Very sneaky hiding spot! After a quick initial search around the trees rocks and logs we began to start thinking outside of the box and found cache not long after. Gorgeous walk! TFTC H&C
This was the ninth and final cache I found during my walk around this gorge today. I set off from the carpark at the entrance with the intention of finding as many caches as I possibly could. I departed my vehicle just prior to 1pm and began my geocaching adventure. I was successful in finding every cache I attempted to search for today, although some were certainly more difficult than others.
I arrived at GZ after a brief stroll down the trail from my previous find. As I neared GZ, my GPS (which had been playing up earlier in the day) decided to guide me in a different direction to the cache. I found myself basically walking around in circles. Eventually, my GPS decided to settle and it began providing me with a relatively decent position and accuracy. Now that I was confident the cache was close by, I got to searching. I was unsuccessful in finding the geocache during my initial search. There were many possible hiding locations but unfortunately, none of them yielded the cache to me. I re-read the description and continued searching, still unable to find it. After a second round of unsuccessful searching, I momentarily paused the hunt and began scanning my surroundings. It was during this scan that I took note of an object of interest. I re-read the cache description again and then, at that very moment, my two braincells activated. The description suddenly made sense to me and I was very confident I knew where this cache was hiding. I hurriedly made my way over to my object of interest and I was very pleased to see the cache there. It took me much longer to find than I would like to admit, especially since I had searched very close to this area during my initial hunt. I opened the cache and signed the logbook as well as acquire the hint for the mystery cache, all of which was in good condition. After signing, I placed the cache back in its hiding spot. By time I replaced this cache, it was about 3pm in the afternoon. The sun, while still in the sky, was starting to get low. I continued to venture down the valley in an attempt to locate the geocaches hidden down there, but decided with the dying light, it would be best to turn around and make my way back to my car.
Many thanks to the CO for placing these geocaches around this park. I had a fantastic time wondering around this discovering this area which is new to me, and finding the geocaches hidden within. I will certainly be returning in the near future to finish this series off!

Falling before getting to GZ is not a great start... walking in circles is not great either. Read the hint and ahh
That moment the penny drops to where the cache is Aye ya matey if I must walk the plank, I shall conquer my fears and find that cache.
10 minutes later that moment you notice you've forgotten your pole at this cache, Doh..

Came here on a birthday trip out! Some nice nature, a wonderful walk away from people is exactly what we were looking for and that is exactly what we got! We left late this morning though so sadly we didn't get to finish the whole trail. Our GPS was in and out and we were kicking ourselves for not having brought our Garmin, as we had to leave a couple behind because of this.
While we were here the rolling thunder came in, ponchos went on and we waited for the rain to hit. It never really came though, just a little drizzle, for which we were thankful.
Some caches took us longer than we care to admit to find, again we presume due to GPS issues and this slowed us down too. The caches we found were all in good condition though!

After morning tea a brave (or were we merely foolish) group set off to complete the trail Dromaniax and I were joined by Perpetuallylost Explorer Nan, Chook n Chunk, mudbrick, Crack'n,LeeLee, OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie. Great people and a great caching experience led to all caches being found along with all the necessary clues Lots of comraderie and help and encouragement along the way making for a wonderful day. The height of Roaming Howie was useful here Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches. TFTC Crack'n'LeeLee

A big group today joined forces to find this big series of caches in the Ingliston Gorge, and to make it to a morning tea event held here today. My car pool group of Chooknchunk, Explorer Nan and myself teamed up with Ozhockeychick and before we had the cache returned Roaming Howie joined in the trek. After the event our group grew with the inclusion of Au Fait, Dromaniax, Mudbrick and CracknLeeLee. We had a great day and the long walk was broken up and forgotten with all the banter and quite a few little rest breaks. The letterbox cache tested our fitness but none of us gave up and everyone was encouraging each other to keep on going. Thx to all the COs for the great hides in a stunning location. Was a little relief that we managed to get the bonus cache found before the rain arrived! Can't wait for the next day like this one.

The sun is shining and the sky is blue, which is something I didn’t expect this morning! (Not that I expected the sky to be a different colour!). Perfect day for an event in Werribee Gorge State Park and a wander along the tracks for some caches!
We met up with the CO on the way to the next cache. I was made to walk the plank here and retrieved the cache before this band of misfits continued on to the next cache.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Initially lured by the 'Morning Tea with a View' event today, and subsequent liaison with the CO and other cachers to complete the Ingliston Gorge circuit, we were blessed by the weather gods with the only day in the week that was relatively pleasant enough to do this hike comfortably. Chook and Explorer Nan got up nice and early to make their way to Ballarat to carpool with Perpetually Lost. Once at the parking coords, we joined up with OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie and off we set on our journey in the steps of Noah's Lark.
We thought that Roaming Howie deserved to walk the plank here LOL. After the fabulous event up the track, our hiking group had now swelled to include au.fait and Dromaniax, and we were accompanied by the COs (original and adopters) as well. What a wonderful group of people to spend the day with!!
TFTC to the original COs, g_ordo and mudbrick, and to Crack'n'LeeLee for taking this series on so we cachers can continue to enjoy it.

At an event last night, we had a conversation with au.fait, and we decided to travel together to the event in Ingliston Gorge today. It was an early start, leaving St Leonards at 7 am.
After attending the event, the group that continued on the loop included RoamingHowie, OzHockeyChick, Perpetuallylost, chooknchunk, ExplorerNan, mudbrick, and au.fait, and the COs Crack'n'LeeLee.
The path was interesting, and often it was simpler to follow the dry creek bed.
There were great conversations being had and a feeling of camaraderie.
The bush in this area is beautiful.
Thank you for this cache GMWG; g_ordo and for adopting and maintaining this cache Crack'n'LeeLee

I was lost for a bit but after a bit of pirating around and walking the plank the cache was discovered! Today I had to drive my daughter down to school camp nearby and decided to make a day of caching as it was my day off work. I selected these caches as they looked like a good challenge and I liked how you didn't need to backtrack. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and didn't see a single person all day. I am going to sleep well tonight! Thanks for taking over these caches Crack'n'LeeLee they are fantastic. GMWG; g_ordo you sure know how to place some interesting caches!
this is a strange land
you always go into walks in new forests anticipating new experiences:
new trees
new rocks
new views
but this is a new land altogether
some curious power has had its way with this bush
here the forest is full of not just tracks but thoroughfares
somehow some great mythical beast can rumble and thunder through the undergrowth when there is no undergrowth
here the birds don’t fly but instead walk casually up vertical tree trunks
each clump of fallen branches hosts a thick cloud of butterflies
whatever has happened to this forest, we don’t know
but these are some sights to see

Sunday caching plan saw Spiffy, my geopartner and I head out to the Ingilston gorge area for the series of caches. Cloudy and coolish, but the constant up and down hills soon fixed that. We tackled these numerically except for a couple which worked nicely for the clue collecting and kept us on solid paths...
And walk the plank I did for a quick find.
Thanks to GMWG; g_ordo - adopted by Crack'n'LeeLee for the placement and fun.

Fleabag- had a new plan today to do this circuit and also the high terrain letterbox for some challenge he was working on. I didn't look at the contour lines on the map and agreed to his plan. Today (the day after) I am still hurting from 1. Climbing up and down and 2. because I am unfit. We also have a bad habit of taking the shortest possible route to each cache. That is a bad idea here on some of these we found out! Oh well, all part of the adventure. The weather was perfect though, about 18 degrees and fully overcast. It was nice out here, bush was not too thick but gee it was dry.
Fleabag- was Mr Dangerous here on the plank. Another vital clue found before we stupidly headed off directly for the ones furthest away so we didn't have to backtrack.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

AusFox; was keen to get out for a walk/hike before the start of the school year and the whole back to the grind of work started for the year so when he asked if I was keen I jumped at the chance. I have looked at these cache on the map a number of times but never had the chance to get out and grab some.
What a wonderful spot for a hike and to grab some smiley's as a bonus.
Our decent has well and truly started no. the further we go the more we have to trek back up. I am not sure my legs and body are going too be happy with me later
Thank you Crack'nLeeLee for adopting this series for us all to enjoy

WOW! what an amazing walk around Ingilston Gorge circuit with such a variety of hides, sizes and camo along side SimsFamily with perfect weather.
I was surprised not to meet another person on our walk for the whole day.
The paths at times were hard to tell apart from animal tracks, but well signed to be able to be able to work our way around without issues.
A bit of monkeying around was required here.
Log signed and replaced as found
Thanks for the awesome series Crack’n’LeeLee

Completed this track with friends on the first weekend out of isolation where we are allowed to exercise together ️
It was so great to get out of our backyard and into the bush!!
It was a beautiful day so we took our time. The meander along the dry creek bed was nice and the Geokids found lots of cool rocks.
Thankful that I downloaded the list before we left as phone reception was poor and the track isn't very well defined. We had to help a few people along the way who couldn't see the track.
Was a bit of a hard slog heading back up hill after weeks of limited exercise lol. The 5kms felt more like 15km!
All in all a very enjoyable day. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot that's so close to home yet we never knew about it!

9 March 2020 took some finding but after reading other logs, looked at things differently. Almost 60 but still enjoy a climb
This one was a little bit more fun with retrieval. My brother pointed it out as the probable location, and there it was. Thanks for the cache.
A nice little climb! Favourite cache of the day so far and has taught me I can climb with 20kg on my back haha! Couldn’t be bothered putting the pack down. Onwards. Tftc. FP from me.
Tftc luckily I had my young niece to get the log lol. She says I guess I'm going to have to climb. I said yes one way.

Today I headed out with jascat for a couple of events at Pykes Creek, once we were completed there, we then set our sights on the Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge series, the weather was changing all the time but was pressed on through the wind, rain and sunshine.
we were walking in circles looking for this one until Judith had a change in perspective and the cache was found shortly after.
Once again If the cache page had been read it would of saved a bit of time as the description gives a pretty good hint.

The kids loved this find. Nothing better than having to clamber and climb. Tftc!
We like pirate stories too. Our first geocoins we sent off were pirate themed but they were plundered by some scalleywag cachers in in USA. We didn't mind walking the plank today but wished for some icy cold water to plunge into. TFTC

Beautiful weather meant I could bring the brother down to explore some Bacchus Marsh trails. Picked up just this one today as most others previously found
A rare day off with hubby and no kids meant we could do a decent hike whilst they were at school. We decided to come here as I haven't tackled any of it so far. What a brilliant morning! Such a beautiful place. A few kangaroos and wallabies around but otherwise we had the place to ourselves. We managed all but a few as I wasn't keen on one of the creek tracks and the letterbox was too hard (exhaustion)! Lol. Generally though it was an easy enough walk with a few tough hills but not too many! We left feeling very pleased and super happy with our efforts - thanks a million.
After teaming up with the McLookers we planned to have a shot at this series, the weather was looking good one minute and very very average the next minute. But that did not stop us, it just meant we needed to pack a jacket.
We really enjoyed the walk around here finding the caches and gathering all the clues, we didn't see much wildlife, we think they were all taking shelter and watching us from a distance laughing at us getting soaked.
This was a very fun series to do, many thanks to gordo, mudbrick and Crack'n'LeeLee.

Werribee Gorge circuit has been on the bucket list for a while after grabbing No1 some months back. Made the long slow walk around the circuit today in a 4 hour return journey although I missed the last week and the bonus cache. Continuing the SueHut Werribee Gorge "Date Day". We waited quite a while here to see if Peter Pan or Tinkerbell would turn up. Sorely disappointed. Although, it's true I turned into a "lost boy" for the next couple of caches... Thanks heaps, GMWG!

spent about 20min looking for this one. I didn't read the description. It may have helped. I looked everywhere in the GZ and nearly gave up until I looked in the one spot that I thought it wouldn't be.
Still developing our new Geo-senses. Another great hide. TFTC.
2.3 hours elapsed. From here I went directly to Gorge 12. the terrain was difficult but it saved back tracking later on.

I have been eyeing off this series for some time. My monthly partners in crime, Biggles Bear, had already done it some time ago, so it never was available for a joint effort. So today, being somewhat roughly in the area, I decided to give it a go. This one took a little time. I thought my GPS was playing up again, but after expanding my search, I returned to my first look and found it.

This walk should be nice, I thought. Loop walks are nice. Warm weather and fresh air are nice.
A meandering walk down to the gorge and along the creek bed , peppered by entertaining hides and amusing containers made this a nice circuit indeed. Never saw another soul.
I really enjoyed this one - a little more exertion involved. A favourite.
The day, in the end, got away from me and there were a few outstanding caches unattempted before I needed to turn for home. Always a good excuse to come back for more.

Thanks and cheers!

Western Gorges, man.
Thanks and cheers!
Been eyeing off this series of caches for a while now, so we decided to have a go on a glorious ANZAC day. This used to be a great walk for our border collie many moons ago, however we haven't come here for a hike in such a long time.
Many thanks for a great series, a great mixture of well constructed hides. Cache in good condition. TNLN

While travelling with Mutex I’ve found a lot of caches all over Australia. You know, I like the discovering, especially in nature, but am not that much intopcs and internet ..and logging. So we spend a whole day together to indicate all the caches we found together out of his list. Hope you don't mind the standard text aslazy me has to log quitea few now. HopefullyI'm gonnawork on that
Thanks!

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After I've spent a full year in Australia Pfote joined me for my second year down here. We will definitely try to collect a lot of boxes and all the special things in every state all around and through the middle.
Today Pfote, Theatralis and me made a trip to the Gorge State Park to do the Ingliston gorge circuit with this little cache trail.
We found all the boxes we attempted on a beautiful couple of hours walk.
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

We decided to do the Noahs Lark series today after the rain yesterday made the gorge a doable walk in Summer.
The bush around here is just beautiful, and although it is dry there are a lot of amazing rock formations and spectacular views.
It took about 3 and a half hours and we missed 2 of the series and the letterbox due to time limits.
A fav point for all the caches as they were either crafty or in awesome spots.

Found today with Mum & Dad.
I loved the walk around here.
We saw some amazing views and some cool rocks.
We even saw an echidna at one point!
The cache containers were very cool as well.
Thanks for the series it was such a fun day.

Hi there GMWG. We found your cache "Noah 9 Hook Turn" at 10:28:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 12433.
[Blue}
We have been itching to attempt this series for a while, but it has been far too hot recently. Today was the ideal day, the current heat wave seems to have abated. After reading the story on each cache we were really delighted to find all but one of the caches in this novel series , there has obviously been lots of thought and TLC put into each placement.
We have given each cache in the series a favourite point for the adventure.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: One Toy.
Left: A smiley badge and a toy car.
Thanks for a great day out
Regards
Ian, Penny and Eden.

I'd been trying to escape the house the entire four-ish day weekend, but family and work drama just kept popping up at the most inopportune moments (as they usually do... I defy anyone to suggest an opportune moment). This morning, I was tetchy enough to climb the walls. Well, Ingliston Gorge near enough qualifies.
This is a series that I'd been meaning to tackle since it was published, and especially after the fun I had in Werribee Gorge proper. Now, I must say that this area is not quite as spectacular or rugged, but then again, I'm not as fit as I could be, and it turned out that this was just what I needed to work on my condition, and get some much-needed alone time. And this area still has some great views and lovely trails.
The circuit of caches took me the remaining hours of the afternoon, including the time of some insignificant horse race or another. A very entertaining tale kept me amused, and there were some real gems among the hides. It's well worth the effort just to visit Yoric.
For once, I completed a hike while some (if not much) daylight remained. Thanks for making a great place for a walk even better, GMWG.

Came to the Gorge with a the walking club a few days ago and decided on a quick revisit to do the caches.
Easy find on an overcast & drizzly day. TFTC.

Co-ords took me to within 5 mtrs of this one, looked around and found only one place it could be. Tftc
Thanks to the cache owners of the Noah's Lark series, I walked the whole circuit and it was my first ever visit to Ingliston Gorge. I managed to find every cache in the series and had the whole Gorge to myself
Hmmm hook turn yes we had to do that twice lol walking past waiting for a beep on the GPS no beep keep on walking, have a look at the GPS best we do a hook turn lol. After our little bit of a detour we discover exactly what we were looking for. Off to the next cache in the series
This one had us for a fair bit as we couldn't seem to locate a spot where the cache might be. We had to read a couple of the logs before we found the vertical log....
Found by Team Justice, MJ & JJ.

We wondered of it could be there where we suspected and it was. Not for the vertically challenged but also for the none vertically challenged lol I made Smurfy_CH get this one on his own. Caching with Smurfy_CH on the last of my holidays. Nice day to be in the Werribee Gorge State Park on a trail of caches . Great job with this trail. Tough going but we did it and I can proudly say I survived it lol Tftc
My second visit to this enjoyable circuit after finding the first three caches in the series last time around with my daughter. I came by myself this time so that I could attempt the more far flung caches in the series. The trail was really interesting with great scenery and wildlife and was very different from most bushwalking trails, without a clearly marked trail. I had to stop and look around on numerous occasions to figure out whether I was actually still on the trail. I'm glad they had those occasional orange arrows to confirm I was still heading in the right directions because the trail wasn't always that easy to re-find after heading off it to find one of the caches.
In all I found thirteen in the series today and couldn't find one before I had head back to the car to make sure I was home in reasonable time. I loved the effort and variety in all the cache containers and hides in this series and the different terrain needing to be covered to get to the hides. I'll have to return one more time to try and finish the rest of the series and the final.
After the last cache I lost the trail and ended up just following the GPS getting to this one instead. I spotted the likely hiding spot as I was approaching and took the enjoyable plank walk, stopping to sign the log from my vantage point. Great hide! Thanks for the cache GMWG.

Tftc. Didn't realise how literal 'walk the plank' was!! Good fun, and a extra bit of energy used up

Getting here, I lost the track and came directly down the hill. The stones were loose, so it wasn't easy staying upright.
I did walk the plank, and decided to complete the administration in that position.
The cache unexpectedly turned up a TB.
Thanks for the cache!

Our last find of the day, and another witty placement that made us smile as we closed in on the cache. And yay, this one was nice and safe and big enough to drop off a TB at. Good bye Honapona, hope your off on new adventures soon! TB dropped, log signed and container replaced and we were heading back to the car, admiring the array of fat hairy caterpillars on the track along the way! Would've crossed more caches off, but it was getting on, and the incessant cold wind and showers were stealing Pickled Ginger's mojo. At least we still have quite a few caches left for our next trip around the area! Cheers, GMWG.
What a day to be out and about gathering caches, the sun is shining with a slight breeze,
Found the cache and soon had the log signed and placed back,
A great location that will no doubt test our endurance.
