Went with high hopes a year after I first looked for this on a trip to Melbourne. Thought I had a very big clue from an Adelaide geocaching lunch and someone arriving at the cafe asked if we were looking for the (words secret) and pointed it out. Thought I had the right extraction device in my pocket but met with much resistance. Oh well will have to wait for another year!
Found during our honeymoon trip. Almost 1 month driving through Australian country.
It was an amazing trip.
Thanks for this cache

The guy who works in the cafe knows where it is but we didn't let him tell us we will try again!
Didn't have the correct tool on our first visit. Thought I knew what I needed and headed back there today. Sure enough.... big smiley on this one )) TFTC
Woohoo, after a couple of attempts tonight's attempt was a great success. After logging in a nearby tb I wasn't going to go away empty handed. Great cache and great idea. In good order
Found it straight away, I even had to right tool in my pocket.
Dropped off a TB that wants to go to Belgium and picked up a TB.

Headed over the border with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat, Jack and muggle Alex.
Got little distracted here by a travel bug that doesn't want to travel,
but decided we knew which was the cache all along and soon had it open with tools from Sebastbat's pocket
Left a trackable cow and took a trackable duck too.

The perseverance of H_Quinn paid off. She really wanted this one and she got this one. Great cache and a favourite point. Left a PT. TFTC
I saw this one pretty quickly and was sure it was the cache... but we searched all around it for a while anyway before sitting down and trying it. After a few difficulties, we finally got it open. Good sneaky hide. TFTC
Absolutely amazing cache. Had a local wander with me for a while. Grabbed a trackable. Off we go.
Found at 12:28pm with Nush89. Awesome hide, took us a while to work out among countless muggles but well worth the effort.

A quick find of this clever cache. Thankfully my last tool that I tried was the magic one! Picked up a couple of TBs to continue on their journey. May have to return to drop off a couple more.

A quick trip to Melbourne with allrounder so she could run the wings for life run last night. Out in the city this morning before heading back to Canberra this afternoon. What a great cache. After finally figuring out how to get into the container, thr log was in hand. A favourite point for sure.

Great cache! Superb hiding, took as a while to figure out the exact location (almost got into electricity box), for sure asimilated with its surroundings! Thanfully for the GC lock near by! Definitely one of my fav in Melbourne. TFTC
18:50 705 Ha ha, funny, I still cannot believe it indeed worked I left here the Willy the Orca and Mr Duck but some bold geocacher (hey you, have you ever heard smthg about the rules???) grabbed it from me before I could have log it into the cache :'( Goodbye you two and farewell!
Arrived at GZ to hear the familiar "Getting close" chime of another geocacher co-incidentally arriving at same moment! Neither of us brought any tools along, bugger!
This one's on my TO DO LIST for next trip to Melbourne.

I have been searching for two hours looking for this dang cache lol. No help from any carpark attendants, muggles, or anyone else for that matter. I am a newer cacher so this one is a tough one! I think I know where it is however, I am a little nervous to attempt it as I am most likely wrong and I don't want to break something Hopefully I can continue a littler later but my stay here in Melbourne is short. Good luck!
This may be our best geocache find ever! How genius, after reading the few previous logs I spotted what I thought was the cache. My other half did not agree but I persuaded him to try. We had no tool so improvised with something I had in my bag. It worked! Love this hide gets a fave point. TFTC
So cool. Love this cache. But be warned, many local muggles will want to help you with this one (whether you want help, or not!). One in particular was lovely and helpful and indeed provided us with a tool to complete this tricky cache. We thanked him profusely for his help and support of greater Geocaching. He rewarded my geokid with an Easter egg! How bewt is that!! Gotta love Melbourne!

Stumbled across TB without realising, then came the voice "you're getting close"...
Tried all the implements in my pockets but nothing fitted... grrr
The owner of the voice is an owner of a tool and lent us his.
Visited some TBs and dropped one.

While wandering around CBD and Fitzroy, I found this cache. Found it in good order. Thanks for the hide.
So many favourite points to give out in the Melbourne CBD and this one topped them off!
What a great cache! I have no idea what this looked like before this cache was placed, but it seems like it has been there for years.... doesn't look like something you have placed..... really confused but that is the whole point of it and that is what makes this geocache just perfect!
This laneway was sooooo busy and the nearby carpark had lots of people walking into it. I sat around for about 10 minutes to wait for the perfect time to grab and replace the cache.

Now this one was right up my alley seeing as how it was only a short stroll from our hotel. Spotted the trackable straight away and after looking around for a few minutes soon spotted what was obviously the cache. While I was investigating more closely the same voice from a previous post said "You're very close". Then the voice said "Come see me when you give up". Me!! Give up!! Never!! When there was a gap in muggle activity I improvised with the only TOTT I had and was so pleased that it worked. What a fantastic spot right in plain sight. Definitely worth a fav. point. PS The voice was pretty impressed at the speed which we had found it
Yep, that's a pretty cool cache. Read through previous logs and had a bit of an idea what to look for....even better I had a whole heap of "tools" in my pocket for work! What I want to know is how does it work...? Very cool, always nice to have a decent sized cache in the city.
No idea what tool was required for this one. Pretty sure we had the hide but couldn't get in to it. Will come back with wire or maybe magnet next time we're in the big smoke. Left scratching our heads...
Found with BoabTree after following an unlikely brainwave. Very good! Took a TB
by Chance I was out for an early morning ride and just happened to be close when I looked up the geocache site to see what was near.
I found the TB first which is unusual but when reading the previous logs gave me hope and I have seen 1 other cache of this type before so I soon went fumbling in my pocket for a tool and sure enough I had 1 of the right design.
A quick retrieve and no muggles came close.
Brilliant hide thanks

#193 @ 10:05AM. Well, I have to say this was a very rewarding cache. I was down here for work and happened to be staying close by. So up early this morning to call past and take a look. Spotted the trackable right up and the very clever cache. However, was I in the right spot? With a number of muggles around and some very official looking people, I decided to make out I was on the phone for a while. Some time passed while I thought about the hide and read the previous logs. When I was about to give up and put it down as a DNF, suddenly a voice from above said "you're very close". Well obviously I wasn't expecting that and I think I might have needed a change of underpants. With a very kind chat, I knew what was needed. I returned back to the hotel and found the absolutely perfect tool for the job.
I returned an hour later and confidently walked up and retrieved the cache. Signed the log (with my heart beating out of my chest), waved a friendly hello and returned the cache to its home.
What a great cache and one that I'm sure I will remember for some time. FP from me.

What a terrible awful tragedy and the subsequent actions that followed. With the history in mind, I wandered along noting how different the area is now. Saturday morning was a good time to visit and I soon located this most clever hide. I can see why it has racked up so many favourite points, and will happily add another to the tally.

I think we found it! Unsure if this was in fact it, but we found a small coded object.

WOW! This was a clever cache. I sooo like caches hidden in plain sight. After looking in a couple of places and drawing some unwanted attention, I was wondering if I would pass this for another day. I couldn't see anywhere else except in a dirty dark gap in the wall that you could hide a cache. I could see some rubbish in there and wasn't overly keen on putting my hand in with it. Now I'm not going to give anything away so you will never know if I did or didn't unless you find it yourself. I must say that I was very impressed with the hide and thankfully had the necessary tools with me. A definite favourite from us. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
SisterCorny travelling Asia and Oceania for four month, stopping over in Melbourne for a couple of days after returning from NZ.
Day 3 brought us to downtown/CBD for sightseeing and caching, pretty busy on a sunny saturday afternoon, but also very nice and a lot of very well hidden caches. Another great day out!
Well, this one was the toughest one today: Arrived at GZ and pretty soon found the trackable and tried to open it... After reading some logs, we understood, that this is not the cache, but nearby. OK, we found something nearby looking suspicious but we could not open it with our tools. So tried different things and ideas, left the place frustrated, came back, one more try, no success, but now we definitely wanted that cache. So away to a little store and bought another little tool for 3$, returning, and BINGO, not we reached our goal. Very cool cache, of course another FP from us! TFTC

Spotted this one on google SV and sure enough, my expectations were proven to be true. Nice hide.
Sad story, makes one think that no death penalty is maybe correct but hopefully today's procedures are much better (more thorough). After all, he was cleared in our time.
That's not meant to soften the depravity of the heinous crime...

Second day in Australia with Junkys.
Our programm today is to visit Melbourne City.
We were real tourists today. We visited St-Patrick Cathedral, old Melbourne goal, Victoria State Library, several Melbourne gardens and lot of interressant streets.
During our day to visit this big city, we have also found some caches.
--------------------------
We had several ideas but any of them were correct.
We stayed 30 minutes but we didn't find it.
We found only the Trackable locker.
See you soon Dog-gone and greetings from France.

Finally! ! A tricky one, loved it. Geo hubby didn't agree that it was it at first but I persisted and we soon had it with the right tool. Attempted previously when we were new to caching and looked for ages with no luck, now we've had a bit more experience. ....success!
FINALLY! After 4 attempts and looking at completely wrong containers we finally got this smiley!
I was at an event recently that this CO organised so I asked him about this cache. I explained what we thought it was, where we thought it was and it. was. wrong!! So wrong!
So armed with the right information we made our way back to Melbourne for today's smiley.
We made it to GZ, the littlest and I fighting for rights to open the cache. I won - I'm bigger... and cooks the littlest food so it wasn't really a competition.
I'm so happy we finally have this sneaky, way out in plain site cache smiley. Definitely worth every fave point it gets!
Another find by the McPhail family.

Café with muggles in opposite... raining, shitty lock... no key.
Sorry... my australian english is not the best... and normally I hate swearwords... but in this case...
I did not really understand what the preloggers wanted to tell me.
(für die Deutschen: Ich stand davor wie der Ochs vorm Berg)... ja kruzifix... schönes Schloß in Farben der Roten Liebe mit GC Gravur... aber wo finde ich den Schlüssel?
I thought in wrong n... the red lock isn't the cache... its nearby!
Great made! Just believe the hint!

Oh wow this is a COOL one. TFTC!! But how to release the trackable nearby? Hmmm
Oh wow, we (fb03 and geotild) took a slight detour to this one and we spotted the likely hide quickly but now what?? Nope not that nor that, finally that will do. What a great hide. TFTC Dog-gone
Very cool, very sneaky little cache!

When MW asked if we could do something that didn't cost money, I of course suggested a cache or two in the city, on the way to a long multi we stopped here and after sitting down for a while at GZ finally figured it all out, with the nearby trackable being a distraction. Nice cache , great to see that it's lasted so long
Like previous finders, I was pretty sure I was in the right place when I spotted the TB in plain view. Some recon from both sides confirmed I was on the right track but how to get in? Too many people around so I came back later that evening. After trying a few different ideas, the right approach became apparent just as a security guard wandered around the corner. Returning this morning before the city awoke, the cache was soon open and the contents revealed. A similar cache in Adelaide is also one of my favourites. TBs: 3 in and 3 out. TFTC Dog-gone! A fav from us.
2 attempts at this today. A few ideas but to many muggles at cafe/bar to have a proper go. Hopefully time to get back in morning before leaving.
In town after lunch in Richmond, after visiting Mrs Plow's mum in hospital in Kew, with a plan to do as many CBD caches as we can in the 2hours on our parking meter.
This one was the second we attempted, and we pondered for a while on which object was the container and then how to open the possible containers.
Spent a bit of time trying to open the red herring, but no luck there!
We didn't get any help from any parking attendants like the others before us. But I think I did see them having a chuckle when we had finished and went around the corner!!
Anyways, wow. We loved this cache and I can see why it has so many favourites. And yet another one from us.
It's hot out here, even in the shade of the alley ways, and the kids are only cooperating on the promise of a slurpee before we get back to the car.
TFTC Dog-gone!

We did a little reconnaissance and walk by, grabbed a nearby coffee (as you do when in Melbourne) , and headed back to GZ with some possible targets in mind. Spotted the cool Trackable before sitting down nearby to contemplate what to do...tried a few things...then we tried the obvious and we soon had a cache in our hot little hands!
By far the best cache we have found in a while and glad to pick this one up on the way out and back home. Thanks for a creative and fun cache Dog-gone.

Sightseeing tour through Melbourne with geocaching.
We had a coffe near by and studied the story of "murderer" Colin Campbell Ross.
We had a precise idea what to search for.
At the spot we were successfull and Mrs. Destination64 had a tool to open the cache.
A great spot and idea so we left a fav. point.
Tanks for this fun

I'm over from New Zealand for 4 days to do some geocaching and to attend the Surf Coast Mega Event in Anglesea. On my 4th and last day in Melbourne I headed into the city to pick up a few more caches before my flight out this evening. My GPSr really struggled in the alleys here, but I think I found the cache at GZ? I was traveling lightly, so didn't have much in the way of tools in my pockets, but I tried one and couldn't open 'the cache' but then again I might have been interfering with something I shouldn't have!? Took a photo anyway and continued on my walk. Maybe next time I'm in Melbourne...
So I'm sure I spotted the cache but way to many many lunch time muggles atriums for me to attempt it. I'll come back at night
Wow!!! This is the best container I've ever seen! Great clue, i wouldn't have found it without the clue or my colleague who had never been geocaching pointing out where it might be. Tftc!
I am visiting from Brisbane for work and took 2 of my colleagues geocaching after dinner, they loved it.

I was here earlier in the year with Hera and sarejeurgi, on a day when we had no luck with this cache. Admittedly we were on the wrong side of the road trying to open something that was never going to open!!
When we got home sarejeurgi put her detective hat on and sent through Google Street View pics of where we should look next time we could get into the city again.
Well, about a month ago, sarejeurgi sadly lost her 3 year battle with cancer. She was a positive lady, who got on with things and made the most of them. She ran an Amazing Race type event with us the day we were here last and she was in pain but she never complained and she loved every minute of it.
Sarejeurgi was spot on with her guess of where we would find the cache. Hera and I were meant to find this together and pay a little tribute to sarejeurgi but I was standing right at it today with my parents and couldn't resist a try. I almost couldn't confess to Hera, but I did, and she was OK with it. I will accompany Hera when she finds the cache too.
This is a great cache! My parents couldn't quite believe it. Thank you

Sneaky I had the clue sorted but was tricked at first by the red herring TFTC
I was visiting Melbourne from Perth. I was impressed by the brazenness of the hide. Sadly I was travelling without what was required. I was tempted to ask a passerby fro help but didn't want to risk the integrity of the hide. A favourite from me and I <3 geocaching, especially here in Melbourne. Thanks.
