Two Aussie travelling NZ trying to do one cache per day found while staying at the freedom camp thanks for bringing us here TFTC
Somehow, we made this harder than it actually was!I think we needed some dinner for brain food! After looking in the tree for some time, I finally caught a glimpse of camo....Phew, thank goodness.
On a caching journey up to the north with Supernannny and Net61 to find some caches. Many kilometres were driven over a few days and many caches were found. Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements. Heading to Manganui fish shop for dinner, we stopped to find a few caches on our way. Took a few circuits at gz to spy this camouflaged cache. TFTC
Easy find once we actually got the right coordinates haha S 34 59.945 E 173 32.152
On our trip through New Zealand today we looked for geocaches near Mangonui. Luckily we found a nice spot to take a few home with us. Thank you very much to CO for laying this cache. With warm geocach greetings from the Netherlands
Found on my way towards Paihia after visiting the Far North. Thanks for showing me this nice location and view. My find no. 8.132. The cache is dry and in good condition.
Coordinates changed from:S 34 59.937 E 173 32.137Coordinates changed to:S 34 59.945 E 173 32.152Distance from original: 89.2 feet or 27.2 meters.Moved the cache to a less vegetated spot.
While I can't say for sure if the cache is missing or buried under much vegetation I have put out a replacement cache. It is now closer to the water's edge and hanging.
Quick find for our 11 year old who found it in about 1 minute. A nice stop to look out over the harbour. TFTC.
As the rain was holding off, I decided to wander down the road to get this one.
I must admit, I had an oh no moment when I saw where it was hidden. It took a bit of circling, but it was soon spotted.
Thanks for setting this up

Thanks you for well looked after cache, and a selection of treasures - all left behind as didn’t have anything to replace them with!! Note - there’s is some moisture in the plastic bag, same dried and returned.
Dark and wet when I wandered down here from our campervan site. Gave it a decent go, but nothing doing for me. Maybe I’ll try again in the light tomorrow...
No luck today got a bit wet looking in all the bushes will have to come back for another go some time
Thanks. I did the nearby cache and thought I'd do this too. Took a few minutes of searching bit I got there. Left some swag. Log book is a bit damp but not too bad.
Have replaced the cache with an identical container, plus new log, and including a few swaps. Any swaps that went home with us will find their way into other caches. Good luck!
Easy find for the last cache find of our 2 day caching holiday. Found with Yvettetb & TheTraveBugTribe.
Easy find on our travels home today. The log was wet so have let CO know. What a great little spot. TFGC
Hiya thanks for all your caches in and around the Far North, we have enjoyed finding them. This Haere Mai Mangonui log is saturated, the plastic bag was damaged so replaced but attached is a pic of the log that probably needs replacing as wet but also falling apart. Thanks Yvette
Baking hot afternoon but an easy find for the last cache of our mini trip up north. Found with Nessvab and Yvettetb. TFTC
#10,578. After doing a couple of the TMGT geotour caches near Kaikohe I headed north and reached Mangonui - home of the great mangos. I parked some distance away and walked back to this one. Wandered around a bit checking out flax bushes and finally spied the cache. The old logbook was rather wet and in poor health. But managed to add my name to it. Replaced the cache where found. Thanks nalawod for hiding it here.
Back with some friends. Great to see the cache is there. Found it in 2013 originally!!!
Took a minute but found soon enough On our Northland Adventure with Tonisch13 TFTC
It's the second day of our brief trip to the Far North to have a look around, take a break and of course find a few geocaches. Today we were focused on heading up to get the geotour caches in the area.
By now it's getting dark and we don't fancy pulling over in unfamiliar places in the dark so decide to make this our last cache for today - so more of a case of Haere Ra Mangonui than Haere Mai Mangonui here. Fitting to do one of *these* kinds of hides at least once on this trip - I gave myself a permanent eye disability slipping over into one of these onto a flower stalk so am very careful these days hunting here. Fortunately, it's a pretty big cache so not hard to find, so found fairly quickly and we were signed in in no time and replaced the cache as found - all good here, took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this cache and the others you have placed in the area for us to find and have a great holiday - much appreciated.

I moved my snail shell from Opononi to Tokerau Beach and had a Grandad nap in the afternoon. So it wasn't until today that I decided to sign off a few PWGT caches and any others that got in my way.
I remember searching for this one before but found it today.
Cheers for the cache.

Quick catch on the way back home from Karikari Peninsula together with NZ Yoda and our two geodogs Luna and Frodo.
TFTC... a stunning day today. We were just heading home after an overnight camp up north at Paua Bay and had time to grab a few GCs.
We're frequent visitors to Coopers Beach and have always wanted to stop for this one. Juggle hubby waited in the geomover this time as I made my way towards GC. Unfortunately my phone wasn't much help in navigating me but previous logs helped and soon spotted and had cache in hand.
A great sized cache that could fit a few goodies in. Log was dry and plenty room left... also a nice spot to stretch your legs or have a sit down

Found out on a lovely afternoon of catching with Kiwiterm, Reebuck and Nanabuck. TFTC
Last find of the day on our trip around Doubtless Bay. A great day with the family with lots of finds. Tnlnsl. Tftc!!
We had come North for the Labour weekend to cache and we had one cache lined up for our 6000th find!
We had our dinner at home and decided that it would be good to pop out after dinner to get a few more caches and get us close to our milestone cache number.
We are at our house and doing the calculations to ensure that we get the cache we want for our 6000th tomorrow.
Not sure if we need to pop out and get a few more before bed tonight..... Its getting exciting!!!!!

With the mega being postponed a plan was hatched for some of the Team SEAC crew to head north for some fun. Today was day 2 and the Karikari Peninsula was completed with only one DNF.
We stopped for some dinner and drinks at our temporary home before heading on out again. Did the walk around the area - very interesting facts!
Stopped in the little reserve and walked across with the light of our torches to guide us. Thankfully Mr Stik-a-Crane made the find, we signed the log and we were on our way!
Thanks for the cache.

Out with Team SEAC on a long weekend raid of the upper north island. We spent the 2nd day catching around the Karikari Peninsula. This was done in the dark. GPS lead straight to the correct location for a quick find. TFTC.
Day two of our visit the the Far North ...... a group of cachers from Auckland, signing in as Team 'SEAC' to save logbook space......
Caching reasonably local today as we were based in Cable Bay.....headed up the peninsula in search of new territory and caches none of us had ventured to before....
Thanks to the CO's for bringing us to these stunning locations we would probably not visit.

Walked along the path/road from Manganui township to get these caches. Lovely day and not to busy.
I thought this one was going to be at a sign welcoming us to manganui. After seeing no sign looked around at other options and had it in hand. Opened it up to find dried leaves. What is going on here... after emptying them out was able to get to log and sign it. TFTC
