Weve come to Stanthorpe for 2 nights in our van to hopefully finish getting enough caches to earn the current souvenirs. We went to a winery for our daughter in law this afternoon when we arrived and then got a few caches on our way back. These were well worth the detour. Thanks wingaap and pajamateam for the placement and maintenance of these caches.
I loved seeing the old full logbooks going back ten years, and Mrs Owl would have enjoyed the silhouette art, but I left her behind to sleep off the wine
We headed out of town today with the Elementary Series and a group of high favourited trads in our sights along with any other caches we might pass by. We weren't disappointed on both fronts. It was a cold day with light winds so looked warmer than it actually was. We were pleased to be in and out of the car so the cold didn't really get to us. There were showers as we returned into town, and then the sun came out brightly. Melbourne weather!!Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache pajamateam.**SKI Pair****
Visiting Stanthorpe for a few days. The winery I wanted to go to isn't open yet and I saw these ones with so many likes so had to come investigate.
We were out having a drive around when I read a message from a some friends (ILTW) to let us know about this series of caches they happened across this morning. We were only 5km away so it was a pleasant detour . TFTC - loving this series
Heading back and picking up those where we couldnt safely park going in quick grab TFTC
My friend and I had been in Stanthorpe for a short break this week; today was our last day. I had wanted to do this little trail for a while so with him driving and me navigating we made short work of them today. The caches did not disappoint and I gave a few favourite points away. The grass was very long here so I stomped my way to gz for the find. Tftc!
We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. We really appreciated the crafting of this one. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Quick little drive by after finding a way to get to the road. Brilliant little container. Love this little trail to no were. No birds this time. TFTC
This weekend, an overnighter at Girraween National Park was planned with the aim to tackle Mount Norman. An early start on Saturday had me attend Warwick parkrun and visit Warwick, Leslie Dam, Stanthorpe, and then Girraweeen to walk to Underground Creek. On Sunday, it was a walk/hike through Girraween's south vicinity visiting Mount Norman, Castle Rock, and Turtle Rock, before venturing across the NSW border, and then heading northwards via Ballandean and Stanthorpe, detouring past the *Elementary* series and *Stan's Apple* series.
Today, I joined Beardman75, Davinells, and wayn0, and we spent the morning with a hike in the southern vicinity of Girraween National Park. A tough expedition to Mount Norman's geocache, and after taking a breather with the group and then saying farewell, I continued north via Castle Rock, The Sphinx, and Turtle Rock, thanking the car shuffle for only making my journey a one-way walk. It was then a southern drive towards Tenterfield for a few geocaches, before proceeding back north targeting geocaches with high Favourite Points, in particular the cluster around Fletcher. It was then a detour towards the *Elementary* series, and lastly, I took a few more stops west of Stanthorpe finding a few more of *Stan's Apple* geoart, and completing the [Stanthorpe Art and History](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/99df815e-d7c7-4bde-8575-b2c5ff71d8cc) Adventure Lab, before fatigue and daylight got the better of me, and I proceeded home.
This geocache had been on my priority/target list given the high Favourite Points (FPs), with it having 28 FPs as of the time of my visit.
I followed my GPS into the small scrub area, and after a couple of minutes, I spotted a likely hiding place that housed the cache. As to be expected, another well-constructed cache by its former CO, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wingaap for the cache placement, and pajamateam for its ongoing maintenance.

Visiting from Coffs Harbour and a was recommended to try this series and now I can see why. Very interesting caches.

More than one burnt out tree to look in, and wasn’t found in the first! These logbooks are full. TFTC

Beautiful work!
We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.
Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.

Spent a lovely weekend on the Granite Belt with Sausage3. While our husbands had a nana nap, we spent the afternoon geocaching, mostly avoiding the rain. Great to find a trail of Wingaap caches out here and no one else about. Tftc
This took a little bit cause of jumping coordinates and so much possibility to hide a GC.

Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt.
Found with Willis007 and chamad.
Found with Willis007 and chamad.
PirateLinda and I have come down for Beardman75’s Catch-up in Stanthorpe event tonight… Apparently people come here in the middle of winter… for fun… Being our only full day in town, it was all about Girraween…
Having conquered Girraween, or at least some of it, a group of us are making our way back towards Stanthorpe…
Found with PirateLinda, Willis007, and chamad…
It was such a pleasant surprise to find a wingaap trail here… a really great addition to what has already been a wonderful day…

After a very early start to the day yes 4 am on the second coldest day in the year. Willis007 and I left Brisbane and headed to Stanthorpe and Girraween for a walk and catchup with a few other crazy people. It got to -4 degrees at one point of the journey but that did not stop the enthusiasm of the group.
We finished our big trail walks and started to collect caches around the area. We headed south to a particular challenge cache for Willis007 and then we headed north back towards town, collecting more caches, timing it to finish before our dinner event at 5.30pm.
We bumped into Peppa and Pirate linda and suggested we cache together for a while. We started down this road and found a little trail of wingaap caches. This trail did not let us down and in true fashion a surprise at each cache. I have just giving a bunch of favourite points to this run of caches, well done. It was a great bonus to an already fun day. Thank you and it was good to see these still here after 10 years.

A great day out in Girraween National Park with chamad, Peppa, Pirate Linda and Beardman75. The main focus was to visit some of the waypoints for the earthcache in the area, and to attend the event in the evening.
Of course, there are always plenty of caches to visit while in the area, we made sure we made the most of the beautiful day.
I must say I was very surprised to see a trail of Wingy caches, they are always so wonderfully thought out and put together.
A quick find at gz, thanks wingaap for bringing me here.

We spotted something suspicious and pulled a burnt log aside to find the shadows. Thanks for the cache
Did a maintenance check on the caches I adopted from Wingaap today. All is good with this one. I think there is two logs in this one but if you look through them both you should find a space.
I found this one just over 5 years ago. All I put was Thanks back then. I generally put a lot more effort in my logs now and very few are the same.
Enjoy this cache like so any before have done

After 10 years on the road, we have finally decided to settle and put some roots down. Warwick is our chosen town. While we wait impatiently for settlement, we sit out time in our caravan, or go shopping for furniture, or go caching! Settlement has been delayed by a few days, so we went for a drive today down to Wallangarra and back. Started picking up caches around Ballandean.
Ished my blood at this cache. Cut myself on the two shadows. Thanks wingaap

I had to come back to continue the series along this road after having to head home after the last one. Found it after a bit of searching (and checking the hint). Nicely crafted, TFTC.
This was another nicely crafted decoration on a rugged cache. Very good. All is well with cache and contents.
Thanks wingaap.
Thanks wingaap.
TFTC. It’s a good thing we’re finding the caches now, before the wineries, ‘cause we wouldn’t be after.
Heading to Stanthorpe for caching. Took two extra days of. Yippee. Now day three
Todays haul 29 and the breakdown is 11 traditional, 8 mystery and 2 Adventure Lab with 10 waypoints. Lots of fun finding caches or learning stuff about the local area.
Thank you CO for bringing me to outback Queensland.
Sorry for the generic log

On my way back from Stanthorpe to Tenterfield today, I was lured into turning off the highway by the large number of favourite points the caches down this back road have received. They are indeed nicely put together caches and so much better than what we tend to see so thanks for going to the effort wingaap, and for the smiley.

Based in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney, we are meandering our way North towards the Mega event in Dayboro Queensland on the Easter long weekend.

I was blessed enough to spend the weekend away, caching and camping in Texas, Stanthorpe, Girraween and Toowoomba. The weather and company were perfect. Not so the loud and obnoxious teenagers camping next door! That aside, it was a fabulous weekend.
We were finished in Stanthorpe, and heading towards Girraween, and I decided to take a drive down Wingaap lane. Sadly, I don't have enough FPs for Wingaap lane to be truly honoured. This cache embodies everything I love about geocaching - a great location, great company, great creativity, and great implementation. Wingaap, you never cease to amaze me - thank you once again for a great cache. I wish I had some FPs left.

Tftc wingaap, love the effort in making this tribute container for this cache. Fave point for sure
Queensland border closures put an end to a Bromance extended hiking adventure in Oxley Rivers National Park in NSW. Still needing a break, a Bromance plus weekend trip to Stanthorpe with Seffnjarah, JeznDez, Swellerfungus and Lady Sim was organised
SeffnJarah, Deznjez and I got an early start today and planned to focus on collecting rare and unloved caches today, After a big day, we checked into our cosy accommodation, got a fire going and then headed back out to collect the caches along this road.
Thanks Wingapp.

After a long anticipated 4 day hike in NSW, that was originally planned for this week, had to be abandoned because of the border closures, Crookedpete, JezNDez and I rearranged the week to start with a hike along the Stretcher Track and end with an extended weekend hiking in Giraween.
Leaving Brisbane early Friday morning to avoid any peak hour traffic, our first stop was for coffee and some breakfast in Warwick before heading on towards Stanthorpe via the back roads in search of a number of unloved caches.
After stopping in town for some lunch we headed off again to gather a number of other caches, before checking in to our accommodation. Settled in, we still had some daylight to burn so headed back out for a few other caches nearby including this one.
The last time I had cached down this road was back in October 2013. At the time I was travelling with family and some friends and visits to wineries took precedence over geocaching so I had to pass this one by. Glad to be able to return today and sign my name in the logbook. TFTC

Nice artwork on these caches and I like how due to low risk of being muggled they're so easy to find haha. Tftc!
More art. Still only faint noises from the highway. Birds call surround us. Tftc
On our 4th day of holidays in Stanthorpe. While we were all at the cache a car drove past and stopped to check we were ok. When we all piled out of the bush I waved and he continued on. Not sure what he thought we were up to. TFTC!
I'm showing my age here but I couldn't help humming Silhouettes on the Shade, a great sixties song.
Because these caches are so good we are eagerly searching and there is no way we would walk away without finding each one.
Thanks for the experience Wingaap

Continuing the return along this road, happy with my finds, we pulled up here and while Fangsoki kept the aircon running in a spot in the shade, I headed over to the likely spot to make a quick find.
I am pleased to say there were no shady characters hanging around here today, but another quality wingaap cache to be enjoyed by all.
Thanks for the cache wingaap.

Back at the Mega in 2015 we met Mr 2 shadows at his Noah's Ark cache...lovely tribute cache. TFTC wingaap.
Making our way north we have now reached the granite belt and there are a lot of interesting and quite spectacular rock formations around. This was a nice easy cache to find with ilook4geo. After doing the signing duties, all was put back into its place before we headed on our way for the day. Thanks go to wingaap for putting this cache into play.
We are now caching in the granite belt with goingplaces2 and enjoying finding some fun and interesting caches. This one was easy to find and soon had our names on the paper. TFTC.
Thank you so much for doing such fantastic caches. MrGravel and I have been having a ball seeing these creative caches
There were plenty of candidates for a hide here but I soon eliminated the dud ones to get my hands on the prize.

Driving down the dirt road, I gave the phone to Mrs Woodyrothwell so I could keep an eye on the dirt. When she counted down close I would look for a spot to park and we would jump out and race to the cache.
We parked and she said 5 metres and jumped out to where she thought it was. I just assumed I was too slow out of the gate but after I saw her fumbling around for a minute I started to believe there was a chance.
I looked down at the phone and it corrected and soon as I got out of the car. 25 metres away and on the other side of the road. Glory was mine! tftc

TFTC! Now which burnt out tree and what side of the road? But got there in the end.
Travelling along the country road bought us to another good cache. Easy found. TFTC
We always found ourselves guessing which side of the road it would be before checking the GPS, sometimes it was on the side we guessed and sometimes not. Mrs 4ando jumped out here and made another find for the 4ando team while the get away driver was ready to spin up some dirt, so happy we didn’t wash the car before coming out here.

Stanthorpe road trip with barbbowman and Miss14 and do we have some adventures planned!
When we had decided to come to Stanthorpe for a couple of days, I had been looking at the caches that were around and was very excited to see a familiar CO's name - the very wonderful Wingaap. I love Wingy caches and looking at the numbers of favourite points these caches had, I knew that we had to come find them and that they would be something special
Another lovely tribute for a lucky CO. TFTC Wingy

Loved your caches wingaap!
Out on a circuit from King Storm dam to pick up as many caches, and souvenirs, as possible. All that were attempted were eventually found, some taking longer than others. Mostly all the caches were in good condition though some had damp logs. I particularly enjoyed those caches that had been created by their COs, though even some of those made me feel very uncomfortable with their placement whether it was because it was on private property or so close to the highway that they didn't allow for good parking.
Big thanks to COs for placing and maintaining these caches which add another dimension to our travels.
All logs were signed with full name or as SG as I often do depending on space available, tthough signing was not necessarily straightafter the previous logger as sometimes I filled in a space.
