Had a little chuckle once I had seen the cache. We had a mob of goats protecting the Area where cache was. They moved off not long after so we could make a quick find! TFTC H&C
Helpful hint but cache might be a little uncomfortable for those empathic to animals. Did Rod Quantock have anything to do with this?: David
My walk around the park continued on to this geocache shortly after finding the one hidden near the lookout. The walk to this cache was pretty easy, considering much of it was downhill. As I neared the cache, I soon found an appropriate place to veer off the walking trail and start making my way towards GZ. I soon arrived at GZ and began searching for the cache. I used my GPS to navigate as close as possible to the listed coordinates, which were fortunately very accurate as my GPS had being playing up earlier in the day. After a brief search, I uncovered this very creative (but painful looking lol) cache container from its hiding spot. I extracted the logsheet and got the clue for the mystery before rehiding and continuing on my journey.

Okay so the rain isn’t playing it’s part but thanks cache owner, hints are bang on
That song from Hey Hey, it's Saturday started playing in my head after finding this cache lol... it's not a chicken or a cow....
Came here on a birthday trip out! Some nice nature, a wonderful walk away from people is exactly what we were looking for and that is exactly what we got! We left late this morning though so sadly we didn't get to finish the whole trail. Our GPS was in and out and we were kicking ourselves for not having brought our Garmin, as we had to leave a couple behind because of this.
While we were here the rolling thunder came in, ponchos went on and we waited for the rain to hit. It never really came though, just a little drizzle, for which we were thankful.
Some caches took us longer than we care to admit to find, again we presume due to GPS issues and this slowed us down too. The caches we found were all in good condition though!

After morning tea a brave (or were we merely foolish) group set off to complete the trail Dromaniax and I were joined by Perpetuallylost Explorer Nan, Chook n Chunk, mudbrick, Crack'n,LeeLee, OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie. Great people and a great caching experience led to all caches being found along with all the necessary clues Lots of comraderie and help and encouragement along the way making for a wonderful day. Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches

A big group today joined forces to find this big series of caches in the Ingliston Gorge, and to make it to a morning tea event held here today. My car pool group of Chooknchunk, Explorer Nan and myself teamed up with Ozhockeychick and before we had the cache returned Roaming Howie joined in the trek. After the event our group grew with the inclusion of Au Fait, Dromaniax, Mudbrick and CracknLeeLee. We had a great day and the long walk was broken up and forgotten with all the banter and quite a few little rest breaks. The letterbox cache tested our fitness but none of us gave up and everyone was encouraging each other to keep on going. Thx to all the COs for the great hides in a stunning location. Was a little relief that we managed to get the bonus cache found before the rain arrived! Can't wait for the next day like this one.

Met up with a few cachers today for a leisurely group assault on this section of the Gorge.
Explorer Nan spotted this one as we discussed a roast chicken dinner.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Crack'n'LeeLee

The sun is shining and the sky is blue, which is something I didn’t expect this morning! (Not that I expected the sky to be a different colour!). Perfect day for an event in Werribee Gorge State Park and a wander along the tracks for some caches!
After a great morning tea stop it was off to find the next cache in the series. You wouldn’t want to fall down the side of this path!
Found the cache with OzHockeyChick, chooknchunk, Dromaniax. PerpuallyLost, aufait, explorernan and mudbrick.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Initially lured by the 'Morning Tea with a View' event today, and subsequent liaison with the CO and other cachers to complete the Ingliston Gorge circuit, we were blessed by the weather gods with the only day in the week that was relatively pleasant enough to do this hike comfortably. Chook and Explorer Nan got up nice and early to make their way to Ballarat to carpool with Perpetually Lost. Once at the parking coords, we joined up with OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie and off we set on our journey in the steps of Noah's Lark.
Not sure that Noah had great animal handling skills out here either, however with the placement of this cache, maybe he had to be a little bit clever after all.
TFTC to the original COs, g_ordo and mudbrick, and to Crack'n'LeeLee for taking this series on so cachers can continue to enjoy it.

At an event last night, we had a conversation with au.fait, and we decided to travel together to the event in Ingliston Gorge today. It was an early start, leaving St Leonards at 7 am.
After attending the event, the group that continued on the loop included RoamingHowie, OzHockeyChick, Perpetuallylost, chooknchunk, ExplorerNan, mudbrick, and au.fait, and the COs Crack'n'LeeLee.
The path was interesting, and often it was simpler to follow the dry creek bed.
There were great conversations being had and a feeling of camaraderie.
The caching was a wonderful way of extending the event.
We found this cache nice and quickly.
Thank you for this cache GMWG; mudbrick and Crack'n'LeeLee for adopting and maintaining it.

Today I had to drive my daughter down to school camp nearby and decided to make a day of caching as it was my day off work. I selected these caches as they looked like a good challenge and I liked how you didn't need to backtrack. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and didn't see a single person all day. I am going to sleep well tonight! Thanks for taking over these caches Crack'n'LeeLee they are fantastic. GMWG; g_ordo you sure know how to place some interesting caches!
ah yes, this is a hill alright
given that most of the morning was spent heading downhill or horizontally, it seems now is the time we must recoup that elevation differential
and just as the heat of the day is soaking into the air and the skin
this day was selected for the hike as previous ones were full of work and heat
but it seems that we could not escape either
as any self-respecting physicist will tell you, work and heat go together like hills and sweat
a natural partnership enhanced by the rocky furnace of the gorge
so thanks for the challenge
we are loving the sweat

Sunday caching plan saw Spiffy, my geopartner and I head out to the Ingilston gorge area for the series of caches. Cloudy and coolish, but the constant up and down hills soon fixed that. We tackled these numerically except for a couple which worked nicely for the clue collecting and kept us on solid paths.
No problems at GZ here and a quick find was made. These are well spread out to give a nice break from the trails.
Thanks to GMWG; mudbrick - adopted by Crack'n'LeeLee for the placement and fun.

Fleabag- had a new plan today to do this circuit and also the high terrain letterbox for some challenge he was working on. I didn't look at the contour lines on the map and agreed to his plan. Today (the day after) I am still hurting from 1. Climbing up and down and 2. because I am unfit. We also have a bad habit of taking the shortest possible route to each cache. That is a bad idea here on some of these we found out! Oh well, all part of the adventure. The weather was perfect though, about 18 degrees and fully overcast. It was nice out here, bush was not too thick but gee it was dry.
Ewwww, was a bit freaked out when I took this out of its hiding place. Another vital clue gained.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

AusFox; was keen to get out for a walk/hike before the start of the school year and the whole back to the grind of work started for the year so when he asked if I was keen I jumped at the chance. I have looked at these cache on the map a number of times but never had the chance to get out and grab some.
This was an interesting cache that has seen better days. It would have been nice to see when it was freshly made.
Thank you Crack'nLeeLee for adopting this series for us all to enjoy

WOW! what an amazing walk around Ingilston Gorge circuit with such a variety of hides, sizes and camo along side SimsFamily with perfect weather.
I was surprised not to meet another person on our walk for the whole day.
The paths at times were hard to tell apart from animal tracks, but well signed to be able to be able to work our way around without issues.
We were able to make a quick find here.
Log signed and replaced as found
Thanks for the awesome series Crack’n’LeeLee

Completed this track with friends on the first weekend out of isolation where we are allowed to exercise together ️
It was so great to get out of our backyard and into the bush!!
It was a beautiful day so we took our time. The meander along the dry creek bed was nice and the Geokids found lots of cool rocks.
Thankful that I downloaded the list before we left as phone reception was poor and the track isn't very well defined. We had to help a few people along the way who couldn't see the track.
Was a bit of a hard slog heading back up hill after weeks of limited exercise lol. The 5kms felt more like 15km!
All in all a very enjoyable day. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot that's so close to home yet we never knew about it!

This one took a little longer to locate - I felt I had lost my sense of direction a little on the hillside and the compass on my phone isn't reliable. Finally spotted what looked like a good spot to check and there it was. Poor cache guardian is not as young as it was...
A quick find a but off the track which was actually good because the muggles whose lunch break I crashed were ahead of me and didn’t want to get in their way again. I’m sure I’m going to keep running into them as I get the rest of these caches. A solo determined cacher is a faster weaker than a family with three children (even tho I have a huge pack on)! Tftc

Today I headed out with jascat for a couple of events at Pykes Creek, once we were completed there, we then set our sights on the Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge series, the weather was changing all the time but was pressed on through the wind, rain and sunshine.
This was a funny one as Judith thought twice about grabbing the cache outer camoe, but the log was retrieved and signed.

#5/6 of a day hike throughout the Werribee Gorge I took my japanese friend to. As I walked this part alone, while he was waiting me, I was in rush and couldn't spend much time with the whole serie,so I just did a few caches. Thanks for a nice serie.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 17/11/2017, find number 1201.
I think an animal had been scratching around here...I found the branch that should have been concealing the cache a few metres from the log and the cache unceremoniously dumped out in the open nearby. I don't think the animal would have got what it bargained for if it bit into the cache!
Anyway, there didn't seem to be anything missing and the container and look book are in good nick. Cache replaced more sensibly than I found it! TFTC.

A rare day off with hubby and no kids meant we could do a decent hike whilst they were at school. We decided to come here as I haven't tackled any of it so far. What a brilliant morning! Such a beautiful place. A few kangaroos and wallabies around but otherwise we had the place to ourselves. We managed all but a few as I wasn't keen on one of the creek tracks and the letterbox was too hard (exhaustion)! Lol. Generally though it was an easy enough walk with a few tough hills but not too many! We left feeling very pleased and super happy with our efforts - thanks a million.
After teaming up with the McLookers we planned to have a shot at this series, the weather was looking good one minute and very very average the next minute. But that did not stop us, it just meant we needed to pack a jacket.
We really enjoyed the walk around here finding the caches and gathering all the clues, we didn't see much wildlife, we think they were all taking shelter and watching us from a distance laughing at us getting soaked.
This was a very fun series to do, many thanks to gordo, mudbrick and Crack'n'LeeLee.

Werribee Gorge circuit has been on the bucket list for a while after grabbing No1 some months back. Made the long slow walk around the circuit today in a 4 hour return journey although I missed the last week and the bonus cache. TNLN TFTC GMWG GPS nearly wanted to go past this one but geosense turned to it as the obvious hide. Nice effort.
Continuing the SueHut Werribee Gorge "Date Day". "World of Bushcraft" - the game where you are a small tea-tree trying to bring justice and peace to a war-torn paddock... Thanks heaps, GMWG!
Started the walk early to get a start .
The series was enjoyed although not all were found as the tracks at times were overgrown and disappeared .

I have been eyeing off this series for some time. My monthly partners in crime, Biggles Bear, had already done it some time ago, so it never was available for a joint effort. So today, being somewhat roughly in the area, I decided to give it a go.

I'll be at the conference all day, she said. You should do something nice, she said.
This walk should be nice, I thought. Loop walks are nice. Warm weather and fresh air are nice.
A meandering walk down to the gorge and along the creek bed , peppered by entertaining hides and amusing containers made this a nice circuit indeed. Never saw another soul.
The day, in the end, got away from me and there were a few outstanding caches unattempted before I needed to turn for home. Always a good excuse to come back for more.
Western Gorges, man.
Thanks and cheers!

Been eyeing off this series of caches for a while now, so we decided to have a go on a glorious ANZAC day. This used to be a great walk for our border collie many moons ago, however we haven't come here for a hike in such a long time.

While travelling with Mutex I’ve found a lot of caches all over Australia. You know, I like the discovering, especially in nature, but am not that much intopcs and internet ..and logging. So we spend a whole day together to indicate all the caches we found together out of his list. Hope you don't mind the standard text aslazy me has to log quitea few now. HopefullyI'm gonnawork on that

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After I've spent a full year in Australia Pfote joined me for my second year down here. We will definitely try to collect a lot of boxes and all the special things in every state all around and through the middle.
Today Pfote, Theatralis and me made a trip to the Gorge State Park to do the Ingliston gorge circuit with this little cache trail.
We found all the boxes we attempted on a beautiful couple of hours walk.

We decided to do the Noahs Lark series today after the rain yesterday made the gorge a doable walk in Summer.
The bush around here is just beautiful, and although it is dry there are a lot of amazing rock formations and spectacular views.
It took about 3 and a half hours and we missed 2 of the series and the letterbox due to time limits.
A fav point for all the caches as they were either crafty or in awesome spots.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there GMWG. We found your cache " Noah 8 Bushcraft" at 10:17:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 12432.

We have been itching to attempt this series for a while, but it has been far too hot recently. Today was the ideal day, the current heat wave seems to have abated. After reading the story on each cache we were really delighted to find all but one of the caches in this novel series , there has obviously been lots of thought and TLC put into each placement.
We have given each cache in the series a favourite point for the adventure.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: One Toy.
Left: A smiley badge and a toy car.
Thanks for a great day out

We have been itching to attempt this series for a while, but it has been far too hot recently. Today was the ideal day, the current heat wave seems to have abated. After reading the story on each cache we were really delighted to find all but one of the caches in this novel series , there has obviously been lots of thought and TLC put into each placement.
We have given each cache in the series a favourite point for the adventure.

I'd been trying to escape the house the entire four-ish day weekend, but family and work drama just kept popping up at the most inopportune moments (as they usually do... I defy anyone to suggest an opportune moment). This morning, I was tetchy enough to climb the walls. Well, Ingliston Gorge near enough qualifies.
This is a series that I'd been meaning to tackle since it was published, and especially after the fun I had in Werribee Gorge proper. Now, I must say that this area is not quite as spectacular or rugged, but then again, I'm not as fit as I could be, and it turned out that this was just what I needed to work on my condition, and get some much-needed alone time. And this area still has some great views and lovely trails.
The circuit of caches took me the remaining hours of the afternoon, including the time of some insignificant horse race or another. A very entertaining tale kept me amused, and there were some real gems among the hides. It's well worth the effort just to visit Yoric.
For once, I completed a hike while some (if not much) daylight remained. Thanks for making a great place for a walk even better, GMWG.

Came to the Gorge with a the walking club a few days ago and decided on a quick revisit to do the caches.
Easy find on an overcast & drizzly day. TFTC.

Thanks to the cache owners of the Noah's Lark series, I walked the whole circuit and it was my first ever visit to Ingliston Gorge. I managed to find every cache in the series and had the whole Gorge to myself
Well it certainly seems that someone has choked a chicken here lol. The cache containers certainly have kept us thinking
The container was a big surprise and the best one we saw for far for our walk. We took a couple of photo's of it attacking us before we put it back and went to the next one.
Great cache. Found by Team Justice, MJ & JJ.

Lmao this one gave us a laugh. Love it. Well done. Caching with Smurfy_CH on the last of my holidays. Nice day to be in the Werribee Gorge State Park on a trail of caches . Great job with this trail. Tough going but we did it and I can proudly say I survived it lol Tftc
My second visit to this enjoyable circuit after finding the first three caches in the series last time around with my daughter. I came by myself this time so that I could attempt the more far flung caches in the series. The trail was really interesting with great scenery and wildlife and was very different from most bushwalking trails, without a clearly marked trail. I had to stop and look around on numerous occasions to figure out whether I was actually still on the trail. I'm glad they had those occasional orange arrows to confirm I was still heading in the right directions because the trail wasn't always that easy to re-find after heading off it to find one of the caches.
In all I found thirteen in the series today and couldn't find one before I had head back to the car to make sure I was home in reasonable time. I loved the effort and variety in all the cache containers and hides in this series and the different terrain needing to be covered to get to the hides. I'll have to return one more time to try and finish the rest of the series and the final.
This one took me a while to finally find the hiding spot after circling around a few likely spots. Loved the cache container here once I finally did spot it. Thanks for the cache GMWG.
