### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there Gonefishen07,

It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident.

The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.

#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache**

- **Place A Write Note Log**

- **Adopt Out or Archive**

Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned. Twisted

It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Thanks for your cooperation,

I suggested to AnnoyingTarbit that we did a spot of caching over Christmas and we ended up heading to Wonthaggi to work along a section of the rail trail (and look for a few caches in between). We had more finds than not, though there were more DNFs than we expected. I'm attributing it to the hot weather and a reluctance to spend lots of time looking...

We had been chatting about the rarity of large sized caches on the travel down to Wonthaggi, so it was a welcome suprise to find this one on the trail. AT made the find again here with me lagging behind through the grass. TFTC

Find #4883

After months of planning a caching day Lost_and_Found_79 and I locked in on the day after Boxing Day to head out. The main target was a section of the Bass Rail Trail between Kilcunda and Wonthaggi and though it was as a scorcher it actually turned out to be a little cooler nearer to the coast. I'm collecting large caches to meet the requirments of a challenge cache so this was a bonus to find along this series. We spotted it quickly and I liked the themed container given the nearby infrastructure. My 21st of 35 finds on a great day of caching in the area. Took nothing, dropped a TB, signed log and visited some of my own trackables. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.

20 May 2018, Found @2:33 pm, Find # 1561

After completing Handy in the Night with mazza-g last night we hit the rail trail this morning on the bikes. I was not paying attention and completely road past this one. On the return trip I made this one the last one for the day. What a great day out. The weather wasn't the best but that didn't stop us exploring this fantastic location. I look forward to coming back to complete the rest of the series.

Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache

Day three of my Victorian Caching Adventure. Time to get put the bicycle I’d hired to work and explore the Bass Rail Trail. I left the bike at my motel and drove out to Anderson parked there and caught a bus back to Wonthaggi so I only had to cycle the one way. A great ride I’d recommend to anyone. The caching along the way was a bonus really. I had a reasonable good hit rate and found most of the ones I looked for. Cheers and TFTC

KAKAGA Mark 2: Kate And Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventure is happening again because we're free of children, chores and work! Hurrah! A trip down to the coast was organised with the New Years events and rail trail in mind and ended with a count of: one emergency department visit, one headbutted tree, one muggle asking if we were looking for drugs, endless swarms of flies, many scratches, one sunburned shoulder, one milestone 1000th cache, great meals, good company and 66 caches.

Well, this one took two of us trying then one with all four limbs to open it, but we got there and signed the log. TFTC Gonefishen07

08-Jan-17
This weekend marked the second of the much anticipated KAKAGA trips (Kate and Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventures). Mummy Short Legs and I were both very excited to be given the opportunity to spend almost two full days together with nothing but a vehicle, our bikes and our GPSs for company. We were not going to let soaring temperatures or bucketloads of flies stop us, we were going to cache our way around the Inverloch/Wonthaggi area till we dropped (or until the geohusbands begged for our return at least!).

Coming prepared with bikes we hit up the rail trail on our second day of KAKAGA#2. Another nice big one that made me sad that the kids weren't with me to make the most of the swaps. Took a bit of bracing to get it open and then to work through the layers to sign the log but luckily no muggles past us during this time. TFTC GF07

While out in the company of the McLookers we set out to get a start on the trail with bikes ready & roaring, plenty of water and snacks packed we were off. The sun belting down made for a hot ride but with sunscreen applied and our helmets for protection we enjoyed the trail and all caches on offer. Most caches were found with only a few DNF'S as we kept the pace up ...pedal, search, sign, pedal!
Thanks Gonefishen07 for your efforts put into this rail trail series, we had a ball.

Nice big one here.

In the area on bikes with The Tritonz with the aim of completing the Rail Trail. The grass was very, very long in many places. Fortunately we did not see a snake...I am not sure how as it was a very snakey kind of day. Thanks GF07, it is a brilliant picturesque trail that gave us the opportunity to see another very pretty part of Victoria.

Hi there Gonefishen07.

We found your cache "Rail Trail-Swap and Go"at 10:59:00 AM today, & this now makes our find count 12678.

Today was "cycle day". We wanted to attempt some of the rail trail caches so we drove down to the nearest parking area and pedaled off. When we finished our run we discovered hat we had logged 16 and DNF'd 2 caches.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking. Wink
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.

Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

#759 - Day two of my trip down to the Inverloch for some caching.

The first part of my day today consisted of riding the rail trail from Wonthaggi to Kilcunda picking up as many Rail Trail caches as I could. My weapon of choice was my brothers cycle-cross bike so I could give it a go, with the decision to leave my road and mountain bike at home.

After having a bit of a sleep in to 7am this morning to catch up on some sleep, I quickly had breakfast and headed off to park at Wonthaggi to start the ride.

Between the hours of 08:00-15:00, I was able to get to Kilcunda and back as well as complete 44 of the 50 rail trail caches that I set out to do, (6 DNF's due to not being able to find them and not spend to much time there or due to muggle activity).

I was very impressed with the variety of caches and different cache hides along this part of the Rail Trail. I ended up spending a lot more time looking for caches then riding as quite a few of them were a challenge to find!

Thank you Gonefishen07 for the effort put into these caches, had a really fun ride.

19/09/2015 - 1.30pm - No. 492 - 2nd for the day - On a caching stroll for 3.4km & 2 hours with You_Can_Do_It_2 along the rail trail from Dalyston to Mouth of the Powlett Rd. Our chauffer dgfb33 dropped us off at one end & collected us from the other end Big Grin . Access could have been an issue, made for bigger hands than mine but managed. Wink Thanks for the cache. A lovely day for a stroll.

In Wonthaggi this weekend for a whole heap of geocaching!

Saturday, and what was planned to be a massive day. The schedule was to travel to Kilcunda via the rail trail, then head back down the coast. Unfortunately I ran out of time and had to head back to Wonthaggi before completing all the caches. Nevertheless a heap of smileys are now on the map, and I had a blast. A huge thank you to Gonefishen07 for placing these, they are great! Ill be back another day to finish the area off! I apologize for the generic logs, but there are a lot of them!!

Another quick find

TFTC!!

Liking large caches we saw there was a street nearby that met the rail trail so headed over. On the way to Swap and Go we passed Stopping All Stations so stopped to have a search and made a quick find although a feature in the hint has been cut down. After signing the log it was then onto the large were we made a quick find. We completed the signing duties and re hid TFTC.

Geogranddaughter, Miss 3 and I made our way to this one. There were some groups of bike riders who travelling in both directions and Miss 3 was standing on the track holding up her hands and telling them to slow down. They all thought it was pretty funny and gave her big smiles and waves, so everyone was happy. This was a nice easy find, but unfortunately getting the lid off it was not so easy and I struggled with it for a bit until I finally got it to budge. Miss 3 thought she might like a swap out of this one, but then she changed her mind, which is fortunate, as I had left all my swaps at home today.

At this stage Miss 3 was happily running along in front of me and had stopped complaining about the wind blowing so I thought it was safe to try for one more along the rail trail.
