Spotted this one from afar! Safe to say our party looking for caches this arvo is almost well and truly stuffed. Hard work but well worth the experience! TFTC H&C
Continuing my walk along the poorly marked trail, I soon arrived at a junction near GZ. Checking my GPS, I was not 100% on which way I should've gone to give me the quickest access to this cache. Do I go over the hill in front of me or continue following the creek? In the end, I was fortunate enough to have made the seemingly correct decision. I managed to locate the cache relatively quickly, admire Noah's dam and then found a little spot nearby to stop and eat my lunch as I was starving. After finishing my lunch, I continued on my geocaching adventure around these trails. I had no issue with the cache and its contents as they were all in good condition.

I was confused about the trail I made my way along the creek bed.. spotted something out of place, put the phone away, and found the cache.
After morning tea a brave (or were we merely foolish) group set off to complete the trail Dromaniax and I were joined by Perpetuallylost Explorer Nan, Chook n Chunk, mudbrick, Crack'n,LeeLee, OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie. Great people and a great caching experience led to all caches being found along with all the necessary clues Lots of comraderie and help and encouragement along the way making for a wonderful day. Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches. TFTC Crack,n'Lee
The sun is shining and the sky is blue, which is something I didn’t expect this morning! (Not that I expected the sky to be a different colour!). Perfect day for an event in Werribee Gorge State Park and a wander along the tracks for some caches!
I clambered up to make this find as we continued the journey along the creek.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

A big group today joined forces to find this big series of caches in the Ingliston Gorge, and to make it to a morning tea event held here today. My car pool group of Chooknchunk, Explorer Nan and myself teamed up with Ozhockeychick and before we had the cache returned Roaming Howie joined in the trek. After the event our group grew with the inclusion of Au Fait, Dromaniax, Mudbrick and CracknLeeLee. We had a great day and the long walk was broken up and forgotten with all the banter and quite a few little rest breaks. The letterbox cache tested our fitness but none of us gave up and everyone was encouraging each other to keep on going. Thx to all the COs for the great hides in a stunning location. Was a little relief that we managed to get the bonus cache found before the rain arrived! Can't wait for the next day like this one.

Initially lured by the 'Morning Tea with a View' event today, and subsequent liaison with the CO and other cachers to complete the Ingliston Gorge circuit, we were blessed by the weather gods with the only day in the week that was relatively pleasant enough to do this hike comfortably. Chook and Explorer Nan got up nice and early to make their way to Ballarat to carpool with Perpetually Lost. Once at the parking coords, we joined up with OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie and off we set on our journey in the steps of Noah's Lark. After the event, our hiking group swelled to include au.fait and Dromaniax, and we were accompanied by the COs (original and adopters) as well. What a wonderful group of people to spend the day with!!
Perpetually Lost was on a roll and found his second cache of the day here. Hopefully no huffing and puffing to blow this cache's house down.
TFTC to the original COs, g_ordo and mudbrick, and to Crack'n'LeeLee for taking this series on so we cachers can continue to enjoy it.

At an event last night, we had a conversation with au.fait, and we decided to travel together to the event in Ingliston Gorge today. It was an early start, leaving St Leonards at 7 am.
After attending the event, the group that continued on the loop included RoamingHowie, OzHockeyChick, Perpetuallylost, chooknchunk, ExplorerNan, mudbrick, and au.fait, and the COs Crack'n'LeeLee.
The path was interesting, and often it was simpler to follow the dry creek bed.
There were great conversations being had and a feeling of camaraderie.
Thank you for this cache GMWG; mudbrick and for adopting and maintaining it Crack'n'LeeLee

Met up with a few cachers today for a leisurely group assault on this section of the Gorge.
RoamingHowie spotted this little stinker, and after a bit of maintenance, it was time to move on.
No swimming here today. The creek is quite dry.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Crack'n'LeeLee

My legs were getting so weary and the cache was way up there. The things I do to get my name added to a little book encased in a plastic container. Up I climbed over rock and tree and I even added some bling to the cute little piggy cache guardian.
the power of water
or the lack thereof
with the creek flowing, this would be a markedly different experience
the riverbed full of water and critters: burbling with life and danger
the flood playing havoc with the hiker
the creek-hopping track cut into short curving slices
rocks imbibed with a slippery sheen
boots and socks on and off and on and soaked through
dodging ripples and rapids like lava
but
with a dry creek bed, there is no need to search for the needle of the track in the haystalks
you can instead:
take the easy pass
and go with the no-flow

Took a bit to get up to the obvious spot. Bit of a clamber with all the fallen trees. Tftc

Fleabag- had a new plan today to do this circuit and also the high terrain letterbox for some challenge he was working on. I didn't look at the contour lines on the map and agreed to his plan. Today (the day after) I am still hurting from 1. Climbing up and down and 2. because I am unfit. We also have a bad habit of taking the shortest possible route to each cache. That is a bad idea here on some of these we found out! Oh well, all part of the adventure. The weather was perfect though, about 18 degrees and fully overcast. It was nice out here, bush was not too thick but gee it was dry.
Back onto the track now and really nice walking through this section of the gorge along the creek. Was a bit concerned with the new tree fallen all around GZ here. All good in the end, GZ was just ok and the find was made.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Sunday caching plan saw Spiffy, my geopartner and I head out to the Ingilston gorge area for the series of caches. Cloudy and coolish, but the constant up and down hills soon fixed that. We tackled these numerically except for a couple which worked nicely for the clue collecting and kept us on solid paths.
Took a few moments here as a tree had fallen closr to GZ. But it turned out not to affect it and we finally saw it and had a laugh. Fav.
Thanks to GMWG; mudbrick - adopted by Crack'n'LeeLee for the placement and fun.

AusFox; was keen to get out for a walk/hike before the start of the school year and the whole back to the grind of work started for the year so when he asked if I was keen I jumped at the chance. I have looked at these cache on the map a number of times but never had the chance to get out and grab some.
What a wonderful spot for a hike and to grab some smiley's as a bonus.
Still folllowing the creek and path before our our accent. I am not really looking forward to the going up part.
Thank you Crack'nLeeLee for adopting this series for us all to enjoy

WOW! what an amazing walk around Ingilston Gorge circuit with such a variety of hides, sizes and camo along side SimsFamily with perfect weather.
I was surprised not to meet another person on our walk for the whole day.
The paths at times were hard to tell apart from animal tracks, but well signed to be able to be able to work our way around without issues.
Log signed and replaced as found
Thanks for the awesome series Crack’n’LeeLee

Amazing track. Loved the views. With the storm rolling in we couldn’t stop for many caches but the ones we did find were very impressive. Thanks for the caches!
Completed this track with friends on the first weekend out of isolation where we are allowed to exercise together ️
It was so great to get out of our backyard and into the bush!!
It was a beautiful day so we took our time. The meander along the dry creek bed was nice and the Geokids found lots of cool rocks.
Thankful that I downloaded the list before we left as phone reception was poor and the track isn't very well defined. We had to help a few people along the way who couldn't see the track.
Was a bit of a hard slog heading back up hill after weeks of limited exercise lol. The 5kms felt more like 15km!
All in all a very enjoyable day. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot that's so close to home yet we never knew about it!

Starting to wear out by this point, but we were able to find this one reasonably quickly. TFTC.
We were running a little behind schedule so I skipped a few of these caches, however this seemed a good one to find regardless. Nice cache location and a nice walk along the almost completely dry creek bed.
As with others, phone batteries were dying by this point. Luckily we had 4 phones between us, but I was the only one who had downloaded the caches ahead of time, and I was down to 1%... Checked out a few possibilities based on the hint and found after a short search. TFTC!
This one took me a while as GPS was bouncing like crazy. Nope. Nope. Nope. Made way up a tree. Eep! Dodgy tree. Next thing I know muggles who I keep crossing paths with rounded the corner and spotted me up the tree. They must be wondering what the hell im doing out here! They wandered on. I had some lunch. Common sense then prevailed and I made an easy find. Maybe I was just hungry haha. Tftc

Today I headed out with jascat for a couple of events at Pykes Creek, once we were completed there, we then set our sights on the Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge series, the weather was changing all the time but was pressed on through the wind, rain and sunshine.
Another tree that is grown rocks, funny about that and sure enough thats where the cache is.

Lid is cracked and water is getting in, notebook is a bit moldy and could use a new bag. Positioned it as best I could to protect it
As we read the cache notes on our approach we were grateful for the hint which simplified our direction rather than taking on a bush bash as indicated by our GPS. Not much water left over here today. TFTC

A rare day off with hubby and no kids meant we could do a decent hike whilst they were at school. We decided to come here as I haven't tackled any of it so far. What a brilliant morning! Such a beautiful place. A few kangaroos and wallabies around but otherwise we had the place to ourselves. We managed all but a few as I wasn't keen on one of the creek tracks and the letterbox was too hard (exhaustion)! Lol. Generally though it was an easy enough walk with a few tough hills but not too many! We left feeling very pleased and super happy with our efforts - thanks a million.
After teaming up with the McLookers we planned to have a shot at this series, the weather was looking good one minute and very very average the next minute. But that did not stop us, it just meant we needed to pack a jacket.
We really enjoyed the walk around here finding the caches and gathering all the clues, we didn't see much wildlife, we think they were all taking shelter and watching us from a distance laughing at us getting soaked.
This was a very fun series to do, many thanks to gordo, mudbrick and Crack'n'LeeLee.

The hint was spot on as were the co-ords. This made for a quick find.
Caching the Ingliston Gorge today with The Tritonz, it was misty rain on the drive there. On and off during our trek there were a few showers. That meant on and off with the coat as the sun came out between. In all, our walk was 4 hours and a lovely way to see this very picturesque area. Thanks to gordo, mudbrick and Crack'n'LeeLee.

Werribee Gorge circuit has been on the bucket list for a while after grabbing No1 some months back. Made the long slow walk around the circuit today in a 4 hour return journey although I missed the last week and the bonus cache. TNLN TFTC GMWG Quicker find than I was ready for because I spotted the hide rounding in at the right angle.
Continuing the SueHut Werribee Gorge "Date Day". This was actually our last one for the day - we were running out of time (kids had to be picked up from school). We hunted briefly for #17, but couldn't spend too much time on it, as we still had to get back to Geelong. Thanks heaps for the series, GMWG! Take a FP! As someone somewhere said for some reason: "We will return!"
Yay! My 600yh cache. And another cute if tricky find. Ran out of time to finish the series as we have to get the kids from school. A favourite point for the series though. Bush walks and lots of big caches with trades makes this cacher happy. Well done
A quick find at 13:20 that allowed us to survey the situation before another creek crossing.

I have been eyeing off this series for some time. My monthly partners in crime, Biggles Bear, had already done it some time ago, so it never was available for a joint effort. So today, being somewhat roughly in the area, I decided to give it a go. Needed the clue to find this one.
My thanks to GMWG & mudbrick for the cache.

I'll be at the conference all day, she said. You should do something nice, she said.
This walk should be nice, I thought. Loop walks are nice. Warm weather and fresh air are nice.
A meandering walk down to the gorge and along the creek bed , peppered by entertaining hides and amusing containers made this a nice circuit indeed. Never saw another soul.
The day, in the end, got away from me and there were a few outstanding caches unattempted before I needed to turn for home. Always a good excuse to come back for more.
Western Gorges, man.
Thanks and cheers!

Been eyeing off this series of caches for a while now, so we decided to have a go on a glorious ANZAC day. This used to be a great walk for our border collie many moons ago, however we haven't come here for a hike in such a long time.

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After I've spent a full year in Australia Pfote joined me for my second year down here. We will definitely try to collect a lot of boxes and all the special things in every state all around and through the middle.
Today Pfote, Theatralis and me made a trip to the Gorge State Park to do the Ingliston gorge circuit with this little cache trail.
We found all the boxes we attempted on a beautiful couple of hours walk.
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

We decided to do the Noahs Lark series today after the rain yesterday made the gorge a doable walk in Summer.
The bush around here is just beautiful, and although it is dry there are a lot of amazing rock formations and spectacular views.
It took about 3 and a half hours and we missed 2 of the series and the letterbox due to time limits.
A fav point for all the caches as they were either crafty or in awesome spots.

I loved the walk around here.

We even saw an echidna at one point!
The cache containers were very cool as well.
Thanks for the series it was such a fun day.

Hi there GMWG. We found your cache " Noah 16 The Pinch" at 12:04:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 12439.

We have been itching to attempt this series for a while, but it has been far too hot recently. Today was the ideal day, the current heat wave seems to have abated. After reading the story on each cache we were really delighted to find all but one of the caches in this novel series , there has obviously been lots of thought and TLC put into each placement.
We have given each cache in the series a favourite point for the adventure.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 20m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: One Toy.
Left: A smiley badge and a toy car.
Thanks for a great day out
Regards
Ian, Penny and Eden.

I'd been trying to escape the house the entire four-ish day weekend, but family and work drama just kept popping up at the most inopportune moments (as they usually do... I defy anyone to suggest an opportune moment). This morning, I was tetchy enough to climb the walls. Well, Ingliston Gorge near enough qualifies.
This is a series that I'd been meaning to tackle since it was published, and especially after the fun I had in Werribee Gorge proper. Now, I must say that this area is not quite as spectacular or rugged, but then again, I'm not as fit as I could be, and it turned out that this was just what I needed to work on my condition, and get some much-needed alone time. And this area still has some great views and lovely trails.
The circuit of caches took me the remaining hours of the afternoon, including the time of some insignificant horse race or another. A very entertaining tale kept me amused, and there were some real gems among the hides. It's well worth the effort just to visit Yoric.
For once, I completed a hike while some (if not much) daylight remained. Thanks for making a great place for a walk even better, GMWG.

Came to the Gorge with a the walking club a few days ago and decided on a quick revisit to do the caches.
Easy find on an overcast & drizzly day. TFTC.

Walking along the path when Mippy05 and Kenbryl point and say it`s there, sure enough it was. Tftc
Thanks to the cache owners of the Noah's Lark series, I walked the whole circuit and it was my first ever visit to Ingliston Gorge. I managed to find every cache in the series and had the whole Gorge to myself
We knew the end was near each cache just kept on going waiting to see what was next
This was the point I think we got the last letter needed and my son started to think he had enough. A bit of encouragement we continued on to get the last few.

Goody this one was a quick find after the last one.

Whacked my head on the stump while going to get this. Was busy looking where my feet were going lol All good, got a hard head. Nice hide. Caching with Smurfy_CH on the last of my holidays. Nice day to be in the Werribee Gorge State Park on a trail of caches . Great job with this trail. Tough going but we did it and I can proudly say I survived it lol Tftc
My second visit to this enjoyable circuit after finding the first three caches in the series last time around with my daughter. I came by myself this time so that I could attempt the more far flung caches in the series. The trail was really interesting with great scenery and wildlife and was very different from most bushwalking trails, without a clearly marked trail. I had to stop and look around on numerous occasions to figure out whether I was actually still on the trail. I'm glad they had those occasional orange arrows to confirm I was still heading in the right directions because the trail wasn't always that easy to re-find after heading off it to find one of the caches.
In all I found thirteen in the series today and couldn't find one before I had head back to the car to make sure I was home in reasonable time. I loved the effort and variety in all the cache containers and hides in this series and the different terrain needing to be covered to get to the hides. I'll have to return one more time to try and finish the rest of the series and the final.
Spotted the likely hiding spot from the creek bed here and after climbing up was soon signing the log and enjoying the view. Nice hiding spot and cache guardian. Thanks for the cache GMWG.

As usual, found the harder way to reach this one, good position,
Still enjoying the walk in this gorge, still no one around
Thanks

The tree may have been 'perched', but the cache guardian could hardly be accused of that. More like squatting. Thanks again!

What a day to be out and about gathering caches, the sun is shining with a slight breeze,
Found the cache and soon had the log signed and placed back,
A great location that will no doubt test our endurance.

Chewin' and I traveled to Bacchus Marsh to tackle the Noah's Lark series today. A really nice day for it, started a bit windy, but an excellent temperature for a walk in the gorge. A great collection of hides and cache containers. Neither of us had done the loop walk in this park. It took us about 4 hours to walk that included the Letterbox cache.
After lunch in the Marsh we did a few local caches to round off the day.
This little piggy went.... caching?
Still making our way along the river bed, this one was well away from any water.
Thanks, Robmc.
