Today we decided to cache closer to the city, then west to Walkerston.
We found a good variety of caches in some amazing locations.
Hubby was able to reach this one.

Thought I would pop into town for a ride and hopefully pick up a few caches. Pretty quiet here...only a few muggles out and about. The lock is very interesting. Thank you for pointing it out. SL TFTC

My husband and I are on our way home to Melbourne, after a holiday in Cairns. We stayed at Bowen last night so this was our lunch stop today.
A short walk, to stretch the legs, and find a cache before hopping back into the car.
Thank you for this cache.

Road Trip Day 3: Rockhampton to Mackay. I had a selection of caches that I planned to grab once I made Mackay. This one had lots of favourite points, so made my list. The co-ordinates put me a reasonable distance away, but reading the description put me in the right place. TFTC!
Meeting Rainforest Cookie at the info centre at 9.30 with time to spare. Went for walk to find cache
No luck and ran out of time. will try later today

In Mackay for the AFL on this weekend and trying to pick up some caches to boost the numbers.
Was on the worng side of the fence after coming from another cache so hopped it, and the train track and grabbed it from the second place I looked.
Another great hide.
Another favourite point.

Followed the coordinates too closely and put us off where we originally thought it would be. Great cache though thanks
Damn. Im almost disappointed how quickly i found that.
This is the last of my garden caches i think...unless there is one the far end i haven't seen. It's been a lovely day going to the movies followed by dome caching. I had to do it...was in trouble for not moving superman travel bug on and since i just saw the movie. ..and spoiler alert...he died ...i thought a headless, footless superman bug should at least survive.
The sun is now setting and it's starting to darken along my path so i shall toddle off home.

Found in the last place we looked . #1400 for us. We searched out a cache with some favourite points for our milestone (and this one had the most of all the caches around here) and we were left a bit underwhelmed. Not sure what all the fuss is about. It's not bad, it's just not what we expected. TFTC!
Just off the plane from Melbourne for a couple of days work out west...and I thought I would stop off for a cache or two on my way to my motel. After two DNF's, I thought this one would be too...initially because of a muggle...and then because I was just having trouble finding the cache. Eventually something clicked in my mind and I finally looked in the right place. After signing the log I grabbed the Trackable to take traveling...perhaps back to Melbourne.
Thanks Team PacketStorm for a cleverly hidden cache.

after quick look the cache and having trouble with the green guardians started looking out side the box found it where i didn't expect nice little hide TFTC
Great hide. A quick search and had it in hand. A nice way to start the day before work. Thanks for the hide.
We reached GZ and started looking around for the cache. Then a worker on a tractor mower stopped and asked us if we'd lost something. We gave him a quick run-down of what we were up to and after he left we went back to the search and found the prize. We also checked out the padlock - interesting. A train also went by while we were there. On our return to the car, a local was opening up the South Seas hut for a lunchtime event and offered to show us around the interior and the artifacts inside, a chance that we jumped at. A favourite on this one from us! TFTC & for bringing us here.

GPS had us quite a way away from GZ. Disregarded the GPS, read the clues, considered our options, thought outside the box and bam! that cache was ours for the logging! Loved it, very clever! TFTC.

What a fantastic hide !! My Mum was up visiting from Brisbane so took her out to find a few caches on Sunday afternoon. We found the padlock no problem. While I went to find some clear air to check the co-ords, Mum reached out to the hiding spot and said "Do you think it might be in here?" ..... I'm not sure that I would have looked there myself. Definitely worth a favourite point. T4T$.
T4T$ Team PacketStorm. As soon as I arrived thought check that and didn't but proceeded to check other spots that just resulted in lots of very angry green ants as well as mozzies. I'm seriously not liking caching in Oz. Went back to original thought and voila. Cool cache gets a fav from me. Cool lock too. Lots of fit minded muggles out and about today. Saw a beautiful blue butterfly too
Found at 11.12 hrs. Well there is the fence and the first place I looked it was revealed. Clever hide. Love these caches. Favourite from me.

Our 1st DNF today.
[red]We spent quite some time here at around 11:50:00 AM, but we couldn't locate your cache, so a DNF from us - - - not stating it's not there... just that we couldn't spot it before the mozzies drove us away.

iPhone had me 10 mts away at first. Read a few logs and got it right on the nose. iPhone did finally put me there. TFTC
Awesome hide. It took me around 20 minutes to find this one. If not for the previous logs giving me some ideas I might have given up on it.
Good thing hubby was not there, he used to work for the railways and when they did not have the keys they would pick the lock and apparently he was quite good at it.

Enjoying the stroll and making finds on a beautiful sunny day. Quick find to geoD on this one.
Shayne from Team T-H found it...ingenious hide ! Left behind a Super Ball for those who can remember what that is ! Well done !
I lived in Mackay for 15 and left over 10 years ago, and never visited this part of the City Gates, but now that I am visiting and am geocaching I get to discover new treasures in the place I used to call home! This was one sneaky little hide. We scratched around amongst the leaves and vegetation, under rocks and logs, up in trees while dodging green ants with THREE different devices trying to find the cheeky beggar! TFTH! You are ingenious little hider! HINT: Stop looking for the obvious and look more carefully at the hidden clues.
Such a lovely spot for a walk with the woofa :0P
