Really enjoying this cache series on the ingliston track. Was a quick find for this one, however, we really wish we had something to trade for this one! Maybe next time. TFTC H&C
As I rejoined the 4WD track after finding the previous cache, I began making my way along to this one. I followed the track towards a fence and then down a hill. In the distance ahead, I could see a small body of water, appearing to be a lake/reservoir which I assumed this cache would be hidden near. It looked like a very peaceful spot and I was feeling excited about approaching it. Unfortunately, a few moments later, I came across a sign on the fence saying 'private property'. However, written on the same sign beneath 'private property' were words along the lines of 'enjoy the state park' with arrows pointing either side of it. I was confused as to whether or not these arrows were continuing to point me along the 4WD track into the seemingly private property or just along the fence line instead. I decided I would stay on my side of the fence.
In order to get closer to this cache, I now found myself needing to bush bash down the hill. And so I did. After a few minutes of downhill bush bashing, my GPS was saying the cache was approximately 20 meters away. I put my GPS down and continued walking in a straight line towards where it said the cache was. I rechecked the GPS after a few moments to see how much closer I was to the cache. To my surprise, I was still approximately 20 meters away. Realising my GPS was deciding it wouldn't settle down, I began searching any possible hint objects I could find.
I soon found the track I should have originally followed down here and while it took me much longer than anticipated, I also soon found the cache, neatly slotted in its hiding spot. I extracted the impressively big container to sign the log and was pleased to see the cache and its contents in excellent condition. After signing my name, I placed the cache back in its hiding spot and continued my journey around the park, this time back on the right track!

Playing a little should we shouldn’t we with the rain we decided to take our chances and proceed forthwith caution
Lost the track I'm not sure we're I went wrong but had to freestyle it 120 Meters to this cache..
Came here on a birthday trip out! Some nice nature, a wonderful walk away from people is exactly what we were looking for and that is exactly what we got! We left late this morning though so sadly we didn't get to finish the whole trail. Our GPS was in and out and we were kicking ourselves for not having brought our Garmin, as we had to leave a couple behind because of this.
While we were here the rolling thunder came in, ponchos went on and we waited for the rain to hit. It never really came though, just a little drizzle, for which we were thankful.
Some caches took us longer than we care to admit to find, again we presume due to GPS issues and this slowed us down too. The caches we found were all in good condition though!

A.very early start saw me at Dromaniax place to head for a day at Ingleston Gorge The. Morning tea event at the gorge was the carrot that had us heading for that destination plus a trail of caches to keep us entertained for the remainder of the day. They did that and more as the day turned out to much longer than anticipated, not returning home finally until after dark Here we found the trees had the technology about 12m out but of course we found it TFTC Crack' 'LeeLee

A big group today joined forces to find this big series of caches in the Ingliston Gorge, and to make it to a morning tea event held here today. My car pool group of Chooknchunk, Explorer Nan and myself teamed up with Ozhockeychick and before we had the cache returned Roaming Howie joined in the trek. After the event our group grew with the inclusion of Au Fait, Dromaniax, Mudbrick and CracknLeeLee. We had a great day and the long walk was broken up and forgotten with all the banter and quite a few little rest breaks. The letterbox cache tested our fitness but none of us gave up and everyone was encouraging each other to keep on going. Thx to all the COs for the great hides in a stunning location. Was a little relief that we managed to get the bonus cache found before the rain arrived! Can't wait for the next day like this one.

Met up with a few cachers today for a leisurely group assault on this section of the Gorge.
Just as we were putting the cache back, we heard familiar voices approaching.
Buhfuhguh, SteMicMitSar and the hamfish.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Crack'n'LeeLee ??

The sun is shining and the sky is blue, which is something I didn’t expect this morning! (Not that I expected the sky to be a different colour!). Perfect day for an event in Werribee Gorge State Park and a wander along the tracks for some caches!
The cache was already open and being signed by other cachers when we arrived. I can smell morning tea!
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Initially lured by the 'Morning Tea with a View' event today, and subsequent liaison with the CO and other cachers to complete the Ingliston Gorge circuit, we were blessed by the weather gods with the only day in the week that was relatively pleasant enough to do this hike comfortably. Chook and Explorer Nan got up nice and early to make their way to Ballarat to carpool with Perpetually Lost. Once at the parking coords, we joined up with OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie and off we set on our journey in the steps of Noah's Lark.
We can't match Noah's 'wordsmithery' (or maybe we can!), but we certainly enjoyed his definitions and also the cache location. Met up with buhfuhguh, stemicmitsar and the hamfish as we approached this cache, all ready to have our morning tea break at the next cache.
TFTC to the original COs, g_ordo and mudbrick, and to Crack'n'LeeLee for taking this series on so cachers can continue to enjoy it.

Out and about today for some geocaching shenanigans with Stemicmitsar today. What's on today's agenda, to head on over to the event in Werribee Gorge and do some general caching throughout the day.
Avoiding the predicted showers (until the afternoon).
With 30 odd caches ticked off for me it was a great day out on a okay winters day.
Thanks for the cache and the little adventure

At an event last night, we had a conversation with au.fait, and we decided to travel together to the event in Ingliston Gorge today. It was an early start, leaving St Leonards at 7 am.
We were blessed with excellent weather and arrived at the parking area around 9 am. We hoped to find all the caches in the Gorge today.
Our second last cache before we arrived at the event. We found the coordinates to be excellent and all the caches to be so well maintained. Caching is a pleasure when you have great weather, well-maintained caches and excellent coordinates.
Thank you for this cache GMWG; g_ordo, and Crack'n'LeeLee for adopting and maintaining it.

It's always nice to find a decent sized cache.
Today I had to drive my daughter down to school camp nearby and decided to make a day of caching as it was my day off work. I selected these caches as they looked like a good challenge and I liked how you didn't need to backtrack. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and didn't see a single person all day. I am going to sleep well tonight! Thanks for taking over these caches Crack'n'LeeLee they are fantastic. GMWG; g_ordo you sure know how to place some interesting caches!

Sunday caching plan saw Spiffy, my geopartner and I head out to the Ingilston gorge area for the series of caches. Cloudy and coolish, but the constant up and down hills soon fixed that. We tackled these numerically except for a couple which worked nicely for the clue collecting and kept us on solid paths.
A quick find here as we acknowledge hills were on the way.
Thanks to GMWG; g_ordo - adopted by Crack'n'LeeLee for the placement and fun.

Fleabag- had a new plan today to do this circuit and also the high terrain letterbox for some challenge he was working on. I didn't look at the contour lines on the map and agreed to his plan. Today (the day after) I am still hurting from 1. Climbing up and down and 2. because I am unfit. We also have a bad habit of taking the shortest possible route to each cache. That is a bad idea here on some of these we found out! Oh well, all part of the adventure. The weather was perfect though, about 18 degrees and fully overcast. It was nice out here, bush was not too thick but gee it was dry.
Another vital clue and Fleabag- made up for his previous laziness by finding this one.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

AusFox; was keen to get out for a walk/hike before the start of the school year and the whole back to the grind of work started for the year so when he asked if I was keen I jumped at the chance. I have looked at these cache on the map a number of times but never had the chance to get out and grab some.
What a wonderful spot for a hike and to grab some smiley's as a bonus.
For the second time today AusFox; left his hiking pole behind at this cache needing to return for it. I think he needs to tether it to himself before he loses it for good.
Thank you Crack'nLeeLee for adopting this series for us all to enjoy

WOW! what an amazing walk around Ingilston Gorge circuit with such a variety of hides, sizes and camo along side SimsFamily with perfect weather.
I was surprised not to meet another person on our walk.l for the whole day.
The paths at times were hard to tell apart from animal tracks, but well signed to be able to be able to work our way around without issues.
Log signed and replaced as found

Completed this track with friends on the first weekend out of isolation where we are allowed to exercise together ️
It was so great to get out of our backyard and into the bush!!
It was a beautiful day so we took our time. The meander along the dry creek bed was nice and the Geokids found lots of cool rocks.
Thankful that I downloaded the list before we left as phone reception was poor and the track isn't very well defined. We had to help a few people along the way who couldn't see the track.
Was a bit of a hard slog heading back up hill after weeks of limited exercise lol. The 5kms felt more like 15km!
All in all a very enjoyable day. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot that's so close to home yet we never knew about it!

9 March 2020 not quite an ammo but still found it. Scared a Wallaby up, probably heard us clumping through the bush
Just a little off the path, this one was easily spotted before continuing on. Thanks!
A quick find as I stroll along listening to Wuthering Heights on audio. Some solo time out bush with a book. Perfect day. Tftc
Man waking this loop gets a little intense at some parts. The caches in the series attempted so far have been straight forward (thank you!) and really does make the walk a lot of fun. Got a couple of clues now. We’ll have to come back to do the rest! what a great arvo!
Tftc. Cache is in good condition. Dam also has some water in it. We had to climb the fence for this one from the dam.

Today I headed out with jascat for a couple of events at Pykes Creek, once we were completed there, we then set our sights on the Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge series, the weather was changing all the time but was pressed on through the wind, rain and sunshine.
The ammo part seems to be missing from the Stammo but that didn't stop us from signing the log which is in a nice sized container.
**Thanks to GMWG; g_ordo - adopted by Crack'n'LeeLee for placing this cache.**

A rare day off with hubby and no kids meant we could do a decent hike whilst they were at school. We decided to come here as I haven't tackled any of it so far. What a brilliant morning! Such a beautiful place. A few kangaroos and wallabies around but otherwise we had the place to ourselves. We managed all but a few as I wasn't keen on one of the creek tracks and the letterbox was too hard (exhaustion)! Lol. Generally though it was an easy enough walk with a few tough hills but not too many! We left feeling very pleased and super happy with our efforts - thanks a million.
After teaming up with the McLookers we planned to have a shot at this series, the weather was looking good one minute and very very average the next minute. But that did not stop us, it just meant we needed to pack a jacket.
We really enjoyed the walk around here finding the caches and gathering all the clues, we didn't see much wildlife, we think they were all taking shelter and watching us from a distance laughing at us getting soaked.
This was a very fun series to do, many thanks to gordo, mudbrick and Crack'n'LeeLee.

Continuing the SueHut Werribee Gorge "Date Day". Woo-hoo! The lovely downhill stroll of the first leg turned upward here. Gaspfest! Poor old SueHut had to stop and admire the flowers... several times. Thanks heaps, GMWG!
Started the walk early to get a start .
The series was enjoyed although not all were found as the tracks at times were overgrown and disappeared .
The effort and camo's were appreciated for this series .
A fav point added to number one of the series .

I have been eyeing off this series for some time. My monthly partners in crime, Biggles Bear, had already done it some time ago, so it never was available for a joint effort. So today, being somewhat roughly in the area, I decided to give it a go.

I'll be at the conference all day, she said. You should do something nice, she said.
This walk should be nice, I thought. Loop walks are nice. Warm weather and fresh air are nice.
A meandering walk down to the gorge and along the creek bed , peppered by entertaining hides and amusing containers made this a nice circuit indeed. Never saw another soul.
The day, in the end, got away from me and there were a few outstanding caches unattempted before I needed to turn for home. Always a good excuse to come back for more.
Western Gorges, man.
Thanks and cheers!

Been eyeing off this series of caches for a while now, so we decided to have a go on a glorious ANZAC day. This used to be a great walk for our border collie many moons ago, however we haven't come here for a hike in such a long time.

While travelling with Mutex I’ve found a lot of caches all over Australia. You know, I like the discovering, especially in nature, but am not that much intopcs and internet ..and logging. So we spend a whole day together to indicate all the caches we found together out of his list. Hope you don't mind the standard text aslazy me has to log quitea few now. HopefullyI'm gonnawork on that
Thanks!

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After I've spent a full year in Australia Pfote joined me for my second year down here. We will definitely try to collect a lot of boxes and all the special things in every state all around and through the middle.
Today Pfote, Theatralis and me made a trip to the Gorge State Park to do the Ingliston gorge circuit with this little cache trail.
We found all the boxes we attempted on a beautiful couple of hours walk.

We decided to do the Noahs Lark series today after the rain yesterday made the gorge a doable walk in Summer.
The bush around here is just beautiful, and although it is dry there are a lot of amazing rock formations and spectacular views.
It took about 3 and a half hours and we missed 2 of the series and the letterbox due to time limits.
A fav point for all the caches as they were either crafty or in awesome spots.
Awesome to find one of these out here.

We even saw an echidna at one point!
The cache containers were very cool as well.
Thanks for the series it was such a fun day.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there GMWG. We found your cache "Noah 6 The Stammo" at 9:58:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 12430.

We have been itching to attempt this series for a while, but it has been far too hot recently. Today was the ideal day, the current heat wave seems to have abated. After reading the story on each cache we were really delighted to find all but one of the caches in this novel series , there has obviously been lots of thought and TLC put into each placement.
[Green]Thanks for placing a large cache here. It is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches (without swaps) is increasing. While nanos and eclipse tins sometimes have their place in an urban environment these, along with 200ml Sistemas, seem to be the norm these days even out in more remote areas. It made us feel really glad to find a large, kid friendly cache here.[/Green]
We have given each cache in the series a favourite point for the adventure.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: One Toy.
Left: A smiley badge and a toy car.
Thanks for a great day out
Regards
Ian, Penny and Eden.[font=Verdana]

I'd been trying to escape the house the entire four-ish day weekend, but family and work drama just kept popping up at the most inopportune moments (as they usually do... I defy anyone to suggest an opportune moment). This morning, I was tetchy enough to climb the walls. Well, Ingliston Gorge near enough qualifies.
This is a series that I'd been meaning to tackle since it was published, and especially after the fun I had in Werribee Gorge proper. Now, I must say that this area is not quite as spectacular or rugged, but then again, I'm not as fit as I could be, and it turned out that this was just what I needed to work on my condition, and get some much-needed alone time. And this area still has some great views and lovely trails.
The circuit of caches took me the remaining hours of the afternoon, including the time of some insignificant horse race or another. A very entertaining tale kept me amused, and there were some real gems among the hides. It's well worth the effort just to visit Yoric.
For once, I completed a hike while some (if not much) daylight remained. Thanks for making a great place for a walk even better, GMWG.

Came to the Gorge with a the walking club a few days ago and decided on a quick revisit to do the caches.
Easy find on an overcast & drizzly day. TFTC.
