Could it be this one is missing due to the construction? Perhaps someone should check on it or temporarily disable it. Cheers.
Today we visit Cairns, doing this we also visit several caches.
Lot's of Nano's and some of them we didn't found.
This one we did manage.

Our second DNF for this cache. We thought that we were on the money today with the help from the owner, but alas no luck again today even though we had the area to ourselves other then another set of cachers. Great to meet you shimmerport. Maybe next time.
Couldn't locate, but did meet our first ever fellow cachers who had more info but alas it could not be found!
It took me a while to find it in the dark because I looked in the wrong place at first. Terrain should be 2 for little people like me. Lucky for me as my husband helped me.
Thanks Lab0879 for the cache

Found on a short break from the Event cache nearby. Thanks to the local constabulary who unknowingly helped clear the muggles from the cache site, that allowed us all to make a quick dash and find.

found this thanks to the brave boys in blue clearing the area of muggles first .....TFTC
Had our own little mini event away from the event to pick up this one. Me and Blakeyboy65 were originally going to pass on logging this one but the local cachers told us this would be the only time we'd get this much luck to find it so we took the advice and logged it.
Great cheeky little cache. Thank you.
Great cheeky little cache. Thank you.
In a previous lifetime in Cairns I inhabited the office across the street looking down on this spot. That was 22 years later and the location provides the same levels of entertainment. That's to our QPS friends the location was cleared making the "group" cache find so much easier.
You definitely need to increase the level of difficulty. When the "locals" have been drinking and are full of piss n vinegar, it makes the challenge all the more difficult. Had to roll one old bloke over to check if he was still breathing... He muttered something in creole which was probably not repeatable in polite company.
Found while in Cairns, on our travels around Australia.
A few muggles in the area, but while glancing around, the cache was spotted.
With a bit of timing the cache was signed.
Thanks for the challenge Lab0879.

3rd attempt. To many muggles.
Flakey satellite reception to get gz.
Hate to give up but .... gotta move on.

Tried to find it on 7/7//13 and thought maybe a loose string was where it was. But after reading more recent logs I guess we were wrong in our thinking.
We looked high and low but alas did not find this little well hidden cache container
After a few days of nearly be in the right place a quick clue had on top of the GC! Thanks for the hint! All is good with the cache!! Log is a bit tight though! Struggles a bit to get it out! TFTC!!
In Cairns for a few months visiting family and escaping the winter in Adelaide. . Looked all over and nothing.
Decided to give this one a miss, given the latest logs and the fact that this place seems to be a favourite hangout for intoxicated indigenous people.
Have seen this many times but the locals were always hanging around
Went today and the cache is gone

Superphone had me all over the place here. The title led me to what I think was the GZ, but with the coords taking one way, I really couldn't spend the time needed, especially with the muggles growing
This deserves much more than one and a half stars. Two attempts but no luck. With the continual muggle presence it needs a strong clue or you might get arrested. I wasn't hanging around this seedy location any longer. Assume it's in the phone booths somewhere but not obvious to me.
Found it No. 8160 ... found it earlier, had to wait to the right time to get it and sign it ... TNLN ... TFTC Lab0879

I saw it within seconds of walking towards GZ, but it took about 4 return trips to actually log it when there were not people sitting/sleeping in the way...Nice easy find.
Went to GZ but didn't even get a chance to have a search as muggles were everywhere.
Might return if we get time on Friday.

Arrived at GZ and wow the possibilities of cache location is endless. After searching the obvious structure we then widened our search and Bear came up with the goods. TFTC
What a Muggle infested area! I tried to look for this Cache on my first caching trip around Cairns, but there were too many indigenous Muggles close-by, so I didn't dare to search too thoroughly. I walked past the area repeatedly over the next couple of days, but the scene was always the same, until this Sunday shortly before Lunch, when I found the place oddly deserted. Not wanting to look a gift horse in its mouth , I quickly began scouting the area and after a short while I spotted the Cache. Retrieving, logging and replacing it was then a piece of cake

Found 11:11, cache 1/9 of the day and 95 overall.

2nd visit was successfull. Very funny listening to a "Jesus loves you all" preacher woman on the mall and an indigenous gentleman who had a different opinion on religion TFTC!
I know where i find it but yesterday there were to many muggles so i got it in the morning.

Visiting Cairns on SS Volendam. As we have been here before we spent time ashore grabbing a few caches. Time limited so gave up on this and moved on.
Co-ords a bit out for us, so I went for a walk amongst the indiginous population that were hanging out there, and spotted our prey by eye. A little exercising and stretching enabled the cache to be retrieved, and a similar back-stretching exercise saw it replaced. SL, TFTC! VK2GOM (Rob) and WIFE! (Jess) on our unsuccessful eclipse chase from Sydney.
Our tour of Australia is almost over, but since we have been staying at the Hides Hotel, it would be embarrassing to leave Cairns without logging this cache first.
We found the cache after a whort search with assistance from a muggler couple. But don't worry; they are going back to Denmark with us, so the cache is safe

We finally found this nano on our FOURTH try. Spotted something interesting the day before, went to verify it today but that wasn't it. After walking around the city and having Thai for lunch, we came back for a last try and finally got the hint. What a relief!
This was tricky. It took us four tries to find this, though first ones weren't too serious, because of the teleconferencing muggles. Day before we spotted something interesting and today the place was quiet enough for searching. We almost gave up, but last place checked was success...
Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Bloody Nanos! Spawn of satan. Burn down the Nano factory, and exterminate anyone who sells Nanos.

Many nano-caches int this country. They are usually hard to find but this one was easy discovered with a good hint. Thank you for this geocache and a walk in Cairns!

While on a short wander on our way to get some dinner we stopped to hunt for this cache. Not many locals in the immediate area so when we spotted it's location we did a quick scan around for muggles and made the grab. Replaced it much the same way. Nice little hide Lab0879. Thanks for placing a cache here. It was in good condition.
Despite it being a busy Saturday with lots of people out shopping, the area around the phones was fairly quiet, so not too hard to do a quick stealthy search by eye, spotting it and making a grab. My pen didn't write too well on the log, so there is a faint TNZ only.
Got to GZ early but the locals seem to hang out there so left it and headed for another and on the way we met a lady parking attendant and she spoke to us and took one look at our hats and said your geocachers and then went on to say she is about to join she has the website up ready to go, so Cairns is going to get another cacher in their area. We had a lovely chat before moving on. We did come back to this one later in the day and there were a lot more locals there so just gave up.

Attempted to do this one however the area seems to be occupied by the 'locals'. Looks like they've set up camp so we weren't going to wait around.
At first there was a GECKO guarding the cache! Had to wait a few mins for him to pass by so we could retrieve cache. No pen so no log, sadly..
Nothing for vertically challenged cachers. Leg-up was needed.

Greetings from Oregon! Made a quick find on this. Lots of muggles....but a good place to stretch, to get out the kinks from all the walking. T4T
Whoa! There sure are a lot of birds aloft. It was noisy... perhaps good coverage for my hunt. Found pretty quick once I realised it was NOT on the phones. TFTC!
14:25 - Sitting in the 'right' spot could help. was lucky to pick this swiftly. Very busy location. T4TC.
Had an early dinner in the city and thought we would take a stroll past this GZ. The area is well known to us, but it is usually well occupied during the day.
While the mall area was very busy, the GZ area was deserted.
After a quick look around the cache was spotted.
Log signed and all was returned for the next finder.
Our advice would be to visit this site in the evenings.
Thanks Lab for this new cache.

Stood back and had a look around as there were muggles galore. I spied the goal but had to wait a while for an opportunity to grab the cache. Achieved easily if your timing is right. Signed the log but took nothing and left nothing, TFTC

Where are the local FTF-Hunters? This morning, on our way to the conference, the GZ was occupied by a crowd of "extremely busy" men, i.e., no chance for a systematic search. By contrast, in the evening the last two members of this crowd just prepared to leave the scene. Thus we could have a closer look, and suddenly the tiny cache could be detected from the opposite side of the "Phone home". It was a real surprise that still a FTF was achieved, our second one in the southern hemisphere. TFTC!
