We headed off this afternoon with ButtonsDice in our 4WD to grab a few of the geocaches on the road to Sandy Point. This was our first stop and I must admit we dithered about the 150m walk into the bush today. Eventually we mustered our courage and headed in with the GPS counting down. Once we were at GZ, we wandered around a bit trying to spot the cache until it was finally located. It turns out we'd all walked straight past it! [:p] It took a good bit of co-operation for us to get the container out and I owe a big thanks to Buttons who was protecting us from the swarming hordes of mosquitos while we worked. Once we'd signed the log, we hot-footed it back to the road and the safety of the car with only one slight detour when Dice led us slightly astray....Favorite point from us 'cause we enjoyed this immensely. Thanks for find #5056TNLN

Caching in and around the area, we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.

After completing the CRY series we tackled this one, took some time to complete, but got there in the end. Mozzies we at their best today! Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks Temingi for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After completing the CRY series we thought we would venture further up the road and grab this cache. Thoroughly enjoyed the hunt for the cache and the cache itself.
A FP from us

Definitely a favorite from me. Spent 1.30hr looking for this using phone, had to ring pjstks to bring out the gps. Found in 2 mins. Definitely not what i was looking for, great hide this one. I recommend taking to pens as the sticks around are to rotten, skinny fingers will do with add benefits of free blisters. Good for the family in dry weather, bugs are abundant .

Hi there Temingi.

We found your cache **"Emergency"** at 9:48:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 20404).

While we are in Yeppoon we thought it would be a good idea to re-visit some caches that we had DNF'd or avoided on our last visit (in 2014), so we headed out towards Capricorn Resort to attempt them first. Then we did a couple more before deciding it was too hot and headed back to the caravan for some lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.

We found 7 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels. We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache about 4m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Great walk through the scrub thanks for the cache favourite of the day

Found it.....eventually Wink the geo partner shed blood, I sweated, thankfully there was no cause for tears, tho the way the gps was dancing about we went pretty close. What a terrific cache. Loved this one and of course the adventure getting to it makes it that much sweeter. Took us some complicated flute practice to get this one. We managed to coordinate ourselves into a duet after a while... And voila.. Log signed. All is well here tftc. Now where is the car...?

Well this one had a different style of cache retrieval. After a bit of fumbling the cache was in hand.
Thanks Temingi for this one. A fav point for your effort.

Can't do one emergency without having another - so temingi encourage me to go for this cache too. I think he wanted to show me something! Smile

Thankfully we were well covered with the Bushmans, but temingi insisted that the mozzies weren't too bad today. Geez, I'd have to be here in wet weather then! Surprised

What a great cache! No wonder you wanted me to see it. Very clever - one I shall try to emulate back home somewhere. [:X] Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, temingi!

Found at 10.20am on 25th May 2016. TFTC.

good thing there was no emergency here today, there was no hurry in finding the cache. Snoop and I didn't see eye to eye at all, Blood was spilled by Mum several times.
Log signed where did we leave the car??
we walked in the direction of where we thought it was but didn't see too much that seemed familiar.
Then Mum spotted the car maybe its a good thing its obvious after all. I ended up about 10 away from it but Mum managed to come out where she went in.

Parked up and took a stroll in the park, but not today! Not here!

Our geoSnoopdog was with us for this adventure.

Just after we set off a ute went by, then it returned and stopped next to our Geomobile, We are a bit, no very obvious, so when your parked up in the middle of nowhere people seem to stop. Luckily they moved on and so did we, in the right direction.

Snoop caused Ratdog lots of problems not being a real geo dog like our Rattus.
we narrowed down the meters and finally we arrived at 2m.
Ratdog saw the prize almost straight away, bonus. She made the retrieval too.

TN LPT( for next finderBig Grin ) SL
Fav point I feel.
TB's all visit as this is not a cache for any of them
TFTC Temingi good find rate today not like yesterday.

4th stop for the day
... and one of my caches targeted for this weekend
as I need some unloved numbers for a 'Challenge' Big Grin
bypassed the CRY series, overtaking a family out caching to ensure I got the numbers Big Grin
parked up and wandered over with no difficulty
... thanks to the dry weather [^]
then wandered around in circles for a bit before the prize was sighted [^]
... but hang on Surprised ... there's more work required
eventually managed to get my hands on the cache and leave my name in the logs
I can't understand why it appears to be so unloved [?]
... surely a little water can't put that many people off ...
but I might have to come back and have a look when it's wet too Big Grin
nice one Temingi [^]
gets a favourite from me ...
a few TB's visited too

We came, we saw how much swamp water was about, so left.

Parked by roadside closest to cache decided I didn't want to walk in there - I will return with Gum Boots.

Despite many caches in Australia and nearly 3 million km of distance I am embarrassed to say this is my first and only QLD cache. Only had leg power and a few hours to make a grab from the nearby resort. Decided on quality rather than quantity so this was the chosen one. Being a soft Kiwi I entered the bush with a big stick to clear the cobwebs and protect me from those Ozzie nasties. Arrived at GZ and walked around and around in circles with no idea what I was looking for. Must have walked within inches of the hide numerous times but couldnt spot the wood for the trees!! Stoked when I saw it finally but of course the fun didnt end there. A long 5 minutes to extract the cache but only a second to replace it. Easliy earns a fav from me. Pity I didnt have more time as it looked like a great area to explore. TFTC

Found at 3:32 PM in the company of Temingi GAFF1. GPSr took me on a nice little arc around GZ and then suddenly after battling through a jungle full of cob webs a strange item appeared and my heart sank as I knew exactly what had to be done - but it was going to take ages Sad
Why does it have to be way out here I yelled - and little voice suddenly said - because it is "000" - oh I see [:o)]
Thanks Temingi.
ps: A favourite point for hte unexpected.

Didn't check this cache after the HEAVY RAIN we've had. I'm sure that those who have found it would agree that it's sure to be dry.

27-Dec-12
Grabbed this one early this morning. The mozzies would have carried me away if I stood still for too long, so not only did I have to go slow and steady for the cache but had to dance around to keep the mozzies off! TFTC

All I can say about this cache is your a nasty old man with to much time on your hands. I got scratched, covered in web, stung by wasps. To make things worse the cache had already been found so no FTF. Some medicinal alcohol in the cache to sooth my pain would have been good. SL

Joint "FTF" with Bedmaker while in Rockhampton for the events this weekend.
As Bedmaker said in his log this was a memorable one for me.
I do not like spiders!

But it was still a cool cache Temingi, TFTH

"FTF" with Tassiegirl.
We'd been power trailing up the resort road slowly ticking off those caches.
With that completed we continued up to do the couple in this area.
When we arrived at our parking area we started reading the cache notes and realised that the “FTF” might still be available.

With this information you could imagine we were somewhat eager to get to GZ now. We legged it in, the area was a little overgrown in places but we found our way eventually and arrived at GZ.
We looked around and soon spotted the ......mmmm cache?

Slow and steady got us there with a little precaution placed here and there so we didn’t have to start again.

I almost had the cache in hand when a HUGE Huntsman decided to let me know this was his home.
That was the last of saw of Tassiegirl for 5 mins, she was hiding behind the nearby trees.
I managed to persuade the Huntsman to let me have the cache so I took it over to TG (she wasn’t going anywhere near GZ) and we opened it up to see no one had found it yet.

Mr Huntsman by this time had gone hiding back in the cache holder. I tried again to get him out but he wasn’t moving. Unfortunately all I could do was put the cache back with him trapped underneath it. He wasn’t dead so the next finder might want to be aware, he could be a bit hungry and a bit angry.

We both loved this cache not only for the “FTF” but also the adventure we had getting it.
Sorry for the late log.
TFTC.
