Oops I thought I had actually Archived this and it looks like I just disabled it instead.
An evening stroll through Hokitika. After searching the obvious place thoroughly we finally checked past logs - oh, it's disabled. See it's still disabled as I log the DNF on the 12 February 2018 too...
I came by today with nephew Lucas (+ Dad) and we only found the lid We will have to come up with a better hiding place here as the neighborhood kids thinks its more fun to ruin it for everyone else rather than joining in Watch this space....
This cache was a monkey on our back but no more. This time the muggle factor was almost zero The first part of the hint was soon identified. Holymu checked where I just had been and found the second part of the hint under the cache The log was soon signed and the cache was replaced as per the hint. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
A revisit here after a DNF last time. It still took quite a bit of hunting before we unearthed the cache but my blue sad face has now been replaced with a smiley.
Thank gracie7 + Mum.

The Seagnoid, Zara Toby and I are off for an expedition to the West Coast for a long weekend. Left Zara with her friend Total Span. With Ross behind us we are back to explore Hokitika.
Was here on the Flintstone misson but had to snag and tag this one while in the area. Not many pleople using the facilities today so was an easy hunt. Cheers

Day two of a three-day geocaching extravaganza with Taybeedragon.
Having found a Flintstone cache we walked over here for this. Gotta be careful with this walking lark - with only 200-400 metres between caches we are inclined to walk, but at the end of the day we could be a very long way from the car. So back we go now.

We did a maintenance run to Hoki today so stopped to see what we could do here. We thought we would give this cache just one last shot so we placed a cache close enough not to change the coordinates but in a different spot - with a pretty specific clue. Hopefully this will be better than the last hide. Goodluck and Happy Caching
In Hokitika today for a cache maintence run. Again we found the container not where it was suppose to be and the logbook was missing. Even though this has a pretty obvious hint to has been abit hit and miss over the last few years. Temporarily disabling the cache until we decide to replaced it nearby or archive all together.
Gave this a good look and found 2 very potential places with no cache. Not found for a while - - is it there?
Might have been there but I was a bit too short to find out and at was a bit too wet to climb up in work clothes!
Making our way to Westport for the long weekend and collecting caches on the way.
Unfortunately this was not one of them! Looked high and all around - to no avail!

In Greymouth for a wee easter family holiday. Heading back home to CHCH today with a wee detour to Hokitika gorge . Had a bit of a look around the touristy shops...now a couple caches along the way to the gorge. Took a bit of a search - just about to give up & there is was.
We had a good look but no luck. The D/T rating might need looking at if it's still there.
Found it on my tour trough beautifull New Zealand with The_KC and Jambo 13. Logged as CG3 to save space in the logbook. Tftc
On tour in NZ! To safe space and time we logged as cg3 (caching girls 3)!

Wow, found almost three months after the previous find (by cachers from the Czech Republic, as us ). Also the programme is very similar - nearest cache(s), fish&chips and back on track!
Thanks for the cache, greetings from the Czech Republic!

Mum checked this one today while in Hokitika. The cache was on the ground and all fine.
It has now been placed back according to the hint. Happy Caching

Making an impact on the number of found caches here, this was another one. I started looking in the wrong spot.. after a few minutes there, I moved to another location, that turned out to match both hint and coordinates much better and then it was a quick find

After watching two of the 3 Lord of the Ring's movies I needed to get out from the hostel for a walk to stretch my legs. The rain has stopped for now which is nice. I had to look at the hint to help on this as gps was out a few metres. Tftc
After mwin002's comments Mum stopped to check on this one today. She found the original cache on the ground a little wet so she removed it leaving the replacement in place. Happy Caching
We stopped to check on this after a few DNFs. We couldnt find the original so left a replacement in exactly the same place. All good to go again
This probably wasn't the best cache to try at night but it was fun having a go. Thanks to gracie 7 + mum. We' had a great time with your caches.
No find today. Searched all around the hint objects. Too many muggles to do any more. Rodney and iris.
We're for 1 night in a nice Motel @ Hotitika and made a walk through the rain ☔️☔️☔️. Visited and found and logged some caches. This one also.

Staying in Hokitika overnight while cycling the Wilderness trail. Mapper Ted and I set off for a late afternoon bike ride to find some more caches here. No problems with this one, TFTC gracie7 + Mum.
A new day and new road ahead for us. Today we are leaving the Glaciers after a night in Franz Josef and heading towards Greymouth. Stayed in town for fish and chips dinner on the beach and watching the bon fire. Awesome. TFTC
A workman left the area as we arrived so we had the whole place to ourselves for an easy find. Another wet log. TFTC
Found this Cache today on a walk with the dog. Not to hard after finding out about the meaning of pungas tried to drop a tb, but unfortunately the box was to small ... Anyway thanks
Quick find. The cache was sitting well disguised in slightly different height than in hint but I've left it where I found it as it still was easy to search for.
Out and about with Mrs Nofs on a lovley West Coast day. Managed to take in lots of views and snag a cache or two while we were about it. Thanks for adding these to this part of the world.
My nephew ( who also is a cacher ) was playing rugby here today. Two tuis flying around above us. TFTC.
