I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi mjmnz
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Hmmm didn't look much..read the activities and I believe the sign that it was meant to be by is gone. Will this be replaced?
I found...a magnet...remanants maybe? Not having much luck around here. Didn't expect to after all the dnf logs but still disappointing.
Had a good look here with 3 sets of eyes but no luck unfortunately, also seems that Macca’s has gone
Shame the McDonald's sign was taken down but still managed to find it, good hide, huge stockcar fan. TFTC
Havent been to Speedway here in years, maybe this season!
Quick find in the first place I looked.

I seldom get up to Wanganui in general, but the pull of Geocaching has given me impetus to pay more attention to it in recent years. With the vast majority of my plans for 2020 having been blown out of the water due to events beyond my control, I decided that a good long day caching up here was exactly what I needed, especially if I was to be able to do it in good company as was the case today.
My callout for company earlier this week was ably answered by Etherlord Clan and pgcnz, and all our logs today were signed either individually or else as Team PET as space on each logsheet allowed.
Arriving at GZ, I was initially taken to a location about 10m away from GZ by my GPS being a little erratic, but with a previous finder in our midst today it wasn't log before we were back on track (pun intended) again. As previously mentioned, the container has seen better days but is still doing its job just fine.
Thanks for the cache.

#11,884. Park and grab in Wanganui Airport, Whanganui. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache, which was more of a micro than a small, had lost its cover but remained dry inside the plastic bag. Needs maintenance. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Thanks for the interesting history and placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

Visiting Wanganui for the day, and had a few hours to spare for caching. A quick find here. Container could definitely do with a maintenance visit. TFTC
Our second time here as last time speedway was on there was lots of people of around so we abandoned our operation. Today of course it’s Saturday again and prob speedway on again as lots of people about but not near the entrance this time fortunately. As I was zoning in on where it could be hidden I saw something poking out. Oh there it was. A fluke find but it desperately needs maintenance, cache is broken and all the pieces and log are now in a plastic bag and shoved in there..
A quick find here today. Which was lucky as it was busy inside the grounds. Cache needs maintenance, thanks.....#800 9yrs old
Nice and quiet here today, quick find thanks

Nice long day caching around Wanganui! No noise at the time, but a couple of cars heading in as I got back to the car. TFTC!!
Easy find but Go Zz could only touch it. Soso improvised a tool to get it out while Go Zz and I discussed how to get it out. TNLNSL TFTC
Visiting Whanganui for another week of work. Escaped for the evening to collect some smileys. Happy with 10 smileys and 2 DNFs. All quiet here although I’m sure it’s very different on a racing night. Log was all dry despite the cache missing it’s lid. Thanks mjmnz.
Find number 6396. In Wanganui to assist a German friend who is doing the Te Araroa trail. After dropping her off at her starting point for today I then cycled along the river. So now it was part 2 of the day after lunch back at the holiday park. This time by car. Aim was to pick up the TMGT caches in town. Arrived to find I could hear the noise and smell the dirt as there was a stockcar meet on. People coming but able to grab in between. There appeared to be no lid on it but because of the hide cache all good. Thank you for the placement.
On the TMGT trail and gathering a few extras along the way ...thanks for the tidy cache...looks like there is a choice of gaps going by the wear marks
For some reason my GPS wouldn't settle. So I looked and saw where it has been and where it was. Thanks for the placement mjmnz

Grabbing a couple of caches in between the TMGT caches - took a wrong turn and ended up here, and wouldn't you know it, there was a cache nearby. TFTC

Wouldn't you know it - we just pull up and start our search when a car and trailer arrive so we have to stand around for a couple of minutes contemplating until they are out of sight. Good views from here. Spent many nights in the excitement and eating dirt at our local speedway when my boys were a lot younger. TFTC # 14,807
Yeah, I spent a few years working in the confectionery shops at our local speedway, your description is perfect. Great was my surprise on my first night when after the track had been suitably watered the cars zoomed round the corners sidewaze and great globs of mud landed on the counter. I thought we wouldn't have any customers but no-one cared - - - what's a bit of mud to a petrol-head. Anyway, now I know where the Wanganui speedway is. Cheers .

This was a quick find even if the gps was jumping.

Out for an evening trip to clear the caches around the airport. We have achieved our 366 challenge today so can get more than one in a day!!! Found after a short search. Not a soul out here today just a dog that was wondering what I was up to.tftc.
Back to my hometown to visit family.
With my jobs finished and with this stunning weather, I took the opportunity to take the dog and family out to South Beach.
After the beach we detoured out this way which brings back a lot of good memories. I used to visit the speedway lots during my youth and even entered a Demolition Derby at this very track.
Thanks for bringing me back here.

No sounds to be heard today, bar gale force winds, but a nice drive out here nonetheless. Easy find, TFTC
Day 4/9 of our New Years trip up to the North Island. This was find #19/43 for the day and #188/526 of our trip.
While staying in Palmerston North we took a daytrip to Whanganui to see what we could see. It was a great day but so hot! An easy find by Mum after I guessed the wrong hide. Last found 7months ago in May! Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.

Thank you for a great cache. Had been out of the game for some time so a good one to get back into it with. When searching for it...consider a lack of cobwebs as a good indication
In town as a base for some canoeing up-river. Had a spare morning, there was a DC3 at the airport giving scenic flights, but they were canceled because of the weather. However it wasn't so bad we couldn't pick up a few caches. This was a nice easy find. All in good condition. TFTC.
The hiding place was well hidden by ... so it took us a wee while to find. No stock cars today. Signed Team IE. TFTC
I decided to go and find the caches out towards the airport for the couple of days I am staying in this burg as I haven't been in this part of town.
No racing today.
Replaced the logsheet as it was full.
Cheers for the cache.

Pouring with rain. On way to take a free scenic flight at Wanganui Aero Club for my travel blog. Last person had shoved this in as far as they could but we managed to retrieve it and then couldn’t get pen to work properly lol. Log book now full. Loved the speedway and the demolition derby decades ago. Great little hiding spot.
Stopped here on the way from Wellington to Whanganui today. A quick and straightforward find here. Signed log, TFTC
Very quiet today and cache was located quickly. Very dusty up here with the wind that was around this morning. TFTC
Quick grab here today while spending the day in wanganui geocaching before my first aid course tomorrow. Tftc
A lovely afternoon I drive around parts of Wanganui. A quick stop and find. TFTC
Having a day trip to Wanganui with Casey2201 and Missymoomee from the Naki. Quick find. Cheers!!
Great little find! Did this coach with miss lala! Fun! Love the feeling when ya find it!
As a teenager, I used to be a regular of attender of speedway events in my home town. I haven't been to one since even though I don't live far away from a track.
I astonished myself by finding this cache in choice A.
