The puzzle was interesting and very open to more than one interpretation..I guess there is one winner here and that the CO s correct answer...this took quite a few attempts to get the tick...today was find and sign day....this was also a test...the natural camo had built up nicely...in fact I think it ( the cache)was ready to sprout roots .. it was that deeply buried and had been found for nearly a year
Thanks for the cache and puzzle
Thanks for the cache and puzzle
I looked at this a long time ago when I was a novice puzzle cacher. Got the first bit but couldn't find anything to make sense. Picked it up again a couple of months ago, determined to solve it. I certainly discovered a lot of facts and figures but still nothing seemed to work. I then found conflicting info which didn't help the cause. It was just trial and error in the end, accumulating lots of crosses before success. I wasn't sure exactly where gz was as there was so much overgrowth everywhere. I finally waded through the long grass and in. Used a stick to search as there was so much lead litter. Found well buried. Thanks for the puzzle and cache cats&dragons
out enjoying collecting a few solved puzzles and caches which have been on my rader for such an age.
3288 Day 60 of current streak. Have had this one solved but had kept it to use to keep my streak going. Knew exactly what was required but couldn't get anything to give me a tick. But after a nudge I finally got the correct coordinates. Arrived after bowls (10.15pm). Parked up in the lay by and walked across. Spotted the little cache nicely tucked away. Looked like it had not be found for awhile ( last found Oct 16). Was surprised that the log was clean and fresh. CO must have done a maintenance. Once I had the plastic bag open I had a memory block and couldn't remember the date so I counted back from Friday being the date of Hamilton event but I got it wrong and signed it 13/8. Should take my phone with me which shows me the date. Then I popped it back and headed for the motor home. Then I dropped my pen. No way was I going to find it in the long grass and the dark. Glad to tick off another Cluster. Thanks for the placement.
found with nanna.c-super.pops and nufrat signing as nnd, rain didn't stop us, tftc
out for the day with nufrat and diesel894. heavy rain but didn't deter us. enjoyed the challenge of this puzzle. logged caches as NND. an easy find, tftc
we werent letting a bit of rain stop us, after a short search we found the cache, very overgrown here, and another cluster done, tftc
Solved the cluster puzzle some time ago. Finally got around to pulling over on a quieter day, if there is such a thing on this road, but had no luck reaching for the stars.
On a trip to Auckland with Davidson Clan to take part in a Browns Island excursion. One of the caches we planned to get in Auckland required the finding of a cache not found for a year (or more) so we made a play for this one. Searched all the obvious hides but no luck - I was just about to walk out of gz and I spied some good ol' spray painted plastic. Uncovered out in the open - we replaced it as per description/hint and have sent a pic to the co for confirmation - if DClan remembers to send it Cheers C&D
Found this with Phillip.Perry on a road trip to Auckland to join the group of cachers going to browns island.
Phillip needed a cache for a challenge cache in Auckland and I needed to revisit this place and change my DNF into a smiley mission accomplished although only after we gave up and were walking away from GZ and Phillip spotted lying on the ground out in open we have replaced where we thought it should go will send photos so you can check on cache.
Thanks

10,35am - Able to locate this one today but a bit overgrown. Cache all well. SLTFTC
Checked this one on the way south and yes it was missing, so have replaced in same location with a 200ml container (Small) as opposed to the original regular

DNF find today thought maybe with fresh eyes I would find but I reached for the stars but couldn't see anything.
Didn't find this one my head must be in the stars found car park easy crossed road and looked where my phone was taking me but couldn't see anything that resembled a cache. There was a tree that May have fallen recently maybe under that. Anyway will have to look next time we come to Hamilton .
I'm visiting from Melbourne for the New Zealand Mega which means finding lots of caches and coming here especially to find this one - the whole experience has been fantastic. The weather has also been much nicer than back in Melbourne and that has meant long hours starting early and caching late into the night and not getting much sleep in between. I had spent many hours in the lead up to my arrival in New Zealand preparing an itinerary of caches, solved puzzles and places I wanted to visit and I'm pleased to say I completed just about everything I had planned. For the places I didn't get to visit, well that just means I'm gonna come back. I've seen stunning sights, walked lots of kilometres (and driven even more) met some great people and made new friends which has been awesome.
I've worked through the solutions for a bunch of the cluster caches and here I am. I really enjoyed this series.
Thanks Cats&Dragons for bringing me here and for adding to my positive experience.

I discovered the logbook to be soggy. Sorry but I didn't have a spare on me, maybe the next cacher could come prepared.
An enjoyable puzzle, thank you. This was our last for the day after our trip into the Waikato .
Today is the first day of the Term 2 School Holidays. On my way to visit a very large kiwi... But first, two stops.
Solved this puzzle recently. With a bit of luck, found the required numbers to get the all important green tick in the geochecker. So, first stop... Clusterville. Made a quick find of the cache as it was quite visible. Nice to add this to the growing list of solved cluster caches. TFTP and TFTC.

Slowly collecting our way through these caches and though we had plans to knock a few more of these off today, we got caught up at Lake Ngaroto so they'll have to wait for another time again to sign them all off.
Nice quick find here tonight just as it was starting to get dark. Cache quickly signed and off to do one more for the day - TFTC

Solved soon after publication as with all the others in the series. After running out of time in November last year with completing the series we were back today in the hope of completing the series. That wasn't to be as we ended up spending too much time at Lake Ngaroto.
Made a flying visit past GZ on our way back to Auckland with just enough time here for a quick find. Thanks for the puzzle C&D, was good catching up with you again today! We will be back another time to finalise the series.

Some of these "cluster" caches have been doing my head in - I've only managed to solve about half of them so far - my brain must be wired to solve more logical, mathematical and cryptographic puzzles rather that ones that have the answers hidden in plain view. This one wasn't too hard, but some of the others are real headscratchers.
Found with Mike-miss and Evilno9 towards the end of our Hamilton day out.

Out on a Saturday drive with Becsicasa. TFTC! log was slightly damp, container repositioned to hopefully help
Decided to head out and about with Z-masterNZ, trying to clean up some caches in and around Cambridge while we had a weekend free. Hobbling around on crutches was interesting, but we still managed to knock some off the list and collect a few smilies
Lucky last for the night as we were heading back into Hamilton from Cambridge. Thought it was a good idea to pick up some of the solved cluster caches that we hadn't got around to yet. Z went hunting for this one while I waited in the car. Log is slightly damp so he emptied out the water and has repositioned cache so hopefully it doesn't get wet again.

We thought we had the solution to this one early on, but discounted it after checking Google Earth. Revisited the cache page recently and soon had the geochecker tick. Finding the cache proved more difficult. After reading past logs we took one more look, and spotted it immediately in a place we had overlooked before TFTC.
Made harder work of this find than is needed after solving very easily. Was a bit exposed so covered better. Thanks very much Cats&Dragons
Nice to find after a period of rest.
Worked out after a check of my workings. TFTC

10105... Our final cluster of the night under the starlit skies, Mrs YuGeo should have trusted her instincts and used the geochecker first up and not second guess herself. We are now onto your tricksy tricks Steve, thanks for the puzzle and cache.
Out early this morning to attend a Numbers Event - thought I would pick this one up on the way - enjoyed another well done cluster puzzle and fairly quick find - I was reaching the wrong way! - Cache all good TFTPC
Really enjoyed solving this one and nice to complete the formalities. GPS had us wandering a bit but after figuring out where it couldn't be hidden the cache was soon located. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Last cluster cache of the night for our constellation of Akl cachers. Nice spot - dropped some trackables. TFTC!!!

All week we were in a fluster to try and solve the clusters before heading down to Clusterville. Found with a cluster of JAFAs in a convoy of cars darting here there and everywhere while chasing clusters. Thanks for the fun puzzle which took a bit of research to find the correct information. Looking forward to the next in the series TFTC.
Got there thanks to some hand-holding by CO. Pleased to get this one off the DNF list.
Got a green tick and headed out brimming with confidence. Spent 20min floundering among the tree roots, as I didn't know what I was looking for, before giving up.
Just when I thought that there couldn't possibly be any cluster ideas left this one was published. Got lucky and managed a quick solve.
Many thanks

Followed the light of the stars and found the place to look for the cache. Arrived at GZ and need a little bit of a search to locate the container. Took TB.
Loved the new cluster out here.
Solved quickly once I got back from the weekend camping and thought id leave it to fill in a calendar day. Headed out to GZ and while waiting for the GPS to zero in had a poke around. Saw the GeoTrail and had a laugh. Walked right up to the cache and claimed the find.

was out night before and searching with no luck but no flashlight as well. took a new cacher the second time then had an ahah moment and as signing log started pouring so mad dash to replace the cache and get back to where car was parked
Nice easy solve. Not such an easy find. Must have walked past this a few times and just as we were signing the log, The stars open and poured down on us. And while visting this cache, decided to drop a cluster of bugs.

I see the SACPAC theory did not go down too well, lol, didn't last long!
Soon decoded the gist of the puzzle but got stuck and required a nudge, from there it was full speed ahead, as fast as we can go!!

Another new cluster! And on a topic I'd been thinking of using too, so didn't take long to work out what was required Nice quick find by the kids, who were suitably excited to see an empty log for a *ftf* thanks for a cool puzzle!
Damm cluster caches, just when I think there couldn't possibly be another type of cluster this one explodes on the scene.
Inspiration quickly hit and was solved without too much bother, will collect in the near future

Decided a bit of night caching was in order, no GPS, no torch, but had phone so using the flash I followed the fresh Geo trail and soon had the cache in hand.
