A quick find whilst travelling around The Mount today....Got it eventually, about 10m from the logical coordinates...TNLNSL Thanks
We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, the back roads, and the wild southern seas. TFTC. LNCU.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Mount Gambier for a week to grab some of the local hides. Its been sixteen years since since we were last here so enjoying the re-visit. Love the country roads caching. Tricky but persistence paid off -our gps said 7 mts. Thanks for the hide
I selected my preferred coordinates and found something that was definitely abandoned a while ago. Cache found about 12m wide of GZ but all in good shape. TFTC
Found the structure and a nice little rocky hidey hole but nothing within.
We join 2 other DNFs unfortunately.

Owl had limited time left and spent it searching what she now realisess wasn't the right place at all as the coordinates are 15m out. Next time!
Headed off to the South East for a little recreation with Purrfect Di and Jack.
Plenty to do down this way, and good weather for it too.
We'll all be rooned Finally found this little b$%^$#
Many thanks to skytrol for placing and maintaining this heaps good cache

- - Search at a good social distance whenever you can - or at least with nice safe friends - -
Things may eventually be getting back to whatever normal might be - take it carefully!
Catching covid or gastro or anything really messes up your streaks and challenges!
Keep away from all the viral bugs ( except nice travel bugs of course )
[|)] - let's all go and vaccinate, one day when it's available lol !
[|)] - keep away from people as much as you can, they still spread the nasty bugs! [:o)]
[|)] - go out and find or place some new caches in our safe country areas away from allthe red zones
Cache life's good. Enjoy ! ! ! Just do it

Found It!
I arrived here and did a lot of wandering around looking under rocks but no cache was found. Then Freddo and TriggerFishDork arrived. Then I found the cache. Not sure why that took so long. Freddo's GPS suggested the coordinates are not too bad. Interesting little place!

Out on a road trip with CPwanderer around the Limestone Coast.
We parked as close as we could on the nearby road & walked in to gz.
After much searching, we PAF a previous finder who gave us precise directions.
gz seems to be about 15 metres out, thanks for the cache & puzzle jess_jase

Found eventually with clare007. We had GZ about 15m. away!! Interesting location.
Some good weather on the radar for today so we made a big list of caches that we had yet to tackle.
Good day was had with only 2 DNF's and NO RAIN. The sun even came out for the afternoon.
Had narrowed this down to 3 from the list but Mr Felix found the cache pretty quickly.

Found during a caching trip with e.gregory1 to south-western Victoria and south-eastern South Australia for a few days. Day 1 saw us travel from Adelaide to Keith, the back-roads past Bordertown to Frances, Edenhope, Harrow, Coleraine, Wannan, Hamilton, Byaduk, Koroit and down to Warrnambool. That night we camped out behind the coastal dunes west of Warrnambool after collecting a sprinkling of local caches. On day 2 we returned to find a few caches around Tower Hill before heading through Port Fairy to Portland, spending the rest of an unpleasantly hot and windy day around Portland and camping out nearby. On day 3 we drove from Portland to Nelson with a detour to Dartmoor, then back to Ewen Ponds, Port MacDonnell, and a circuitous route up to Mt Gambier with a solid days' caching culminating in some rewarding finds around the Blue and Green Lakes. We were very lucky to locate a very pleasant campsite a few kilometres out of town in Xanthorrhoea (grass tree) mixed eucalypt woodland for the night. The final day saw us travel to Millicent to complete the SFE Challenge series, then to Kingston, Salt Creek, Meningie, Tailem Bend, Murray Bridge and return back home. All in all a very eventful and fruitful trip with some great cache finds, some easy drive-bys, challenging tree climbs, a number of strenuous walks and visits to many scenic locations. We found an assortment of traditionals, puzzles, multis, earthcaches, letterboxes and virtuals, including a rewarding first-to-find, a wide range of difficulty-terrain combinations and detours to locate some unloved caches.
Thanks for the cache jess_jase!

I came down with mogni to do cache maintenance on some of her caches in Mount Gambier and surrounds. detoured to this one since we where passing. took longer than expected to find it. Found it 15 meters from where my gps said it should be. If i had read previous logs it would have saved me some time.
Looks like this cache is being maintained by whoever finds it, but it was here today so we were happy, log book was damp and signable, we signed after ian and Jenny who were last in the book. Did the puzzle and we were very happy for once we didn't over think it, and came up with a good result. Thanks jess_jase for the cache and the tour through some back roads. Saw some alpacas, cattle, sheep and of course the odd kangaroo along the drive. TNLNSL...
the mint tin is starting to rust though.

Found this arvo as my first clue for the Mystery in the Museum. One of the only ones left in the area that i can do...
Didn't have a pen as i didn't think i'd be finding a cache today but took a pic to prove i was there. Will sign logbook next time im going past. Good to finally get this cache done

Hi there skytrol.
We've decided to stay in Mount Gambier for a little longer, & today we targeted some caches in the nearby forests. We enjoyed our outing and found 18 caches (& DNF'd 1) in our cache run today. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander our way around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 9m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Just another mint tin cache.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I headed down to the south-east with gridge98 on a quick, two-day trip to find a few caches.
We had some rather mixed weather, with sunshine, rain, hail and wind at different stages, but most of the time it was good weather for caching.
We also had rather mixed results in terms of caches. There were some interesting hides in some terrific places; some along the beaches, some in the pine forests and others at various scenic or interesting locations. We managed a few lucky FTFs, but also a few disappointing DNFs. But all in all, it was a great trip.
Worked this one out before I left home in preparation for the trip. It took a bit of searching at GZ though as either the coordinates are a little out, or there has been some cache creep.
Thanks skytrol for the puzzle and the cache.

Down in the south east region with e.gregory1 on a caching trip.
An interesting locating with probably a lot of history. The puzzle was very simple if you knew what to do but aren’t they all!
Found the cache about 15m from gz

Driving back from Mount Gambier to Adelaide after spending the weekend scuba diving a few sinkholes. I had a small amount of time before heading back, so I drove and grabbed a few caches around the South East area. This was actually a strategic target cache, as I needed the abandoned building attribute due to a Singapore challenge cache.
I had planned a route and thought this would need a dedicated hike around the forest to visit all the waypoints. However upon studying the page a second time around, I spotted something and realised I only needed to visit one waypoint. I also had a further clue once arriving that somewhat confirmed I was right. However, the cache took 20 min looking and I really wanted to get this. Couldn’t believe how hard, and finally made the find next to a slug guardian. A toughie. Just before it started to rain too. Nice one, thanks.

Today we ventured out to grab this one, so we can grab our new souvenir. We got to the starting location punched in all the way points and started our adventure from the closest. About four in and mrs iml72 had the clue worked out TFTC - adding favourite point
Yay, mission completed. Loved walking through and discovering where the old gardens were. Spring is coming, seeing the bulbs coming up.
Suscoe had a terrific day caching to the west on Mount Gambier today.
It was cloudy for most of the day with a cool breeze to keep everything nice and temperate.
We found 40 caches in total which was a lovely number on a beaut day.
Well this ended up being quicker than expected and we soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks to skytrol for this puzzle.
A nice idea.

After checking each location and finding no ruins I was left wondering if any of the rocks I'd found were meant to constitute ruins. I guess I'd made a mistake in the coordinate entry, but luckily on the way back I stumbled across the spot.
Eventually the cache was found, much to my relief! Thanks for the enjoyable and interesting hunt this afternoon

In Mount Gambier for a caching weekend with Mrs. M, as Mr. M was away in Canberra working and perhaps getting a cache or two. Caught up with mogni and headed out for another great day of caches and laughs.
Visited all the waypoints and found, abandoned flowers, bottles, pine forest, and finally a house. Then it appeared the cache had also been abandoned and had to be replaced. Thanks skytol.

I have been meaning to go and find this one for a while, and nearly did for the recent souvenir but ended up finding another puzzle instead. We had to replace entire cache as it needed maintenance as it was in very poor condition.
Lots of abandoned items seen here including the cache. Brisal5 did some maintenance. TFTC.
We had been out here once before but had no luck.. This morning we had a reminder that the we could get two souvenirs today to celebrate Pi Day. One was a mystery cache & one is going out for tea which we are heading to tonight. The puzzle we chose was this one, seeing as we had been here before. We brought GeoDad & the 3 of our Geokiddies to have more eyes. With a small hint from a friend we kept searching. Finally had found it, co-ords where a little out. Cache was wet logged & looked eww.. So we placed another sheet of paper but will need to be replaced sometime soon. Geodad came away with the find today, smart lil cookie. Its amazing what caches bring you too, we came across a Motorbike club.. TFTMC
Found with my (I hate caching) daughter. She was intrigued with it.
I tried to bribe someone to give me the coordinates but they said no. I was glad in the end as I enjoyed the search for the right one.
Tftc guys log is soaking wet and soggy. Will need replacing.

Took a bit of searching for this one, found it 8 metres from where we think GZ was. Log book is a tight fit in container and I don't think it will stand up to repeated removals. TFTC
TFTC what an amazing place ,We really felt like cupid I wonder why lol so peaceful out here seen some kangaroos and awesome birds lovely day for caching SL.
Took a fair look to turn this one up but we got there in the end.
Found with the dynamic duo Freddo and Team Waldron. Thanks for the fun!
Promise I did not leave a plastic dinosaur! Thanks to jess_jase and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Found during a 3 day cache run to Mt Gambier with Astro and Freddo.
A great time was had, especially at the dinner.
We looked and looked.
Cachers have a habit of trashing places like this, so we tried to be be careful.
In the last place we looked we found it.

Had checked a few of the coordinates before coming to this one, it just had to be it, but no luck on a brief search, checked a couple more of the bogus coords provided before Steve and Dani had a wander over, they had it in hand in minutes. Like the previous log though it was a bit away from GZ for this coordinate, but definitely puts you in the right area Quite enjoyed the search around, always makes you think what was here once upon a time. TFTC.
Catching up on on a few hundred missed logs

I think I may have made a personal record as I solved this one in under 30 seconds with a little help from GSAK. Luckily it didn't take too much longer to locate, but very well could have with the number of potential hiding spots around GZ and was uncovered a good way off our indicated GZ.
Thanks for the puzzle and the hunt.

Super early start to a huge day of hunting & hiding & what better way than to chase a FTF. Interesting area, after we found the little fella we had a wander around the area & left wondering who lived here, & what type of building was this?
Great new series looking forward to seeing where the next few take us, love the history of these old places, & thanks for the FTF.
