This problematic hide is a bit too far from my regular area to be maintained as often as it apparently needs to be. Time to free up this area for someone else to hide in.
Initially completed a search based on the clue, but then checked the owner maintenance log. With a new perspective I headed back in only to find what I assume to be its point of attachment. Photo attached.
Cache replaced - it's now a bison hanging from corner fencepost behind the line of trees. Enjoy!
Need to rethink this one. Passing by today but don't have any suitable containers - will buy some at the Mega and fix up this cache on the way back on Monday.

A six day road trip to the mega event in Wangaratta.
For the second day, I met up with Brewmaker in Goulburn and together we drove to our next stop in Gunning. Along the way we piicked up a wide variety of cache types.
This is in need of serious TLC. The stump is full of water as was the cache. Impossible to write on it.
TFTC!

Found while camped across the creek for a couple of days. Log too wet to sign. TFTC
TFTC. I couldn’t sign because it is wet and I didn’t have any paper with me. We are camping near the weir. Have walked all around the CBD and more. Sitting with my feet up as it was so hot walking around. What a lovely little town. Going to the pub tonight for dinner.
On our way home from Geelong we decided to drop in here for a break, but we’re unfortunately a little late for the cafes. So I checked the app and chose one of the few here. The cloud cover and trees obviously played a part in the difficulty in locating it but the hint led me there. To my dismay, the cache location was half full of water and the container itself was completely full as was the bag with what’s left of the log in it. I emptied the container of the water but could not empty the location, so just left it upright with the top up.
Needs urgent attention please.

No big spoiler in photo. Quite a little explore. Very thick and a few of the hints. Nice horses.
Cache was full of water. Log was safe in baggie. Dried it out a bit
Pen was no good. Made a mark with a stone.
Next finder please sign for me.
Off for a beer at the pub on way to Wagga

Found on a short trip to gunning and dalton. Nice day though clouding over in the afternoon. TFTC
Stopped here for the night, great little campsite just across the creek. Log was too wet to be able to sign it, container has no lid.
Container missing lid, log is completely waterlogged. Container no longer camo coloured and very easy to find.....
Found with Jemalong&family and Courty1 However log was soaked as there was no lid and it was too wet to sign regardless TFTC
No log, no lid to the cache and heaps of water in the hidey hole and cache. Found with Sophiescout and Courty1. TFTC
Overgrown, looks like a lot of water has passed through the area with a lot of debris piled up all over the place.
Probably needs a maintenance check

Needs repair.
Area is now over grown.
Log was found on the ground 1m away from cache container which has no lid and is no longer camo.

An easy find. However after some recent rain the container is submerged.
The log is slightly damp but still usable.

Parked nearby and made our way over to GZ where, despite some water around, the container was found nice and dry. TFTC NationalSteel
We decided to have a day out and headed to Gunning to do a spot of geocaching, and hopefully collect all the caches here.
Nice little hide. The location had quite a bit of water but the inside of the cache was dry and so was the log.
Thank you for the cache

No luck today. Got down to 1m and spotted a perfect hiding place. I have a photo for the CO in case it is missing.
Lots of cute swaps in this easy to find cache. Muggles abound so trying to be stealthy is a challenge TFTC
A great cache in a lovely location and a wonderful break from a long drive.
Thanks for the cache.

On the way back to Melbourne after staying in Sydney for the OzGeo Mega - Bunadoorian and I thought we would stop here as we had never been here before. Bunadoorian found this cache before I got there. Cache found in good condition. a wonderful spot to stretch our legs. TFTC NationalSteel
Grub62 and I were on our way home from an event at Cataract dam and stopped nearby. We saw this cache close by and couldn't help ourselves. TFTC.
The journey to the mega resulted in a lot of driving, with a few select cache finds, due to the distance I had to travel. If only there was time to find them all! Once at “The Gong” as there are so many caches, yet again, sadly, only some could be attempted. Deciding this would be the overnight stop, we spent some time caching before dinner, and enjoyed finding a variety of hides, and a good knowledge of the town. Thanks for placing the cache NationalSteel
Found your cache today. Road trip to The Gong Mega weekend stayed there overnight NationalSteel, thank you so much for placing it.
I remember stopping here a few years ago. Found after checking a couple of other places first.
Teamed up with 154Crows and Geodude__ to target caches between Breadalbane, Gunning and Dalton. We had a great day outdoors, enjoying the countryside and different scenery. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their hides (apologies for the generic log)!
A fun day for all out caching the countryside.
OCWF&F. Thanks to all COs for their caches.

Second one in our brief stop in Gunning - quickly spotted once a way into the trees found. Lots in the caravan park across the creek - TFTC
With us lazying around the house for school holidays, Dad dragged us along for a 2-day caching trip through the rural area of Goulburn and Gunning.
We had lots of fun exploring the area, seeing heaps of wildlife and farm animals and finding some caches.

As the kids (mini rats) were on school holidays I decide to take them for a country drive which involved some caching and an overnight bush camp out. We found plenty rural caches, seen heaps of cattle and sheep, the ocassional roadkill and some amazing countryside, oh and heaps of wind-turbines.
Grabbed this one after parking in the nearby street
Thanks to all the CO's for contributing to the fun we had.

This was one of the many stops on the way home from our holiday. A tired driver does not make for a quick trip so we lived by the motto 'stop, revive, cache and survive'
Found this one on our stop and after a little play got moving again

Stopped in Gunning for some lunch on our way home from camping at Wee Jasper. I made this a quick find whilst the kids finished their food. The beware of snakes signs never give me confidence to walk into the scrub if only for 8m's. But I braved it and survived. TFTC!
And I'm guessing it's probably been written in earlier logs but the pool is seasonal - it closes next week and was open today (although noone was there except the life guard!).

Enjoying our mid-week camping trip at the Gunning free camp. Nice, quick find with Oubackay and Montanbanan. TFTC!
A well placed cache, a surviver cache. The water level looks to have risen to cover it but it survived! Left a jewelled earring as a thank you.
07:40 camped on the other side of the creek last night, near what I believe are plums. The hot shower was a glorious unexpected luxury.
Looked in a few stumps, finally finding it in the one with a convenient stick nearby. No pen/cil, but has room for one. Took trackable. Left trackable, wooden butterfly, and a speaker. Thanks for placing this here!

Easy find amongst the trees. Survived a high tide flood recently. SL and left TB
Day 2 of our short break collecting caches for the December souvenir. Glad this cache was out of sight of the muggles chatting in the car park. Our last cache for this trip. TFTC
We are on our way home from our two day break in beautiful Yass. The monthly souvenirs have certainly got us moving and out caching. Many thanks to the COs for their caches.
Annual weekend caching trip to Canberra saw StumbleTrip and I head home on a slightly different road than the Federal Highway.
It was a lovely drive out this way, visiting towns that we wouldn't have otherwise been to if it wasn't for Geocaching.
All caches we attempted were found bar 2 due to muggle activity.
Logs signed in some version of our names or ST/SM
Unless otherwise noted, all caches were in good condition
Thanks Co's!!

This is a beautiful area. We have marked it as a great place to camp on subsequent visits. The cache was a nice quick find. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache.
In the area this week so we decided today to pick a few caches while waiting for a couple of people. This allowed us to visit this lovely town while waiting.
Spoke will a caravanning couple near the river footbridge who were curious with my visit to the stump. Had a chat with them about geocaching and we wish them a safe journey home to Ulladulla. TFTC NationalSteel.

Was looking to get out of the house today and go for a drive to get closer to my next milestone before I hit up a powertrail in a weeks time! Decided to come out and do some country driving with mattyu94 who was keen to join me for the afternoon!
The goal was to drive along the country road through Gundaroo, Bellmount Forest, Gunning and an extra side trip to Dalton!
We ended up with 24 finds and 2 DNF's
Still plenty of caches left out this way too for future adventures!
**End of Cut & Paste**
---
A few people camping out near here, but they didn't seem to pay too much attention to us thankfully. Walked in from the main road rather than the caravan parking, and made a quick find using the hint!
Thanks for the cache NationalSteel! My 11th find from you Always a pleasure

On a long drive from Sydney. This was a great stop to watch the ducks and eat a packed lunch. I was concerned the cache would take me into private property, but I should never have doubted a Geocacher.
Good little lunch stop with the kids.. tucked away nicely but make sure to watch for random twigs to the face. TFTC
We are on our way north for the winter, headed for the Kimberley by a very roundabout route.
Today we left Jugiong bound for Goulburn. Not far, but allows us to access another group of caches that we have seen here before as we have gone past on a mission to be further north.
We’re currently doing a challenge cache requiring us to collect a cache for every 10 k’S from our home. Having a number of gaps in the 400 k range we decided to call in and fill out theses spaces in Gunning. We have driven by heaps of times in the past, and are glad we have had a reason to stop. What a lovely little town.
W walked along the main street checking out the old original buildings before turning after the bridge for this one.
It was then we spotted the free camp and what a beauty it is. We have noted that for future travels.
Found the cache easily tucked away in it hiding place.

Heading home after attending the Mega in Morissett. Stopped nearby for the night, so a great opportunity this morning to grab the caches in the area before leaving. Not having been here before, it was great to exlore and take in the sights. There are lots of free campers staying across in the park. After passing a few friendly people walking their dog, a quick dry find was made. Interesting that in small towns, everyone waves as you drive by.
Thanks NationalSteel for placing the cache for us to find.

I notice this has the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, but recent logs indicate the cache is in good condition. I am in debt to the previous finders who replaced the log. Given it's now all in good order I will post this log to clear the incorrect attribute. Enjoy!
We had to wait till most of the caravanners had left AND for the water truck to fill up. With a scatty GPSr it was just a matter of time and patience to find this concealed cache; SL; TFTC
