### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###
----------
G'day there Jimmymaff,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The cache has been [temporarily disabled](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, Post an [Owner Maintenance log](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating what you have done and that the cache is back as it should be. Then [ENABLE your cache](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) and sit back and wait for the logs of thanks and delight to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately) , so without a note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area has been flooded, the cache is in a remote/difficult to access location, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
All you need do is to [post a Write Note log](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=234) to the page (within 14 days). **Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.** When a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine, for a little bit longer.
**If you have a long term unavailability (where you don't have an actual date), please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [Adopt your cache](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54). [^] Alternatively, you need to [Archive the cache](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned. [xx(] It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then.
Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Bunjil

Pretty easy but nice cache Log is full though and can't fit another log sheet in it with that log sheet so....
A very worth while detour off the main road to Buchan. An Avenue Of Honour to pay respect to the local people that have served our country that must be seen. Thank you so much Jimmymaff for placing this cache and bringing us to this amazing little place. We signed the log and visitors book and strolled this fascinating place.
Stopped in for a quick drive by after a weekend building a set of stock yards fo a fire victim,2 years ago.

Day 3 of the Bring In The New Year (BITNY) road-trip. Today we packed up camp at Woods Point and headed back west towards Bairnsdale via Nowa Nowa and Lakes Entrance to name a few. Today I will hopefully travel through my last UBD map and tick off another LGA on my list.
This was a target cache as it is the final UBD map to complete. Wow what a journey it has been. A lovely spot and a nice hide for this one.
Thanks Jimmymaff for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Another day of great weather, zooming around Gippy picking off caches. This was a beautiful location, easy to get to & worth spending some time respecting those who fell before us. TFTC
What an awesome spot for a geocache and i loved the positioning of the micro. Thanks brings us here
What a beautiful Avenue! My hat goes off to all the volunteers that put in the hard yards to make the Avenue what it is today. Lest we forget. Cigc. Tftc
Heading from the Caves to Paradise Beach we detoured this way to make the find. The school looks like one of the ones from Sovereign Hill. tftc
After heading up for a cave tour we detoured to Buchan South on our way back to camp. The Avenue of Honour is a credit to those who maintain it. It’s so pretty and serene. A fp for bringing me to this amazing place. Tftc
This is the first time I had been through the area since the bushfires and some areas where obviously hit by I thought the fire had been more widespread through this area. Took a couple of minutes to find. Tftc
TFTC. A lovely memorial after another wet cool "summer" day. The log is full- I scrawled my initials and date in a gap, but it needs a new one. Cheers GnB
After a few nights away at Lakes Entrance, we headed home via the stunning Buchan Caves. The cache was a special place to remember, reflect and to find cache #500. Thanks for bringing me here.
On a Covid escape to have look at the recovery of the East Gippsland bushfires and found this memorial park. Lovely spot. TFTC

War is a waste, sometimes necessary, sometimes not but such a beautiful place. Thanks for bringing us here.

As it was still raining when we arrived at the gateway to the old school, so I was very pleased to realise that GZ was actually much closer to the gate. I was surprised I found it despite it being very trickily hidden. It was interesting reading the information in the nearby shelter where I retreated to to sign the log in the dry.
In the area helping out with the fire recovery efforts and stopped to have a look at this wonderful memorial. Signed the log and had a look around at some of the history available. TFTC
Probably the last find for the day, nice spot to finish with a smiley.

Find 3 of 11 for today. Map 22 of the UBD Victorian challenge ticked off. Bunadoorian found this cache and I loved looking around this lovely memorial. TFTC Jimmymaff and for bringing us here. we have travelled on roads we didn't know existed until today. Love the countryside around here.
Stopped here on a tour of local points of interest - seeing the fire helicopter land and takeoff just next to the swing bridge was the highlight, but this well maintained memorial was well worth the drive. Always humbling to see the numbers who left these communities to fight. Thanks jimmymaff
One of the nicest Avenues of Honour that we have seen in our five years of traveling around Australia. Great info about the history of the school and memorial.

We stopped off in Buchan earlier for a lunch break and as there didn't appear to be any non-earth caches easily accessible around town we headed to this one as it was only a slight diversion from our intended route. The hint helped as did having prior experience with finding a couple of CO "Jimmymaff" sneaky little midget caches before! I left to Mrs B to scribble away on the teensy log paper while I wandered around the interesting memorial.
Thanks to "Jimmymaff" for putting the cache here otherwise I doubt we would have ever come here!

looked and looked. But going to the well cared for site was good anyway .Must be very very tiny if it is bb we looked in.
Overlooked it the first time, must be tired after the drive from Jindabyne. Walking down the Avenue of Honour was a moving tribute to the brave men who served their country. TFTC Jimmymaff
A bit late in logging this, but better late than never.
Dropped in to find this cache after a delicious lunch at the Buchan Pub. Signed the tiny log and returned to the box. A beautiful little memorial spot. TFTC

Rainy day drive. Fun cache. Just had to dodge the sheep that were on the loose. GPS was very scattered. Clue was helpful.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you Jimmymafffor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Found during another road trip collecting various caches for the UBD map challenge.
Well... after giving this a miss yesterday due to threatening nearby bushfires, today the flames had settled enough to come up and grab the last of the UBD maps. Woohoo!! Keeping one eye on the Vic fires app, finally I have finished the challenge. Hope the winds die down and not flare up the fires again.
Thanks for placing this cache here for us to find. Cheers

#898 On our way to Buchan we detoured via South Buchan to find this cache. What a surprise to find this well designed and maintained memorial. Recorded our visit in the Visitor's Book, recovered the nano and unwound the very tiny log only to find there is no space left for new logs. When I'm back home, I'll post a photo or two to show we were here. Thanks for bringing us here Jimmymaff.
I brought Jess along to look for her first cache. She soon found it, thanks to the hint.
We also signed the Visitor's Book and enjoyed a pleasant stroll along the Avenue to Honour those who fought for our freedom.
Lest We Forget.

After spending the morning at the Buchan Caves reserve, we could not resist a few detours and stops on the way back to Bairnsdale. This has to be one of the most delightful avenues of honour we have ever seen and the cache is something else! Images attached.

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which is to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota (where we are heading to at present), Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find at Ground Zero. Thanks so much for the cache and for having bought us to this special place.

Finally have managed to get out on a weekend! dragons and bears are having a short picnic day and as we were passing, thought that this cache offered us our likes - history and delightful vistas, so here we stopped.
The cache was found with little trouble, but much more time was spent enjoying this lovely site. The effects of conflict in far away places on tiny rural communities is always tragic. This memorial to those who left and those who remembered them is most touching. SL and replaced cache.

Tarbit was visiting the Buchan caves nearby but our littlest family member didn't fancy the idea of heading underground so we stayed outside. Having gathered info for the earth cache we still had time to nip out to Buchan South to look for this one. A very pleasant location it was too and I liked reading about the old school house that once stood here. A quick find in a likely location. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache jimmymaff.

Day four of a challenge trip to East Gippsland with BettyBoo3747.
A day's trip up to see the Buchan Caves. Toured Royal cave and got an earth cache into the bargain! How good is that?
What a great spot! I thought it would just be a small Avenue of Honor - a few trees along the side of the road, I didn't expect the exquisite spot we ended up at. Well worth the detour off the main road.
We had our lunch there and read all the plaques and information.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 9788. Day 3 for Robmc and me at Lakes Entrance. Today we headed out to Buchan Caves and collected a few caches on the way there and back again.
Firstly - a big favourite point! I cannot believe that this has not yet received any favourite points. This is my kind of cache. I loved visiting here today. We had bought some lunch in Buchan and took pot luck, aiming to have it at this cache. What a wonderful place this is - grand oak trees and a lot of memorial seats and plaques and a rather wonky Lone Pine at the end of the avenue. After lunch and after admiring the plaques and the gardens we headed to the cache. A good hiding place for it here. I signed the visitors book and was interested to see that a very recent visitor had come all the way from Perth to visit his relatives here - a couple of the Mildenhalls. It was also interesting to read that one of the school children who planted one of the trees back in the 1920's donated the plaque at the Lone Pine. I took a few photos and will add some here. A big thank you for bringing us to this tranquil place.
Thanks Jimmymaff

Found while out of a day trip with my parents. Both my father and myself attended the Buchan South Primary School way back when. Although the school buildings have gone the trees of the Avenue of Honor brought back memories.
This is a beautifully well maintained memorial and walking along the Avenue we even found a plaque listing my Great Grandfather. Noting the information off the plaque the cache was located and log signed.
Thanks Jimmymaff.

What a beautiful place this is. I came to look for this cache after dark as I had been caving at Buchan during the day. I am staying not far from here and drove past earlier in the day but didn't have the time to stay.
In the dark things appear quite different and I don't know if that was the reason, or whether I was just having an off day, but I looked for some time before I finally came across the obvious cache. Should have read the description better!! A beautiful memorial and a lovely place to visit. Thanks for bringing me here Jimmymaff.

This was the clan second find on a weekend away. Nice little hiding place. This is the second cache we have found that is placed at a site where a pine from Gallipoli has been reseeded. Reading the local history reminds us how fortunate we are never to have been separated by war or lost family members. TFTC

Having a break from the hustle bustle of everyday life with a stop over in Buchan with the geo family for a few days. This cache caught our eye as we always like a bit of history, so thought we would check it out. Thanks maff for bringing us here
After a tour of the Buchan Caves with trixie&toby, lagavullin3 and geopanda, and a DNF at a cache there just had to get one so decided to take the old road back from Buchan and hunt this one. Liked the area of GZ with the avenue of honour and the memorials. Started hunting but after a few minutes used the hint to narrow the area and lagavullin3 came up with the cache shortly thereafter. Thanks to Jimmymaff for bringing us here.
Heading back to Lakes Entrance after an interesting day at Buchan and decided to take a road slightly less travelled. This brought us to this memorial which in itself is very interesting and worth a stop. Being a nano, the cache was a difficult blighter to find. I missed it on my first pass and nearly gave up on it. Fortunately I did get on my second pass so I was able to sign the log.
Thanks Jimmymaff for putting this cache in.

This is a fantastic memorial and so well maintained and obviously loved.
