Back on holidays chasing the sun, travelling around and collecting a few caches on our way. Found your cache easily and it was in good condition. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of holiday.
Working our way up to Marble Bar on a maintenance run we decided to take the detour out to grab this one. We parked on the other side of the creek bed and enjoyed the short walk up to gz. Cool view once at gz and a nice quick find too. We made our mark on your log and returned your cache back to its place of hiding. TFTC FelixII
After a fairly long drive for us and getting this far, we found this beauty in a pretty amazing and beautiful place! Love this hide on this little hill…..the colours are just right for me (I have to admit though that I don’t have to live in these harsh conditions). We trotted up the hill and enjoyed the views before heading off on our to Marble Bar cache maintenance run. A quick trip from Perth and all good so far! A favourite for me because of how much I like it out here! Thanks for the hide FelixII.
On my way to Perth via Broome with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
A great view from up here. Probably should have left the caravan back at the road. Took it through the creek. Now to get back out.

Found with kiwinic on our annual northern holiday. A nice view and a good little walk. TFTC
Found it. TFTC FekixII. Quick find here today thanks. Great view. Thanks for bringing me here.
Enjoyed the nice view and the convenient spot to sit and sign the log book. Cache container was found quite exposed so covered with a few more rocks. TFTC
This has been on my “to-do” list since it was first released but we’ve always been in a rush and never had the time. So glad to tick it off today with a smilie. I circled several times before focusing on the reward. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
We ran up the hill just on sunset and we were rewarded with a red sky to to the west but in our haste we left our phones in the car, darn no photo. Thanks FelixII all in good order here.
We found this one with micaparamedic while making our way towards Geraldton. On a previous visit we had tried to find this one with no success and it looked like that might be the way again until CrackerGirl spotted a likely location and was rewarded with the logbook duly signed. It’s would be interesting to see one of the big international flights diverted from GZ as it would provide a great view but I think people expecting to see Perth would be a little confused!!
Thanks for the cache Felixll

I suspect an Airbus A380 will not be stopping here, but the airport highlights the need for such infrastructure out in country like this.
Thanks FelixII for placing this cache.

Hi there FelixII.
We found your cache **"Meekatharra International"** today. (This makes our find count 22710).
We cached from Cue to Meekatharra today - and found your cache **"Meekatharra International"** at 2:10:00 PM. (This brings our total find count to 22710). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 9 caches today & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia. Thanks also for placing a large cache here. It made us feel really glad to find a large cache (with swaps) here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

With a few days off work it was time to head north and grab a few more caches to fill in my blank LGAs.
After spending the night at the caravan park we headed up for these couple before continuing our journey east. We drove the camper in as far as we could then decided to walk the last couple of hundred metres up the hill. On the way we crossed another road that we may have been able to take. The cache was an easy find and spotted as I approached but I did expect to have better views of the airport. TFT CRC card. we'll use it next time we pass through.
This was find number 6 for the day.

Ninth day of our 'loop tour' to check out the wildflowers and pick up caches along the route.
Left Sandstone early and headed to Meeka basically for a look around as neither of us had been here before and to pick up the local caches. This was our first when we arrived, cache found in good order. Great kids container with lots of loot. Thanks FelixII

On a big round trip, heading up to my sisters in Newman and then across to Karajini Np, Tom Price and then to my Dad's in Carnarvon, to Shark bay and Monkey Mia, to Gerardton and back though Perth to Mandurah. Tftc.
Hi Felix. Long time no see!!!
Found your cache today after bumping our way in the campervan to within about 100 metres of GZ.
After the quick find of our favourite container type we drove down to the airport where we were lucky enough to watch a RFDS plane come in. No ambulance though so I guess they hadn't been out on an emergency.
Loved the information boards at the airport too. Hard to imagine a 747 landing here. Found Tammy Fraser's comments about Meekatharra amusing too. We were really impressed with this little town.
Thanks.

Found the cache, not very well hidden, but still intact and all good. Have returned to the same spot but with a little more camo! Great views from up here. TFTC
After a lot of planning, geoson Xpert_Cacher and I are off on a camping road trip up north. 8 days of driving, exploring, Geocaching and camping in swags. The plan has us travelling nearly 5000km grabbing plenty of caches and crossing off a pile of LGAs.
Day 3 and we grabbed a couple of caches around Leinster then headed north to Wiluna and across to Meeka, with a plan to camp somewhere south of Newman. We will cross a couple more LGAs today and maybe an earth cache or two.
Nice view. I think the terrain may be a little understated. Thanks for the walk.
FelixII SVKR_WA found your cache Meekatharra International today at 11:31:26 22 Apr 2018.
I am happy to have found it and thank you for placing it and adding to this great game.
This find brings my find count to 2990
Day 9 of my trip from Perth, Exmouth ,port Samson , Newman to Mt Fisher ... Thanks to all the COs for placing caches along my journey ......
Found on a 1 day stop over in Meeka. Made a surprisingly quick find after reading the previous cachers log. had a good look around before leaving. TFTC.
Continuing my trek north to miss the southern winter. Today I moved from the Big Bell ghost town to a spot just south of Kumarina. I picked up several smileys on the way. This one took a bit of getting to, although the bush track was in reasonable condition and got me about half-way. I found the cache (and the GCA cache on the next hill over) at 13:55 this afternoon. Day ten and eleven of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
Day 9 We travelled from Newman to Mount Magnet via Meekatharra, Wiluna, sandstone, cue and many a place in between to pickup a couple of harder to reach LGAs and get numbers up for the trip.
We were lucky enough to pickup four FTFs in Meekatharra that had managed to go unfound for a reasonable time so we nabbed all of them. A nice little stat to add to the list.
We made some large scale detours to Wiluna and Sandstone to pickup two more LGAs that are a little hard to pickup from our Perth homebase.
We racked up over 1000km for the day and finished up grabbing caches along the mount magnet tourist drive by torchlight to end an epic day.
Day ten saw us up at 5am to cleanup the granites series of caches, before making the 600 plus kilometre journey back to our home of Perth.
Overall it's been a huge trip with 200plus caches found, a dozen or so LGAs picked up, 6500km travelled, 11 days of non-stop caching and tourist activities, 6 FTFs, countless containers fixed, logs replaced, pathtags dropped off.
Thanks to all the COs for their caches which made the trip possible.
All in good shape here. Hope your travels are going well Team Felix

A quick find today after having camped for two nights at Peace Gorge, but today we head for Wiluna. The cache and log is in good condition. The walk was awkward for me but at present I have a bad back so anything uphill is awkward. SL. Thanks to FelixII for the cache.
A short drive out of town brought us out to the airport. As we were towing, we stopped and walked in to the cache. Nice walk and nice spot. TFTC
Fine sunny day and a nice drive to the cache , got a few photos the visited the international air port and meteorologic station.
As I headed for the turnoff to the cache,
I passed by the end of RWY 09
Sure looks like a good runway that one
Yep ... 2181 metres long and 30 metres wide.
Plenty of tarmac for landing anything up to B767 size
Bit of a squeeze for a Jumbo jet though, it would have to be a real emergency to land here [:o]
From the road, I drove a short distance in and strolled off up the hill
So beautiful out here in the outback scenery [^]
Lots of bird life out here too !!
And high on the hill,
there were no lonely goat herds ...
... though there was evidence they had been here
And a cache was found
TFTC.
Those with a camper trailer, or off road style caravan, could do worse around these parts for a good campsite for the night
The airport noise certainly won't keep you awake at night

West Australia 2016 trip. Day 8. After a different kind of day yesterday it was a full day of travel. Menzies to Meekathara via Lenora and Willuna. Some very interesting if remote places. A nice walk up here.

Wow, so quiet and peaceful what a great location to place a cache, right in the middle of nowhere. All is well with the cache. Thanks very much Felixll another quality hide.
#2132 - Found by B on a sunny afternoon. Bit of hike through some rough ground but took about 20 minutes to get there and find, as well as enjoy the view. Cycled out here on our rest day. All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour via the highest peak in each State and mainland Territory.

On our way to do the Miners Pathway tho the weather hasn't been crash hot, don't like caching in the rain but the sun is shining today in Meeka after a blustery night
It was raining yesterday when we arrived in town and I couldn't be bothered getting wetter than I already had been earlier so gave caching a miss for the rest of the day
While muggle sat in the car I walked on up to the cache. An easy find and I grabbed one of the CRC cards which was lucky as with it I managed to get 15 mins free wifi , without it I would've had to pay tho they did ask me how many were left
TFTC all good with it
Great views

Nice location of a cache. Nearly got the work bus bogged but all good got her out. All the warnings and still don't listen:) cheers
After a long drive from Newman on our way home, this was a welcome break. We parked in the side road and walked, not liking to take a risk with the caravan. Also had lunch afterwards. The cache was an easy find and great views. TFTC lots of very interesting rocks.
Enjoyed the walk to this one and made a quick find. Took out dome lollies before they could melt everywhere and put in a toy. Good to see a FelixII cache out here Nice views, now off to the next one around the corner, TFTC.
Getting everything logged from my recent trip to Western Australia. The first two weeks were slammed while I was on assignment but I managed to get out every day for a find or two. Got to visit some really remote places like Meekathara and Wiluna and got down to the beaches near Marybrooke and Naturaliste. For the few days I had to myself I hit the Wandoo, the Albany Hwy and the Southwest Hwy Series. So I covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of Western Australia. I had to get used to a lot of things, like driving on the left side of the road, give rather than yield, take away rather than take out and yes with a question mark is asking for conformation. Just goes to show we may speak the same language but words don't always mean the same thing. Sorry for the cut and paste nature of the logs but I have a lot to log and my sanity is important. Thanks to all the locals for the hospitality I was shown while there and thanks to the CO's for the hides, the fun and another smiley on the map. See you on the trail, and cache on!
Got to the top, found the cache and discovered no pen inside so back to the car..... Could the next geocacher bring a spare pen to leave. We didn't because we were down to our last. TFTC
a short walk after driving 4wd and CT all the way to the bottom of the hill. nice view tftc
By hook or by crook, we are the second in the book!! Great spot. If one keeps following the "main" track around the airport, there is a tourist info sign on an RFDS V Kanga incident in 2001!
Woo hoo! FTF!! Our first ever FTF. We are former Meeka residents that left 8 weeks ago, and are back for one day visiting - happy to have a new geocache to find TNLN, TFTC
