Not found since last September. A needs maintenance log not actioned.
Time to draw the curtain.
Time to draw the curtain.
Long search, cleared away a good 20 metres of leaves, etc looking for the cache. Didn't find.
We tried to sneak this one in at the end of the day but didn't manage a quick find so we'll have to come back another time.
No luck finding it today. Spent time on both sides of the fence, we must have been in the wrong spot.
This park is quite close to where I used to live just across the river. As I still drive up or down Silverwater Road quite often for work this has been tempting me, so with some spare time this morning after a job I stopped by. Didn't realise it was quite so far from where you could park! Walked over while on the phone and ended up finding it without using the GPS (that was on the phone). Again no camo covering it today, so after signing the log put a bit over it. There is a pen on the inside of the fence for some reason pointing directly at the cache if you have trouble. Log could really do with replacement, extraction and finding a clear spot to write was tricky. Thanks Randomguy13.
The cache was found after a Phone-a-Friend, her first!?!
I found the coordinates about ten metres of and the log sheet stuck in the bison.
TFTC.

After assuring another suspicious looking character that we weren't muggles we joined together to hunt down the cache.
But sadly no luck today!
But sadly no luck today!
Armed with a new log to add to the cache was unable to locate it. I was joined by another cacher & son and with 3 sets of eyes no luck today.
Nice, quick, easy find - although some of the camo had blown away so it felt like cheating when it was glinting up at me! Unfortunately the log is full and wet, so no signing today. TFTC - would never have wandered down here without it!
Log is very wet. The container doesn't seem to have a good seal.
Maybe the CO can find a tiny bag to put in or a better sealed container?

Found on a bike riding visit to Olympic Park and the Armory. Katsumar and I nipped off while the littlies enjoyed the Milennium Parklands playground.
With the help of the hints this turned up fairly quickly.
Log was very wet so we took a photo instead.
Container doesn't seem very watertight.
Thanks for the cache Randomguy13

Sorry, randomguy13 ..... this is technically beyond a simple snap lock bag type-replacement fix. Even if you replace the wet log paper (which is simply papier-mâché right now), it will quickly become water logged again. The rubber o-ring seal is totally missing (have recently seen them badly cracked), so the container is simply NOT water proof.
Brilliant sunny day strolling around. Lots of noise from a "dogs fun day" thing nearby, but no muggles. Soon had CIH (didn't have to move too much leaf litter, container was showing clearly). However, cache log totally water logged to the stage of returning to water pulp. Given the cache was showing a bit, I covered it with something a geocacher will find obvious, bit random junk to a muggle. TFTC
Seriously tricky hide.... Jordie deservingly got it after a few past DNFs. Cheers!
Found by Jordan after moving leaves on fence line. Found with Dicky, Benny, Morry, Elise and I
260th find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013. My second attempt at this one but this time with some of the Wallumetta Scout Fellowship (dicky_v, morry9, markau, Benny & Elice) after our archery activity had been washed out. TFTC dinkyfish.
Was on the wrong side of the fence and there was a soccer match and dog trials happening so didnt venture under, but did have a look and couldn't locate anything. It was also getting late so needed to head back to the car on our bikes.
Thanks anyway and i will be back,
Thanks anyway and i will be back,
Managed to pluck off one more before I was well and truly feeling late for where I needed to be.
In the area and had time for a quick find with the park busy with weekend sport. Far enough away to not rouse suspicion. Contents dry and found a small space to sign. Can understand why it would get wet here.

I came in from the north, and my space gadget wanted me well past the fence. In the end it was an easy find at these coords -- --.653, --- --.190. Well that's where the space gadget told me where it was today. Thanks R13.
My son forgot to take his wallet this morning so I had to take a drive to his workplace at Silverwater to deliver it to him. Half of Silverwater Road was under water for some reason and the traffic was appalling so I took a few back streets and ended up at Wilson Park. I checked for nearby caches and noticed that this one was close so I picked it up.
As I signed the log I was almost eaten alive by mosquitos, I have never seen so many. I hope the Newington Gunners apply insect repellent before their games .
The log is basically full (I found a small blank space to sign in), and is a little damp.
Thanks for the cache Randomguy13.

We were just about to give up when I suggested we look along a section of fence we hadn't looked before.
One of the Venturers bent down, moved a bit of leaf litter and found the log.
The log needs replacing, but we didn't have the issues of getting into the cache that others seemed to have.

Took a bit of poking around to find but got there in the end. As others have said, a bit hard to open. SL TFTC
The team took out GMBain for his active introduction to Geocaching. Being 2nd for the day, we figured he's picked it up as he found this one for the team. Well done GMBain! SL. TFTC.
23/03/13 12:01 PM. Cache #498. Current streak: 195 days. Second of 5 in a loop around Auburn council. Took a while to look for this one, starting on the wrong side of the fence and having to wriggle under the gap to get to the right side. Eventually it showed up and as others have mentioned this bison's clammed up good. I too have a photo to show the find.
A quick find in a very pleasant parkland. Have known about this park forever but never ever been inside. The cache is impossible to open. The o ring is gone and it seems to have rusted shut. Couldn't open it to extract the log so I've uploaded a photo of the cache as my proof of a find. Lots of mozzies in this area. Another calendar day crossed off.
Tftc sl quick find the cache is hard to open it looks like it has been cross threaded nice park
Cache may require a little work (Perhaps WD40?) as it is extremely difficult to open.
Interesting find on the way home from work to keep the cache going.
Was concerned I couldn't turn into this road, but sure enough, I could (Just) and discovered not only a new and interesting park, but also a huge car park. Cool spot under the bridge.
Walked past soccer players, found cache easily and went for a wander in the "other" park. Large numbers of mosquitos.
Very difficult to open cache.
Signed and headed off.
Thanks for the cache!

TFTC,
What an effort. I havd forgotten all about morning peak hour traffic.
Having to be in the area, this cache has become day 351 of my personall challenge as I seek to reach 366 continuous days including the 29th February (something you can only do every 4th year).
Visited a group of trackables supporting my adventure and learning about cache information.
Nana Nel turned up the container while I was searching a couple of meters away.

Found with Wazza9, luckly I turned up the container this time, you just have to read the clue. TFTC
All was quiet this afternoon at Wilsoin Park, allowing me to have a uninterrupted search.
Came up trumps quickly.
Pity that this cache is barracking for Arsenal not Man United.
(Yes I know the gunners are the local soccer team:))

Found with Zal after a soggy walk across the park. Why so small here? Lots of space nearby!
Took a little while but got there in the end. Stopped by for the Munzee then walked across to grab this. Noticed the co-ords issues Randomguy, happens to the best of us. If you want some help in how to take good co-ords drop me a line!
Zhaoy and I wandered back and forth along the clue until I spotted the shiny poking out behind the camo. Log book a bit soggy from the heavy rain recently. Nearby are lots of good spots a proper cache could be hidden nearby which would stay dry if you ever want to upgrade this little micro.
Cheers!

We remembered this one when it first came out and a few DNF's so left it alone. Back in the area today and with the co-ords being ok we parked nearby and set off across the oval. We got to GZ and immediately saw the camo and then the cache. Certainly been some activity around here for searches. We completed the signing duties and re hide. TFTC
Came by this morning en route to Costco and thought I could access this from the car park closest to the Silverwater bridge. Not to be, had to go back out and around to the other car park. Crossed the empty oval to GZ where it looks like the brush turkeys have been in action recently. I was looking for a smaller cache in light of Cumberland Conundrum but then I realised it wasn't that small and made the find. Signed on the last line of the front page of the log. It will need a longer log very soon.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I see Blundobusters had been there just before me. I bet this took them around zero time to find. All that's missing is a train track.
Wilson Park site was a gas works for many years. It created a lot of tarry gunk as a waste, which was buried onsite and returned to haunt decades later.

I thought this would be quiet mid-week on a restricted access road with no nearby buildings but it looks like it is the local exercise track for workers at lunch. Took me a little while but finally I saw something and there it was. TFTC.
Quick find. Coords are good.

Came back to see if the coords were better this time. Turns out I wasn't that far off in my FTF attempt last time. After a little search, I made the find. SL and replaced. Thanx again RG13, TFTC

Found after a little foraging around.
Signed the very small log sheet for the size of the container and rntd. safe.

Managed to be feeding the pesky mozzies more than making the find. The relentless barrage continued not ones and twos but in tens and some more. Very distracting it was and was about to panic when you start to up the pace in search. As GZ was in the middle of the road (might need to check coords again) and knowing a brave man does not panic and how distracting it might be and struggling along the fence I had CIH eventually.

Within the next week I will try to update coordinates thanks alfy and locko for telling me about the difficulties you faced
Our first FTF! Saw this one pop up last night and was going to go out and have and look but then remembered gps was playing up. geomum fixed it and this afternoon we went out. We saw where previous cachers tracks were. we searched gz thoroughly but no luck we widen our search area and after about 10minutes had cache in hand. Co-ords are about 13 meters out. thanks for the cache and the FTF randomguy13.
Came past after dropping of the Geogirl and saw that no logs had been written yet. Drove up and parked and then walked to GZ. Started searching and noticed there had been cacher movement already, but no DNF's yet? I searched close to the fence line, but GPSr was about 4-6m out, so widend my search with no luck.
Spent about 30 minutes here, looking 10m either side of 'GZ' to no avail. Not even a sniff of the cache. I approached from the park side - I presumed it wasn't hidden on the other side of the fence?
Will wait for someone else to find first, before returning, I think...
