Found by Mary and David at 12:55. An interesting and historic site. Loved it. Our thanks to FlyingPigSquadron.
Parking & walking to this cache could be dangerous. Cars speeding over the bridge thats on a curve. Probably not suitable for young children A very interesting and historical location TFTC SL
Natgirl had a two hour dog training lesson to give at Foster so I came along for the ride, it gave me time to grab a handful of caches while she was training dogs. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks FlyingPigSquadron for the cache.
What a great spot. Hidden away, didn't know it was there. log book doesn't have many pages left. Thanks!
Found on a caching run with gwd.aussie as I work towards a couple of challenges.
Thanks FlyingPigSquadron

FlyingPigSquadron has landed! All is fine except for the fact that road barriers have now been set up in front of the historical sign making parking and retrieval of cache a little more difficult. Added to that it would appear no consideration is now being given to keeping the area free of grass and weeds for people to read the history!
Yes parking a little challenging and road not as quite as I thought it would be. Covered by pretending to take photos. Good spot though and love the historical marker Tftc FlyingPigSquadron
Interesting bit of history, thanks! Located the cache in good order, although parking was a little tricky. TFTC
A quick find here. I grew up in Foster and never knew about the stockyards which gave the town it’s original name. TFTC
*Found with The Empire after staying in Foster last night*

After leaving Wilson's Promontory, we decided to check out some of the cool locations along the coastline before heading back to Foster for the night. We had to stop for some cows to pass but weren't in a rush. Thanks for the cache FlyingPigSquadron.

A fine winters weekend away, lots of sunshine, views and caches. History is all around us.
Thanks for making sure we didn't miss this spot FlyingPigSquadron.
Thanks for making sure we didn't miss this spot FlyingPigSquadron.
Once I accepted that it wasn't the stockyards the other side and that I needed to trust my GPS, this was a very easy find, in a pretty spot. I'd never spotted the historical plaque before, so that was interesting.
One less blue frown face on my map. That’s two I’ve found today. Quite satisfied with myself. It was so easy to find today as finding device led me straight to the cache. Pretty well camouflaged for its type of container. I like it when COs spend that little more time setting up their caches. It’s also a very interesting spot of history. I think this one is worthy of a favourite point. TFTC
Staying in Toora for a few days so this morning in the wild and woolly weather the kids and I headed out to explore the area. What a great piece of history - thanks to geocaching heaps more people can now learn. Many thanks for the cache.
Thanks for placing a cache here or people would just not know about this... Tftc FPS
Found on our last day in Fish Creek. After a short drive from the main road, we reached this awesome little sign for a very quick find. Very interesting little place! TFTC FlyingPigSquadron!
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! after returning from China. The cache is still there. It had dropped to the ground though was clearly visible. Returned to hide position.
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! Just returned from China to see this DNF. Cache is very easy and still there but had fallen to the ground - clearly visible. Returned to correct spot
Has this one been found for only 40 times in 3.5 years? Wow... Nice little hide, thanks for hiding!
Had to make a choice...go to the Mega for a second day or keep frmen1 company (was called into work). I chose the latter and decided to fill in some of the day caching. Drove past initially, looking for something bigger/more noticeable. After a few kms, pulled over, reassessed and headed back into town. Pulled over near gz and made a quick grab. So much easier with 2 in the car...1 driving, the other navigating. TFTC
found on the 10/08/2015, cheeky little hide. Well done FPS thanks for the challenge.

Quick find once I got the stock yards just the other side of the water out of my head. La mina spotted the roadside historical marker. Tftc
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Today we moved into the Caravan Park at Foster and did loads and loads of washing then off to the supermarkets, fruit and vege shop, and 2 butchers. Ready to rest we realised we needed to make a find today to continue our geostreak so popped in here. Phew quick find. Interesting piece of history you have shared with us here, thanks.
TFTC and letting us use Geocaching to tour the local area. Looking forward to meeting other geocachers at the next Australian Geocaching Mega event

Found this morning on the way home from the Foster Farmer's Market. A quick stop as I had bought the apple strudel for morning tea. Driven past many times .. remembered to stop this time. TFTC.
After a day out caching with friends Liz & Bruce on Wilson's Prom we are off to dinner at the Foster pub and stopped to find this cache on the way. Thanks to FlyingPigSquadron for hiding this cache.

Found with Thing no2, Hearse068, which way back, Gonefishen07 and Zobo04 on a school holiday caching run. Thanks FlyingPigSquadron for the cache.
Found while out and about with Zobo04, Hearse068, Thing No1, Thing No2 and Which way back. It was good to get the kids out and about. Parking for 3 cars was tricky here so I volunteered to do the job. TFTC
Gonefishen07 and zobo04 made a quick find while Which way back, Thing no1, Thing no2 and myself waited in the cars as it was a little tricky trying to park 3 cars at GZ. TFTC SL
The flying pigs never let us down, another great cache location. Thanks for the history lesson.
Out and about at large with my caching buddy Slink1 on another legendary caching trip. Bikes deployed where needed, Walking when appropriate, drive by where possible. A big day of caching enjoyment was had by both of us, and a vote of thanks to the cache owners for the effort and placement of the
caches. A quick find here TNLN SL TFTC.

A nice drive-by cache with a great piece of local history. We found the cache laying in the long grass, lucky Mr 2max spotted it. We're pretty sure that wasn't where it was supposed to be, so we re-hid it in the most logical spot, hopefully it stays put! Our thanks to the FlyingPigs for showing us this spot. SL TFTC
What a very interesting story and location. It makes me wonder where else that stock route travelled through. TFTC
I love a drive-by, and this was certainly one of them. Nice piece of history I would normally not stop to read. Cheers!
Found 2:39pm , find # 1864
We were camping down at Tidal River this week.
Today I had a caching day and headed north to find some nearby caches.
A very interesting location but it looks like it has changed a lot since those days.
I was eyed suspiciously by a neighbour retrieving his wheelie bin from the road side, but all was well.
Thanks FlyingPigSquadron.

Another bit of history we were unaware of, and would be oblivious to, had it not been for geocaching. A quick find was made and a quick read of the history board. Many Thanks Flying Pigs

After finishing my two jobs, one in Inverloch and the other in Kardella south,I decided try for a ftf on the two cache's just outside of Foster that got published on Melbourne Cup Day. No luck as The FlyingPigSquardron had landed on them already.Love the little bit of history here. Thanks FlyPigSquadron for the cache and showing me the local history.
Nice quick find in old familiar territory. For years I travelled this road on the school bus from Yanakie to Foster. So much development since those days. Thanks for the trip down memory lane FPS.
*FTF* @ 12:33. Got an email from another cacher that was something along the lines of 'three caches up for FTF in Foster'. As we were in the area it was only right that we give it a go. We were on our way to the Prom so this was on the way. Found GZ fairly easy and were very pleased to see a nice empty log book. An interesting it of history here and it was even better to get an invite to meet up the the CO the next day for a coffee in Foster. So good to meet up with some other cachers and have a great catch up. Thanks for the cache and the coffee FlyingPigSquadron. Both myself and the Canadian visitor had a great time.
