Had quite a search but didn’t come across this one. Pretty sure we had the right coordinates.
I lovely little multi cache. Took me a little while to find a prize at GZ. Didn’t have my caching eyes in

Hunting some caches in the Eynesbury area this afternoon with 3/4 of Team.Roberts1 today and it was time to attempt this one again (for me that is, it was over 8 years ago I logged a DNF on this one and haven't been back since) Got to the published coords and started getting the answers (and of course I couldn't see any arrows but was able to work out where to go!) and started the walk to GZ. The area I went to was familiar and this time the cache was soon in hand. Thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for this one.
Someone else signed before me but didn’t log yet. I wonder if I’ll catch up with them?
Our first completed multicache! I'm not a huge fan of puzzles but I have to admit, it was pretty rewarding!
Having been home for a few days I decided to head out on a short mid week adventure. I headed out west to explore some caches in an area I have not been before.
Had to guess the answer to the first question as there was no arrow in sight. Based on the description was able to come up with some coordinates that lead to GZ and a quick find. Some nice unloved here. The stairs would be to help people mount horses for riding?
Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for the cache.

This geocache is currently disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis in compliance with current restrictions on non-essential travel.
For the welfare of all I feel there is no choice in the matter as the virus is transmitted by surface contact and geocaching by nature, is a game that involves touching.

Out to find a few caches for my last caching day of the year. I chose this area as I have found a few here previously and had still plenty more to target. I also decided to try and make it to the intervening days event in Melton later in the day. It was a hot day with lots of dust and flies but a satisfying total of 49 caches in all to clock over my 2000th find for the calendar year. After parking up at the suggested place I set off on foot to find numbers 11 to 19. It was great to get the history lesson along the way too. I had collected the info on the way out, corrected thanks to the hint and headed to look for this on the way back. A muggle around looking up into the trees (photographing birds I think) but I was able to head to where I needed to and make the find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache and the series 6Hinemoa2.
Dec 3, what a beautiful walk, sun setting in about 1 hr, crickets singing ,bunnies everywhere. Thank you for a wonderful walk
Caching in the area we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
We enjoyed the stroll along this trail collecting the required info that gave us a set of co-ords to find GZ. Cache and contents were in good condition and adding to our favourites
Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Thought we might have been on the wrong track when we started trekking out "bush", but we finally found the cache.

We were caching in the Eynesbury area today and as it was fine and overcast we decided to do the walk, check out the historic buildings and find some caches.
We started by a visit to the stock holding yards. We did wonder at the steps to nowhere. Cant see what they would be used for here. Dont think stockmen would use them to mount horses and they usually stood on the fence rails to look out across the packed yards.
We collected the data needed and entered it for use when we were closer to GZ. After finding Eynesbury 13 we continued around the track then cross country towards GZ. As we got closer we noticed a very nice old post and rail fence and a solidly built dry stone wall. A sideways glance spotted an object not usually seen in the wild. It was in the open not far from a possible hide. On closer inspection we found the log sheet.
After signing the log we tucked the container into the spot we had previously identified and covered it well. The hide is consistent with the cache page information and the final coordinates.
Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for a nice multi cache in a very interesting spot. Cache and contents were in very good condition. We felt sad to see the area so dry and hoped that the thunder that was rumbling around would bring some useful rain - preferably after we had returned to our car.

Although the arrow has faded, I was just able to make it out, after a few moment of panic. I calculated GZ, and then wondered if indeed it was correct. It didn’t look right. I recalculated, read the hint, but indeed, my first set were correct. So off I headed, and found the cache not quite in the obvious spots, where I checked first, but not far from it! Thanks for a great multi 6Hinemoa2
Terrified a lizard but didnt find anything. Detailes wouldn’t load either
Eleventh on today's run with JelenaGreenleaf. Yep we should have done this before going in to do the rest. It was fun walking back to GZ. Tftc
Found with georocks101. We are clearly not doing this series in the correct order. Oh well another walk in the forest didn't bother us. This time we saw heaps of rabbits instead of roos. Nice final location. We tried to cover up the cache a bit more just in case. Thanks!
Out with omegaman1971 grabbing a few caches on foot this afternoon and we soon nutted out a reasonable set of co-ord's and then picked up the cache as we wandered about. Managed a quick find, thanks 6Hinemoa2 for the straight forward little multi and walk.

Was great to get of the track and explore more of this interesting place.

I made a mistake obtaining the info for this one and didn't realise until I was at GZ, it was getting late so I decided to leave this one for next time. Thanks anyway.
Wasn't too far away this afternoon with a work appointment so instead of heading home after I thought I would stay in the area a collect a few Local cache. A nice variety of hides, a few drivebys on what I hopped would be quiet roads be geeeeeeeeeee they were busy as. A nice hike out too, and I stuffed up trying to get to the car so I ended up 2km away from where I thought I left the care. Oops not paying attention. Thanks for the fun, will pop back one day and collect the rest. Tftc
Found as part of my Multi Month Challenge Cache. Second on in Eynesbury today, GZ was easy to work out but when we got there we thought we might be wrong. Then we found a usual cache hiding spot and there it was. TFTC
I was out west with Biggles Bear today with the aim of starting at Cobbledick Ford and ending up with four of the legends caches. However, we did start off with a few along the way before our chosen start point. At the published co-ordinates we grabbed the required answers and considered the stairs. BB#1 worked out what the holding pens were for, and the answer to the stairs was obvious. I now note that previous finders have come up with the same answer.
We walked out to GZ, skipping the other caches along the way as Biggles Bear had already done them. (I must come back to do them myself sometime).
My thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for the cache.

We decided to head to Eynesbury to complete this series for no more reason than it was there, but it turned out to be a fun and interesting outing. We took the geodog who loved the walking part getting to chase a few rabbits and we were able to find all but one of the caches. Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for the series and making us aware of the history here.
Detour off the track had us making the rabbits run which the geodog loved until he ran into a fence. The cache had us scratching our heads before we realised we had already looked it over. Nice hide.

Looking to move closer to a milestone I'd decided to visit Eynesbury in the hopes of increasing my finds to 999 as I had a particular Melbourne cache in mind for my 1,000.
Although some of the hints were cryptic almost all the caches had spot on co-ords making a find a fairly easy process.
Thanks for creating this interesting and informative series.
After having a DNF on my last attempt at a multi I was feeling a little uncertain BUT there was nothing to worry about. I gathered all the required information easily, worked out the final co-ords easily and a good thing too since I hadn't put on mosquito repellent and was beginning to be seen as a particularly juicy morsel for those blood suckers.
A tip for those to follow. Given we are now entering summer it's better to tack in from the main path when you are almost parallel to GZ as walking in a diagnol line form the corner of the building may interrupt our slithery friends inadvertently.

Decided to che ck out Eynesbury. Found the homestead and area amazing, and of course managed to pick up a number of caches along the way. Enjoyed a wide variety of great caches. A great multi, got to explore the shearers quarter while waiting out a rain storm. TFTC
Got to waypoint one where we gathered information, the hint certainly helped us here. I had no idea what the stairs were however Captn roverman explained it's to get up on horses - makes sense! Great multi, passed some interesting pieces of history on the way to gz. Thank you for this cache.
lol l reckon l know what the stairs are used for as have used something similar before but was happy to understand how this cache all folded out and glad with the smiley at the end of it

Out for an afternoon to get a few geo's in Eynesbury. Beautiful day considering it has been so cold and snow last week.
Easy one, even though forgot to add the amount of taps. Once we got to GZ then started adding +1 taps etc, found soon after. Nice view looking back at old buildings.

3 multis here, and all 3 dnfs , with no phone signal I had only a few logs to read and they didn't help , hint didn't help either, another time maybe
The color on the markers is almost completely faded. Soon will be impossible to tell.
Are the steps there to enable kids to climb on the horses?
Nice little multi that took us somewhere we would not normally have gone.

Didn't find this one on the walk out so had to go bush again on the return by which stage I was penless. I found the A value the trickiest; there truly didn't seem to be any of the colours mentioned but I saw some twine that matched a colour and it seemed to fit the need to be between #13 and 14 so I went with it. Thankfully you provided the hint for B cause I had the wrong value; I think I had the wrong left pen somehow. Anyway, thanks for another cache out in this lovely area.

Grabbed the data at WP1, then dropped in to GZ between #13 and14. Took a while, but eventually found it. Cheers!
Lucky us for guessing the end co-ords, it didn't come up on our GPS, so we took a punt, and guessed!, we got the clues, but didn't know the order they went in!.... New Geokid found this one. TFTC
Straight forward find due to accurate co-ords, thanks. Pleasant walk on a Sat morning. T4Bringing me here
The last in the Eynesbury series for me to complete after having finished the others off in two previous visits. I didn't look at the multi until I'd come back from the trail the last time and couldn't convince my 5 year old to back track so this one had to be saved for another time. After grabbing the necessary numbers quickly we set off for GZ and after originally overshooting our mark we quickly spotted the cache with the help of some accurate coordinates. Thanks for the cache and for all the efforts gone into setting up and maintaining such an enjoyable series. I'm glad to finish them all off finally but sorry that there aren't any more to do at the same time.
Maintenance run. Swaps not replaced this time. Thanks to all those who have swapped fairly.
Out for a walk this morning and a visit to this area to finish off the remainder of the series seemed like a good idea, even despite the weather outlook.
Scrub bashing, nice multi to take one off the beaten track.

TheRustyDuck was after some multis and wanted to do this cache. WP1 was quickly found and we arrived at GZ to be going round in circles looking for this one. We had decided to move on and at that moment TheRustyDuck found the cache. TFTC
I tried to find this cache previously but failed. Turns out my coords were correct, I just didn't find the cache. Well today with yellowdaisy135 I managed to right the wrong, and get one more smiley on the map. It was a bit of a tricky one, with plenty of hiding spaces to search. We were getting despondent when I finally noticed a glint and lo and behold found the cache.
Having collected the necessary information we continued onto the shearers quarters, wasted a lot of time looking in the wrong spots, so walked on to find the final of this one that I needed for my Multis in March challenge. This too took much longer than we would have liked, with much muttering about why would you put a nano in the bush when there are so many beaut places to hide something bigger?
People also need to know that there is no necessity to go through the fence.
This took so long to find we didn't have time to do the rest of this trail so we returned back to the car

Somehow managed to miss this one on the way out so solved on the way back to the car. Absolutely no data signal here to get navigator to load, and, tired and thirsty I decided to leave it til next time.
BTW, looks like a horse yard to me to prep horses for a trek, and the steps would then be to help people to mount.

Got it all ok TFTC took. iPhone not nice today had me 10mts out. After reading logs it may have a bit of cacher crepes.
Solved the final GZ but too tired to walk back and collect. Next time for multis and few missing hides. TFTC 6Hinemoa2

In a bid to shake off the effects of Christmas, I loaded the family (minus the Geomonkey who had escaped to Melbourne for a day's shopping with a friend) into the Geo6E and we headed towards Eynesbury to have a crack at this series which has been sitting on my map waiting for me for so long.
After a bit of a detour to grab a few other caches (including one bearing my name ), it was finally time to have a crack at this great series.
With lunch out of the way, it was time for a walk, so we headed off for a few more finds. Unfortunately when deciding how to approach this part of the series, we opted to find this cache later rather than sooner which of course meant some doubling back to get to GZ, however we offloaded the Geoboys to play at the nearby play equipment and set about some calculations.
As we headed towards GZ we were doubting whether our numbers were correct, but we were reassured by our surroundings and then by a glance at the hint. Despite this however, a find was not forthcoming. The GPSr refused to zero, but did have us in a likely area. It was not however until I widened the search area a little that I found the cache lying completely exposed next to the modern wire fence . It was undamaged and intact so I replaced it in a likely hiding spot (but don't know if it was the right place) and will email the CO a photo of the location.
Thanks 6Hinemoa2 !

We picked this cache up at 2:28pm. After having collected the clues, we strolled over to this cache via a nearby traditional. We hunted for ages before finding the tiny cache. Given the location we were both expecting something much bigger.
Day 2 of 4 for Sharkiefan's "get close to 300 finds before going to the US" project. After our massive day yesterday, today's plan was a little more sedate day of caching around Eynesbury, collecting the series of caches and anything else we could find along the way. We ended the day with a respectable 21 finds. Thanks for the cache and the series 6Hinemoa2.

It was good to return to Eynesbury as it has been a long while since I first came here to do this series.
I gathered all the required info at the herding yard, marvelled at the steps and made my way mostly by good tracks until I needed to cut off into the scrub.
Found in the first place I checked. Shouldn't have any muggle trouble here!
Thanks

I believe the steps to no where are to help get on the horse, maybe kids.

on a visit from Geelong with alchey. Bit of a search with unresponsive GPS and iPhone but got it after a few mins search. Tranquil spot, nice to listen to the bird song. Tftc.
We are catching up with some very late logs.
We met up with Elkins88 at "Eynesbury 1 Welcome" and are now traveling with them to do this series.
We got off to a slow start here but were soon collecting the required information and calculating our new GZ.
We did a few more of this series before getting here and then it took a lot longer than expected to locate. Not sure why because it was quite obvious when we did find it.
Many thanks once more 6Hinemoa2 for this very interesting series.

New to trackables so this was a good learning experience. Thanks to Robyn and Susanne for guidance. And thanks to you for the cache, hinemoa, they're all good.
What an intriguing area! No idea where the steps could have led. Found with Matilda's Tardis. Of course, went the hard way to this cache and came out the easy way. TFTC
Found @ 11:31pm, find # 3439.
Out with biggles1024 on our usual Friday caching run, but on a Saturday.
After 2 previous attempts at finding this series which resulted in us not making it here, we are finally here, even though this turned out to be plan B for today.
After a trip to Melton for some dinner, we had returned to the on foot part of this series.
For some stupid reason we bypassed this on the way though as we had passed GZ a couple times before heading back to the posted coordinates to work on the numbers.
Once we had the numbers, we headed back to where we had just come from. At the indicated GZ we started looking around in all the spots you could hide a cache ( there were a few ) but didn't find a cache, we stood back, had a think about it and started to look some more, when all of a sudden I had found it, but not where you would think it would be.

Find #1390
A somewhat impromptu caching run with Stemicmitsar today.
We'd made two previous attempts to do this series, once thwarted by injury (me) and the second by a car break down.
Tonight however, was different. Here we were and we were ready to find geocaches.
We gathered the information here without any trouble and calculated the co-ords for GZ. Looking at the topo map on my gps on which I had the track we'd walked displayed showed that we had walked right past GZ on our way back. We knew we should have started this multi on our outward journey but still elected to leave it until later. [:o)] Oh well. It wasn't raining and the wind had abated and if anything, it had warmed slightly so we headed back the way we came. We looked for quite a while until Steve made the find in a most unlikely place. It's good to keep cachers guessing once in a while. SL TFTC

Thanks for this multi. Looked hard at first with no luck. Then took stock and ended up finding easily.
This took us a little while longer than we thought. Geokid eventually made the find. It was an interesting area.
Caching today with Motndarg, Tomstache and $doo. We had earmarked this series and really enjoyed visiting yet another picturesque area of Victoria we never knew existed. Thanks so much for bringing us here. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the magnificent bluestone mansion. We will be back.

After collecting all the clues we were able to locate the cache . A nice walk in this area. Thanks
Fair old walk saw a roo and some nice bush landscape. Thanks for bringing me here.
Observations, calculations, all clear and we followed the yellow brick road, ahem, the blue arrows. Re. the stairs to nowhere: no idea!
We like how the old dry stone fence is protected from visitors by another fence. The well-hidden cache was located and logged after a brief search, and off we went to #14. TFTC

We thoroughly enjoyed this series of caches. The first 10 were good fun and we didn't expect the road to be so busy, 11 to 17 we enjoyed the walk most of all visiting the buildings Mr. Coffee took lots of photos of the setting sun with the buildings in the for front. All the hides were good to find and the way they were different.
Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for a fun afternoon,

Initially felt like I needed to be herded with this multi! The bottom line - persistence pays. After calculating the co-ords and going to GZ, doubt set in when I couldn't find the "suspect". So I did another calc, which set me off 350 odd meters in a totally different direction. Upon arriving @ GZ2, I realised that it was definitely not it, so returned to GZ1.
Again no joy, so decided to venture a little further off track and was on the point of giving up when out of the blue I literally walked on the cache!
Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for a wonderful cache & series. 10/10 in my books.

Final coords were slightly off for me, and I was about to give up when I nearly tripped over it.

After playing/caching around in the snow on Mt Macedon for the morning, there was time to grab a few in and around Melton on the way home. I came for the new traditional, I thought, why not? Last time this cache wash't here, it was missing. I walked past the first waypoint, I need a challenge, or so I thought. So I kept walking, I'll remember where to go. Surely. I looked for it twice last time, scouring the area. This cache owes me.
I walked straight past GZ and was kind of lost.
So I walked back, finding what I was looking for the first time! The tree, the logs on the ground, very familiar. I started looking. Nope. I checked some logs online. Nope. I started to get angry. I looked a little bit away from where I thought the cache would be and made the find pretty quickly. Damn this cache. Ha! Thanks 6Himemoa2.

Finally figured this one out after placing the incorrect co-ordinates in our initial search. We did receive assistance of the 2 Traveller's who are experienced cache's. Great series and well done with this one.

Searched around a bit for this one but GPS co-ordinates must be out as it showed a bare piece of ground. We are only new to Geo caching so we are obviously missing something important. Do not understand the clue concerning 9 posts. Will go back there a couple more times to see what we can find.
Checked on this only to find it fully exposed again. I re-hid it. Please return it to where it was concealed when you found it so others can enjoy the challenge.
Phone was running low on charge, so gathered info and figured I would grab this one (at the appropriate sequence) but had to leave for another day as phone went flat.
Decided to head to Eynesbury to get some geo-smilies, and this was the only DNF amongst a tally of 23 finds.
I did them all in sequence, except this multi which I left for later if I had time. So after getting up to the final (no.17), I came back to the parking lot to do this one.... gathered co-ordinates, and then realized I was heading back into the trail! Should have read the cache notes first. Got to GZ, and looked at several options with no result. I was quite determined to finish the series today, so I returned to WP1, recounted, tried a few different options for the co-ordinates, headed out to possible GZs, and still nothing. But it was still fun walking around here in a muggle-free zone.
Will have to return to do this one and complete the very enjoyable series by 6Hinemoa2.

Getting weary now as I did this one on the way back. Searched round and round at GZ, nearly gave up, then found it not where I expected to. Thanks 6Hinemoa2
