1MinnieMoo decided to tackle these now-archived caches. Such a shame the cache owner lost the love for geocaching
This was our first one in this series. We parked up and made our way to GZ - dodging webs all the way. Thankfully, we easily spotted the prize safe and sound and signed the log.
A good little hide. TFTC griz066

26/1/21 Find #4544
Fangsoki and I were doing the Australia Day rounds heading “a little country” for a day of adventure between Leyburn and Toowoomba. We knew of these recently archived caches, and decided we needed to go on the hunt. This was to be our first one in the series.
Parking the car, we wandered over and it wasn’t long before we found what we had come for, seeing the sign first of course.
Thanks for the cache griz066.

The cache owner has decided Geocaching is not what it used to be. It used to be fun now there are too many tree huggers running around the country side pretending to be cache police, and vandalising caches. I don't want any part of it any more.
A bit of a mystery here.... thought the cache must have been replaced but now find there's no note to say it has been. At present the cache is only a log in a bag. Not Chinchilla Wattle, maybe not even the correct cache.... who knows?? TFTC griz066.
This was a great little p trail......some of the earlier hides could do with a higher D level. A great effort CO. THANKS
Met the local Ned Winter at this cache location. He pulled up next to our bike while we searched for the groundhog. He patiently waited for us to emerge from the scrub to say hello.

Tuesday. This is the last day of our return journey after staying at Carnarvon Gorge for the International Earthcache Day. Found this one sticking out a bit, but that was okay, as we were hoping for a quick find. I was itching to get home as we’d been away for a few days by now, so we were on the homeward stretch to being home now.
This was the 18th of 25 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***griz066***, for showing us this place.

Hi there griz066.
This is the 1st of 2 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.

Start of the run toward Dalby. The iPad was all over the place but a wide search found the hide. Kutgw
Signed this with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
Nice quick find for our last one on our run. A fun day out with Jess & Caro. That was a great series. Thankyou!
Off for a drive and a picnic for my birthday with Ranibaskale today. We went through Dalby, to Lake Broadwater for lunch, and then continued onwards along some other roads with geocaches yet unfound by us.
Oh. It. Is. Too. Darned. Hot!!!
This will be our last find... we need ice cream, water, and to head home for a cool birthday beverage. Yeah, leftover shots from New Years Eve might be a good start,
ha ha!
Thankfully this was a nice quick find and we were soon on our merry way.
Thanks for the cache, griz066, and a neat series with a great variation of hides!

TFTC. We left Kingaroy this morning taking advantage of a nice sunny day to drive to our overnight stopover in Millmerran.we stopped in Cecil Plains to stretch our legs and maybe find a cache or two. On our way out of town we noticed this series. The side of the road was solid enough to hold the weight of the motor home . We did however miss the first two of the series. Never mind , an excuse to come back.
Up early this morning as were are moving on to Texas, and I want to cache but Pa wants to be off the road by midday to avoid the worst of the heat.
Pulled up on the side of the highway and walked across towards the GZ.
Thank goodness for another quick find. Signed log as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.

Hi there griz066 - while in Dalby we decided a day outing to Cecil Plains was in order so off we went. This cache was a quick find and sign before continuing our day. SL. This is our find #4703 - thanks to griz066 for this cache.

A nice quick find but after finding a spent shotgun cartridge on the ground nearby I'm outta here!
Is Wolf Creek anywhere near here?
Made our mark & replaced as found.

When I first started caching I travelled along this way with angloj to pick up these caches but because we weren't ready for the lack of signal we missed a few. Now a few years on and I am back to pick up the rest. This was the third and final stop and a nice easy find here. All of the containers and logs are in great condition. TFTC griz066
Today Youngoldfella, triciac2 and myself teamed up for a one day road trip to find a few of the new geocaches that have appeared since we have been to the various places we travelled to today.
Of course some of us have found some of the geocaches along the way and at other locations others of us had not found the geocaches there.
We travelled about 400km in total. I found about 14 geocaches, youngoldfella a few more and triciac2 a few more again.
Another quick find. Thanks for the short series along here.

On a cache day run with Youngoldfellow and Brother Colin. After some cooler weather we have a beautiful warm day for our drive. Clever hide. After all the dry weather it was wonderful to see all the green grass and surface water beside the roads. Tftc
Staying at Millmerran for the Camp Oven Festival we took the opportunity to find some caches and this was one of them. A quick find here. Dropped off TB.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Stopped at the Camp Oven Festival and of course always time for some caches in the area. TFTC.
While in town for the Festival we noticed this series of caches on the way to Cecil Plains ,we love finding caches in a series and had a great afternoon with our fellow cachers ,thanks for placing them and apologise now for the generic logs TFTC
Camping in Cecil Plains for a couple of days while we wait for the Camp Oven Festival. Spending the day today chasing all the caches in the area.
Last find for the day, last in the series. Also needs repair.
Thanks Griz066

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
After a great night with friends in Dalby it was time to move south today. We headed towards Milmerran but stopped for several hours in Cecil Plains. So glad we did. [^]
Enjoyed our visit to this town, exploring and finding the swimming pool, train station, golf course, cricket oval, Apex park. The cotton farms and bales, bush track driving. All caches bar 1 had good co-ords.

We are on a road trip heading to the ACT. We are towing our caravan and are enjoying traversing the back road where quite often there is an opportunity to stop and do a cache without being annoying to any other traffic. We have also based ourselves in Cecil Plains and Warialda and done some of the most enjoyable and creative caches we have ever done. We are so impressed with the standard of these caches. [^][^] Thanks to griz066.
We had an overnight stop here at Millmerrin. Up nice & early to find the caches in the Cecil Plains area.
What a great day we had, wonderfull caches found 14 in all & gave 5 favourite points. This is amazing for such a small town.
Started on the trees & then around the town, allwas so quiet at 8am in the morning.
Thanks for placing this cache griz066

Was out and about today so did a Maintenance run on all my caches. I can confirm that this cache is in the original location and is in good condition. Happy hunting.
Our aim today was to drive from Cecil Plains to the next place Millemeran and do a few caches on the way. Well, glad we did. Amazing trail and a nice variety of caches. No problem finding this one with our Garmin 62S. TFTC griz066.
Found this one in the series on our way to Warwick and then heading home to the Southern highlands NSW.
Thanks griz066 for the hide and the series. Didn't stop to do them all.

It has been a fun diversion the wrong way from where I was going today.
Here I reached the end of my southward diversion and enjoyed another wander through the scenery to find me a cache
Now to head north again !!!
Yeah !! Right !!
A couple of days ago I was heading for Chinchilla and Roma.
Today I am still wandering around Cecil Plains !!
And as I write this cache log three days after I found it I am in Kingaroy and headed for Brisbane [:o]
I don't know why I bother making plans each night for the next day.
The caches just take over !!

9416 kms travelled in 21 days, one awesome eclipse observed near Mt Carbine in Northern Queensland and 712 cache finds, including a small handle of FTF's.
This was a trip I'd been planning for over 12 months with the main reason being to observe the solar eclipse on the morning of the 14th of November. I had decided to drive to Palm Cove and back, where my penthouse accommodation was located, while the rest of the family flew up and back. I love the drive and the unknown adventures that lay ahead; and I even think the last time I did one this big may have been for the previous eclipse in Australia which occurred over SA.
Apart from the great experiences, awesome scenery, and the characters met, the other reason to drive was to also do some serious caching, with the plan to stop at some power trails along the way including the Fruit Run and A.S. series near Stanthorpe on the way up and the Mid North Coast Wander series, just out of Port Macquarie, on the way back.
I had five days to travel each way with ten days in between spent in Palm Cove holidaying with my family. My route up took me from Melbourne to Tocumwal and up to Glenn Innes, through Toowoomba, Rockhampton and the coast road to Cairns while my route back was a bit more erratic. Heading from Cairns to Townsville then via Charters Towers to Rockhampton. From here it was through the amazing mining region to Roma then across to Dalby down through Stanthorpe (again) to Armidale, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Tocumwal and then home - phew.
Today I made my way from Roma, through Dalby and Millmerran and onto do some more of the A.S. series out of Stanthorpe that had been added; before crashing in the car in a great little spot I found just off the New England Hwy somewhere south of Tenterfield. The last find for this series (so far) and a really enjoyable series as well. Found and signed. Thanks griz066, you have some really great caches.

Had to be in Toowoomb a for a meeting this morning so made a plan to gather the few awaiting smileys. Got this one on my way home. Quick find at 1200. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on Nano and Micro logs as yougoldfella takes up too much space. Heading home via Cecil Plains now to grab the other one near here. TFTC.

70km from home.
Our first of the Native tree series, a relatively quick find and I even beat Mrs RF to one for a change.
Took nothing but memories and left nothing but footprints.
Hide, log and container are all in good nick.

Woohoo...a few days ago when planning today's trip I saw this was yet to be found. I certainly didn't expect it to still be here when we came this morning. Great idea for a series. I don't think I would have noticed the signs otherwise. TFTC.
Phone reception along here is a bit iffy and I was horrified to see there was no signal as we got back to the car, meaning finding the rest would be out of the question....thankfully that didn't eventuate but there were moments of panic. I really need to figure out how to use the GPS I got for my birthday .
