured the idea that it might be missing. It might be worth the CO checking. It did look a very well left and developed community park. Lots of Ibis coming in to roost in the tops of the pine trees around the oval.
Unable to find for love or money. Did find some Geo log book remains on the ground though.
After yesterdays heat, we decided we'd have a sleep in and then go for a drive to pick up a few caches near Bairnsdale, so we took the back way and grabbed a few of what was on offer.
A nice easy find here - thanks Scozza.

Decided to let the dog out for a stretch and attempt this cache. Fantastic hide - a favourite point from me. TFTC.
#38 find for our 2 Months to Alexandra Event Roadtrip! Found with KrysLazz.
What a beautiful place to enjoy some cricket! I don't actually watch nor play cricket, but could be tempted if it were here. Very creative cache. Thank you

2nd day of our visit for the 2 months to Alexandra event. Found with Shai.Marelle. What a beautiful little spot to play cricket. Clever hide. TFTC
Unique hide and a beautiful old sports oval. Giving this one a favourite as well thought out. Tftc tnln
After a lap of the tree with no joy, I consulted the hint and did another lap. Brilliant - favourite of the day. Thanks Scozza.
Muggle husband found this one. He likes this one, not just because he found it before me or that we are at a lovely cricket ground but a very clever hide. Tftc and the family activity on our long weekend away.
Nice camo. We had lunch on the verandah of the cricket club in very comfy chairs. One of the strangest places we've had a picnic
Excellent hide, very clever just like all of Scozza's that I have come across. Thanks for a great cache!
What a surprising spot [:o]
Two beautifully manicured ovals
And good facilities to boot
I'll bet the opposing Elevens love visiting this ground
No cricket in progress today,
so I wandered over to GZ.
and after a couple of laps of the big stump,
I spied a rather clever cache hide [^]

After checking on this and finding it missing we replaced the cache today. Coordinates unchanged but cache tweaked slightly.
Did not find. Great spot, watch out for black cockatoos dropping pine cones!
Nice spot for a cache.Glad we decided to come this way on our way to Paynesville.tyftc
YAY - found it today with Geodog, Hydro, enjoy a run around the oval. Thanks Scozza for this cache. I hadn't realised there was an oval on the hill at Meerlieu - what a stunning view. It would be a bit tricky to maintain concentration on a cricket match with that view in the background. I've driven by on many occasions but have never had the time to stop and really enjoy this part of Gippsland. The old pine standing guard is stunning and it's great to see a recent planting of a descendant of The Lone Pine just near by.
The current log is very interesting and a little damp- it's the back of a receipt - I think it's a Bunnings receipt - LOL. Maybe time for a little bit of maintenance. Thanks again.

What a great cricket ground. I reckon the gorgeous scenery would have to be a bit distracting though. Wandered over and checked out the Lone Pine, great to see one has been planted out here. After a bit more of a wander it was time to get down to the business of cache finding. I don't know how or why I found it so quickly, but it was the first place I looked. Mr 2max was like, how did you know it was there? I told him I had the eye of a skilled cacher, haha, but I think it was just pure fluke... shhhh..!!!! We signed the log then watched for a while as one of the Roulette's was doing some dips and dives over a nearby paddock. He finally zoomed off, and so did we. Thanks for the cache Scozza
Visited the pretty country cricket ground and found the cache. Wet day but enjoyed the visit tftc
Heading to Lakes Entrance with the geovan in tow, we stopped to make a quick find. TFTC
Found this cache lying out in the open, so I tucked it into a spot where I thought it may have come from so that it would not get any wetter in this pouring rain. Will email the CO a photo of where I placed it so that it can be found by the CO if needed. TFTC
Travelling to East Gippsland today, I did some caching, and this was one of them. What a beautiful cricket ground. I also appreciated the historical pine tree. tftc.
intended to do this one last night on our way through but with crickey training on we thought better of it and returned this morning. Lovley to see the well cared for and top facilities at the club, impressed with the couches and fireplace. Tftc
What to do on a beautiful Sunday afternoon - garden or go for a drive, grab a cache or two followed by coffee. Decided on Stratford as my destination and completing the loop came home the back road. Had been to this site with a geocaching friend when I was just a muggle however did not find it on that trip this time found after a brief search.
Thanks Scozza

Our third find for the trip home today.
After a week down at Raymond Island we are looking forward to a caching trip home.
Wonderful display from the Roulettes while we were here looking.

Found on a rather chilly day log is wet wet wet. No camo on container. Lovely cricket ground. We put a new log book and nice dry bag .Thanks to Misschief18 and Taurus1955.
We were meeting a guy here to buy his car fridge, time to grab a cache while here, no such luck the coords had me on nothing in particular so I looked in the nearby obvious places to find nothing in particular.
Such a nice cricket oval and a beautiful view, who wouldn't want to play cricket on it .found it with the family and our geo dogs .such a cute container but the paper is saturated need a new one while dad was filling it in me and my sister went for a run with the dogs on the oval nice hide.tftc

One guy and a girl - three nights camping - East Gippsland
We decided to go somewhere camping over the Easter break, Friday saw us have a sleep in, head down the road caching as we went and doing something rare, setting up the tent in daylight! A bight of night caching topped the day off.
Pulled up next to GZ to be met by a local muggle, asked what we were doing, ahhhh that's why, my uncle does that too. Quick find, replaced the log which was mush.
Thanks for the cache Scozza!!!

Enjoyed the drive in this area today, and found this reserve a pleasant place for a stop. Log very wet so spent some time studying while the paper dried out. TFTC
Log a bit wet. Tricky to find as there's a lot of area to cover. Some people have a very comfy time watching the cricket here!!!
Not at the place we expected to find it. Luckily we stopped before pulling every piece of loose bark of the tree

Found whilst on current 6 week campervan holiday through outback & rural NSW, & rural Vic. Clever hide but camo bits have fallen off & log is very damp. Never thought I'd visit another MCG with such a beautiful peaceful view in almost the middle of nowhere. SL.TFTC!
Awesome spot! Perfect place for a cache:) 4find today found by Rocket and Izzy!!
All quiet here this Saturday and I parked very close to GZ. If I had gone round clockwise I would have gotten it quicker! Thanks Scozza.
TFTC TNLN. What a great camoflague! Although I think bits of it might have fallen off it so it might need some attention. Lovely spot. Thanks for bringing me to a spot I drive past so often and never took the time to explore before. As another cache above said-very peaceful.
Very Cool little cache.
This made for a wonderful day out on Day 1 of our Easter Break. Thank you Scozza for the adventure.
Cheers

Had a great day caching and enjoying the outdoors as usual. Many kilometres put on the geoPatrol to add to the numbers. Now it is a waiting game for the next opportunity to get out again.
Many thanks Scozza for placing this cache.

Had to take 3 and a half tonne of floor tiles to a job in Lakes Entrance so grabbed a few caches along the way. Sl thanks Scozza for the cache.
A bike ride in the morning on the Rail Trail, and a walk in the afternoon at Lakes for a few caches with BettyBoo3747 filled out our day.
Fabulous grounds! A lovely view when on the oval. Club rooms no too bad either.
We were glad we had the place to ourselves this morning.
Thanks, Robmc.
