As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Champs2Monkeys are heading south, and as such can not maintain this cache.

^dventurers has kindly offered to maintain this cache on our behalf. C+2M are very appreciative for her help and will maintain a supply of replacement caches and stores.

Those that have contacted us to also offer help, I thank you for the offer, but ^dventurers beat you to it. I passed your names to ^dventurers and she will reach out to you if she needs assistance in maintaining this cache.

To all the Townsville Cachers, thank you for the hunt, and if you’re in the ACT, look us up.

Cheers

Met up with JackyLegs44 for a spot of caching this morning. It was nice to put another few faces to names/logs.

GeoKids found this one and was able to grab the prize quite quickly.

Dipped GeoKrety Key Coin.

Quick grab. Replaced log with dry one but not waterproof so will probably get wet again. Still fun TFTC

Called by today for a quick find. We had lunch in the Motor Home and let the log dry for 30 minutes before replacing. It is still sodden and unable to be unrolled. Thanks to the last finder for putting in some more paper. Retrieved wet and replaced dry.

Extracted cache but could not sign to to soggy log. Sad Had fun anyway.

30-Jun-14
The last one we have time for before leaving Townsville. We didn't have pen so didn't sign log, but took a photo.
Have really enjoyed the lovely walk along the beautiful river on such a sunny morning. Thanks for the cache!!
Heading south now.

27-Jun-14
The log sheet needs to be replaced, as it is sodden.

06-Jun-14
We got the cache, although not by the intended method. I have seen a similar cache back at home and like these "different" caches. The log sheet is mush and impossible to sign.

06-Jun-14
Another of these clever mystery caches located as we worked our way around the Wherigo. Not sure we solved in the intended way but the cache was soon in hand. Added a temporary log. Had to bypass the next one as we didn't have the necessary equipment.

03-Jun-14
During a business trip to Townsville I took some time at night to try for some caches. Tonight's adventures took me to the riverwalk area. My main focus was the Wherigo cache as I have recently completed my first one of these and wanted to try again. There were also a few other caches around that I would try for along the way!
This was one that was on the way, and as I suspected I knew what would be required to find this one. Firstly the tool needed seemed weaker than needed, so other tools were utilised. Secondly the log is SO wet it is completely unusable and unsignable.

Thanks for the challenge!

Not sure if we retrieved this in the manner intended but we got it anyway.

after the rain
out for a little stroll along the river
spotted the container
played with it a little to extract the cache
[?] the log sheet is soaked - how does a log concealed in this manner, managed to get wet [?]
anyway ... tried to leave my mark ... pretty unsuccessfully
apologies for not carrying and leaving a replacement
... I must work on that caching kit bag

The number of little red spanners on our caches is growing.

Work has been crazy busy, but I guess we really need to go out and mend/check a few of these.

23-Mar-14
Found quickly and were lucky hardly any muggles around at that stretch of walking trail. However couldn't sign log as it was drenched.

02-Mar-14
Needs a new log. Current one is soaked

Approaching GZ, we thought the name of the cache could refer to sliding down that trunk into the water, weee Smile. Took a bit of jiggling with the brackets in the way but were soon rewarded with a cache and a smiley.

Another cache that's been on my must complete list for a long time. I had a fair idea what to expect before I arrived at the GZ. Once at the GZ, the cache was easily found, but extracting it's contents is another story. Took awhile, but eventually the contents were extracted and log signed. Log has seen better days, but still usable. TFTC C2M! Earned a Favourite Point from me for this one. SL {#301}.

Found at 4:40 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF1. This was another cache that we were looking forward to and knew exactly what to do, but were disappointed as again the previous hider didn't give us much of a challenge - we presume again! The cache container was right at the cap end when we opened it Red Face.
Made sure it was different for the next lucky cache finder Big Grin.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.

Attempted some maintenance via a drop of glue, but not sure this is operating as you originally intended, so might be worth a look. Also log is a bit fragile as it looks like it has been wet in the past. Good cache, though, so hopefully it will continue. Cheers.

Found this one by accident yesterday, but no pen, so came back today with geohound to log. TFTC, TNLN

23-Apr-13
Found it easy, worked it out easy as I've seen this type on you tube. But when I was screwing the lid on a vital part has come unstuck. I managed to put it all back in tube but it will need attention.

Thanks! Tnln

Contains micro tube n log. No pen here.

16-Apr-13
Slightly damaged, but still working.

Will bring some glue wit me next time.

There is no need to remove it from it's mount. You are just damaging the cache.

Another great puzzle Cache. We slid right and we slid left then the container appeared. We really enjoyed the puzLes this afternoon. Cheers.

14-Dec-12
Another great cache idea but I have seen this one a couple fo times before and knew exactly what to do.
I know the description mentions to put the lid on firmly but maybe not with the strength of a superhero!
After I eventually managed to get the lid off the fun began.
I tried and tried but couldn't get anyhting to happen inside.
After a while I gently rotated the tube and must have aligned the planets because it took hold straight away and was out in no time.
Signed and reaplced the way it came out.
Thanks for the fun.

Cheers and happy caching.

Another novel cache along this stretch. Have come across one or two of these before but they are still few and far between. So we knew exactly what to do and the log magically appeared Razz. Thanks Champs2Monkeys

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo.

A solid day driving between Bowen and Townsville. Much respect was given to each cache on Remembrance Day. Thanks for the fun!! We actually used our super dooper strong mags from the car. We have pro caching aids. Smile

Thanks to Champs2Monkeys and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. I brought my own.

08-Nov-12
Found it after a good search, but sadly the log was gone and there was nothing in the 'container' Sad

08-Nov-12
What an interesting idea!! Didn't figure it out for a while though... TFTC ??

25-Oct-12
I was a bit confused here at first as probably some others are. I was thinking of a cache called "Rise of the Machine" in Sydney when I read the description but it's not like that at all. It's like another by the same CO though although this is different again. I wasn't sure if I was making progress at all but then it emerged! Signed the log as the muggles marched past on their morning walks blissfully ignorant of what they were missing out on.
Another favourite - that's three in a row! Lucky I've got plenty left.

Thanks!

2nd find tonight caching with Corikra.
Once again I found the cache and again that was the easy part Smile
Quickly worked out how the cache is to be retrieved and soon the cache was in hand Razz

We both enjoyed this hunt its not something I have done caching yet.

Thanks C2M really enjoyed this cache.

Thanks for all your efforts Big Grin

Night caching with Cat tonight. This one was another interesting cache hide. It was quickly clear how it is supposed to work, so we teased the container out of it's hiding place and signed the log.
Except for the huge ants , it was lots of fun.

Come on guys.

I don't want to be the cache police.

If you don't have your name in the log, how do you claim the find?

25-Sep-12
This was our 1st cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 16:14.
(So this is our 4823rd total find.)

Found fairly quickly. It tooka bit of time to tease the bison out though.

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks Champs2Monkeys for the hunt today.

What a shocking start for these new caches.

Tested the operation when I installed. Should have tested the log siging. Would have noticed there was no log inside. Ha ha ha

All good now, with the rightful FTF on the log.
