After a couple of days of coastal caching, we headed inland and picked up quite a few caches as we explored the National Park area and learnt more about the Serpentine Dams. Heading back to base we were able to tick off a few more names on the SWH... list.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** It is virtually impossible to record a visit here as the log is sodden, a maintenance visit by CO would really be appreciated.
Thanks Keego_and_Chil for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Cache found but container completely filled with water. Unable to write on log. Will need maintenance.
Hi there Keego_and_Chil.
We found your cache **"SWH...Lyn Pat and Nathan"** at 3:08:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 14932.
Our plan for the day was to complete some of the SWH series, together with a few others that were also close to the highway. We thoroughly enjoyed our drive attempting caches to the left on our way north and picking up the ones we missed on the return trip. We found a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way, and also managed to pick up a couple of trackables.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge if the container was large enough.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I had some spare time today and I decided to try and tackle some of the South West Highway caches. All the caches were found fairly easily with the odd one taking a little longer than others. Thanks to all the cache owners who have placed a cache here. I loved the huge variety of caches - some very small, others very big. Many of them were very unique
In total, I found 15 caches today. All of the caches were found in a good condition, I signed the log books and replaced them as I found them. Thanks for the hide.

Holidaying in the area with tmann421, collecting some caches along the way.
Another good find here and enjoyed this series of caches. Such a great idea! TFTC

On our way from retrieving the Mystery weekend cache nearby, Mistraluna decided that its time that I gather some SWH smileys. This was one of them. TFTC
Quick drive down the SWH to pick up some caches. I found your cache thanks for the hide.
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I found during WA Goes Big 2016. In an interest to get completely caught up, I am logging my past finds in bulk. I still have work to do after this, as I need to locate my notes from all of my earthcaches, but once those are in, I should be very close to current. I appreciate all the effort you go through to create and place your hides and do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my once pleasant logs. Cheers!
The WA Goes Big 2016 event provided the perfect excuse for me to pack up the wife and travel across to get some caches in WA. I have previously cached WA in 2008 (Perth to Geraldton and back) and 2011 (Kunninara) so it was great to head south from Perth this time.
This series was close to where we stayed during the WA goes big event at Pinjarra.
It was great to have such a great range of quality caches close to the event. TFTC.

Catching up with some late logs, therefore this unfortunately is going to be one of 'those logs'. I apologize in advance for the generic log, A combination of limited time and too many to log dictates that a generic log is best. I have enjoyed the hunt and being outdoors in this great country of ours, partaking in a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually head out by myself, but I thank those that have had the misfortune of my company in some of these ventures.
Thanks Keego_and_Chil for placing this cache.

Found on a fun day caching with Micaparamedic and Ahomburg. We found almost all caches including a couple that had not been found for a while, and a couple of clever hides.

Travelling to Pinjarra for the WA Goes Big weekend after flying over from NSW on Wednesday. Searching for the SWH series plus a few extras. Most were found, interesting variety of caches containers appreciated, a few took a bit of searching to locate and there were a couple of DNFs. Also found was an ants nest, a bee hive and an emu!!! Thank you to all the COs for putting out these caches.
TFTC! Bring a writing stick as none in cache. No swappables in an empty container, so we left one for the next finders!
Cool to know this one was to commemorate the people who placed the first geocache in WA! TFTC
I was in the area today so decided to knock off the two remaining 'Mardella Madness' caches I had yet to find plus hopefully the final. Also a few SWH caches en route sounded like a good idea as well.
A quick find on this one as well. A car pulled up just as I was coming out of the bushes and I presumed they must be fellow caches so sent them a nod and a wink which might have seemed strange as they were actually muggles looking for directions on how to get to Mandurah.
Keego_and_Chil I found your cache at 1:01pm, this was the 12th of 16 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2609. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

On Easter Saturday we headed out to try out our new geo-caravan. We stayed at a caravan park in Serpentine, one of our favourite places. After finding some caches on the SWH, we finished off an enjoyable day with a meal at the Serpentine Tavern. SL TFTC Keego and Chil
Stopped at this cache while out and about on the SWH trail. Spotted the kangaroo, but there was no smell today. Must have moved onto the next phase of decomposition.

Another well deserved tribute cache for the longevity of Albany Quarantine & it's beautiful setting, if nothing else. TFTC

Spending the Saturday on the South West Highway chasing the SWH series and some other caches.
Found this one easily too, TFTH.

I was out of the house early and heading from the Perth down to Dunsborough. What a perfect opportunity to cruise down the South Western Highway and rack up a few caches along the way. I would have loved to hunt for these all day but my time commitments curbed my efforts to stop at Pinjarra. I found this to be a much more scenic trip than via Forrest Hwy and there are so many more places to stop along the way. Quick find here. Picked up 10 years of geocaching geocoin. TFTC Keego and Chil
Nice quick find didn't even need the GPS went straight to the 'where would i hide a cache spot'

Really enjoying these SWH caches today. Another quick find with just a few more cobwebs .. Excellent spot for a cache too. Thanks again Keego and Chil..
Was intending of starting a different series but my motorbike decided to be difficult and military stacking it (lol) and snapping off her brake lever we just decided to get a few more of th SWH series in the long trek back home. Tftc
A day caching with S'n'N planning to tackle the Stand by Me series on our pitbikes. But after a failed mission due to the bikes breaking we decided to hit the SWH instead. TFTC
TFTC! Out for a weekend caching run to Bunbury with Cravo10 and ItsKate to complete the South West Highway trail, some Moneybox caches in Capel and of course as many others along the way. Thanks
Doing the south west highway trail with barnzy12 and itskate today. The weather was amazing and made for a great day. Started at 6am in byford. Signed the logs in a few different variations from full names to first letters and date.
Out with Barnzy12 and Cravo10 on this beautiful Saturday on a long hunt from Byford down to Bunbury, what an amazing day. TFTC
There are plenty of good trees along SWH for hiding caches. Another quick find. TFTC
I took the chance to get out of the house and find a few caches today by heading to the South West Hwy and ticking off as many as I could from Byford to Pinjarra. I started at about 8.30am and finished up just before 6pm. I stopped for lunch at the Pinjarra Bakery before heading north again to grab the ones on the other side of the road. I'm sorry for the standard log, but there were too many for me to remember each one. TFTC Keego_and_Chil
This was one of the finds I had today. A great weekend traveled down from Geraldton to spend all day Saturday Geocaching with my Sister we found 61 all up completely worn out but what an Awesome day.
Although I'm hitting these ones up from the wrong direction, there are no problems finding parking spots on the other side of the highway either. A quick find here. Thanks for the cache Keego_and_Chil!
On the way from Serpentine to our campground we found this drive by cache quickly. Thank you!
On our way from Serpentine to Perth we discovered a lot of these really nice Caches, what are not done 08/15. to be honest, I lost the overview as I did not log them at once. Thats the Point why I do now the same Text for the ones, where I cannot remember Details. TftC!
Found this one while out with Rigstrigs. Lots of kangaroos in nearby paddock. TFTH Keego and Chil
A quick hunt before tea. Witnessed a close encounter between kangaroos and car. Cache an easy find but not recommened for youger geocachers because of busy road. TFTF. : )
Today was my last day of vacation in Oz before returning to Sweden and my goal of obtaining my 4000th cache in Australia was just around the corner. Therefore me and corjam11 went out with a vengeance today to get my last 60 caches and we chose the South West highway to get them and a few others on the way. This was one of them, TFTC
Early Sunday morning before work, Doing a run down the SWH picking up a few caches, last one for the morning...TFTC
I was out for an early morning caching run and decided to clear any remaining caches between Mundijong and Karnup Roads. All caches were nice easy finds with spot on coordinates. A nice variety of containers . Too many spiders though

Firstly I'd like to apologise for the generic log, I did the SWH run after a 12 hr nightshift and it was a record breaking trip for me with 62 finds total and only 2 DNF. I didn't take notes at every cache. Thank you to all the COs for placing the caches.
I decided to indulge myself and have an early Christmas present. I had a day off but my wife still had to go to work so I planned a full days caching. I packed my lunch and a few bottles of water and set off.
A quick dash across the road to make another quick grab, luckily the traffic is not too bad yet.

Getting everything logged from my recent trip to Western Australia. The first two weeks were slammed while I was on assignment but I managed to get out every day for a find or two. Got to visit some really remote places like Meekathara and Wiluna and got down to the beaches near Marybrooke and Naturaliste. For the few days I had to myself I hit the Wandoo, the Albany Hwy and the Southwest Hwy Series. So I covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of Western Australia. I had to get used to a lot of things, like driving on the left side of the road, give rather than yield, take away rather than take out and yes with a question mark is asking for conformation. Just goes to show we may speak the same language but words don't always mean the same thing. Sorry for the cut and paste nature of the logs but I have a lot to log and my sanity is important. Thanks to all the locals for the hospitality I was shown while there and thanks to the CO's for the hides, the fun and another smiley on the map. See you on the trail, and cache on!
We decided to tackle some caches on the Southwest Highway, between Armadale & North Dandalup.
Enjoyed the variety of caches, some with interesting camo, and good hides.
Looking forward to meeting the cachers represented in this series, in the near future or at coming events.
Many thanks for the cache, Keego_and_Chil.

I remember I was sat in Dunedin, logging Caches, after a busy day at the NZ mega, when the very first alerts started to come through for this series and thought what a great morning out that it would be to complete them all.
Unfortunately the best part of a year has passed since then and the series has quadrupled in size, so the morning out had now turned into an overnighter !
Teamed up with Team Felix and headed South, the weather forecast was shocking, with heavy showers at best and thunderstorms at its worst but with a little good fortune we managed to miss the precipitation.. though we got very damp underfoot !!!
An excellent day out collecting a large variety of different hides.

We have been hankering to tackle this series since they started being published last year and we were in NZ for the Mega with The Machman. As we often cache with The Machman we agreed there and then that we would tackle this series together, but It has taken 11months for us to organise 2 days away with The Machman to attempt this series and the forecast of storms, lightning and pouring rain was not going to stop us! We did however chicken out of camping overnight and have booked a cabin.
Hmmm the start of the water getting in our way here. Mr Felix pulled off the road, or so he thought, not quite enough room for the GeoCruiser and a tree 'smacked' into the wing mirror - whack before the car came to a stop.
Really pleased to see a tribute to these guys, not only are they the first placers, they seem to carry that as a burden 10+years later with non stop requests for them to attend events. [B)]
A fave from us for including these 'living legends'

Bit stressful for a geomum and geonana with all the cars whizzing by, but found quite easily when we got to gz.
Without intending to be on the SWH trail today we found ourselves engrossed in the pursuit of this series. Just one more, I said, and now its seven. So we signed the log and resigned ourselves that the afternoon is wasted..again! Let's head South a little further.
