I needed 30 cache finds today and tomorrow to hit a certain unofficial Milestone by Friday. For years I have intended to cache my way 'up the Windsor Road'. I decided this afternoon to do as much as I could. All was going well until the rain started, and even though I persevered in it for a while, my innings was called off due to ran. TFTC Morley196
Mr Minion and I wanted to test out our new bikes today, so headed down to do this trail. Sadly, a lot of the caches are in need of some TLC. Thanks for the cache Morley196 tnln replaced as found sl
We are on a short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and accumulate enough cache finds for the current "Wheel of Challenges" (hard) souvenir and the "Celebrating the Solstice" souvenir. Photos will be uploaded to some logs on our return to home base.
Today (day 1) we travelled out to Vineyard, going via Galston Gorge with a stop-off at Fagan Park, then followed Annangrove Road out to Windsor Road and to the accommodation. This was the 6th of 14 finds for the day (day 1), and 6th find of the holiday.
It's been nearly 4 years (July 2019) since we DNFed this one (subsequently confirmed as missing), so well overdue for a revisit, and today we arrived at GZ and made a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The lid is missing off the container, with just a piece of plastic covering the top.
And that's another sad blue face banished from our geomap. TFTC Morley196.

The fifth find on a hike from Rouse ill to Vineyard. The lid was missing and consequently the log was mush. I added a piece of paper and sealed the top with gladwrap but this needs a new container.

Found it! Lots of ants and log book is almost full. Starting to get to hot to be riding around and will have to head home soon. - Mr Moocoo
Wow that had potential to be way harder but we were lucky enough we stopped and started to look at the exact right spot! Happy International Geocaching Day.
Had to do through the grass a lot, Sox’s wasoss leading but found it in the end though. TFTC
The grass was thick and tall, so it was fortunately that the coordinates worked well for me. TftC.
After completing a nearby AL I decided to grab a few of the Windsor Road caches. Thanks for placing these caches and the information in the description of each of these caches Morley 196.
Quite tricky to spot in the long grass. Lid is missing.
Thanks for the excuse to go out exercising along Windsor Road. TFTC

Found today on a bike trip with geofriends. This was 1 of 32 finds. Watch out for the angry alpaca on the cycleway! TFTC
Parked nearby and walked down the road. I soon found the cache

Out for a geocaching trip with the geo-sister (huntale) while down on holidays. Managed half what we wanted to do on the bikes will do the other half on another trip. Tftc
Out with Trodectus to grab some caches for the mystery at the museum challenge. Walked from previous cache. Started searching and like previous cacher were unable to locate cache.
3rd DNF with Coybear2000 while out getting some caches for the afternoon. We managed 16 finds, 3 DNFs and one that we couldn't attempt due to muggles. We parked in a nearby side street and walked along Windsor Rd. There had been workmen about mowing and collecting rubbish. On reading the hint, it made little sense. Seeing the previous log was a DNF we decided to move on.
Today I headed out to Dural for the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at Quarry Road and, after a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, it was time to get caching and collect enough caches to enable us to complete the Mystery at the Museum cache challenge with the collected jewels safely returned to the vault. I had packed the folding bike into the geomobile and planned a "ride & grab" caching raid along the Windsor Road cache trail, and maybe a few extras around the Rouse Hill area, to give us the needed minimum of 23 finds. A total of 27 finds, and 4 DNF's, for the day.
No luck for me at this one, with lots of thick weeds and no obvious "hint" feature to be seen. Searched amongst the weeds for a short while but, with my limited caching time ticking away, had to give it away and move on to better prospects. TFTH anyway Morley196.

Just picking up another few caches along this trail to keep the streak going. The selected ones were not hard to find and the paper left to add to the log was signed before being replaced as found. TFTC.
Thick cover of dead reeds have flattened over GZ, wasn't overly keen to put my hands in amongst the wildlife...
On a really hot 40-degree afternoon I set out from McGraths Hill, and walked the Windsor Road series from that point all the way to Rouse Hill Town Centre, picking up every cache in range that I could get my hands on.
It took four-ish hours, and I consumed about two liters of liquids (a combination of water and electrolytes), then proceeded to sweat it all out.
Thanks heaps for placing the caches along this trail - as sweltering as it was, t’was a nice glimpse into the relatively quiet northwest before it all falls into the inevitable suburban sprawl. The sun was amazing despite being hot and I had some proper Aztec Camera vibes going the distance as the sun made its way to the horizon.
Historical significance notwithstanding the sun seems to have gotten its colours on and the wind in the air seems to have been whistling a pastoral tune momentarily, right before being drowned by vehicle traffic. Maybe it made sense to make this walk at this time of day. Maybe my exhaustion is kicking in.

I found the cache lying on the ground exposed. I semi-hid it to prevent it getting muggled but there weren't too many spots around to hide a cache in. This will likely go missing if there is ever a cleanup. TFTC

The log is very full and the bush referred to in the hint has long since shuffled off the mortal coil. Just took a bit longer than normal to hone in on this one.

A great day for a bike ride in western Sydney with my granddaughter. Thanks to the COs for all the caches... and to those who helped maintain them.
We left early this morning to get as many caches as we could along this trail. Ended up getting just over 80 so it was a very good day. Thanks for all the caches.
Always love caching with this group, a fun day out on this trail chasing planets. Thanks to all COs for the caches.
Out with the gang collecting caches along Windsor and Richmond roads. It was a medium long pedal but a great day. Disappointingly we had to replace a few containers along the way but no biggie either since the effort should breath some life back into the trail. TFTC.
Out on a bicycle caching run with geobuddies along both the Richmond and Windsor Rd trails and also grabbing any other caches in-between.
Overall our day was a whooping 10hrs on the bikes and we all enjoyed every pedel of the way.
We found a total of 87 caches today so I apologise for my repeated logs,
Thanks to all the cache owners for providing us with a great day out.

I’ve been keen to start on this Power trail for some time now.
Today I set off on a two hour public transport journey to reach the southern end of the trail.
I arrived a little later than I’d hoped due to life getting in the way of caching this morning.
Great history along this trail and a nice walk.
Took a bit of rummaging

Needing some exercise I headed out early today and after parking the geomobile headed off to grab these caches along the pathway. Lots of interresting hides and a few DNF's to add to a fun day. After finding each cache and signing the logs all were returned as found.
My apologies for the generic logs.

Out for a bike ride with SeeMyShell this morning.. The track took a while because we got distracted by the two pubs along the way, and probably spent more time in there than riding the bikes ...It is Christmas time after all Most caches were found in good order with 52 finds and 6 DNFs for me today.. Thanks for the caches and adventure!

Out Caching with EatSleepCacheRepeat on bikes all hides were quickly found, with the exception of a couple of DNFs

Been wondering how many a solo cacher could reasonably find in daylight hours. Made an attempt today to celebrate a major life milestone. Started near the South end of the Old Windsor Road 'power trial' and cycle-cached my way North. The initial target was to make 40 but managed to complete that before noon. So continued on to Windsor. 50 finds came up just before Windsor with still a few hours left before needing to get back to the Eastern Suburbs for an engagement. So picked off a few more caches on either side on the ride back to the car. Tally for the day (in 7 hours 45 minutes): 63 finds and 7 DNFs. A big thank you to Morley196 for making this outing possible.

Our first time in this part of the country, and what a great way to see the area and learn about it. Always love a series we can do on our bikes.
At the start of a long downhill run as we head back
We left a few for the homeward run.
Another good quick find.

Today was supposed to be a mash of fitness and caching so I went and picked up one of those O Bikes, threw it in the back of car and headed for Rouse Hill.
TFT All the Caches I found. I only got through 8 before I stood face to face with a red bellied black snake and that was where my day ended.

OCW Coastblue Big day as we tackled the Windsor Power trail. Coastblue had already found a few so I got started early and caught up until she joined me. Overall I found 46 with 7 DNFs and a few we didn't go for as they'd been muggled. Great day out, we managed to avoid the rain and finish before sunset! Cache# 332
Could find this one for the life of me. Almost gave up when flutterbysquishy came up with the goods! Very sneaky hide. TFTC!
Some how I got lucky and found it. I've slightly moved it from where I found it ... in the middle of the Bush to closer to the fence. Tftc
Grass is too matted, tall and dense to find. Walked over it all sinking down into so much grass.

On a walk from Windsor to Rouse Hill today, grabbing caches on the powertrail.
Oops, nearly had to reach for this! After all the walk-and-grab ones, this one required me to stretch my arm a little. Unheard of!
