Sadly we join the growing list of ends. Jiggled many places but found only emptiness. Seems you need a large group to find this one.
Found with my family and the Orrsomes during the Winter Walk. We parked at the station and managed to get aboard the train before it left. Met a fair few others at the starting point and then split the group in two, half of us getting this cache. Glad there was a few of us as there was a few places it could be be. I searched the right spot, but the wrong spot. I found this one as part of the 100 caches for the 13 souvenirs.
Thanks for the walk and cache!
Thanks for the walk and cache!
Found when wondering past with the A Winter Walk by Brisbane Water event. We all split up and checked different things and then all the other incorrect cache hiding spots. A bit of extra strength from KRS who got the correct hiding spot and the cache was in hand. Log passed around and signed we continued on with our walk. TFTC
1/7/18. 10:38 AM. Cache #5564.
1st of 10 finds (& 1 DNF) today - Tascott, Koolewong, Woy Woy & Woy Woy Bay.
I'd first visited this cache in January last year but only had a short time to look - not enough to even log a DNF it would seem. In the months in between I had spoken to a past finder and discovered that I had been so close.
So, with today's "A Winter Walk by Brisbane Water" event (GC7R5K0) going right past, I had a great opportunity to get the smiley here. About 8 of us peeled off from the walk and crossed the busy road. Up, across and down to GZ, and I finally remembered what I had been told before. A rock came in handy and I had cache in hand! SL and passed around the group and then we continued on with the walk, "Gateway to Koolewong" being next. TFTC.

Joined a group of cachers walking from Pt Clare to Woy Woy for the geocaching NSW "A Winter Walk by Brisbane Water" event. Crossed the busy road, up and over the station and with plenty of eyes and a little effort, the log was soon being handed around for everyone to sign.

Found with a group at the GCNSW event.
Crossed the road, got to GZ and a few spots of interest became apparent. With the help of KRS, a more interesting spot was searched and cache found.
Thanks for the cache.

This one has been on my to-do list for soooo long but I never got around to it until today with the Geocaching NSW event walk going right past. I joined in the search of likely hiding spots but someone else made the find and handed the log around.
Many thanks for the hide.
Many thanks for the hide.
Found as part of the walking event today in a large group. Got to ground zero and found Cachly wasn't cooperating on my phone so while I was sorting that out someone else came up with the goods. Luckily just logging out and back in solved the Cachly issue so I was good to go after that. Thanks mr jamsam.
On our way back from the GCNSW event so grabbed this one on the way home thinking it would be the quietest day to search. It was. TFTC
Out with Drewbert81 who said this was a bit of an archenemies of his with a bit of searching with 2 pairs of eyes we quickly found the cache. You definitely have to give it a good jiggle TFTC
Finally, after a couple of visits, I can finally log this cache as found. Made it difficult I come from another state. This time I made a team of it with Toeti81. Crafty hide TFTC
On a walk hopefully as far as Woy Woy. First cache. We were avoiding being seen by what we thought was a muggle waiting for a train... but no, an ex- cacher who helped! Then his train arrived and we had to wait so we would not be seen. TFTC!
Day 11 of my Geo Muster Mega event/Hawaii cruise adventure with m4yb. Now exploring the Central Coast region.
A walk over the bike trail to find the closest cache to our AirB&B, looking around with muggles on the very short platform, when one of them asked if we were cachers and gave us a good hint. He said there used to be a lot but no longer.
Thanks for the smiley and hide

Found on a lazy Sunday afternoon with TsyeymTaronyu while the geomen go paddling. This has taken 3 goes and much frustration. We had an idea of what we were looking for the first time but clearly didn’t spend enough time “jiggling” various things. T4TC

TFTC! Headed around this side of the coast today trying to get some smilies, this one was a great quick find, no one around at 2pm on Saturday, happy days.
After a fun day with my girls at Woy Woy pool, I stoppped for this cache on the way home. There were no muggles around at all which made the find much easier as did accurate co ords. There were only so many places the cache could be, it is a bit of a tight fit but got it . Thanks for the cache mr jamsam tnln replaced as found sl
Tried before with no success, however after trekking out to Alice Springs and gaining some new skills and knowledge we found it this time after only a couple of minutes searching. TFTC!!

I have tried to find this before on a previous visit from the UK with no joy. Today having just got off the train from the airport it was in hand and signed within a couple of minutes. Must be the jet lag!
This one captivated us for a while but eventually all made sense. Never been to Tapscott...up from Wollongong for a day of exploring. TFTC
The co-ords ended up being very good for this cache, and I liked the idea of 3 possible levels to hunt. In the end it took a hint for the logs and a hint from the Rot13'd actual hint to find the cache in one of the first spots I considered but had found I couldn't access where I wanted to straight away. But soon I was rocking out with cache in hand. Signed the log and replaced as found, well, maybe not quite so stuck in place.

Wow that was hard work prising it from its cover. Got there in the end though. TNLN TFTC
TFTC used a rock as a tool. Took a little while to access the cache but we persevered.
I came up here from Sydney by train for some caches, some views and a walk around Brisbane Water. When I got off the train I found 2 problems, I'd forgotten the GPS (and don't have a smart phone) and the station cleaner was here doing his thing. I surveyed the location seeing plenty of possible spots but couldn't look due to the cleaner so headed off to caches up the stairs with the views. A good memory, having read the cache info and the caching gods onside and I found those so on returning to the station I was hopeful of a 3rd find. No muggles in sight this time so I began to search. The 2nd place I looked produced the goods!
I had seen the train to Sydney go past so a walk along the waterfront to Koolewong completed the agenda for the day. It wasn't very far, only about 1.5km.

Out and about today finding a few caches north of where I am house sitting for a month.
I am in Gosford to do a little shopping so I had better find a few caches while 'up north'.
A little detour on my way home into Tascott for a few finds. [^]
A quick find here for me today.
Thanks for the cache.

Cool hide. TFTC. Cameo was quite removed when I arrived.

After much time and help from Shifter Brains located this today. Even with non-busy rail workers at the station.
Great to find.
Left a spider.

We had been discussing this cache with another cacher in relation to a group of Senior Girl Guides including in a geocaching evening that Mrs Shifter would be helping with. We decided that it would be a good idea to locate the cache first, so after placing a few Munzees at East Gosford for another Girl Guide activity we decided to look for this cache.
The location was easy to determine however the exact spot was a little more difficult to locate, we needed to use a screwdriver to assist us.
There is a definite need for a tool as assistance for this one. A well concealed cache.
Thanks for the hide mr jamsam.

This took a bit of thought but found it after not too long. Clever hide. TFTC
Found it with help.. There was no hope at all of getting cache without a good tool, it couldn't even be jiggled. Noticed there was an easier way and made it jiggleable(?) might still need a tool though not a full on metal pole which I needed. When replacing don't make it too hard for the next to find, just place it not force it. Tftc have probably spent the most time looking for this one of any caches I've found/dnf'd before.
Recently moved into area, first attempt at this cache came up short, will be back again.
I have been looking for this a couple of times. Now that I am a bit more experienced and have discovered how tricky cacheers can be I zeroed in on the potential hiding place pretty quickly. It was very difficult to open. So difficult I almost thought I was wrong.
Nicely hid. Only got this with some help from previous logs. A basic tool would have helped a lot. Tftc. Stealth very much required.
Thought I would do a train change to knock this one over. Due to goods trains getting in the way didn't have a very long wait once I found a slightly damp cache. Tftc
Very tricky! Took us a while! Lol had some hard ones today! And yes does need quite a jiggle to come off Tftc!!
This one was tricky, and definitely a stealth one!

Commuters comming, going, waiting inside, outside... I guess I've chosen the wrong moment, but at the end I finally had the logbook in my hands! Signed inside the car & waited for the right minute to put it back!

I have finally been able to get a smiley for this one! This one often comes up on my radar but the logs have put me off having a serious attempt at it. I have been here once before to have a go at it but I didn't manage to get too much time as a girl in her twenties came to the platform to catch a train. As it was around 9pm I decided I should leave and not scare the poor thing!
I had been playing on the net tonight and stumbled across a blog from a local cacher who had found this cache. I read on to find that where I thought the cache was hidden was completely incorrect. Upon reading where the cache was hid I admit to being a bit excited and decided to attempt the cache straight away!
I drove to the cache and got there around 8:15pm. Once again it was night time and I made my way over to the GZ. The hide still took some searching for and as I was eliminating possible options a man came onto the platform across the tracks. He hung around for a while before leaving and allowing me to continue my search.
Thankfully after reading the logs and knowing what I had to do to get to this cache I was prepared and brought my own tool. I definitely needed it! I have found hides like this before but never quite as tricky as this one! I retrieved the cache and made my way back to the car to sign the log.
As I was signing the log a car pulled up next to me and dropped off a bloke who was catching the train. I realised he was going to the other platform and quickly signed the log, hoping to get it back in place before he got down to the platform. I rushed to get it back to place but it wouldn't quite get into position. I used my tool to try and get it into it's spot but it wasn't working. The bloke had made it onto the platform and was now wondering what the bloody hell I was doing! I wish I too had a high visibility vest!
I managed to eventually get the cache back in place and then made my way onto the platform to pretend to take photos of the train timetable. I drove all the way home with a big smile on my face having ticked this one off the list!
TFTC cheers

Warning this post will contain spoilers as had to fix my mistake from yesterday (30.7.14)!!!!
So after seeing that this one needed maintenance i did the classic geocaching motto or a least mine which is "nah it'll be sweet ill find it".
Well it turns out I did find it but retrieving it was a completely different story. (spoiler alert) After seeing the cache had come loose and fallen into its hole it was now resting on a screw. After my failed attempts at retrieval I inadvertently caused the cache to fall about halfway down the hole. It was stuck...I was stumped and I realised I needed proper tools to fix this one and my mistake.
Today (31st) i returned with my toolbox, hardhat, high visibility vest and traffic cones which deters people from asking me what i'm doing and after some unscrewing and using a little help from Archimedes I finally retrieved the cache. I hope you don't mind mr Jamsam but I have now fixed the cache as I couldn't leave the GZ knowing that I lost your container.

As mentioned in my log, CO will need to attend GZ with fishing gear, and some fresh sticky stuff.
With the satellites and my gnex not playing nicely together here, I stood back and took in the possibilities.
One method of hide stood out as a clear contender, and a selection of various destructive objects strew about confirmed my suspicions.
A quick jiggle and I had it... Kinda... It appears the cache has come unstuck from its camp and is a lot harder to extract than I suspect it should be.
Thanks so for for this clever little micro.

After coming here several times and being unsuccessful, it turns out I was looking in exactly the right spot, but my method of retrieval needed a 'tweak'. Helped by a friend, it was soon signed and put back whilst the bin man was lining a bin on the other platform.
Found with Rharzwor. Been here a couple of times before, but there was always too many people around to have a good look. Coming at night was a great choice. SL. TFTC.
2nd attempt at looking for this cache. New to geocaching so wasn't sure where to look at first. I didn't sign the log as I forgot my pen. You shouldn't need any tools to pull this one out just wiggle and jiggle like the hint says! 2nd find of the day after Stairway to Heaven.
When I first arrived around 8.30am there were muggles on the platform close to GZ, so I drove off to do 'Stairway to Heaven', and hoped that a train would whisk them away soon.
Upon my return there was only one lone muggle on the other side of the tracks so I plied my caching skills to find the cache hidden in a common type of hiding spot considering the objects around here. Thanks mj.

Woohoo! Finally found this one on the second attempt. After wiggling and jiggling almost everything, there it was. Really great hide! Didn't sign the log book, didn't have a pen. May need a bit of strength with this one, use the utensils around you.

Our first attempt at this one even With all the resent did not finds on the list. We found it! We looked around for about half an hour until deciding we needed help. Called fellow geo friend for a few hints. We had our feet at ground level and the nearby rocks came in handy to wiggle and giggle at a few different points until cashe was in hand.
As I was passing through Tascott after doing a school run with the grandchildren, I figured it was time to do a couple on the wrong side of the track that I hadn't got to previously. This was an easy find albeit a difficult extraction! Google satellite view took me to a very specific car space and I knew, provided the GPS co-ords were right, where the cache would be having seen a similar type hide previously. The co-ords were right, but I did need a tool from the car to help with the extraction. Thanks Mr Jamsam ... a clever hide that gives commuters hanging around waiting for a train something to do.
On our first attempt we could not found this cache but as we were passing today ( with ros65) thought we would give it another go. We wiggled and jiggled, pulled and pushed and came up with the goods. Loved the hide, it is there folks.
2nd attempt and found it. Very clever hide. The clue was very helpful as we did more jiggling and wiggling this time and successfully retrieved it.
Tot tweemaal toe gezocht op de heen en terug weg naar naar andere cachen en naar huis.
Maar niets kunnen spotten
Misschien met een extra hint zou ik het nog eens proberen.
Thanks.
On two occasions, wanted on the return trip towards to other caching and go home.
But nothing can spotting maybe with an extra hint I would give it another try.
Thanks from a belgium geocacher.
