No luck here tonight. Quite a few options fitting the hint, but nothing making itself known to us.
# #7,200 #----------This one was another no brainer here. After another DNF, my luck seemed to be very 50/50 in places today. Thats just a usual day for good old mmmPIZZA though. No problems at GZ here. TFTC!!! ----------> All geocaches are signed as mmmPIZZA or mPZ
A popular spot today and the carpark near GZ was full so we parked a little bit further away and walked to find this cache prior to the local event in the area. There were muggles around but thankfully they were interested or watching what we were up to. We had a quick find at GZ. Thanks for bringing us here and TFGC.Day three of my birthday long weekend and what better way to celebrate than by going geocaching with Lis's Crew. What a great summers day for caching in/around Devonport to coincide with the Dip and Strike Event at Narrow Neck Beach later this afternoon.
I'm down in Auckland for a geocaching weekend with Yvettetb. It was her birthday yesterday and I wanted some cache numbers to bring my December finds up hence the plan to hit Auckland. We did the walks in Long Bay Regional Park on Friday, walking 18.7kms and got 30 caches (including AdLabs). Saturday we cached around Lake Pupuke and got 27 caches with 10.8kms of walking. Today we did Devonport so we could attend the Narrow Neck Event. Only 9.3kms walked today but it was very much up and down the mountain at North Head. 16 caches for me today. It was very busy in this area today. We parked down the road and thought we just had time for one more cache before the event. Thanks to the good hint it was a quick find despite nearby muggles, TFTC
Up this way again with KGD and ABCDF4But in a different areaSome great hides thanks to the CO
After the event we were decided to have a look for this one. spotted the cache as I walked past so directed the other to it as I went and created a distraction. Not sure why why I am a distraction a week out from Christmas but cache was signed and replaced. Thank you for the placement.
Another fun find, a bit of a reach the cache is all good. Thanks with rustynz after the nearby event
A bit of a reach, happy to be at the right height for this one. With a group that had been at the nearby event.A fun find, lots of muggkes enjoying the beach on a fine day
Day 11: North Shore and the CityToday was the day I claimed by 8000th milestone, and what better way to do it than with an elaborate gadget cache to cap it off. We headed off early today to get up to Castor Bay, and it still took almost an hour in the traffic. After that, I went down to Takapuna, while the family headed off for their own things. After that, it was a ferry ride from Devonport into the city to meet up with the wife for the train ride home. A very nice slate of caches again today, I continue to be impressed with what you Auckland cachers come up with in tricky urban environments. Thanks for the inspirations and for keeping the game as fun as it is! (End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:The wife wanted a quick bite at the cafe before heading into town, so we ordered our grub at the Narrow Neck Beach cafe, and this was nearby. After we parted ways, I went for this one, and man, this place was crawling with little muggles today. I hope my searching wouldnt attract too much attention, and fortunately, with the precise hint, this one was easily settled. I hastily left GZ after that, so as to not attract any more attention. TFTC!
An afternoon at leisure whilst my partner caught up with friends. Lets head to Takapuna to see what I can see. Not quite your average pill box but itll do. This one took a bit of searching but I won through after narrowing down the options. Thanks G_2#4748Logged using Cachly.
First find this morning. Today accompanied by Pyphant, who still cannot log the find, since he still doesn't have a premium account... Pyphant quickly found it.Nice hide Tftc
#418Had a good idea of what to look for based on the title and description. Found the cache sitting snug in its spot. Thanks for the recent replacement, all good here. Now its off to the beach! (Edited to clarify that I meant me, not the cache!)
A new and windy day and got across the bay looking for some more smileys. Thank you for the cache!
Last cache for today. I can't believe it's been 7 years and a bit since I DNF'd this! Time flies alright, anyway, I thought it was high time I got back here for another look. I'm on my e-bike today, came over the shore to get one cache for my streak and ended up with 2 ftf's and 4 more caches in total, not bad, not bad! Excellent hint meant I was on my way quickly, glad it's a Sunday today, hardly anyone around to bother me. Now to meander my way back to Devonport and the ferry and train back to Henderson. Thanks G for the hide.
. Thought I’d struck gold, but turned out to be an old plastic soft drink bottle jammed I very hard. Couldn’t get it out, and assumed this to not be the prize.
WildTulip had been here before and made a find. Hint very specific. Nothing to be found today though.
Found yesterday on ground so replaced where I believe it had potentially falllen from....
Great spot! Interesting facts about the pillar boxes too! Had to have help by my mom and she’s the one that found it too haha. TFTC
Was in the area today to collect cache numbers and with a few adventure labs nearby, decided upon here for the task......Parked right besides this one and soon had it in hand, luckily as the carpark was starting to get quite busy.....
Cache is all good, signed in as SAC sometimes to save space in the logbooks.....

First ever cache found. Took a bit longer than it should have. Seems really fun though
M24: a muggle was in his car eating and chilling, so I retrieved the cache from the opposite side so that i was out of sight. Yeah... a nice and easy cache to find here.

Had some stuff to pick up from my mum's house in Devonport so headed over there after work today, via this cache for my dot day. (Have since realised it actually wasn't a dot day after all.) Nice easy find. Carpark was busy today with trailers & filming equipment... wonder what they are working on?
Thanks for the cache (#1581)

After a string of clever hides this simple and quick find was a nice change of pace. Thanks!
I was out today visiting the Takapuna and Devonport Queen's Birthday markets and on my way back decided to stop off here and grab a few caches.
The bus stop was right next to this one, so it was a logical first choice and I had the cache in hand quicker than I was expecting. It is a really interesting tree. Thanks for the cache #1385

I was looking at the wrong stump. Go Mr Squirrel...put his hand straight on it.Got to be positive here. Great hint.
First one post lockdown. Got Daddypig123 to park right next to the tree, and a quick find exactly where it said it was.
After a wee storm the morning before the carpark was flooded & after a bit of a search with nothing we stood back for a think & saw cache on the muddy ground. Signed in & returned as per the hint

Passing close to here before heading back and placing a new Multi cache. A quick stroll across the field and I was alongside GZ, and a Q E F ensued as per the hint.
Today is a 5-day, a self-imposed 'improve to double digits day', another milestone (or is that another millstone?) towards world/stats domination - or not. With a plan to work from home for the afternoon, and having been over at Devonport (and placing a new cache) I was set to start to reel in some of the many options available on my (convoluted) route home. Ended up finding 7 caches, with 2 DNFs so not too bad.

Due to the history of the area we were looking for a different kind of pill box! Easy find once at GZ. SL TFTC
Way back in February Isis58, no.13 and I planned a trip to Auckland for the planned Mega event. When Covid struck and the country went into lockdown we decided to wait and see what happened - - that was less hassle than trying to get refunds on our flights anyway. Well, of course the Mega event was cancelled but luckily for us, flying was an option again by Labour Weekend. We changed some of the details of our trip but decided we would fit in as much caching as we could. We were joined by Mrs SoBad. We visited some amazing places, fitted in some walks, came across lots of people - - lots of traffic too. A huge thank you to the COs for hiding caches which presented us with puzzles to solve, took us to great places, were cleverly camouflaged, were cunningly hidden - - sometimes in plain sight - - all of the above and of course an equal thank you for the ones that just gave us one more smilie. We really really appreciated them all. Thanks !
Found with inss on this great day geocaching in Auckland.
Had to wait for muggles.
Thank you for the Cache

The area had been looked at before we went to the beach, but there was a car parked in what might have been the wrong place. On our return, it had gone and the cache was quickly found. However, another person had spotted activity and asked what we were doing. The easiest thing is to tell the truth - and we had a short conversation but his main interest was in talking about Nelson.
Thanks.
Thanks.
yes pill boxes are facinating and I've found a few of the real thing and hundred's of the other kind. We had quite a discussion here with a guy with a cute little westie who also had family connections to Nelson. TFTC # 15,949
Found this instantly today as i saw it was replaced! Super awesome sunset on a lovely saturday evening! TFTC
Hehe no muggles today because it. Is. Freezing made for a nice easy find today
Righto I’ve had enough of feeling like a loser today I’m going home, G-2 you win again!
Cant find it. Probably still there but 15 minutes of looking made me give up. Will come back later
Nice easy find in an attempt to complete my Date Found calendar this year. Definitely going to be a challenge. Cache is in good condition here. Tftc
We were in Auckland New Zealand for the second of two days on Holland America’s Amsterdam. We had a free day, so we took the ferry back over to Devonport for the day. We love that town and wanted to explore more of its little neighborhoods. So we walked about 10 miles around many of the neighborhoods – what beautiful houses – and collected 11 caches along the way.
Thank you to G-2 for 8 of these and the other COs for the other 3 caches.

Out here today to do a decent walk with themexikiwi and get some steps towards Steptember at the same time.
Round and round we went, with nothing showing itself until one final look after we'd decided to flag it and there it was...
Nicely hidden and off to the next one - TFTC

Missed this one a couple of years ago when it was missing. Quick find this time while stopping for the toilets across the road... thanks!
Circled the location a few times then some muggles pulled up nearby so decided it was time to leave
