Fire danger sign gone and no sign of the cache. time to archive it.

Checked a few likely spots but no cache was sighted.

Great to create a cache to educate on fire danger.

While out enjoying a day of fun we passed through this area and decided to see if we could add some smiles, we live in a bushfire prone area so we are well aware of the warnings and the dangers, TFTC and the fun

Out to find a few caches for my last caching day of the year. I chose this area as I have found a few here previously and had still plenty more to target. I also decided to try and make it to the intervening days event in Melton later in the day. It was a hot day with lots of dust and flies but a satisfying total of 49 caches in all to clock over my 2000th find for the calendar year. Easy spot to pull in and park here and I twigged pretty quickly where it was likely to be which made for a swift find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series 6Hinemoa2.

Caching in the area we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.

We enjoyed this series as some finds took longer than others, it certainly on our toes. An excellent hide, cache and contents were in good condition.

Fortuitously discovered that a cache was nearly hidden here within a few meters of us, as we pulled our car in for a u-turn. Flamingo and Dodo picked this one up nice and quick. TFTC

What a nice series to do; really creative caches, and generally fairly straight forward hides, except a few where time didn't allow a more thorough searching of GZ.

GoodLook came over for the weekend so we went on an adventure together which included: attending an event where I caught up with buds I've not seen for a while; enjoying a day of caching (part of my searching for clues, gems, and other caches to unlock that vault); briefly stopping into a CITO and planting a tree; and then unfortunately I needed to go off to hospital. There was certainly a lot of laughter and silly chatter over the weekend.

A nice series, but wow it was a busy road!

Woz needed some caches to get his souvenirs for the current GC.com promo (Mystery at the Museum), so we thought we would check out this trail and others in this area.

Not sure what happened to us, but we had a fair few DNFs - neither of us really had our caching mojo on, so maybe we will find it easier to find them next time we are in the area.

A few days in Victoria to lift the mood and catch up with special friends....and what a great break it was. Let's just say there was a little bit of beta testing going on (wherigo cartridges), future plans hatched, yummy meals consumed, laughter shared, stories told and some chilled time woven in also. Events, a tree planting CITO, locating a few caches and lots of driving were all part of the fun.

Some free style caching this morning as I was in the city early and had 4 hours to burn so I headed out to a new area for me. The hint helped here. Thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for the placement and fun.

Sean.75, kenare and I started the day with a breakfast event then headed south for some caching. We had a vague hit list that we wanted to find and we found them all plus a few extras. I had a great time finding lots of different sorts of caches. Sorry for generic logs but I'm tired and I'd rather keep up my logs current incase I forget some (which I have done lol). TFTC

We took a detour to the Avalon Airshow to fill in a calendar space and work towards our next milestone. We had some time to kill before the fireworks tonight. It was very hot but we enjoyed the air con as we got in and out of the car. We couldn’t see a sign but found the well hidden cache.

Thanks to the long weekend back home, I was able to pop over the ditch for the mega and a ‘few’ caches along the way! I was really after the numbers on this trip, planning to achieve 50+ each of the three days for a challenge – something that is getting much more difficult back home! The weather was great and I had a ball thanks to all the CO’s placing great caches!
Time to collect a few in town and then head out for some more series. Nice area to explore! TFTC!!

I'm guessing the sign has been removed. My GPS had me looking a little ways away, where there were a few spots similar to GZ. Got there in the end. Have a fave for the series so far.

At this location I heard a few birds including a Whistling Kite not far away, despite being in a forest. There was a good safe parking place very handy to GZ so we pulled up there and jumped out to find the cache. It was very well hidden close to where we parked the car. The cache was soon in my hands and the lid signed.

Last day of the year and a souvenir on offer, so out hunting I go. As a bonus, I only needed to find seven today to round me out to 600 for the year. I had a nice plan to do it all around Eynesbury, which went south when my CX500 went onto reserve on the road in. Not knowing whether there would be fuel in Eynesbury or not, I changed plan and cut back on the number of caches I'd hunt here and find the rest in or around Melton.

Anyway, after surveying the general area and reading the last log, it didn't take too long to find the cache and retrieve it.

The log is looking a bit ragged, but still has plenty of places to sign. The cache is otherwise in good condition.

On the geo itinerary for today the targets were the "Three..." series, the Eynesbury series, the Legends series and whatever randoms which were along the way.

Headed out for a hunt day with crank1 & Everlasting in Bacchus Marsh and Eynesbury area. I was hoping to celebrate my 1000 finds today. The weather has been good but survived with light showers in the morning. Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for bringing us here.

Patience ended up being the needed characteristic for this cache. We read the description carefully, however, there seems to be a critical element missing. On hands and knees, looking high, looking every last place, the elusive little cache was found and signed in the end.

Another great hide in this series of caches, this was the last find of the day , will come back to complete all in the area

I have had this series on the radar for a long time and a day off work today provided the perfect opportunity for a bit of caching.
Another quick find, I was shocked to see not a single car pass whilst I found, logged and replaced this one! TFTC.

Headed back to the Eynesbury area this morning for a few more caches. There were a couple in this series that I missed last time so did a bit of 'mopping up'. Thx.

Wasn't too far away this afternoon with a work appointment so instead of heading home after I thought I would stay in the area a collect a few Local cache. A nice variety of hides, a few drivebys on what I hopped would be quiet roads be geeeeeeeeeee they were busy as. A nice hike out too, and I stuffed up trying to get to the car so I ended up 2km away from where I thought I left the care. Oops not paying attention. While staying in Keilor with a friend for a couple of days we decided to get out of the high traffic areas to go caching. We noticed there was a nice selection of caches out this way and returned here to do more after our time here yesterday. Lots of creative hides and thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

We decided to head to Eynesbury to complete this series for no more reason than it was there, but it turned out to be a fun and interesting outing. We took the geodog who loved the walking part getting to chase a few rabbits and we were able to find all but one of the caches. Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for the series and making us aware of the history here.

We guess the spot where it would be and just had to get the right post.....

The last stretch of the day. I knew i was not going to finish this trail but I was going to give a go.
Made all the finds on the side of the road despite the peak hour traffic.

Looking to move closer to a milestone I'd decided to visit Eynesbury in the hopes of increasing my finds to 999 as I had a particular Melbourne cache in mind for my 1,000.
Although some of the hints were cryptic almost all the caches had spot on co-ords making a find a fairly easy process.
Thanks for creating this interesting and informative series.

This had me going for a while only because the GPS co-ords didn't match the hide location. After I expanded my search area the cache was quickly found. At this point, I pulled up stumps if only because it was a convenient stopping point and that coming back tomorrow would give me a convenient starting point to complete the second, walking half of this series.

Decided to check out Eynesbury. Found the homestead and area amazing, and of course managed to pick up a number of caches along the way. Enjoyed a wide variety of great caches. A nice grab. TFTC

Thanks for the cache. Hopefully we will get to do some more of yours today dependant on the weather! Found by youngest geokid who is very tall for her age but still the shortest of us 5 so she had a slight advantage. Very proud of her finding this while the rest of us were searching elsewhere. Beautiful town we have never been to before!
