Cache is ready to go. Just waiting for new skate park to settle down. There's a lot of kids there at the moment.
I'm sorry but most of your caches are disabled and then just left to be wasted and this one was a complete waste of my time. There is no access behind any temporary fence there and I am quite frustrated as I have experienced a lot of cache issues with the owner.
Please keep everyone in progress with the construction so we don't lose another one of your great caches.
Please keep everyone in progress with the construction so we don't lose another one of your great caches.
Do you think it would have been a better idea as Cache Owner to address the issues with this cache by disabling the cache and making progress notes on the situation so that cachers who travel long distances don't specifically go searching for an unobtainable cache? I don't like wasting my time chasing ghost caches when I'm far from home.
Sifting through caches to find in Sydney tomorrow, I discovered this cache that is in urgent need of attention from its owner or the local community volunteer reviewers.
February 2017 experienced cachers could not find the cache.
May 2017 a needs maintenance request was placed.
September 2017 another cacher placed a throwdown.
October 2017 a cacher said the cache is no more and placed a needs maintenance request.
December 2017 no action has been taken by the CO to review and maintain this cache.
Unfortunately posting a Needs Archived log due to lack of maintenance.

Cache hiding place is currently behind temporary fence due to construction of skate park.
Geocache location fenced off for extended time and area surrounding bulldozed, cache has been removed by construction worker and handed to me.
Bad news here, looks like this cache will be no more and this could be the last log for it.
I arrived at GZ and the entire area is completely fenced up. Inside is a construction site and it has been completely bulldozed and all that remains is dirt, and somehow remains of the wall including the letterbox still!
I was confused and bummed out but not defeated. I called out to one of the construction workers and asked him if he could do me a favour and check if the cache was still there. He found the container and handed it too me through the fence. I have now removed the container from GZ as it is 100% inaccessible and will be for a while coming, plus it couldn't classify as a letterbox any more as the stamp was missing. Apparently they are building a skate park here
Sorry to bear the bad news, have uploaded pics of GZ and the cache itself.
Thanks Bells Angels, maybe it will have to be revived in a new area

It's so good to see this one up and running again. There are so few letterbox caches in Sydney. Thank you Dorisingha and Bells Angels.

We hope it is ok for the owner that we supplied a spare container and logbook for this cache since the original is missing for a long time...
Since the cache is missing, Michael60, Catty0902 and I decided to place a micro film container with a logbook. At 6:05 p.m. we signed it. I hope, this is ok for the owner.
Thanks for the Cache.

Could the CO please check on the cache and replace accordingly? The log appears to have been returned to the Dead Letter Office.

I was so much hoping to go and hunt this cache today - but just read the logs.. sigh. I do hope the CO - Bells Angels- can do the maintenance thingie on this one. There are so few hybrid letterboxes about. Cheers..
No mail at all. Perhaps the mailman needs to come again. I don't usually declare that a cache has been muggled unless I have strong evidence, however, I think there seems to be little doubt in this cache, it appears to be gone.
Parked around the corner and made the short walk over to the ghostly letterboxes. The co-rods were spot on and with a quick flip I soon had the larger than expected cache in hand. Signed the log and re-posted it for the next mailman. The planes sure do fly low around here. Good to see that this cache has lasted this long. The postman brought good news as this is my first Letterbox cache in NSW. TFTC
Yay! Only my 2nd letterbox cache (and the first one wasn't a true "letterbox" cache but more like a traditional). My girlfriend is often reluctant to allow me to go with her places but little does she realize that nearly everywhere in Sydney is uncharted caching territory, so I grabbed this one today whilst her car was worked on. TFTC
Made a beeline for this since I'd collected 5 cache types in Australia and we were going back to Europe the next day. A letterbox would make it 6 types. Else we wouldn't have gone for this one.
Really glad we did. Nice hide, favourite point.

Found this one some time around here, but forgot to log. Nice quick easy find, but the stamp's gone, so technically it isn't a letterbox anymore :'(. The planes overhead are amazing! That's one way to inspect the fuselage! Tftc
#835 was going to the airport to meet a friend but on the way over by train got told that the plane had been rescheduled in Brisbane due to a brake issue. So decided to get off at Sydenham instead of Wolli Creak and walk to the airporr. On the way stopped to collect this cache. Always a good day when you can be in an area where there are caches other than the big 3. Found the cache & then walked away to sign the log, took a while to find a likely spot to sign, and replaced as found thanks for the letterbox Bells Angels.
I really should have read the cache description fully before arriving, the plane flying directly overhead caught me completely by surprise. This a cute little hide in a cute little place that used to be home for people. One can only wonder what this place was like when it was bustling. One can also only wonder what it will look like once it finally gets developed.
Anyway, cache was quickly found, log noted, and stashed back in its hide. Should there have been a stamp in here? I saw no such thing in the cache.

Have being passed CH for many times. Today finally stopped for a quick find with geokid. Cannot find stamp in CH. TFTC
All you get for this is peanutsEasy to park on a weekend. Over the page on the log. TFTC
My sister has just landed from a month's holiday in the USA. While I'm waiting for her to clear customs and immigration I decided to get this cache, my friends had all got last Saturday and I though it looked like the perfect one to get tonight on my way to the airport. I hope the people that owned the properties here got suitably paid out, sad when you lose your home to developments. SL #2606 on streak day #1471 TFTC
Nice one, nice easy find very noisey area.
Not used to such goings on when we come all the way from Western Suburbs.
That may all change really soon.

Out on a night caching trip with Snoopy1976, Contactpete and Spy79. We headed to this one 1st and was a quick and easy find. TFTC
Mail indeed! My first Letterbox cache so was fun fun fun. Soooooooo many muggles made it a tricky grab, but I love a good challenge none-the-less. Tftc

This must be the third letter box cache I have done in this area over the years. A quick find on this one tonight to keep my daily streak going (day `177).

After having done some shopping and having lunch at the nearby Swedish mega shop, we went for this cache. We parked on a side street and crossed the road. Some setup with sound equipment was taking place in the nearby park, possibly for some kind on concert later on. The cache was easily found, and yes, it was a letter box, but not the kind of letter box cache that you would expect.
My first Letterbox Cache!
In one way I had expected something completely different and on the other hand it was exactly what I expected.
Parking was tricky and hard to find (I had to walk from a few streets away), but the cache simple and quick to find.
There's lots of police tape around here. Wonder what's happened? Maybe something isn't so safe after the big wet on the weekend.

My very first letter box cache! I didn't know what to expect with this type when I read micro. When I realised I was on the wrong side of the road, I looked across at the obvious place for the cache to be.
Grabbed a bigger than expected sized container, and signed in the rain on this miserable wet and windy day. A good urban hide.
Only crazy cachers go out today in this weather and I know I'm one of them now! TFTC. TNLNSL! #607

Nice easy find on an ANZAC Day afternoon. My first mailbox find. Great fun. TFTC
Heading into the airport on pickup duties this morning the city streets were awfully quiet, with others enjoying a public holiday sleep in, or otherwise occupied at dawn services, so I decided to seize the opportunity for some easy muggle free grabs.
Directing my attention to this favoured letterbox cache I turned off the main road and easily found a park. Unhindered by any passing muggles I wandered to GZ where the cache was quickly found in the fitting location - although I did scratch my head how that location fit the hint.
Signed, sealed and replaced - thanks for the cache

Found with Coybear2000 after dropping people off at the airport. Nice and easy. TFTC
Out at the airport with Trodectus, so a slight detour for a find. Parked at GZ and sonn had CIH. Log signed and replaced. TFTC
Couldn't resist this one on the way home. I have a strange sense of deja-vu about this find, though. Perhaps I found a previous version of it? I'll have to look through my old logs. TFTC!
I moved mountains (in a figurative sense) to make sure I could attend this year's 'GEOTREK Meet'n'Greet - 2016', after having stacks of fun at the last one in 2014. I had to be in Marrickville / Earlwood in the afternoon for my footy pre-season match and was flying out the next morning to the United States. It was going to be tight and, unfortunately, a good chance we would not make it to the end of the GEOTREK course. Morry9 came over to mine and we headed over to Epping Station to collect AlphaDeltaIndigo on the way. We met up with Calypso62's lil' helper, Skyebomonkeytown in Galston Park at the start of the course, and stayed for a brief chat with a small group hanging around the sheds, including The Hancock Clan, Seemyshell and Ali600. We could not stay for long and had to get our skates... we worked through the first section of the GEOTREK course and found a few caches along the way.
The first geocache pitstop was at 'Road Block' at Galston. I had solved this Mystery Cache when it was first published but knew I would be beaten to the First To Find, so left it until now. The next cache was 'The Rock Star' at Hornsby. The Multicache was a good opportunity for a short lunch break in the Edgeworth David Garden.
We continued on the course a little while longer but had to concede and retire towards Marrickville for my footy match. Thankfully, traffic was not as bad as predicted and we had time to pick up a few on the way, including 'Lewisham Landmarks #1', 'Fraser Park Canteen' in Marrickville and the 'You've Got Mail' Letterbox / Hybrid Cache in Sydenham. I dropped AlphaDeltaIndigo off at Tempe Station and morry9 accompanied me to the footy match, which ended up being a real solid hitout.
Thanks to Calypso62 for another enjoyable GEOTREK - a highly recommended event, hopefully it's on again next year! Also, thank you to the respective Cache Owners for their hides. For all of the cache finds today, Signed Log, Took Nothing Left Nothing.

Pretty sure we have done caches in this spot previously, so we did as we were told and parked around the back. An easy find, was sitting on the front porch signing the log when a full coach pulled up in front of me....
We liked the old, original location of the cache. Worth 1 FP!
Team Omam from the Netherlands has only one aunt left. And as she will have her 100th birthday early February, we decided to join the birthday party. But …., she lives in Sydney Australia! An excellent opportunity for us to explore this continent once again and find Geocaches along the way. We will do a 3.5 weeks trip! At places where we will stay for a few days (Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Darwin), we will organize Meet and Greet events. We will try to find mainly caches with high favorite points, caches from 2000 and 2001, earth caches, webcam caches, virtuals and letter box hybrids.

Captain Terror and I were in Sydney for a conference so we extended our trip for a few days so we could grab some geocaches. This wasn’t the first time I had been to Sydney but it was a first for Captain Terror. We made a list of geocaches that we wanted to find which were mainly rare icons and those geocaches in spots that we wanted to visit. We landed in Sydney this morning and after checking into the hotel caught the train to Circular Quay to start our geocaching adventure. We found a Multicache, Earthcache, Unknown, Virtual, Traditional, Webcam, Wherigo and this Letterbox Hybrid today. It was a big day and it was now very dark as we headed to this one.
We made our way from the train station towards this cache. We didn't feel too comfortable walking down this dark road tonight.. however I think that is something to do with it being a different city than our tiny Brisbane. We were soon at GZ and it was a quick find. We tried to take some photos but it was very dark so we headed back up to the train station and back to the hotel. Thanks for the cache Bells Angels.

Net88 and I were in Sydney for a conference, but why not have a few extra days to see the city, ride some ferries and find a few geocaches. It was the first time I've ever been this far south, so it was a new experience for me and indeed, the only big city besides Brisbane I've ever been to. Our geocache targets were carefully picked, mostly rare types and a few old hides. Today is our first day and we wound up finding eight types - Multicache, Earthcache, Unknown, Virtual, Traditional, Webcam, Wherigo and Letterbox Hybrid. Not bad for two Queenslanders with only an opal card and two feet each. Once the plane had landed, the train caught to the motel and we'd checked in, it was time to grab the GPSr and head out.
We had spent plenty of time around Circular Quay, visited Fort Denison and been up to manly for the evening including dinner. Now we just had to grab our eighth type before going back into town for some sleep. The only issue is there was only a single letterbox hybrid within cooee that we could use. All the way south, back near the airport and in the suburbs. However, there is Sydenham train station nearby. Well, then we've got to do it!
Once we got off the train, we followed a couple of lads going the same direction. I have certainly felt more comfortable than our walk well after dark down Railway Rd, but I am sure there was no need to worry. Afterall, there were still a few people around. We'd arrived at the co-ordinates and made a quick find. Nothing too spectacular or tricky with this letterbox, but we got the job done and it ticked off the icon for us. Now just the walk back to the train. Oh, we have done so much walking today and that motel bed is going to be amazing!
And also, this is now my farthest find south. Before today my most southerly was about 300 kilometres south of my home co-ordinates. Today, with the help of an Airbus my most southern find is this one, over 400 kilometres from home. I wonder then, how much longer until I get more south. Thanks for this geocache, Bells Angels

Unfortunately I drew the short straw with work rosters this year, being rostered on for an early morning shift at the airport today (Boxing day). But I decided to turn it to my advantage by doing a bit of caching on the way home, to extend our "mini" streak, fill yet another calendar gap, and to generally add to our cache "found" tally. This was the 5th find of the afternoon.
After finding "The Swedish Emporium" I moved on to this one. Parked the geomobile in Henry Street and strolled over to GZ for a super quick find. Well where else would a "Letterbox" cache be hidden? I was really pleased to find this one as it is our very first Letterbox cache find. Signed the log, err letter, and dropped off a Trackable to continue it's journey.
Thanks Bells Angels for giving us our first Letterbox cache. I also really liked the row of old brick fence lines at GZ. A most unusual and surreal sight. And with all of that I must give the cache a Favourite point.

Great cache. So much traffic to try and be stealthy around, but we were patient and grabbed the cache when the lights changed. Tftc.
How does this survive. Not that many Letterbox Caches around the Sydney area and we need a couple to bump our ratings up a level. Parking is an issue but to find a cache you will park anywhere. Easy find and thanks Bells Angels for bringing the Team here.
Good hide, we enjoyed finding this one (:

Found @ 7:01pm on a road trip to Sydney to run my 10th City2Surf - I was staying at The Southern Cross Hotel and was having a look around the area to see where I would leave my car the next day as I was using public transport to get to the start.
This was my last find for the day and a very cool one it was too. I like how you've made good use of the surrounds, a favourite from me!
Thanks again Bells Angels!

This has been on my todo list since I started caching and I happened to be in the neighbourhood so today was the day. Parked safely and walked over to the GZ and had the CIH quickly. It was nice to learn more about the area once I'd found the cache rather than in the description, it made me stop and ponder a while about all those that had to move. I've lived under a flight path and you can get used to it, shame these folks didn't have a choice.
First one of these, no wonder most of the houses sold up, it's very noisy!!! TFTC

I came down this way today to drop my coffee maker in for repairs. Of course I had a look to see if there were any nearby caches. I didn't have a lot of time to spare, so I decided a letterbox would be my best choice. A clever placement for this one, I enjoyed it.
A friend of mine lived in one of the houses that used to be here, I remember how angry he was at having to move from his home of many years.
Thanks

Clever location and not too hard to conceal activity from passing motorists (whilst they were passing, at least - I suspended search activity whilst they were stationary).
On the way to see grandma for Mother's Day. Saw an unusual coloured flag on the map nearby. Our first Letterbox cache. Nice to learn some history of the surroundings as well. A few people here taking photos of the planes taking off so now it makes sense. Cheers
Found this letter cache when I was on the way to the AMAZING grandmas retirement home to celebrate Mothers Day. This cache was a easy find but still very excited when the cache was in my grubby hands.
Collected the mail (glad it wasn't a bill or a traffic fine!). TFTC Bells Angels

In an attempt to find as many different Types of caches in a day while in Sydney I thought I would try for this one after the Sydney Park CITO Event. The traffic wasn't going to let me park at the suggested place, so I parked near the abandoned 'church'. Soon found x 4 different Type - BARGAIN. @ 1210 GAFF1
Thought I had plenty of time to get to Wollongong, not realising that there had been an accident near the Royal National Park turnoff, but I did make it.

Parked as suggested, and had to wait for the rain to ease off and the traffic to thin out.
Great use of existing camo, and a favourite point from us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Bells Angels, for us and others to find.

Hi there! This was actually the first cache I'd ever found years ago-before my phone had GPS. My friend & I found it with the hints. It was good to come back again & actually sign it now that I know what I'm doing. Thanks for the cache!
