Quick park and grab on day 2 of our desert crossing from Birdsville to Mt Dare.TFTH
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.The name of this cache sums it up perfectly. Really enjoying out Simpson desert crossing. Thanks to Elon for allowing us to log this remotely. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
On a 2 week family trip going through the simpson desert from south eastern victoria and grabbing some caches on the way . Out plans changed due to the rains so we needed to flip our route and start our desert crossing from dalhousie Springs and finish at birdsville. Now at birdsville we are stuck here due to all roads being closed for now. Anyway back to the cache.Easy find and actually had some car dramas on the way back north to the French line. A shock nut came off and the driver's side rear shock came off. After walking back on the track I luckily enough found the rubber bush, washer and nut on the track! All fitted back on and kept moving.TFTC
Thanks for bringing us out here just a bit bumpy heading back home but it was a great adventure
Yeap it felt like the middle of nowhere, but after crossing from the west it was starting to feel like somewhere.
Thanks for the cache Ben and Benji

This is always somewhere. The thing is I love it here and never call it nowhere!
This cache was found as part of an EPIC TRIP! to cross the Simpson Desert in July 2020. We crossed the desert without incident thanks to the smooth expert driving of H423L. There were many rocks, water holes, railway sidings and big dunes. Of course there was this cache too. The nights were clear and the stars were bright.
Thanks to Ben and Benji and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Found as part of an extended trip with FeatherWaite, Freddo, Team Waldron and a couple of non-caching friend that saw us travel from Adelaide to Coober Pedy, through the Painted Desert to Oodnadatta, then on to Dalhousie and Mount Dare, before crossing the Simpson Desert to Birdsville and then back down to Adelaide via Marree and the Flinders Ranges.
We had pretty good weather, with moderately warm days and cool nights, but plenty of flies!
It was great to be able to find some remote caches in some really interesting and scenic locations.
Thanks Ben and Benji for the cache.

Cache was found as part of a Simpson Desert trek by Team Waldron, Freddo, Featherwaite, E_Gregory1 and a couple of muggles.
After Coober Pedy it was off to Dalhousie Springs then across the desert to Birdsvaille south to Clayton Springs and then one last night in the Flinders.
A great trip and we even had time for a few caches.
Quite an appropriate cache name.

Something to be said about being in the middle of nowhere. Every where else is somewhere.

Found in the company of Freddo, e.gregory1, Team Waldron, occasional cacher out of retirement SteadyOn and muggle friend Tony during an awesome trip to the Simpson Desert, staying at Coober Pedy, then camping out at Dalhousie Springs, three nights in the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, Clayton Bore and Aroona Valley. Thanks for the cache Ben and Benji!
Conveniently the convoy pulled up for oncoming traffic. Right at the cache!! Yay no negotiation needed! NFF
Traveling on a Central Australia adventure with the awesome K8tybee. On the hunt for as many australian counties as we can get! Thrilled to be crossing the Simpson as part of our trip - can’t believe how busy and beautiful it is. Thanks to everyone who keeps these awesome caches maintained. Such a brilliant trip. Tftc

Over the past few weeks a group of us explored the Simpson Desert traversing along the Rig Road, WAA Line, French Line and the Hay River Track. Wow what an adventure we had out in the desert, except for the flies!
An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Crossing the Simmo east to west, we took a short detour down here to have a look at the Knolls. I put my drone up and got a much better perspective and appreciation of them than is afforded by views from the ground. A short drive down to the cache location, before returning to the French Line and continuing West. TNLN. Cheers Ben & Benji
Not really the middle of nowhere [B)] - there are lots of things to see out here and you still have to watch where you're going .
Quickly found . TNLNSL.
Thanks Ben and Benji.

We were well and truly in the middle of our Simpson crossing with DazzPete, and with the scent of chicken hanging heavily in the air, we made the quick find and signed our lives away uninterrupted, due to being in the middle of nowhere and there being no one around except us and every single fly in the world.
No way off back up the track to camp for the night....with all the flies....

Might be the middle of nowhere but we were sure we were somewhere. It was a great drive to this spot. We are travelling across the Simpson Desert on our way home from the Alice event during Easter. We took a side trip off to grab this cache. It was quickly found and replaced. TFTC...eatmorchikin from Brisbane.
Hi Cachers, if anyone is looking to do this cache to/from the Alice Mega can you please message me. I'm keen to do a Simpson desert crossing but I'm short of a travel buddy. Cheers
Quick find on an epic trip across the Simpson Desert. Many TFTC in a beautiful part of this country and for breaking up the long journey.
Found with Borisb&natasha on our Simpson Desert trip. Thanks for placing this in the middle of nowhere so us geocachers have something to find
On a wonderful trek with Gonefishen07 heading across the Simpson Desert and beyond. Thanks to all the COs who have provided some fantastic entertainment along the way. TFTC and for bringing us here.
This was a quick find which raised the spirits somewhat after a nearby failure. Returned to its hidey hole after signing duties were completed. TFTC TNLN SL

Found on a run across the French Line in the Simpson Desert. A slight diversion to visit the cache and to rest from constant climbing of sand dunes.. Found a nice camp site on Knolls track not far from here to spend the night. Thanks for the cache in a wild and isolated area..cheers from the Burton's.
Central Australia trip Crossing the Simpson and Innaminka, August 2014. After many years away from the Oodnadatta track and Innaminka, it was time for a another tour. This time in Company with seven cars to tackle the obstacles. Caching opportunities were a little thin, but the ones that were out here are all in great places. After a few days in the desert it was nice to see a cache to find. Thanks.

Heading across the Simpson with the Victorian Scout 4x4 Service Unit. And i was surprised that i was able to find a cache on each of the days i was in here. Not that i normally try to have a streak, but at the moment it is working great. Thanks for all the hides.
A group of three vehicles with 1 geocacher and 6 muggles aboard set out to traverse the Simpson Desert from West to East. This adventure was accomplished over a two week period which commenced in Renmark, where we met on Saturday 28th June, and finished in Mildura two weeks later were we went our separate ways. The route took us up to Marree then along the Oodnadatta Track, an overnight stop was enjoyed at Hamilton Station campground before we turned toward Dalhousie Springs via Perdirka Ruins. Arriving at Dalhousie saw us setting up camp before a dip in the springs was enjoyed. Three days later saw us 'playing' on Big Red and finishing in Birdsville for a couple of days. Then it was down the Birdsville Track back to Marree and on to Mildura as mentioned. As the only geocacher in the group I took the opportunity when it presented itself to grab a few caches along the way. I found the caches to be interesting and enjoyable. Many thanks Ben and Benji for placing the cache, allowing me to break up this 4500 km trek.
This cache has been on my radar since it was placed as it was the only cache on the Simpson I hadn't done. I managed to make this find before any other traffic came along, probably not unusual out here. I must have been sun struck as I wrote the wrong month in the log book, so found in July and not June. Thanks for placing this cache.
This was the 24th find of a total of 49 caches found by Boxer and 5 Vietnam veterans club member mates, on a 10 day trip up to Marree, then onto Mt Dare, across the Simpson desert to Birdsville, then back down to Marree, then home to Kadina. A very interesting and at times very challenging trip. Stopping to find caches helped break up the trip and get out and stretch the legs. Thanks for the cache hide.
We were on our trip across The Simpson Desert, in the rain. We tackled the Rig Road from the French line intersection, then Erabena Track, Waa line, and Knolls track. The rain actually made our trip easier, compacting the sand. We hadn't seen anyone since leaving the French Line. Last night, we camped on the Rig Road, with thunderstorms all around us. Rain, lightning, and thunder. The last 2 a little disconcerning when we were the highest bit of metal for hundreds of miles around.
Just before we got to this cache, we heard voices over the UHF, so at least we knew there was someone else out there.
All is good with the cache. Liberated the resident trackable.
Cheers

A beautiful area as we crossed the Simpson W-E
We were following the rig rd and hadn't seen anyone for 2 days
I almost drove into the cache to get the car into the shade - it was 40 degrees C
We left a TB

This might be the middle of nowhere but there is a lot of people on the way to the races.

This is the middle of nowhere here, but is actually very beautiful. The cypress trees were lining the winding road, who would know it was the dessert? more like Tassie in the summer! well, not quite
The cache was a little tricky to find as it was hidden quite well. TFTC!!!

This was a quick, easy find. The sky was clear and a gentle breeze was keeping the flies away. Thanks for placing this cache here!

First to Find
Saw this one get released when in Port Augusta and ready to head across the Simpson to Birdsville and thought I'd have a chance at being the first to find and it appears that I was.
Thanks Ben and Benji
