We are sorry to be archiving this cache but due to health reason we are unable to maintain the cache to our expected standard. Happy caching around Melton.
After dinner at the nearby Mac's Hotel, a quiet stroll was in order to walk off the excess calories consumed. A nice quick find.

With a day off with the geo family, we decided to get out of the house for a few hours and enjoy a few things in and around Melton. It has been a while since I was up here last. I parked around the wrong side here and forgot to grab my toolkit from the geo wheels as i made the find here after about 5 minutes. There was a few places i thought of first as the GPSr had me but this one was about 6-7 meters from where I was wanted. Stamped and replaced as found.

While waiting for diner a scan of the area showed this was close and not a D1.5/T1.5 so we over. The muggle count was very low and after getting into the right position the hid was soon found. We added out initials and re hid. TFTC.
In town today for a family function. running early so parked nearby and found a quick find on an afternoon with no one about.
First Melton cache for me, cheers!

After spending three days in Melbourne seeing relatives for Christmas, then attending the nearby Intervening Days event on the way home, we targeted three caches in the township of Melton before we headed back up the highway.
We found this little devil in a logical location, but our GPS co-ords showed a 10 metre difference to the posted co-ords. We have noted that some previous cachers this month had found the cache on the ground so had put it where they thought it belonged, so it could be worth a check by the CO to make sure it is where you intended. (CO please msg us if it is not where you left it and want to know where we found it). There was a massive Sudanese community function here today but they were all inside and out of line of sight of what we were up to. A bit of light rain kept any other muggles away.

Find No. 1623. Found with FUF009 at 3.18pm.
Down in Melton for the Intervening Days IX Event and before heading home we grabbed a few caches and this was one of them.
It it really 12 months ago since we came looking for this one and had to walk away with a DNF? We discovered later by the CO's that it had gone walking and they had to replace it. Well this time we made another visit (as we knew it was back) and it was Mr Tyred n Cranky that found it.

In Melton today to attend the local Intervening Event to catch up with our caching buddies in this festive season. After saying our farewells it was off to grab some caches in between the light showers ofannoying rain. Using the satellite on our phones showed this cache at least 10 metres away but we found it in the logical spot especially as the hint clearly states not in garden beds.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for the placement.

Today was a planned day of geocaching fun with JeckleberryandTedd and Tinker Traveller, although I am still tired from the MEGA. We signed the logs as Team SCREECH!
I was so tired that I left my lunch on the kitchen bench. Luckily Tinker (our driver for today) drove in to Melton township so that I could buy some lunch. This also allowed us to do some town caches. In the hopes of finding some public conveniences we stopped here. We found the cache lying on the ground but replaced it to a suitable spot.

Today I am out with Jeckleberrryandtedd and cathlud exploring the area south west of Melton. We signed as Team "Screech" reminiscent of the frequent sound coming from our car tyres as we neared each GZ. Unfortunately cathlud had left her lunch on her kitchen bench, so we had to head to town in search of food for her. It gave us the opportunity to find a few town caches.
The Council Horticulture team was rather busy nearby preparing a new garden bed. The smell was terrible (dynamic lifter??) but they proved rather uninterested in our ventures so we found the cache with ease. Thanks The_2_Wanderers for this placement.

Out with Cathlud and TinkerTraveller for a day's caching adventure over this side of town. Signed as Screech!
Cathlud had left her lunch on her kitchen bench so we had to leave the country roads behind us and head into civilisation to ensure that she did not get hangry. We decided that we may as well squeeze in a few caches in Melton before heading back to school pick up.
We were being watched over by muggles doing their bit for horticulture. The search was made easier as sadly this cache was sitting exposed on the ground, so we could just sit down and relax without looking too obvious. Cache was returned to where we felt it may have been previously hidden.

Not a soul in sight. The streets were deserted this afternoon. Excellent time to go geocaching. Tftc!
Today I went out and cleaned out all the caches I haven't done around the Melton area. There were a few people around lucky for me I felt it while waiting for them to leave.
GPSr was putting me in middle of lawn area today, or at the edge of concrete path, clearly not in those places so DNF for me will have to come back another day with fresh batteries and mind, still a nice bit of historic building at the rear of old offices, Thanks for bringing me here The 2 Wanderers
Found while heading home to Ballarat after taking a family member to Melbourne for treatment at the hospital, we decided to stop and have a late lunch and see if we can add a smile or two, the youngest member of our team was quick to make the find, it was signed and replaced with no one around, TFTC
This is extra tiny! New version of a cache! Absolutely love it!
Does however need a new log!
Does however need a new log!
that took a while till i looked at previous logs and photos. didnt take long after that so tiny seen a lot this small they are hard to spot
Thanks to a worker inside for letting me know I wasn't even close. Would of never found it. Tricky hide.
Was called in for help by mad hatter. Found quick quick once I didn't listen to where they had been. Good hide nice and sneaky. Smallest nano I have seen todate. TFTC
Found this one earlier in the week but bit slack in logging it. Despite getting dark it was found easily as figured out what we'd be looking for
Wowsers!!! I've never seen one so small! And yeah I also tried the drain pipe, which would also be an awesome hiding spot!
Found it (on 4th search). Thanks for the cache The 2 Wanderers. This is a very relaxing spot. In today's busy world of trying to find micro caches it's a good idea to take a break and sit down on one of those benches and watch the world go. The cache is in good condition. I'd recommend a new log, and maybe a tool to get it out of the cache? SL.
Roadworks helped for a muggle free experience. Once I sat down and surveyed the area, a quick and easy find. Tftc.

I was getting my car serviced in Melton today and like last time, I took the opportunity to find a few of the local caches. The weather was as good as last time with drizzle most of the morning, but I was determined to find all the DNF's from last trip!
After finding the remaining Killarney caches that I couldn't find last time, I walked to the shopping centre for lunch and to kill some time. Returning later in the afternoon I dropped past here to have another look for this one.
I recall an extensive search for this one last time I was here, to no avail. I knew what I was looking for thanks to the hint, and this time the GPS lead me to a slightly different spot so I took a seat to ponder hiding positions. I few quick searches between passing muggles and I spotted the little sucker. TFTC!

My most vivid memory from these council buildings was donating blood and then fainting, when the mobile blood bank was in town. Turns out I was in the very early stages of being pregnant with eldest geokid. They gave me a teddy, which geokid now proudly owns; and I shared this story with him here today.
This cheeky hide took longer than it should've to locate. Luckily there were some lush lawns and beautiful flowers nearby to entertain youngest geokid.
TNLNSL returned as found. TFTC

Nice find. Took a tad bit of time fue to the cloud coverage but nice venue overall
It took longer to put the log back in than finding it! TFTC it truly is the curse
12:59, 30 December 2015. #307. After the disappointment of not finding this one on Sunday and seeing that The 2 Wanderers had gone to the trouble of re-setting it I figured I had to expunge the DNF. Knowing where it should be and knowing that it had been recently replaced I thought it would be a quick and simple find. It was - I had more trouble getting the log out, then even more trouble getting the log back in than I did finding the hide. I was also a little surprised to see that two others had signed the log before me, so a couple of really quick finds between the replacement and my visit. Now I need to find the time to hunt for more Wanderers' hides in Melton.
Thanks for the quick replacement of this one The 2 Wanderers.
Thanks for the quick replacement of this one The 2 Wanderers.
my apologies to those who did not find this cache but between us checking it and the event it went AWOL. IT IS NOW BACK IN PLACE AND READY TO FIND AGAIN.
Passing through for the event while on the way to Warrnambool, so will take the opportuity to grab a cache or 2. Attended the neaby event then tried to find this sneaky little fella. It was no where to be found. It was later in the day, that we knew it had been replaced when the hide was located and log signed.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Well we looked and looked and guessed we were looking in the wrong spot as we just couldn't find it anywhere.
Later on when we checked the page we realised that the cache had gone missing through other cachers logs. This made us feel better as it wasn't just us that couldn't find it.
Next time we are in Melton this will be on our hit list to do.
TFTC placement 'The 2 Wanderers' Next time we hope we have better luck.

But could not locate, looks like I will have to come back to the event next year,
And try again.

After attending Intervening Days V III, I thought another by The 2 Wanderers would make a good wrap up for the day, but not to be today. I can't say I wasn't warned as there was a bunch of other cachers chatting at GZ, some of whom had previously found this one.
I still had a look in case some mischievous soul had moved it, but no joy today.
Thanks Wanderers for the event and this hide, even if it didn't seem to be here today.

Well. Has been quite hard. Spent about 15 mins checking the usual haunts and combing over and under everything.... then fot muggled out by a person coming out for lunch... will have to try another day.
Had a really long look and failed badly earlier today so we decided to do a cache around the corner. When we came back still were struggling until we discussed some previous logs. Then bam I spotted it. Caching partner today was Neville_Devil
Called through Melton on our way to Melbourne this afternoon to pick up a couple of caches. While there were a few muggles around, no-one was looking at us. I took a seat and Tomstache had the tricky little hide in hand quite quickly. Thanks to The 2 Wanderers for giving us a reason to stop on this beautiful afternoon. The gardens here are beautifully maintained, it was a pleasure to enjoy them.
Thanks to The 2 Wanderers for this cache. It was a lovely day today, the gardens are looking good. I made the find quickly while McLookers was relaxing. Found on our way to Melbourne.
Geocaching with charlotteburnside today - eighth find for the day!
This one took us AGES. It was super hot, and our GPS was leading us into a corner where we spent way too long searching for something that wasn't there. We were just about ready to give up and were super tired so did what you generally do when that happens, and then realised where it was. Very sneaky, and definitely a micro! Not too many people around luckily, but looked pretty suspicious snooping around drains and pipes, FYI you don't need to unscrew anything! Oops!

Geocaching with MissMolly22. This one took us a ridiculously long time to find, mainly because our GPS were leading us into different places. Cache was very very small and hidden very well. It was a relief to finally find it.
Found ages ago, sorry for my delayed log.
It has been in suspend in the old app and that's only got a couple of days left to live.
Trying to catch up on all my finds.
Thanks for bringing me here.

We found this cache today at 3:00pm as number 3 of 23 on our Melton Intervening Days Tour. After struggling on a couple of previous caches, we were happy to find this one at the first place that we checked. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
on a visit from Geelong with alchey. Bit of a search after waiting for right muggle free moment and alchey came up with the goods. Nice and quiet at 11pm. Tftc.
Out on a day/night of caching with Geordiefamily around Melton to add smileys to the map.
As there was a function on inside we had to wait out two muggles inside. Once they left we could search a lot easier and found the cache.
Thanks for the Cache The 2 Wanderers
