Followed exactly what the map said and it lead me off track slightly and there was nothing to be found. All the tracks have recently been redone though so maybe it’s been moved or got washed away??
Found it fairly easily but watch out for blackberry thorns they are nasty as. With swtgeo who got completely lost
Nah. Overgrown. Scour holes. Wet. Light shoes. Might skip this one for today. Cheers.
Enjoying a lovely summer's afternoons going. Heading downsouthand stopped at this lovely spot for the night. TFTC
Taking the dog for a walk in the area to get a few caches. Our first find of the day after two dnf. Thanks for the cache
Day 2 of my three day March Madness road trip.
Just completed Gracie7's baby trail and now onto this stop bank trail.
The trusty e-bike is eating up the k's today.
A bit of a terrain challenge which ended well.

Found container in the open with contents scattered about. Collected everything together and repacked. Log very damp. Cache owner, to rehide?
When our mechanic closed his business (for family reasons) & took a job in Rangiora we followed him out. This means that when I bring the car out for a WoF or service I need to do something to fill in my day. I've run out of Rangiora caches within walking distance, but they have loan cars! Today I travelled in all directions but South, finding 34 caches (& not finding 3). I'll apologise now for the cut & paste logs, but I'll try to add a bit about each cache here:
Funnily enough, with a hint like that, I knew exactly what I was looking for here! Spotted from above I soon had the log signed.

This was my final cache find on what was a rather busy caching day. I enjoyed the walk and managed to get myself in a good location to be able to make a beeline to the cache site where I made a very quick find.
We weren't really planning to be her today but that is how things co, and this was the only cache I had loaded in the gps.
It took a we bit of cross country to get here but that saves it from Muggles.
No honey about, but there were a few yummy blackberry's about.
Cheers and thanks for putting it here.

Snagged and tagged this one as we cycle along this trail. Big holes int he ground here to traverse.
Its Waitangi day and its the Ashley River Mountain Bike Trail today. We park Toby at the mouth to the Ashley and Zara to our start point. Now its on our trusty steeds Jack and Jill to travel this bike trail.
Its Waitangi Day - day one of a five day weekend exploring the amazing Canterbury, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack and Jill. Two days Rangiora, a day in Lyttleton and 2 days in Banks Peninsula. I got call from The Seagnoid, hes taking a long weekend. Lets go to the West Coast! Lets Go!! but maybe not the West Coast - rain on the way. So lets go to Canterbury. We leave for Christchurch Tuesday evening after picking up The Seagnoid after work. We make camp for the night at Amberly. Today its off to Rangiora for a cycle trip.

Cache descripion is out of date - no sign of a treefall getting here. Some big ditches / holes between the stopbank and the cahe. Stepped over one on the way to the cache, stepped IN one on the way back.
Down to Christchurch with Taybeedragon, Zara and Toby for a five day weekend starting Waitangi Day (which this year fell on a Wednesday. I reckon half the country would have been taking 5 day weekends!). Three days in Rangiora. We did two cycle trails there - having two vehicles makes it so easy. One of those cycle trails was fifty caches. Fifty caches in one day on a bicycle! Then a couple of days exploring the back roads around Akaroa. Darn close to two hundred caches in all. Dropped off a lot of path tags along the way, especially if the cache was nice and dry.

I was out riding the stopbank on the southern side of the Ashley River today.
Cheers for the cache.

A very enjoyable autumn bike ride on a sunny day with 8ManAfter and Akira. Many thanks.
#3,214: Tough T2 Smiley!
I came to this one with tandem4 and GeoYoungling #3 on a great autumn morning. Found in good shape!!
With all the growth, this was much more than a T2, I think.

Wouldn't want to try this one in the dark or while wearing bike shoes. First the shingle on the bank makes it very unstable so of course I slipped down it and then the ground is covered in holes of various description that are well hidden by the long grass. Luckily I spotted one before falling in so that made us a lot more cautious and we came away without incident. TFTC # 12,239
Down from Nelson for a big day caching. Have been picking up smilies in and around Rangiora for the last hour or so, now starting to head east along the trails. Thanks for the hide .
Nice break from the mountain bike ride. Bit trickier to access with the long grass, watch out for holes.
Out and about on a Saturday for a few caches and to enjoy the beautiful day! I decided that it was time for a nice long walk, the day looked promising, so I left the car and went off for what turned out to be a 13.3km stroll along the Ashley. Best way to spend the morning!! TFTC!!
Congratulations Sonia and Peter for rediscovering Woodses Way. I hadn't been down there for some time and thought that it may have become a victim to the Regional Councils flood maintenance work.

A gorgeous day, and so it was time to go for a wee bit of a wonder!!
Hubby was keen to join, and I was keen to knock off a whole bunch of caches that I still had unfound in the area! We ended up going on 3 different walks, with the last one quite unsuccessful unfortunately...
This was cache number one. Quite nice & easy to get to, and nice & easy to find - no idea where the last finder tried to approach from!!
TFTC!!

Approached within 20m from the wrong side then decided to head around to the right side, from where the geotrail showed the way! Thanks
Found with quinella today- I hate walking mtb tracks- too many corners!! And I didn't need to!! Never mind - a good walk anyway and fresh air for all of us - quinella, me and geodog. Tftc
Found with Warfi, took trackable and Left one.
Great wither day to go walking with Warfi and family.

Needed to "get outdoors" today- so decided to try for this one, as it was bugging me. In the past, I have tried to work out where to go to get this one, but was bamboozled! Out with Monson.clan today- and we found our way to it. Great day for it. tftc
A quick easy find at the start of my ride. Interesting history, now that I read it. +TB. Thanks.
A quick find to start the day hunting for the Ashley River series that I have not yet found.
With a few more days of holidays left we decided to head south again and find some caches we didn't have time to look for last week, plus some more off the beaten track. This was one of 51 found today as we headed homewards again.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Our recent multi day Canterbury cache raid was so successful we decided to have another one before the holidays finished. Again we got stabbed, prodded, pricked and scraped by the variety of hedges the region is so famous for. And of course we can now hold our breath a lot longer. A skill well worth developing to avoid breathing in part of the road surface every time a vehicle passes. Just over 200 finds were logged this time and a great time was had finding the caches with a variety of shapes, sizes and placements. A big thank you to all COs who made this possible.
A great day for a bike ride, and that is exactly what I did. I have been very keen to bike this trail for a while and finally got the opportunity to do s,o on a most brilliant and somewhat hot day. I really enjoyed all the finds and exploring the area along the river today.
Many thanks for the cache placement.

Found this one on a day of location scouting. Elephant tracks soon had Crood kids at the right spot. Tftc
Sent the Crood kids to go get this one from the roadside. Quickly found on this lovely (ok i really mean hot) afternoon. Another day another Cache. TFTC.
A walk through town, then onto these caches along the stop bank. This being the second, wasn't sure how to access the best, when I came across the cachers trail. TFTC!
Great! bit nervous it was quite overgrown, not sure what may have been lurking in there
I followed the vehicle track from the lawn cemetery, and via the railway bridge to reach GZ this morning
An energising stroll in the lovely coolness of a sunny Canterbury morning
A roly-poly tumble down the slope and I was able to find the cache without delay.
Hooray !!
