Catching up on a bunch of caches I 'logged' on my iphone but which have failed to appear online . Had a lovely evening as always, meeting new people and chatting with old friends. I do enjoy these regular get togethers! TFTC!
Another great night of caching fellowship had here tonight
Thanks to Geocaching Brisbane for organising

With the event coinciding with such a special date, we decided we should make the effort and catch up with the City Cachers. It was terrific catching up with a few people we hadn't seen for some time, and also to meet a few new people. Thank you for organising the event Geocaching Brisbane
Twelve Twelve Twelve....what a nice way to spend the last date of this kind I will ever see....unless I live to be about 120-odd!
Fun to catch up, make plans, defend my honour (bad Kitty Kat [>:(]) and take too long to say good-bye...as usual!
Thanks for organising the event Geocaching Brisbane. Cheers, svn07
29/12/12 - relogging as I seem to have not got my souvenir.

Attended. Well I'm here!
**FTF**
Arrived at the sensible partying our of a tad after 4pm, and some muggles were all over "our" spot. Changed shirt and when I got back found Brother Colin and his beer nearby. Haven't seen him in a while. 'Twas a little while before anyone else arrived, and by then the muggles had moved on, so we moved in. And then the hordes arrived. Seemed to be cacher's apparating from thin-air around me. It is so good to catch up with familiar faces when there's no immediate need to rush off for another cache.
As per recent discussions online I made the effort to build and wear a prominent nametag - although who could forget an ugly mug like mine! I think I managed to say G'day and chat to everyone at some stage during the night (social butterfly I am) - apologies if I did miss someone. I tried to ensure new faces were accosted by my charm (I just love conversations that start with "oh, so YOU'RE Pprime!" Normally I'd act innocent, but I seem to not get away with innocence now. Having a cache located inthe CBD meant most people knew of me - I can recommend doing that everyone!!!
I too was impressed by the numbers of virginal-eventers, and the international element too. Welcome especially to you, and we hope to see you at the picnic on Saturday (south) and/or the Summer holiday next month (north)... or around the traps (for example you arrive just after I've found the FTF, or just before I start searching a D5).
Yes I can ramble on. Excellent event team GeoBrissy, as always, and already looking forward to CCC#6.

Very sorry not to be able to join the festivities, but alas a parental commitment to an end of year school dinner has to take priority. Happy 12/12/12 everyone and see you next time!
A great event. It was great to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new ones. Thanks for the event.
Thanks for another fun event and an excuse to cache on 121212 . See you all at the next one!

Thanks for the great event, my first ever Geocaching event.
Left the Panther C TB to continue its journey from cache to cache in its race.

Had a great catch up with a few familiar faces and met some new cachers. Good to put names and smiles together. Thanks for organising this event.
Another night of good company and good food. Great to catch up with people and put some names to faces. Thanks for organising another great night.
Planned on a drop in but ended up staying for longer than we intended. Once again a good turn out and pushed out of my comfort zone and went and introduced myself to some new faces.
Great night. Thanks all.
Great night. Thanks all.
another city cacher catch up and another LTL @8 35pm! A large contingent of north siders raced out the door just before me, knew i shouldn't have had the pork belly!
Was great to catch up with everyone and share a few storeys.

And yet another great night was had at a City Cacher Catchup. Good food, friends, new people to meet, some great laughs, plans made for caching dates, and lots of good conversation Thanks for organising it for us. Always a pleasure to attend.
First event that we have been able to attend. It was great to put some faces to the names of the caches and trackables that we have come across since we started. Enjoyed the night and the company. Thanks Geocaching Brisbane for opportunity to meet the gang.
Attended with stairman1. Once again it was great to catch up with everyone and swap stories. We all survived 12.12.12. See you at the next event. Thanks Geocaching Brisbane.
Like the Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny and Father Christmas, watched from above, enjoyed an imaginary beer or two and earwiged some conversations.
Attended with Goldielover. A great night meeting fellow cachers. Had a ball chatting to new cachers and friends. Thanks Geocaching Brisbane.

Again what a marvelous event this was at Gilhooleys. Plenty of friendly helpful faces, a delicious meal, interesting and stimulating conversation, new faces met, and older acquaintances renewed. Thanks for an enjoyable evening fellow cachers. We listened to the practicing bagpipe band on our way to the car. A great evening all round. Merry Christmas everyone!!
Glad to have made it. It was nice to meet a few more cachers and chat a bit with my caching friends.

Apologies for a non attendance but family duties took priority as I had a commitment to my daughters University graduation night across the river.
I had thought I might get a chance to pop in late but things dragged on much longer than anticipated.

Attended. Enjoyed meeting some new local caches and catching up with some the older ones.
My first event smilie! Also just happened to be number 700!
I knew a few faces from around the trails, but it was great to finally meet a whole lot more. Thanks to all those I met who made me feel welcome.

Another great event. It is always good to catch up with people I don't see that often.
And to catch up with those I do see regularly.
And to catch up with those I do see regularly.
Well, it's fair to say we had a great turn out this time and a stack of new faces which is always excellent to see.
I arrived to find the typical early starters (who would prefer to call them selves punctual) already seated and with drink in hand. P' had placed his recently bound travel plans on the table to catch my eye on the way in, which of course it did... Nice work indeed...
A good feed, a couple of cleansing ales, lots of chat and the night wound down. Thanks to all for your company and a good night. Thanks to GC Bris for organising the event, you're good guys...

Ladies and Gents, just a quick note to bring some "highlights" of this event to everyones attention.
We almost had a record number of "Will Attends' registed for the night, with 44 saying thay will be there. The current max attandance was for the July gathering with 48. A good attendance and we are pleased the events are well received. [^]
Something we were particularly pleased with at the event was that 6 cachers (or teams) attended this as their first ever Event Cache. We hope you had a great night and enjoyed the banter and company. It's not always easy to throw yourself in for the first mass gathering. We're pleased you chose the CCC to meet some of the GC Brisbane mob.
Another PB for the event was the attendance of 3 international visitors to our fair shores. OK, one was a past resident returning after a few years for a visit, but we'll cound that as O/S anyway... Many thanks to Hunsira for dropping by from the USA and to omaster and lenicka.second from Stockholm. Nice to meet you guys and hope we made you feel welcome.
As we look through the attendance log, there are also at least 8 names on the list that we have not seen at any of the previous events. It's always nice to meet new faces and I hope you enjoyed the gathering as mush as we did organising and meeting you all. Although, I don't think we got to everyone...
Keep an eye out for the next gathering in early 2013. Let's start the new year with a bang and break that attendance record...

Wasn't supposed to be at this one, but as the night time component of my course has been changed to Thursday night, decided to sneak in and catch a few by surprise.
Lots of new faces and many of the regulars. Great to catch up with all.

Well I have to say, an alignment of numbers sure brings out the cachers!
Just some stats from the 12.12.12.
1139 Events / 57 Countries / 21500 "will attend".
We must like our numbers in the right order!
Another great turn out, with some new faces, and a couple of overseas visitors to give it a global feel. Good food, good beer, good company and we even had Gunnie selling t-shirts!
I suppose we need to do another one on the new year! Another neat alignment of numbers again perhaps!
Thanks to those mysterious strangers at Geocaching Brisbane for the event![^]

A good night thanks, particularly meeting so many interesting people both familiar and new.
Sorry guys. We have just discovered our failure to book in.
We'll try to ring the pub in the morning.

Just checking through the logs and it would seem I haven't posted my intent to come . So I have rung the pub and added myself to the list. Couldn't miss an event on such a great date
Thanks to a co-worker for telling me about this event, I will be attending. I have been in Australia for almost 3 weeks on business (from the States) & have only had time to find 3 caches in Perth while I was there. Looking forward to meeting some fellow cachers.
Will be able to make it or an hour or so early on in the night. Don't require a table. Looking forward to finally meeting you all.

Great idea though unfortunately not able to make this one with geohusband teaching guitar tuition that evening and me doing a late finish at work. Hope to see some of you at Logan though for the picnic.
I have to work but geowife and I plan on stopping in between 7:30 & 8 for a quick catch up.
Have contacted Gilhoolies and booked for another 5 including team Skibeagle.
Being new to the sport looking forward to catchoing up.

Hope to attend after some medical appointments on the north side. won't require a meal table.
Was hoping to come but I have to work that night. Can not make any plans as I work casual shift work and I dont know from week to week what I work. I will have to earn my sticker by grabbing a few caches during the day.
Cheers have a great time.
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my friends at Geocaching Brisbane and all who attend.
Catch up with you at a cache sometime and maybe at the next event.
Happy Caching to one and all.

Quick change of direction in our travels, took 12 seconds for my 12 multiple personalities to reach a decision. We did have to use a dodecagon dice to get it right, even then the jury was out, as at one point it was six for and six against.
Hope they have half serves of those famous pies that the blackbirds flew out of. It's been a long road, over 60,000 kilometers and one thousand caches over the past two years for us to actually be somewhere for a get together, so we are looking forward to putting some faces on the owners of caches that we have found (and not found) and trackables that have passed trough the ducks beak.
PS Shouldn't the table have been booked for 36? but then on the other hand perhaps you were allowing for 11 Did Not Turn Ups.

The end of the world, I'm sure I heard that was going to happen a few times in the last few years. Just to be on the safe side I better be in a pub with friends then. One x Bulldozer for dinner please.
A table for 35 has been booked for Gilhooleys for the 12th. Any later comers will need to make their own arrangements, but this booking is under the name Troy.
A souvenir is available for the 12.12.12 from groundspeak. To get it you just need to find a cache or attend an event!
Globally there are going to be 1135 geocaching events on the 12th! Wonder why!

Thank you. I would like to attend the Christmas event at Gilhooleys, however I won't be coming for dinner as I won't finish work on time, however I would like to come at about 7.30-8pm.
Thanks.
Thanks.
That is a bloody long way to come for a find...but I need a find on that date.
So, what the hell.
I just be a little late.

Will be attending this event as part of my holiday back in Australia after a long time in Sweden. See ya all there.
Yup, I can be there 7:30'ish or a bit after.
If I still have a new TB with me, I'll drop it off there for its travels.

Eco & Rev would have loved to attend this event but our daughter who is not into geocaching turns 21 on the 12.12.12 so will have to reply in the negative.
Work roster notwithstanding I would like to attend please.
I'm looking forward to meeting some cachers.

hmmmm cold beer, good company, an interesting yarn, and perhaps a hint or two for puzzles that I can't work out - alright, you've twisted my arm!
