With all the recent wet weather the tree has bitten the dust. Cache has been removed and am Archiving now.
Its anniversary time and this year its GMelbs turn to choose the secret destination which is Port Albert (in the hope there may be an Aurora) Today we set off to do some caches in the surrounding town and this was first to complete (but 2nd to start. The Cemetery Multi will be finished later) What a fantastic initiative the Blue tree is! Cache was a nice easy find. TFTC 2max - GJMMelb
On our way towards the Tarra Bulga national park, we stopped here for a short break. So of course, we looked if this place has a cache as well and it turned out, it has. TFTC MatzE346
I love the blue tree initiative. Needed to head back to the car to find something to help me extract this one cause I couldnt reach it. Tftc
Heading to the Victoria Hotel in Alberton for a counter meal.
Quick find here. Took the TB

Driving past and noticed the tree, didn’t realize that was where the GZ was! Chucked a you turn and went back. Quick find, such a shame there was so much rubbish in the GZ.
Thanks for the cache

It’s road trip time. With plenty of places out east that have yet to be explored, OzHockeyChick and I set off to see some sights in Gippsland.
An interesting tree here at the rest stop. A nice quick find.
Thanks 2max for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Stopped by here on the way back from visiting my good mate Albert from the Port. Some amazing tasting fish and chips to keep me flying.
Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 2 in company of Bazzars. A cache on a cold wet windy day on route from Foster to Sale. Thanks from D B-A
On our way from Lakes Entrance to Foster on a rainy Day. Sometimes the spot is just sò logical.. Tftc
Me and wife and puppychoo driving past both said that gotta b a geo and it was tftc
Well I was now supposed to be on my 6 week adventure up to Outback Queensland but with my knee failing me I just had to turn back around and head home.
So after 3 weeks of rest at home I was getting cabin fever so for the last week I just had to get out so Western Victoria beckoned so I could grab a few LGA’s and UBD Country VIC maps which would not involve a lot of walking.
So after finishing of Western Victoria I’m now heading to North Eastern Victoria to do the same.
This will be a 4 day whirl wind tour of a lot of Victoria.
Myrtleford’s LGA and UBD map and Corryong’s UBD map are done and dusted so now it’s now to head South down the Omeo Hwy from Tallangatta to Bairnsdale to stay overnight.
Got up nice and early to make it back home in the afternoon and of course cover 2 more UBD maps as well.
I have seen quite a few Blue trees in my recent travels but did not know the meaning of them.
Thanks for informing us about them and highlighting this one for us.
Thanks 2max TFTC.

My partner & I were racing as soon as we pulled in... he literally jumped out of the moving car to race over there first.
Very easy find in some grand old tree that’s been highlighted.
The cache was soon found and I’m glad I’m not short.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
I visited 5 TB.

Found by Rebel Acts.
Sitting at home bored out of my mind as my driving is limited at the moment and I got a call from My good mate Omegaman1971 asking if I wanted to come for a drive as he was going past Warragul, I needed to get out of the house so I said yes.
This is one of the caches we found today. nice area but sure was a smell.
Thanks 2max for the cache.

Was great to be back in the area today, I was actually on my way to Alberton to deliver some first aid training at the primary school. I also picked up Rebel Acts on the way for the drive and maybe a few caches before work.
Found with no problems but the container as a strong smell of animal urine....I hope animal!
Maybe gz is a home or nest for some locals.
Cheers for the cache

Found it! We had a great weekend in Port Albert but now it was time to head home. Stopped here and found a quick cache. TFTC SL
After fish and chips at Port Albert found this one on they way back to the caravan park love the tree tftc
On the 22nd October 2021 the local Alberton West CFA painted this amazing old tree, an amazing new colour - Blue! The tree was painted as their contribution to the Blue Tree project which aims to raise awareness and encourage conversations around mental health. From the website:
“Our mission is to help spark difficult conversations and encourage people to speak up when battling mental health concerns.
By spreading the paint and spreading the message that "it’s OK to not be OK", we can help break down the stigma that’s still largely attached to mental health.”
Check out the website for more information: www.bluetreeproject.com.au
To date there are 687 blue trees registered with the project, whilst the majority can be found in Australia, there are a small number which are international. A great initiative for something we all need to talk more about.
Well done to the Alberton West CFA for creating a wonderful talking point, and also installing lights so the tree can be seen at night, as a shining beacon of light in the darkness. And also a very huge thanks for being great sports in signing the log book, and safely returning the cache to its hiding spot.

Tftc 2max. Just left Yarram today where it was windy and 16 degrees. Drove into a massive squall as we approached Alberton, now it's 7 degrees! But the rain stopped and we came in from the Yarram side but blocked by a fallen limb. This meant a backtrack and in from the west.
Thanks for the cache!. Finishing some jobs in Yarram, grabbed this one on the way back to melbourne!
Easy find with tassie expat while exploring this nice area. I hoped to chuck a line in while parked here but it's pretty overgrown. Thanks for the cache anyway.
Geocache-sanitise-repeat. frmen1 and I decided that a drive to Yarram was today's outing. A quick grab between car. TNLN. Returning took a bit more patience. This road can get quite busy. TFTC
quick find but big reach in. took TB, left TB. morning tea stop as we cycle east then north fully loaded.
This is my first Geocache after being a long time lurker! So much fun especially since I drive past so many on my way to work! Great hiding spot!
We were a bit worried when we read the clue. But after giving the biggest geokid a leg up we had the cache in hand and some happy cachet’s with new swaps!
Went to Port Albert for fish & chips but closed . Decided to brighten the day with a smile. Easy find. TFTC
Nice easy find on a stop on the way back from Yarram heading to Melbourne. Thanks
We're staying in nearby Yarram and today I decided to come out for a drive to see some scenery. And grab some caches too, of course
Thanks for find #1568

Wonderful find but didn’t need much looking. Bring a tall person and some grass clippers. TFTC.
Nice little spot to stop for a bit. Quick find before making the drive back to Sale. Thanks for drawing us here.

On the way home from a walk in the Prom we stopped to pick up some caches on the South Gippsland Highway. Luckily there were not too many people about today allowing me to have a look without muggles. Quick find. TFTC
Fun quick find with GEOdog.
