Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Thor's day the seventeenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. A quick find here today on our way past, cache is all goodTravelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
Would be a stunning view if you had a house here but we both decided that if the wind was often like this, maybe it wouldn't be so pleasant. It is a bitterly cold wind with no protection. Pleased it wasn't quite as windy where the cache was found. Thanks for the enjoyment of this cache.
GT37 and I stopped here to stretch our legs for a while and take in the view. Once we had what we needed, the cache was quickly located. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
As posted previously everything was completely destroyed, which we found weve taken the liberty of replacing the container with a vitamin bottle, moved what we can and replaced the log. So at least it can stay current, still will need attention.
We found this cache - however the container had been smashed into pieces and the contents of the log were everywhere, so therefore we couldn’t sign it. This will need urgent maintenance.
A scenic driving day as it’s drizzly. Popped my newly-knitted beanie on my head and headed up the road. A couple of multis, an Earthcache, a virtual, a puzzle and a bag of trads...
Parked in the driveway and spun around looking for the numbers Got there in the end. Then a short trek to GZ.

This took me a little time to spot the four numbers, and then I had almost to stand on my head to read them . I was a little unsure of my workings, but they were spot on and at GZ I quickly had my hand on the cache. Cache and log are good. TFTC Poiter.h.
I had organised for a weekend in Gippsland... with Saturday allocated to caching... with Sale being the focal point for the day... to visit the grave of Allan McLean for the Victorian Premiers Wherigo... Having completed the "all important" Wherigo task, I was free to chase other caches on my way back to Traralgon via the Longford road... stopping for a selection of caches as I went.
I parked in the driveway to the house to find this cache... the house owners didn't seem to be around to object .
Thanks **Poiter.h** for this cache... a clever hide!

quick solve and find. I think " was " is the correct term
Getting some more finds in this LGA. quick find.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

Numbers located co-ordinates worked out while making the most of the view and todays winter . Zoomed in on GZ my Geo sense were switched on but needed to be switched up 1 more notch. Nice hide cache located, log signed.
Enjoying the last of the sunshine before winter hits with geokids and geodad gazza001. Tftc.
Suscoe was up early this morning for the trip home.
We left Sale not long after the sun had peeped over the horizon.
It was a cool start but as the day passed by the sun got a little warmer.
We enjoyed the caches that we were after this morning.
Some traditionals, an Earth Cache, an Adventure Lab and a couple of Multis in the mix as well.
The Gippsland countryside is a delight.
Thanks to Poiter.h for this multi, all good here today.

I'm trying to break myself of my irrational dislike of multi's and since I had the time to drive this far this evening, I did so! I was stymied at first until a chance comment in a previous log led me to the information I needed and then I was off and running, so to speak. It all would have been so much easier if I'd just remembered to bring a pair of reading glasses!

YAY - I found '(Was) A House With a View' today . I found the details I needed and completed the maths while sitting in the car out of the wind. With the new co-ords plugged into my finding device, I was off. AND - the cache was found quite quickly. The log was signed and the cache was replaced safely. Thanks Poiter.h for setting up this cache. The old house would have had fabulous view down across the paddocks and valley.
PS: The Troll Dolls (TN6TR0) were with me on my great caching adventures today.

Got up super early in the moring while visiting my in laws in Rosedale to drive the back road to Sale to grab some caches. Some lovely views and a spectacular sunrise!
A great multi. Took longer to try and find the numbers than do the calculations and grab the cache. TFTC!

OMG... easy multi... did we make that hard!
Arrive at start... no house numbers...
Managed to fabricate these by other means.
Did the calculations.... then doing the division... do you do this or do you that?
Mr. Riddell insisted you do that.
Do that... nothing that distance away looks viable... he goes off to where he thinks anyway... nothing, Mrs Riddell says try only other visible option...
Meanwhile Mrs Riddell still seeking GZ options stumbles on the house numbers.
Confirms correct numbers. (Hint... look very closely near the second fence post).
Same time Mrs Riddell jumps in excitement with her find, so does Mr Riddell with his cache find.
Which is nowhere where we expected!!!
Go figure, however we earned them!!!

On our way back to Leongatha today we decided to take this side road and collect the series along this road. This fun little multi was a nice change in pace along the road. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
What happens when one team member heads off to check the probable location and the other says..... no no 100m the other way.... so off the hunter goes small geokid in tow grass and fence bashing..... after 100m the 'other' team member says.... I think something is wrong with the GPS.... it's back there! The grass bashing geokid in tow geo cachers says maybe you put a digit wrong? So it seems says the calculating team member.... back we went for a quick find!

I'm thinking the post number has been changed. It starts in the 8000s which gives too many digits and even if I drop the last number puts me on private property.

What an interesting story this place must have. Does anyone know what happened to the house? Tftc.
With a rare good day arriving a plan was hatched with Rebel Acts to head out towards Rosedale and complete the Giffard Road series and then loop back through Woodside towards home.
It was a great day with lots of frivolity and fun with the most common comment to each other being 'amateurs' when we found a cache. But we are not competitive!
We picked up a number of other caches outside the series and managed to get to others we hadn't planned on as our progress through the list was impressive. A total of 60 finds for the day!
It took us a while to locate the numbers, but once found the maths was easy and the cache found.
Amazing how easy it is to find something once you know where it is.

Sun was shining and a day off meant a caching trip with Ski Pair, a plan was hatched with a list of around 70 caches on it as we headed out to tackle the Giffard Road Series and a few other caches we passed along the way. We managed 2 FTF's and I found My 17,000 cache. Should of gone with gut instinct on this one, would have saved us crunching the numbers.
Thanks Poiter.h for the cache.

Found by Mary and David at 11:15:00. The burnt plantation nearby is being logged. Wonder how useful those logs will be? If only those chimney bricks could talk. We hope the family that lived here had a happy life and time to admire the view. Gets a FP. Our thanks to Poiter.h.
Day 27 of my trip and I’m needing to hurry along a bit if I want to get to Queanbeyan early next week while still doing the things I want to do along the way!
Today I was keen to ensure I had finds in all the various LGAs, and the map pages for the Victorian Country Road Atlas challenge, as it is unlikely I’ll be back over this way for a while. This meant having to make some lengthy detours and leave quite a few mystery caches I had solved and traditionals and multis that I was keen to do that I passed close to. But I still got distracted a few times!
This was an easy multi that I was able to do as I was passing. Initially, when I saw some posts had been damaged and replaced, I thought that the numbers at WP1 might be missing. But after a quick look around, I soon saw them and had the information I needed for Gz. From there it was just a short distance to the nicely concealed container.
Thanks Poiter.h for the cache.

Catching up with some very late logs
We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive by's. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
We really enjoyed this series with the different hides, good co-ordinates and safe parking. a great way to finish our few days caching in this lovely part of the world.
Thanks Scrappy1 for placing this series.

This one took a bit of head scratching but at the end of the day geo-logic prevailed and the cache was found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Camped at Gormandale after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. First for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Straya Day Weekend - 60 Caches - A Guy, a Gal and a Boy - Great Family Day
We decided after a two year absence of serious caching that we need to get out more and gather some finds. Today had us heading East towards Rosedale and Longford before having lunch at Sale, we then tacked the Gifford series before having dinner at Yarram at the pub and heading home.
Nary a cache evaded us, and our competitive juices flowed and we couldn't be separated at the end of the day with 18 finds each, with a few joint finds.
Thank you for all the hiders for their efforts.
Whilst the area around GZ has been affected by the recent fires, the cache is safe and sound undamaged. GZ was quickly calculated and found by Katy.

It is amazing how the chimmy stays standing while the rest of the house disappears, who was ever to know that perhaps the early builders should apply the building tecniques for the chimmy to the rest of the building. The views are grand. SL TFTC
We’re usually too rushed for time to spend on multi’s so we had previously earmarked this one for when we weren’t in so much of a hurry to get home. Had time this arvo after a trip to Sale to take the long way home and finish off the great series along this road, and do this one as well. What a great view this house must’ve had. Looks like it was a kitchen chimney, would be interesting to see the house that went with it. A clever cache hide. SL TFTC
This location was definitely worth stopping to enjoy the view, even though it was a bit cloudy. It was a miserable day and well suited to a roadtrip and sightseeing. Thanks for the cache and safe parking.
On a blustery freezing caching day we decided to finish off with the series along this road. Spotting the multi we decided to be efficient so on the way past we grabbed the required info and on the way back with calculations sorted we dropped in for a quick park and grab. Tftc
Combining a bit of retail and caching therapy. I have been here previously as a muggle today I am finally back in the area to claim the find. Thankfully my memory served me well and I had the cache quickly to hand.

This has a very funny tale - for some reason I changed the co-ords that I had which had me looking over 700 metres away. Anyway, along came the CO on his way home from work and asked me what the heck I was doing? Anyway, after showing him my working out (all correct) we checked the GPSr and found that I had totally buggared up when I was putting the numbers into the GPS. All good and located easily after adjustments had been made.

We picked this one up amongst the Rosedale-Longford Road series, which ticked all the boxes for us today, a great variety of hides, dry logs with ample space, off road parking all in an interesting location.
**Feedback to CO:** A fresh log would really be appreciated to match the great views here! The temporary log has run it's course.
Thanks 'Poiter.h' for placing this cache.

Out for a day of caching with NoonaB on a wet cold windy day, perfect for park and grabs with a nice warm car to retreat to in between caches. Thanks for placing the caches along this road.
I will be back to this location with my camera, the views are amnazing.

This cache was found pretty quickly in the fading light with some help from friends who had already found it not long ago. Even so I had a bit of trouble finding it and took some time to make the find. My knees objected to me getting down on them to recover the cache. I finally got my hand on the treasure, signed the log and returned it to its hiding place.
Sigh after recalculating and still coming up with same coords we set out looking again. Within 30 seconds geohubby had cache. Grrr im sure i looked there anyway cache signed and returned. Tftc.
I said, ooh look, one of Poiter's multis, do you want to stop and do it. Now Petal hates multis, but we stopped and read the description before we got out of the car. We found what was needed and progressed to calculate the coordinates. After a brain freezing few minutes, I had the sums done, so off we went. The cache was soon found and we left a small sheet as a temp log. Cache in great condition, just needs a better log sheet.
Thanks Poiter.h for the maths lesson and placement.

Thought i had my maths correct but no cache to be found. Will try again another time. Would love a hint from co.... searched nearby possible hides with no luck.
Woohoo! Only my 4th or so multi...I’m not the best at solving these and after confirming with the CO that I was one digit short I sought the help of a maths inclined friend who was able to show me where I went wrong and the coordinates were now correct. I couldn’t see a log to sign in this cache and since I’m not conversant with Multis I didn’t know if this was normal or not, but the few I have found have had logs in them so I put a few small pieces of paper in just incase. I took the TB and left a small box of pencils. I really enjoyed this cache and liked the final hiding place. You’re right, the house that once stood here would have had a beautiful view! Thanks for placing a cache here

Heading to Loch Sport for a few days of R & R and this cache appeared on the map. A couple of calculations were completed and the cache was soon in the Chief's hand.
Picked up the required numbers on our way to the motorbike track. Stopped in on our way home to make this clever find. Picked up TB to move on

What a lonely chimney! Never would've spotted it if not for this cache. On my way back from a client visit and decided to take the time to grab a cache or two. Happy to make this stop and return a missed phone call at the same time. Nothing like multitasking! Thanks for the cache Poiter!
Finally got the time to look for this one, the view early this morning was very nice, got the info needed and soon had cache in hand. TFTC
I found the maths for the east co-ordinate a little hard to calculate.
1st try gave me a spot some 80km's away. Figured that wasn't it
Next try was about 700m so I tried that but the spot was the wrong side of a farmers fence
3rd try was a charm and it turns out the extra travel wasn't required

Interesting to sit here where I used to drive by all the time. Swapped creatures. TFTC.
On my way to Longford for work and I happened to have overestimated the time delay caused by the roadworks. Woopsie....how on earth to kill time? I navigated myself into a prime parking position and set about using the calculator on my phone. Which worked out well until I realised that doing so meant the phone's GPS had lost me completely. So I used my powers of deduction to decipher where the final gz dot appeared and checked out a few spots. I found it on my second go - TFTC Poiter.h and you're right, the view is magnificent and a homestead here would be breathtaking. In the end, my patient's home in Longford shared some of this view so I had double the pleasure.
Nearby it most definitely is. I use to wonder at the chimney when my family lived nearby. To bad no one can see another nearby homestead in better repair - Burgen's house - as it is in the middle of a large property. Took solider, left cockroach. TFTC
