I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, jennydoug, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

TFTC,
This is our COVID-19 2021 Tasmania adventure. ONLY because we are allowed and we were lucky enough to be able to book flights that fitted with other activities.
We have a couple of days around Launceston and today our target was caches around George Town. 7 finds and 2 DNF's.
I was very concerned at not seeing this where my GPS placed me. Spread my search area and soon saw the container.
So happy.

Thanks for the multicache jennydoug.
Spending the weekend in Low Head with RLD4963. After a slightly delayed start today (due to hot water issues at our accommodation) we headed out for a day of cacheing.
This one was within walking distance of our accommodation, so I started out on foot to stretch my legs, with RLD4963 catching up with me in the geomobile at GZ. We actually collected all the information for this one on our previous trip to George Town/Low Head a couple of years ago. We must have just run out of time to actually look for the cache, so we were kenn to find this one today. It took a couple of minutes to find this one, but the nice hide was then spotted. Cache is in good order. Thanks for adding to the caches in this area.

out and about caching with 1 Lil Rafa in the Low Head Georgetown area the final GC cache in Low Head for me. a good hide and find, TFTC TNLN log dry. the only time we have used our coats is near the lighthouse today, down near Georgetown and other places it was fine.

07-Jun-20
A great find at sunrise! Unfortunately it was bitterly cold & quite windy. This quickly cleared while we located a couple of other caches in the area and turned into a beautiful winters day!
Locating this container took us a while, such a clever hide. Thanks for the cache!

T-Tech and I are down from Brisbane for a meandering holiday around Tasmania. We flew to Melbourne where we picked up the campervan and spent a day caching there, then took Spirit of Tasmania I to Devonport. Tick that one off the bucket list!

Today we are travelling from Kelso to Low Head via Beauty Point and Launceston. We were here late in the afternoon, and it was a glorious spot [^] We had no trouble getting the first bit done, then sidetracked to grab the nearby Traditional, before making our way to GZ. Here we searched for ages, looking all over the place, before I finally made the find. Very sneaky indeed! TFTC, jennydoug.

Down from Brisbane on hols with IolantheK.
Another one of many on our travels through Tassie [^]
Took a walk out to the lighthouse before it got dark.
Very tricky hide, but IolantheK's keen eyes spied the prize.
Free camped near here...shhh [^]
Cache is dry and in good condition [^]

Last 3 caches for low head. Unfortunately I couldn't find this cache with a confusing hint. I checked the co-ordinates and they were fine. So it's cache blindness striking me again. TFTC!

21-Jan-20
After being woken early than I desired by the fog next door it was time to wander up to Low Head and explore some history and look for some caches. Weather was overcast but warm enough - I suspect we will get rain fairly soon. All caches were generally quickly found and was a very enjoyable stroll around this surprisingly beautiful area - all 7 found in about 90 minutes.
Great cache - collected the info quickly and GZ was a good looking spot. Headed down and got Leghorn before wandering back to collect this one. Reading logs was expecting a hunt but the hint had me thinking along a certain path which was correct (there a couple of cachers in Albury including myself that use a similar tactic) and so a thorough search of all structures had the little fellow in hand in about 5 metres (for once I ignored the GPS). Log signed and returned as found - glad a quiet morning though.
Would love to hear the foghorn blast

Tassie Trip Day 212 - It was decided to do a few caches today on the GeoCycle and this was a great area to take that bike of the rack and put it back on the road to go for a short ride out to the end of the point and back collecting what was along the way.

After going for a search and not finding this cache it was realised that the calculation were wrong so another attempt was made and it was unsucessful so it was a DNF for our team today.

Thanks for the history jennydoug.

Today was spent pottering around the Tamar valley, visiting some interesting little places and grabbing a few targeted caches along the way. The weather was fantastic after quite a bit of rain overnight. I’m glad I wasn’t in the swag!

This morning I went up to Low Head for a look at the lighthouse and the pilot station. This was a nice straightforward multi, although it took a little to find the nicely hidden container.

Thanks jennydoug for the cache.

I had no chance of finding it at dusk last night (did see heaps of penguin s though!) , and today took me a good 20 mins of searching before I discovered it. Very sneaky, but clever hide!

On our tour around Tassie we made here a quick stop.
After a while looking we can find the cache. A beautiful area and we like it to walk around.
Today we had luck it is Sunday and the horn roared.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Tricky little cache, took me a while to find. After a PAF was used I found the cache

Today I made a late decision that I would head to g-town to collect some caches, a bit of a hit and miss here, I found some harder D/T combos but the easier ones seemed to be not there.

I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

In Tassie with family doing a short trip around this lovely island. We saw some amazing scenery, wildlife and visited some beautiful places while touring around in our motorhome. I took the opportunity to stop and grab any caches when we could stop. We only had a few DNF's and made some good discoveries and clever hides during the trip. We had some fun and laughs along the way.

Out grabbing a few caches while hubby spent a few hours at the museum. We enjoyed the views from the lighthouse and then grabbed what was needed to make this discovery. It took a bit of a search but then it was eventually spotted, not where we had been concentrating our search.

Thanks jennydoug for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Luckily I’d worked the new coords out over a pot of tea at the pilots station as when we got here we’d 18 minutes to get in and out again before the gates were locked at 5pm!
I can’t say that this was a quick find, but it was found and we were out with 1 minute to spare Smile Sadly I didn’t have time to look for the other caches up here.

Thanks for a simple little multi in a great location, have a favourite.

Last day in Tassie on this short four day trip. Heading from Bridport to Devonport via George Town and a few obscure off the beaten track locations to pick up some specific geocaches. Jumping the ferry back tonight and straight to work in the morning, yuck.
Nice multi although it took us a while to find the prize, looked all over the place and finally spied a tell tale sign.
**Thanks for placing this cache jennydoug**

Day fourteen of our holiday in Tassie. Bettyboo3747 and I are staying at Low Head.
Time to get the deadly treadlies out, and short ride to the lighthouse before breakfast (and five caches)
A ride south collecting caches along the foreshore, then after lunch, some caches around George Town while the washing was on.

Fortunately, as we are staying down the road, the mighty roar only happens on a Sunday.
We did stick our head in the window and have a look at the machinery though - the size of those air receivers!
We collected our information and headed back to where we came in.
Luckily, there is no one around at this hour, because we took a while locating the cache.
Thanks for the lighthouse cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14411. Day 14 of our 3 week holiday in Tasmania. Robmc and I are still staying at Low Head so with dry weather forecast for a while we headed out on the bicycles to pick up a few caches around the area before going in to George Town for another caching run this afternoon (whilst our clothes were happy at the laudrette for an hour or so).

So sad that we leave here on Sunday morning as we will miss the Mighty Roar. Unbelievable. We rode to the lighthouse and information boards and gathered some new numbers and off we went to GZ. Bicycle travel is so civilised. Actually finding the cache was another matter entirely. Took us a good while before I spied something and bingo there was the cache. Sneaky hide, good one!

Thanks jennydoug

We collected the required information and calculated GZ - not too far away. So all looking fairly straightforward and easy. But at GZ nothing obvious. The search was a little unpleasant in the windy conditions. We searched in quite a few places before finally spotting something a little out of place. It was the cache. No muggles around and we could retrieve the cache and sign the log. Nicely hidden - a tricky challenge. TFTC

05-Mar-18
We came here on Sunday at midday to hear the roar and it was well worth the visit.
Thought we might have trouble finding the cache but we just happened to stand in the right place and look the right way and hey presto there was the cache.
Thanks jennydoug

I turned up here expecting an AFL tribute cache Red Face
Up there Kazaly,
In there and fight ...
... etc.

But the roar is only available once a week !! Razz
I missed it by that much !! Smile
Only a day !!

So after a wander up to the piece of red 'n' white Blackpool Rock.
I found the answers I needed to find the cache Smile
A short stroll later and a bit of head scratchin' later,
a cache was spied Smile

No wonder I'm going bald [^]

Yet another tricky to find cache,
but so obvious after you spy it [^]
Thanks for the clue Big Grin

Hi there jennydoug.

We found your cache **"Hear the Mighty Roar"** at 10:58:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18644).

We are currently staying at East Beach Caravan Park. The family has gone back to Launceston (& work) so we can concentrate on geocaching between relaxing - or is it relaxing between geocaches?

Today was a great opportunity to take another look at this cache. We waited until the car park was empty before starting our search - but still got surprised by some muggles who appeared out of nowhere. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey today & had an absolutely wonderful drive. Our count for the day was 5 finds (& 0 DNF's).

Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.

**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

I will occasionally mention the Caching God when logging a find and again she had a hand drawing me to this one. I happened to arrive at WP1 at 11:56 on the last Sunday of the year. So yes you are correct as I stood and calculated GZ the foghorn went off and off and off. It was quite an experience. But alas that is where she left me. So after quickly calculating what I needed I headed to GZ. Yes muggles came and went but I’m not sure that’s what slowed me down. Getting frustrated I eventually located the little blighter at 12:52 (yes it took me that long). With relief I signed the log. This one gets a favourite point from me. Those that frustrate that I can conquer always do. TFTC

Hi there jennydoug.

This is the 2nd of 4 caches we didn't find today. Twisted[:(!]

We spent quite some time here at around 10:23:00 AM, but we just couldn't locate your cache (mainly because muggles kept interrupting our search) - so here's a DNF from us. Twisted

Sorry Ian and Penny, but this one is very sneaky. It is definitely there, and just a small hint.... It's nothing to do with the little building! Cheers, Jenny

26-Dec-17
It was a busy Boxing Day afternoon near the Low Head lighthouse, with wall-to-wall tourists. Nevertheless we collected the required information and headed to GZ.After a couple of fruitless minutes searching the shout went up that a penguin had been spotted about 5m away. Way to ruin a good search!!
So we left the many penguin admirers to it and returned later in the day when penguin-mania had subsided, and began a second search. Eventually Mrs D's eagle eyes picked up something unusual and she came up with the find of the day. I still don't know how she spotted it. Thanks jennydoug for a very devious hide. A favourite point from us.

Sneaky....cheers from QLD

05-Apr-17
Information was quickly retrieved and the counting posed no problems either. BUT... finding the little bugger was a completely different story. Even if I had found some of these hides before, I did not know what I was looking for before I actually found it... and I should have read the hint, that would have saved some time too. But in the end I succeeded and could finally sign the logbook. Phew!
Thanks a lot for the hide, jennydoug!

Just loved this multi. The weather was perfect for poking around and giving the camera a work out. This area is fascinating. I did the cache at the point and then collected the clues. As a side note, I was there around 5pm - just leaving the car park at 4:55. There was a security woman there about to lock up (or so it seemed).

Thanks to jennydoug and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!

This very well hidden cache gave us a bit of a search, but very few Muggles around allowed us to search in peace. Signed and returned. Fav point given for both location and cleverness TFTC Smile This is a lovely area and we're enjoying our second day's caching here.
We've now got less than three weeks left of our six month stay from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney we've been touring in the caravan and also visiting with our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley Smile
We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and I for one don't want to go home!

Had to keep stopping our search for muggles. Seems this is a popular spot. It took quite some time but finally came up trumps. Thanks jennydoug.

03-Nov-15
Tricky! We parked at the suggested coordinates and strolled around to the lighthouse, read all the info, went in search of the traditional without luck then back to see if we could man the final of this one. Searched to no avail, waited for muggles to go - and waited and waited and waited; we think they were memorizing everything! Almost at the point of admitting defeat, I'd widened my search area a bit and finally spotted it!! So happy! Smacking views from here, interesting history and a tricky hide. Perfect Big Grin. TFTC, jennydoug. =^.^=

A day exploring Low Head. What a fascinating place. Lighthouse, pilot station, green rolling hills, sheep! What more can a grey nomad cacher ask for....even it if is an unexpected puzzle. Worked out the numbers. Walked to GZ and guess what we found! A FAIRY PENGUIN! Then we found the very clever cache. Thanks jennydoug.

Travelling around Australia and now in Tasmania!

Today we did some sightseeing around Low Head, oh and found a few caches too. Razz

Beautiful clear sunny day, although the breeze was a bit chilly at times.

No roar today, but they do have a link to hear it on your smart phone so we tried that. Dont think its the same as the
live deal.

Took a few mins to spot the cache, think we were over thinking it. [^]

Hmmm, we got the co-ords and went to search WP2 but search as much as we could we could not find it. Muggles everywhere we will come back with some Geomonkeys, (grandkids). At a later stage they have younger eyes.
