Sorry all I have disabled this cache. Didn't realise that I'd accidentally blocked emails and logs. I will replace/hunt for it tomorrow.
No joy for us either. Why not temporarily disable it so it doesn't show up to disappoint?
Went searching for ages until a fellow geocacher who had previously found this cache had a look and found out that the cache is gone. Therefore, the cache desperately needs maintenance. No one else go look until it has had maintenance because IT IS MISSING.
Our third cache for the day, and the third one for which we have had to search extensively, but this time we weren't successful.
Spent a long time searching for this, under, over, one side to the other. Was just about to give up when I managed to get it in my grasp! All dry and as should be. Thank you.
Good to find this one on a murky day and so not many people about. Found first geocoin. Thanks. All in good order.
I overthought this one: A quick feel in the right place using accumulated geocaching knowledge and cache was in hand. I left behind a geocoin - its first time in Waikanae.
Often ride the river trails, have never turned off onto this track before. Quick find on a lovely sunny afternoon. TFTC.
Out and about at Waikanae with the reles going for a walk along the walkway and since there are caches along the way we had better go looking for them!
GPSr took us right to the spot where we took a seat and rele junior went in the the look. He quickly had the cache in hand and again checked out the stash while the signing was done.
Cache was in good order just above the flood line - thanks for the placement.

Had a couple of days staying in Paraparaumu and manged to get quite a lot of caching time. Fair bucketing down for a good portion of both days - hence some very very short logs in an attempt to keep the logs as dry as possible! Thanks for the caches, neat area to cache in.
Just me and dog out today - sun and cicadas in good form. Few muggles so easy find. Tftc
Quick find after having to take our shoes and socks off and wade through the water
I went one side and found a trap (so be careful with little ones!!!) chris went the other side and found it put in replacement log
Went to revisit ti educate Wiggy1 and it has been removed. There on Saturday gone today
Easy find this evening after a nice walk along the path from the new Howarth Block playing fields. All the new native plantings look amazing but they really need to get the rabbit population under control before the land is destroyed.
I know the rabbits are destroying the land and all, but can we all just take a moment and realize how adorable they are! The baby ones are to die for

Thanks for the cache. I found it at 12:42 pm on 5/09/14.
Nice spot and great to see all the planting in the area.
My iPhone is showing cache 12m from GZ and it's normally quite accurate. Suggest owner checks location is still correct

The first place checked, luckily the cache was there, so a nice quick find.
Loads of trees/bushes being planted in the area which is nice to see.
Thanks for the cache. On holiday in Waikanae from the UK

Found while on a cycle ride Paekakariki to Waikanae with a group of friends from the tramping club. TFTC
We went on mountainbike ride, with a hidden agenda of tracking down some geocaches...found yours, just on dark. Thanks heaps, and Jack swapped a silly-band for a minnon card.
Found it this time had to wait a while for cyclists to go by first. Lovely walk along the river, started at countdown waikanae and finished at tutere st reserve. Thank you! Picked up travel bug
On the way back from the Otaki Kite Fesival we stopped here and took MycroMan on a ride to the cache. Lovely day and ride. Thanks for the cache.
Nice easy find. Decided to leave a trackable. Came here on our bikes and the river looked really inviting. Tftc.
Didn't do the "dropped off" for the trackable properly. Trying again. Hope I've done it right this time.
We were so enjoying our walk we overshot the cache a quick back track, avoided the trap and found the cache. Tftc
Second attempt as first attempt found too many muggles passing. Found with Kiwi Mico. Quick find as cache a little exposed. SL and replaced with more cover. TFTC.
We avoided the splashing element. We managed the muggles. We got the wrong end of the job first up, and we were puzzled by the difficulty rating once we had nailed the find. But a cracker cache, that's for sure. It did take some looking on the occasion of our visit.
Cache in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
From here on in the day just kept getting better and better!
The Turtle strikes again!

Enjoying a beautiful Kapiti day. Out on the bikes. Often ride this track and wasnt the bridge I had imagined, but that was no problem, Once we found the right bridge Mr Wombatseeker soon located. TFTC
Went to the quarry to find a way to the river side, and given permission to cross their property to the track, but found the way out. Took a while to sort out which side we should concentrate on, and soon found it then. TNLNSL

0720 GAFF2 Wanted to be sure to grab this cache (for the D/T combo) so read up the Hint. Initially we had gone to the wrong side of the river, but soon worked out 'a way', which as MVMB mentioned was through a sand / gravel quarry. While they were happy for us to walk on through as they hadn't started yet we checked out another route back to the car, which worked a treat for a later FTF
Almost got my feet wet, but found the cache first. All good, and coordinates were pretty close, but unable to leave a correct site marker in there.
Brought through for mileage: "Mineral Mountain (CO)" Green Jeep Travel Bug, 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, BEAGLE BIXBY, B 2 B ingot, BROWN BEAR 15, Coin of Danmark, CRDAVIS-Scottish Thistle Geocoin, Fishing Bell TB, GoLeo Travel Bug Dog Tag, Iconic Bridges, land rover TB, Lil' Miss TB, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 2013 GCookie Coin, PAP, Raban, Red Jandal, Rienan TB, Spooky, steben6's DNF Duo - Super Cacher Geocoin, Trakabulldog geocoins, VIRGINia TAG, and trackable shirts.
TFTC Daboyds - a Favourite, as it gives a NZ D/T combo

This one took longer than intended as I over analysed the difficulty rating. Only real difficulty is the number of muggles who pop up from nowhere along the popular walkway. TFTC
Found when out with the Wednesday group from the Manawatu Tramping and Skiing Club. It took a bit of hunting to find this one - Possum looked at the wrong end of the bridge but muggle Lynn found it on the other end. We were most impressed by the growth of the natives since we were last here - a great job is being done by some very passionate people . TFTC.
Nice walkway to approach this one. Let bkj97 do the rummaging while I watched for muggles. T4TCSL
Wasn't sure we would get to this with the deluge earlier in the day. On with the gumboots and carry on. Cache safe and dry. Nothing in the trap.TFTCSL
Oops, forgot to log this when I found it while checking on my own cache in the area. I remember finding it with my son, as it was raining and we got quite wet. I think it was this day we found it.
Hmm we obviously are not very clever! Mind you I don't have a GPS, have to rely on Google. Found the little bridge OK, but even with 7yr old geogranddaughter, we couldn't find it today.
A beautiful day for a bike ride and some geocaching! Took a little while to find this one - there are a few nooks and crannies to look in. TFTC
Tried every other location except the right one. Got a face full of cobweb as I was reaching in. The cache seems to have lost its lid. TFTC
Not an easy find with a broken toe - luckily I had my 6 year old with me and he did the looking and finding. tftc
Find #1331. Found on a cycling trip from Waikanae to Paremata having used the train to get to Waikanae and the strong Nor’west tail wind to get back. Missed this last time I was up here but quickly found and signed. Great wee spot, love this river trail. SL TFTC
Sometimes people are idiots. Cretins. Like yours truly, Seagnoid the wonder dunce. Saw the cache, but was on the wrong side of the stream. No worries, just cross over. Darn near fell in. And look! there's a perfectly good bridge! Duh!
1.45pm. Walked in from lancelot. Took a while before I finally spotted it!
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
We had to wait for a few muggles and their dogs to move on but once they had, master fozzmiester had no problems with the find. TFTC
#3314. Nice walk to GZ. Not much splashing under the bridge today, although there was a slight drizzle from above.

Walked to this from the carpark at the Otaihanga Domain, a very pleasant walk alongside the river. I wasn't sure where there was any quicker access, and when I reached the cache site I saw that there is a new track leading to Lancelot Grove which wasn't on the maps I had on my GPSr. That would have been much quicker if I had been short of time but fortunately I wasn't. The cache was a quick find (although I hope it stays in place!) - signed log, TFTC
2TF. Went With Gazzali As I Usually Do, Tried Our Best To Leave As Quickly As Possible And Get FTF, But Unluckily We Were Beaten By The Best And Am Happy With A Close 2nd. It Was Nice To See Tmann Again And Lovely To Meet TuisReturn and See Her Little MagicMannz. Congrats Guys. Picked Up My First PathTag, Quite Fitting I Think After Crossing Tuis Path For The First Time. Very Nicely Built Bridge In A Very Secluded Location. TFTC Boyds!
FTF!!!!I'm happy that I got this one with tman421 and tuisreturn because this is a joint FTF. TFTC
