There is a new path and new bottom step… but no cache that I could see.

06-Jan-21
Stage 2 of a little journey that began and ended with a Bloodnut.

I had wandered right by here a couple of times before, but that was during the time of COVID-restricted wanderings and I wasn't in the business of looking for caches then. This time I followed the hint and with no muggles anywhere in sight made a very quick and easy find. TFTC Smile

Great day to be out and about. Today we ventured back to the west within our 25km limit, exploring within our boundaries.
Great to have found another piece to this awesome series. Just did a search - seems like I still have another 8 left to find. Looking forward to all of them.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, tackle_head

01-Nov-20
Melbourne’s open and it’s a long weekend so time for another caching trail with OzHockeyChick and GT37 in our overlapping 25kms zone.

Always good when you put your hand straight on the cache.

Thanks tackle_head for the cache.

After a long hike yesterday and a DT3, it was time to look for something local today. Parked a distance away so that I could stretch my legs. Thanks for more Mad Max facts.

03-May-20
I was out for my Sunday morning isolation walk and managed to come past a few caches in the neighbourhood that I hadn't tried previously. This one was a little out of the way and the good news was that there was no-one around as I approached GZ. I spotted a likely target and soon after moving in I had the cache in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache tackle_head. I still haven't seen this classic movie but I've found caches at enough of the movie locations to make me want to.

01-Mar-20
Nice one! I’ve never watched the movie but I do like the reference to it. Might have to watch the scene on YouTube. TFTC

19-Jul-19
Out tonight trying to get some caches for this new challenge. This was a nice quick find, great location and series, I will have to go watch the movies again!

12-Jun-19
While visiting at a nearby hospital, took the opportunity to pick up this cache which was nicely placed. Judging by the amount of cigarette butts nearby I can only imagine how many people have sat here with no idea that there is a geocache here. I can also imagine that at some times of the day it might be impossible to collect .. but not today .. it was a quick and easy find.. thanks tackle_head for placing this cache

26-May-19
A quick and easy drive by cache. Log all looks to be in good order. Thanks for the cache!

11-May-19
Straight forward find, TFTC

03-May-19
Really need to watch this movie.

27-Apr-19
Even when I was at school this was an old movie, but the boys at school loved it - “I am the Nightrider...” and “Johnny the Boy has done it again” were quoted in any suitable occasion and that turned out to be pretty much every occasion. Funny to think it’s 40 years old now, but this location still is instantly recognisable from the film. Thanks tackle head

04-Apr-19
Great find thanks for the hide

02-Apr-19
Found @05:23am on my way to work. I’ve driven passed this everyday for over 4 years and finally decided today was the day I would stop. Very quick find with the help of the hint - a surprising amount of muggles around even at this time of morning. TFTC And the little bit of local history!

22-Mar-19
Found it with kangas11 BeckNmonts and Papi4506
Thanks for the cache

Thanks to the hint, the cache was found quickly today. Lucky as the parking may not have been strictly legal! Thanks so much for placing this cache tackle_head

11-Mar-19
Now I have not had any luck finding any caches in this series. We have previously looked for 2 and both ended in DNF's. So while out chasing handbags toady I was hoping that 3rd time would be a charm, and it was.

TFTC tackle_head.

11-Mar-19
Visiting goose in the old folks home for the long weekend

11-Mar-19
I love mad next but not $2 for extra guacamole

15-Feb-19
I complied with the hint and an easy cache was found. I expect that I would have had a little trouble finding it without the hint as my GPS was showing me 27 meters from where I was. TFTC.

20-Jan-19

04-Jan-19
This is my No2 in the Mad Max series. I did Jessie’s in Black Rock yesterday and am in the area today. Visited a TB and left.

Took way more time to retrieve the log than it did to walk here. All ok
Thanks

07-Oct-18
A logistical challenge was set today that involved the stealth bike and possible caching. Full charged I set off and worked out a possible route. The hunt made for a fast find here. Thanks to tackle_head for placing this cache.

I thought that this cache was easy. I had found it in about three seconds flat. TFTC

20-Jul-18
Since I was passing by I just had to sneak this one(5th of the day) in. So I did. It was pretty quite around, not a soul. As I approached GZ I spotted likely hiding spot and after brief look around the change was in my hands.

Cache is in good order.

03-Jun-18
I had an operation here as a kid Very Happy. Nice hop on - hop off the tram cache!

17-May-18
I'd headed to Melbourne on the 5th May for a weekend stay to see Priscilla: Queen of the Desert CoolSmile
Instead there was a mammoth change in my plans when the Corolla suddenly needed new brakes Surprised [xx(] which led to needing new tyres Surprised[^] which led to needing a new wheel bearing Surprised[xx(]Sad
So a weekend turned into almost 3 full weeks and my HUGE thanks to the very patient and tolerant kmace who not only provided accommodation for myself but also for Rex [:X]Smile[:X]
Having your home invaded by a rabid geocacher Razz who gets irritated when they have no car to go and find caches because it is in the workshop [xx(]Wink and a pup who shreds his toys all over the house is not an easy ask for a day or two: let alone 20 odd days! SurprisedRed Face[:X]
Rex also loved the beaches and the seagulls so there were many walks on the beach, some in pouring rain and gusting winds but that's what being a dog owner is about [^]Wink
During this time some fantastic caches were found SmileCool and some adventures occurred Big Grin[^]CoolWink
My thanks to all of the COs for the fun Big Grin and the finds Smile[^]

Days 12 and 13 of the trip and the cache run on the 16th continued up until 2am on the 17th Surprised[^][)]Wink by which time 13 geocaches had been attempted and only 1 DNF Sad occurred so that meant 12 finds Smile were made.
What made day 11 really special for me was that I drove to Deer Park on the other side of Melbourne to see my sister Cool[^]
She had unloaded and reloaded the semi she was driving from and back to Adelaide and so while she was waiting to be able to leave and start homewards, we grabbed KFC for lunch and then found No Swimming together CoolSmile[^] Hell of a great way to start a day's cache run! [:X][^]Cool
Then in the afternoon of the 17th, 5 Smile caches were found while Rex had a wonderful time doing the Langy Circuit as he got to play with a variety of lovely dogs as we wandered from cache to cache [^]CoolBig GrinCool

I loved Mad Max as a kid but geez it's been years since I've watched it!
Thankfully that did not stop me from finding the cache quickly with no muggles around at 12.30am CoolSmile

LouJean70, GeoUncle and I stood back and watched as GeoDaughter made this discovery. TFTC

Found with geo-dad and cousin ASP84. Didn’t know about the Mad Max history here, but my sister was born here in 1974. Thank you

17-Dec-17
After a long day busting my gut in the garden I decided to grab a quick find on the way to the supermarket, (admittedly, it was in the opposite direction, but don't tell the hungry Geofam and we should be sweet)

GPS bounced around a fair bit here, sending me elsewhere in the area that felt a little 'off', but settled after a min or two.

Only one place it could have been after that.

Thanks tackle_head for the cache.

28-May-17
Woohoo! Another Mad Max cache!! Each time we find one Sean.75 shows us part of the movie. One day I'll be able to say I've watched it all, but maybe not the way it's supposed to go. Lol. Tftc and the series so far.
