Looked in on this one while checking all my GCA caches on the Warrnambool to Pt Fairy Rail Trail.
Can confirm that the cache is positively missing.
Can confirm that the cache is positively missing.
Stood right on top of the GPS co-ords, found a great spot where something could have been hidden, but nothing in the space
Our second try in three days. Could not find though we searched and searched
Another opportunity to learn some local history. TFTC. Left Canadian 1 cent, look lanyard (so the lid would close)
Always love a good historic urban hide Really enjoyed this one having good fun exploring the historical station and railway shed (even though some local teens have made a bit of a mess inside) TFTC, took 5 pence and left a little penguin. Leith&Co.

#1931 15:13:00 Now we are on the go from Melbourne to Adelaide. In between we try to log some caches. Today we spent a few hours in Port Fairy. This cache was a quick and nice find.
Thanks for the hide and greetings from Bavaria [green]Sospetto & Sospetta[/green]

A good hide. Had me scrambling around for a while then had to use the hint. A great bike ride up the rail trail from Port Fairy for this one. Looking forward to a downhill tail wind run back. TFTC
Finished all my diving at Mt Gambier, time to grab a few caches with Bettyboo3747 on the way back home.
We didn't know about this rail trail, are you planning to populate the rest of the trail with other excellent caches?
We'll have to get out the deadly treadles and return.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 2824. Was pleased to call in to Koroit today. Used to live here in Garden Street once upon a time. I recall seeing the station in a very run down state back then. It was a pleasant surprise to see it now with lawns and shade and somewhere to sit and rest and great directions to Port Fairy and Warrnambool along the trail. Robmc and I are very keen to bring our bicycles (oh mine was on the back of the car already) and do the trail. Have to try to time it for a non-windy day!! Is there such a thing in the Western District? Anyhow, we made a quick find here. Left: Little Silver Dolphin to stay near the ocean and continue its journey. TFTC
Estimating the date, went on a day trip from Port Fairy, picked up a few caches with kanokanick
Another great little station we found on this trip. Had to wait some time to lose the muggles but it was a quick stealthy in and out once they left!! TFTC
What a pretty place!
My wife's grandmother (who's funeral I was in town to attend) EAS born and bred in Koroit, so I can imagine many of her adventures started at this spot.
I took the opportunity to dash out to the area on my last night in Warrnambool.

Prretended to make a call on my gps while I extracted and replaced the cache.
No one paid too much attention.

Nice quick find. Cache has lots of goodies for junior cachers. The trail is probably nice to ride, but certainly not on a hot day with merciless sunshine like today. We rather enjoyed a little break in the shadow on the seat nearby.

Found This cache on a bit of a road trip with Knightarrant and Tarshawk. Was told by a local Scouter that it couldn't be found when they tried so was glad to locate it. Have reported to the Scouter to try again as it's definitely hidden but present at GC location given.
I liked this cache it's a fantastic old building, it seems to be getting some use, which is encouraging, It would be a shame if it were allowed to dilapidate. sl tftc
Found today while picking up some caches in the area. Geo Husband laments the demise of steam railway everytime he's near an old railway line, and I usually get impersonations of steam trains, but he restrained himself today. Thanks for the cache Wolf.Brother
Catching up on on a few hundred missed logs

The first of seven GC & GCA caches we found along the rail(cache) trail today after parking at Koroit Station and riding down to Kellys Swamp.
A great day out on the bikes all the more fun for all the caches along the way.
Thanks

Passing thru ion our bike trek, we became stationary for a while whilst the cache was sought. Must have been a hive of activity here in the old days. After the find our train of four (2 wheel) carriages departed on time for Port Fairy. TFTC
Today was our second day in Warrnambool so we had to stretch further afield to locate the newer caches.
Last time I was in Warrnambool we made a trip out to Koroit to find a re-established multi. This small little town is becoming more and more familiar to us with each visit how it still manages to hide a few secrets, such as this Rail Trail. I hadn't heard of it before this cache was published however now I think I would like to come back here one day and enjoy the rail trail in its full glory.
After a quick run from the car, the cache was quickly found. Very minimal muggles around this morning, only the horse-riding farmers across the paddock (can't say that on a Melbourne-cache log! ).
Thanks Wolf.Brother, can't wait for the rest of the series to unfold.

A nice quick find today. No muggles as Frog Brother One tried to get this cache last week, however there were too many muggle council workers that day.
Took black car and dinosaur. Left eraser hamster and frog.
A great hide Wolf Brother. TFTC!

Slightly off the track...still removing deposits left in my hair (which cache didn't happen to be anywhere near them!! ) Sl, TNLN TFTC. Our last one for the day
nice and easy didn't even use the GPS for this one just, caching logic a few muggle kids in area or other keen cachers waiting to see who finds. i hope they didn't see us,they couldn't stop starring. had to be very sneeky and probably have more snail poo in my pocket than i wanted. took nothing left nothing due to the mugglers. TFTC
A quick find with geo kids and geo niece. Signed and replaced then kids had a play. TFTC
Nice spot for a cache and what a lovely little town! Would love to come back for the Irish Festival one day!
I don't have a gps so I had to look everywhere lol found it in the end right next to where I left my bike, walk past it like 4 times lol
Great hide! My GPS was a little off so I had to rely on 'Where is the best place to hide a cache around here?'
I arrived here at the wrong time, it was raining cats and dogs.
After a quick look around armed with the umbrella, very pleased to note that I was going to be a FTF.
Great to see that these old buildings are kept in good condition.
First time to visit the station, thanks for taking me there.
Must do the ride one day.
Took a badge and left a small car.
TFTC, SL.
