This weekend we are participating in 'The Great Victorian Cache Crawl' and as we traveled to the next event we had agreed to stop at easy to do geocachers and this cache fits. It did not take us long to spot the unusual which suggested to us that there may be a cache hiding there and it was. SL TFTC
Something special or unusual goes here:Day Two - Kaniva to Sunbury.Took a little while to find this one but I did after checking the obvious spot. The Generic Bit:The 2024 Geocaching Victoria Event Crawl: Day Two - Kaniva to Sunbury. Two days of traveling over from S.A. and three days of Events, numerous Adventure Labs, lots of fun, mishaps, and even a few caches found as we crawled around in search of smilies. My companions for the Crawl were Muff1. So Good to catch up with lots of caching friends. [:X]***Thanks sorceysal for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
First cache of the day!!! Quick find for us today, but I'm sure we have been here before and it slipped away from us!
Couldn't find it, unfortunately. Judging by the photos, it looks pretty small so maybe that's why we couldn't find it.
12:56, 2 March, 2024. #2381. Ive driven past this cache so often, but didnt have time to stop, but today, on the way to VANS to pick up lunch I had a couple of minutes to spare on the way, so took the opportunity for a very quick park and grab. Thanks to the excellent coords, it turned out to be just that. The cache is in good condition. TNLNSL. TFTC sorceysal.
Not sure what the previous finder found as the cache was not wet and still had a whole page empty. I have put a new log book in whilst I was there. sorceysal
TFTC log paper needs to be replaced as its a little damp and full so we couldnt write on it
Was in the area after visiting my Gran so I thought I'd grab a couple before I headed off
Nice quick easy find will Will log on a blank calendar day. today was the Very well done Someone has now come up with a bright idea to go and do the Ballarat Geo tour see how we go on how many caches on our way there️
I had just landed from Tassie the night before and thought, why not keep caching!
OzHockeyChick kindly offered to drive to the Bacchus Marsh event after I had completed 1400kms in 4 days. It was a nice change!
Time for one or two more on the way home… sure! This was a DNF redemption for OzHockeyChick and a straight find for me!
Thanks sorceysal for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

At this evening's dinner I mentioned a nearby cache I had dnf'd a few years ago. Coincidentally, the CO was sitting across the table. She kindly gave me a hint as to where I might be able to find the elusive cache. So we made it our first port of call after dinner. Well, what do you know. There it is, right there!!
DNF redemption! YAYY!!
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, sorceysal

While staying in Melbourne we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.

A quick find here after reading the fun clue. Nice one.
The Trip
I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.
I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.
Champagne caching!

The recent foot path works had me for a moment think it was gone but this little guy survived. tftc
Found today after attending a nearby Celebration event. Was great to catch up with you too! We really enjoyed reading the history of 3 Stacks supplied on the cache page and knowing there are lots of memories in there for you. TFTC sorceysal.
*Found on the 2 Oct 2022 @ 4:58 pm.*
*Cache find # 13379.*
This was the last for today before heading for home, once I was on the right side at GZ, the cache was then easily spotted.

Out for a days caching with the Geobro and it’s a lovely day. First for the day filled a gap in the D/T matrix .
News break - it wasn’t a find as an extra maze was present but had dropped off so not retrieveable

We are fairly sure that we have been here before but don't know why we don't have a DNF. Maybe we will come across it when we eventually catch up on our logging. This took way tooooooo long to locate. We were fairly determined to make the find on this visit and eventually did so. Thanks for the easy cache that we made so hard.
Finding caches close to home with Bogonghazy.
This was an easy find with great coords. Thanks

*Wes And Sue's Date Day 03*
"Forgive me Father, for I have sinned." It's been 387 days since my last cache find - and only partly due to COVID. However, today was the day to change all that. SueHut and I got out, leaving the geokids behind.
We were going to try the Peppertree Platypus, but our approach was somewhat thwarted by the new estate works in the area. This was a quick grab while we got back on the road to Gisbourne. And well worth the stop!
Thanks heaps, Sorceysal!

Introducing two of my mates to geocaching and this was their first find. Didn’t take too long although we definitely ventured too far into the property which was ultimately unnecessary

Out on my on today on my way to visit my brother in the Ballan Nursing home. Great to be released after isolation. Have not been to this town in years. Love reading all the history here. Thanks for the cache sorceysal.
We set out this morning for a caching run with ilook4geo and tried to cover a variety of cache types, various sizes and caches of particular interest. We found this cache while heading towards Ballarat for a fun day. Thanks go to sorceysal for placing and maintaining this cache.
Out for the day on a cache hunt with goingplaces2. We found a total of 42 for the day and had a lot of fun. This was one of the ones we found and signed. TFTC.
Visited this cache after work, after the kids were in bed. It is quite doable at night, however I think you miss out on the three stacks. There is not that much to see at night, however the cache was good.
Thanks!

After a false start yesterday due to the wind and rain Team Ladava made the most of the better weather for a few finds.
Love a great historical cache with some very informative cache notes.
Some wonderful craftsmanship in constructing the remining chimney. I wonder if more of the artefacts are visible anywhere?
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.
TNLN
Our thanks to sorceysal for the cache and bringing us to this location.

Quick find this morning on the way into town to complete a Wherigo that’s been bothering us for a while!
Found on our long route home after attending the Clearwaters MEGA at Queanbeyan. Good to see one of the original stacks still standing. A quick park and grab. TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and MazzyMay on a caching day to Bacchus Marsh. Spotted this one easily enough but it was quite awkward to access and return. TFTC
Signed log as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and SciFiRulz. We decided to visit Baccus Marsh and experience some of the great caches in the area and we were not disappointed. TFTC
Returned. Logged. Easy find. Shouldn’t have missed this last time. Hard to get back in such a tight place. Tftc
I was here a couple of weeks ago and DNFed it.
I was back up for the dinner event tonight and attacked it from a different angle.
How did I this one miss the last time I was here.
I just got back in the car in time before the heavens opened up.
It didn't last long though.
Thanks sorceysal TFTC.

I did a quick rummage around on the ground to find nothing, before I had another thought. I mentioned it to JSando who went back to where I started a spotted the tricky little sucker straight away. Loved the history. TFTC
Called in here on the way home from a birthday event in Ballan.
Even with the DNF’s I thought I would check it out.
No luck for me today either.
Thanks sorceysal TFTC.

TFTC. Quick find on the way to work. Log was lying on the ground out container and container was just lying on the ground. Seems like people have made a hole in the fence there and messed things up a little. Needs new log.
**Find #1259**
Only one stack. A nice easy find on a quiet day.
Thanks **sorceysal**

Although we could only see one stack (assume the other two have been demolished to make room for the redevelopment), Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks sorceysal for the cache.
TFTC - many years ago I purchased my fire bricks to build my pizza oven from this factory site.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Nice easy find. Only half a stack left now. I actually purchased the firebricks for the pizza oven I built here. Thanks for placing this one here.
Only one stack left according to us.
3/5/17 - A great spot that now has a smiley on the map This is one of many caches we targeted and found today.
Oh my goodness, yet another day out with the hilarious boys - Wozzle68 and Snap Happy, once again the giggles were non-stop. [^] I think we all got an education . We cached in Bacchus Marsh for the day and as I'd not really cached there before the boys were most gracious by allowing me to stop at caches they'd already found (it did help being the driver! haha)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a big, but generally a relaxing couple of weeks away in Victoria.
Ballarat, Border track, Pinnaroo, Bendigo, Wedderburn, Swan Hill, Maryborough, Mt Beckworth and Mt Gambier are just a few of the spots I have visited during my caching trip. There was an emergency room visit, loads of driving, stacks of laughter, amazing food, lots of new learnings (oh my goodness!!), and a wonderful mix of fabulous people.
I am loving this country and getting out and about in it!
Thanks for the cache sorceysal!

A quick and easy find, needed to log one this weekend and this was the chosen target
Aww, such a shame they've knocked two of the stacks down for more housing. A nice easy find though
Interesting art work on the remaining stack
