Was off on a caching raid from Runanga to Lake Brunner. This was a quick stop just after exiting Runanga. Nice quick find on this drizzly morning. Mmmm, gaiters are called for for the rest of the day if I want to keep my sox dry. TFTC gracie7
Today's road trip is from Runanga to Jacksons to Mitchells, Kumara and then back to my snail shell at Runanga.I have driven past here a lot of times but had never stopped before. It was time to correct that fault.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7.
Its Maintenance Month and today Mum has an afternoon Lions meeting in Westport so we combined this trip with maintenance checks on all of our caches out this way. The log nice and dry and everything is as it should be here. Happy Caching
Day 7 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today our tour is going from Fox Glacier to Punakaiki. We also visited this traditional cache, found it, and signed the logbook.

We did the Coal Creek walk and returned Gere fir a spot of lunch and the cache. Thanks for bringing us here Gracie7
We were out doing some maintenance at Nelson Creek when I remembered about this one so we came home the other side over the river and detoured out to here first. The log is completely fine and dry and has never been wet so we had a look for anything else that my be in the area, perhaps the old log that went missing and year and a half ago in June 2020 but we couldnt find anything. With the coordinates and hint we did wonder how you even found that. Anyway, all good with the cache here. Happy Caching
Found very soggy bag and notebook on the ground. Not able to sign. Replaced as best I could, but will need some TLC
Tregearp and I had a couple of nights in the region to completed a couple of walks that we'd previously attempted, but heavy rains had meant the rivers were flooded. So after two failed attempts we had to laugh when we'd had heavy rain over night and it had set in steady in the morning. Nothing for it but a couple of local tourist attractions and some caching. A quick find with all in good order. Thanks gracie7 for the cache.
What an interesting story! A quick find whilst driving up the coast with GSEL. TFTC No 10266.
#10,081. Day 4 of the geocaching road trip. Infoferret and I flew down from Wellington on Wednesday and have spent a couple of nights in Greymouth. But its time to leave now and head to our next lodgings in Westport. We have geotour caches to find, some adventure labs and a lot of solved puzzles on the way. Will pick up any traditionals if we have time. The weather is still holding out and its another fine, warm, sunny spring day.
Making our way north and stopped for this cache. Am intriguing bit of local history and yes its warped how we seem to remember the names of the villans and not the victims. The cache itself was an easy find. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks gracie7 for hiding it here.

Found while on our Apr21 South Island road trip. A quick and easy find and a little more NZ history learnt thanks to geocaching.
Stopped off here on my way back to Greymouth. Found with out any issues. I remember finding one here previously. TFTC
Found with NZDi. We are staying at Carters Beach Holiday Camp as a base for a few days geocaching on the Wet Coast. Todays plan is to head to Greymouth picking up as many roadside PnGs as we can, with a few more interesting excursions thrown into the mix.
This is our thirty-fourth cache of the day, and there was another person acting suspiciously at GZ. It turned out to be fellow cacher, Ulmuslynx who we were to meet at the next cache as well.
I think the same comment I made at the 'Welcome to Dullimore' cache applies here.
A QEF PnG.

Hopefully this will last abit longer than the previous versions. All good to go again. Happy Caching

Coming home from some cache maintenance on Point Elizabeth we stopped to randomly check on this one and couldnt find it. We decided not to replace it where it was and sussed out a new hide but didnt have everything we needed in the car. We will be back...
Heading home and spotted this. Been here a long time ago for the same thing, nice to return to. Thanks for the cache.
On a road trip with hubby Stretch0 heading home to Motueka today - first stop of the day at a place we have found a cache before signed log - thanks for the cache
#18208. We both had a feeling we'd found a cache here before. Cache was quickly spotted from the path, and the log book was soon in hand. TFTC.
It's Queen's Birthday weekend and we are at level 2 so geocaching is permitted. Traveling is also permitted. So, we traveled to Greymouth in our camper. After lunch at the carpark we walked this Coal Creek Walk. What a bonus there are geocaches. Actually that's how I discovered that there was a walk. I started with a dnf. Thanks gracie7 for creating this hide. It was find 8524 for me. Now we are heading back to the Top 10.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on the way back to Greymouth on a most enjoyable drive north on a gorgeous sunny day. Our turn around point was Crow Bay, so have left caches north of there for another West Coast trip.
An interesting story, makes you wonder about the desperation of people who kill others during a robbery. I tried the link to read some more but it wasn't working. It's possibly just down temporarily? TFTC.

We did all we wanted around Greymouth and now we are on our way to Westport. We had a list of all the caches on the road north. This was first on the list and Mr S got our for this one. Interesting memorial.
Thanks for showing us gracie7.

Exploring Hokitika, Ross, Hokitika George, Lake Mahinapua, Lake Kaniere areas today. Great time and visited some amazing places. My GPS decided at this point that we were about 100m away on the other side of the road! Reasonably quick find just with the hint, thanks!!
It had turned out to be a beautiful morning so we picked up the little monkeys and headed out to do some more maintenance today. As we were in the area anyway we checked on this while passing. All good here. Happy Caching
Out again today with Nana and Aunty Grace. Nana got this one out for me to sign.
(# 5386). Today is day 6 of my West Coast trip. Today is a lot brighter after all the rain. Today's plan of attack was clear up some caches in Runanga then do some of the Point Elisabeth Walkway from the north. No chance of completing it as time would not allow it. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Down from the Waikato for a week and we headed over to the coast on the Tranzalpine prior to picking up the Smurf series on Saturday. We stayed at Breakers (great place) and picked up a few caches around here. This one was in the correct place today, TFTC
A night hunt and found rock but cache not there.
Had a look around and found cache out in open NEAR tree.

Out on a maintenance run today and we stopped here to check on this one.
We could see straight away that the cache was missing so we replaced it in a slightly new position.
Its all good to go again. Happy Caching

22183 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we went from Greymouth to Nelson, via Punkaiki and we had all day, so we made many stops. Allong the road we found many caches, but we also visited the Pancaces and Windholes. The caches brought us to many special remarkable places.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Muggles did not watch what we were doing.
Special murder location. Found , probably, some remains of a cache and wrote our initials on it.
gracie7 + Mum TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

We found a number of caches in Greymouth and further north this afternoon, having travelled to the Coast on the TranzAlpine train this morning. Dull and drizzly at times, but no deterrent to looking for a few caches! However this wasn’t one of them. Expected this to be a relatively easy find, but we couldn’t locate it despite searching for a few minutes. It wasn’t the only one in this vicinity that didn’t seem to be where it should have been. Has it gone missing?
I had just finished reading the information board in Runanga and this made a little more sense after driving by many times. Tftc
