Paper in cache was destroyed so I wrote on a leaf. Obviously this one needs maintenance

A caching day in Bendigo with Posums saw us target the smilie face! I really should have read up on it more as I didn’t realise we had to walk a bit! Ha ha. We found all caches in about 3.5hours. It really is such a great series being made up of trads. Well done - not an easy feat!
After spending the week before away caching I thought that I better catch up with a few things around home over this weekend.
Sitting at Friday night my phone went bing and it was a message from Gemma Sistema, the question was asked are we still on for our 6 weekly caching catch up tomorrow.
Opps I had totally forgot about that so the response was of course and what Geovehicle do I need to bring.
A quick run around to get organised and the day was planned.
I’m just the chauffeur on these trips as always Gemma tells me where to go.
Met early in Castlemaine and headed to Bendigo for a fun day out.
After finding a few right in town now to head out to see what Gemma has planned.
No wonder she asked me to bring the Geocruiser when I noticed where we were heading.
How you set this geoart up with trads was a great feat and a lot of effort so well done to you.
Found some tracks that didn’t really appear on the satellite maps on the journey and walked in to a few as well.
A different type of bush out here compared to other places.
All caches found easily with great coords.
Thanks tigersden TFTC.

Saw this series and thought how cool, a completed caches series of smileys of a smiley!. It was nice to park and grab some, walk in the bush to some and wander around the lovely park area. We didn't see any animals though. TFTC
Log book is full and wet. A full afternoon of completing the smile! A great variety of caches to find. This was a beautiful area to explore. Thanks for being us here.
Out for an afternoon drive with Bogonghazy. Finally completing this series. Thanks for placing the geocache paper was very wet
Found with LittleBoss2 on a sunny arvo. I overlooked this at first. No wonder i DNFd it years ago. LB2 made the find here. Thanks for placing
This one was soggy and only just signable, i have done what i can and given it a little more protection from the weather. Hopefully it will be good for the next cacher
Just while we negotiate this lockdown period and I can get out there again to do a maintenance run.
As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.
If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.
TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.
I sincerely than all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Reg

TeamOZCAT left Albury Wodonga Thursday to cache Bendigo district, and some on route. The Smiley series was one, as well as some Adventure Lab and others. We thank all CO's for placing and maintaining their respective caches, and if there were issues, we would have messaged CO with details.
As a former member of TeamOZCAT, I am now claiming these caches under my profile as I visited this series on the 12th February, 2021. I have been waiting for the CO to re-enable them whilst I have been living in Shepparton so I may visit them and sign the log a fresh. Maybe one day I will be back there again as planned with someone special in my life. Thank you Tigersden for placing this series.
My memory is failing and I can't separate the individual caches that I found, so a generic log will follow.
Trudging along, paying attention to the possibility of snakes, I progressed through the outer ring of the smiley face. After a while I became concerned that the other people back at camp may have eaten all the nibbles, and drank the wine before my return. This caused me to put some more urgency into the hunt. Life is tough sometimes!
Thanks to tigersden and jtnsilo for this series. Cache in good condition.

Found at 2:40 PM GAFF1.
That took a long time to locate. The cache was tucked away very tightly in a corner - all of the other hides have been easy to spot once you find the right spot.
Thanks jtnsilo.

Geocaching is fortunately something that can be done while social distancing. All alone out here. TFTC
Found at 11.45am, Its surprising how much the vegetation changes due to soil type. Some scrub is only ankle high, next minute your legs and thighs are getting scratched. We tried to avoid the thicker sections.
Thanks

Heading south for the St. Arnaud event next month after leaving QOGM in Blackall. Day 58 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 20 caches for the day and 1657 for the trip. TFTC
This was our third find on today's attack on the smiley face series and find was pretty easy. A new log was required so managed to slip a couple of small notepad sheets into the cache. TFTC and the series, from the inspectorrexteam.
Found this micro cache at 3:09pm We are glad to have found this cache and we are smiling. Still more to find. TFTC
It never ceases to amaze us that people will carry a bottle or can with drink in it BUT as soon as it's empty it becomes too heavy to carry out again !!!TFTC
Walked along the creek bed for this one. Pondering is this creek natural or man made.
Wow we have finished this amazing walk in the bush with a smiley all round
Thanks to Tigersden for the placement and a special thanks to JTNsilo for adopting this series so every one gets a chance to have as much fun as us
Log signed and returned to its cubby
Thanks

In the process of adopting the Smile series of caches. should all be up and running within a few more days .

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.
The guidelines indicated that regular visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by 5th August,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Repair and/or Replace your cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (by 5th August). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, it is likely that I will need to Archive it on the basis that it has been abandoned. Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the advice posted above.

Found with Tassie expat. See her answers for further tips. Thanks for placing these caches, we had a terrific walk; series like this are the reason I took up geocaching.
frmen1 and I spent the morning wandering around the forest in foot. Easy walking mainly. The log is disintergrating. Falling apart in my hands. Signed what we could. TFTC

Tftc. Been back a few times. Couldn't find this a few years back. Today it's in plain sight.
The boys and I made the find, and noted the sun was starting to get lower. Time to return to the car and just do the caches close to the road.. Don't want to be navigating these tracks in the dark! tftc tigersden
Today we set our sights on the smiley face and managed to find them all. The geoart will look great on our map. Thanks for the time and effort in setting up this face. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the forest. TFTC
Another good find while exploring the area.
Enjoyed this trail of caches.
*Thanks for making my trip fun!*

Tackled the smiley face on Friday with Kalianna Kachers. Very proud teacher of all my students efforts, it was a big day for them in the rain! Thank-you for all the caches we absolutely loved it
We found it together as an end of term activity. Did the whole outer circle!

easy find. got a text from the girls saying they had not found one and had only got two so far. We only had two more to go to get to the agreed meeting point...keep going
Found with geofamily. I am visiting the Bendigo district having traveled from Queensland. It Has been dream of mine for some time to complete the "Smiley" series of caches. Today i made a start.
Thankyou so much for this adventure Tigersden

First day back at school for my little geoson, and a lovely cool morning, so I took this opportunity to try to complete the smiley face and get my step count up...which I certainly did! No snakes spotted but heaps of spiders. Thank you for the cache tigersden
I set off from Melbourne, with my bike attached to the car, for a few days of caching around Bendigo. After stopping off for some fuel (a great pie from a local bakery) I headed straight to this series as I really want a smiley face made up of smiley faces.
For some reason I decided to complete the series in a clockwise direction...outer ring first then the facial features on the second lap.
Luckily I have kevlar bands inside my bike tyres as there is a lot of sharp and spiky material around the area. I could have done with some kevlar trousers to protect my legs.
This was a quick find. TFTC.

A great day out with M1L5 caching for the day it's been a while since getting together and going away to we decided to go to Bendigo and get the rest of the smiley we enjoyed this series and have now completed the smiley tftc
After finding the 3000 challenge as y 3000th find, I headed to here to have another attempt at this cache I had DNF'd some time ago and to finally complete this series. Drove the geopaj down the "track" to 200m away and started the walk - this time I had plenty of daylight but once at GZ I had the cache in hand in the first place I looked - it definitely wasn't there last time (that's my excuse anyway!) Thanks to tigersden for this one and the series, glad to finally complete it!
As a group SQAU, AQAU myself went to find the last of these caches that we did not get time for the first go around.
Caches were all in good order today and we moved quickly from one to another walking most of the way.
Thank you tigersden we had a great day out

Back in Bendigo to finish the smile face. Found with aqua and m&d?
Thanks tigerden

Another quick find for me but I liked this container and a nice new and dry log to sign. A pesky bee kept approaching me as I was trying to return the log to its container. Not sure why. I smell nothing like nectar, and since I've never been stung by a bee before I'm not sure if I'm allergic or not so I like to avoid them. Thanks for this cache tigersden!
A nice quick find for the series after the Bendigo event Looking forward to the rest. With Sorcy Sal & Shamus 1
