I had studyied the map and noticed some interesting features. An e-mail "encouragement" from the CO got me to re-examine the map. Then the light bulb came on. Solved it quickly. Very clever puzzle. Today, my son and I went to find the cache and it is exactly where the map says. SL and took one piece of Ferdinand's Gold. There is plenty of Gold left for other cachers. Thx, blygoat for the fun puzzle.
Ha ha! Finally got this one! I looked at and thought about this one for several weeks with no real clue about how to do it. Then my dad came out to visit and we basically brainstormed over it for a few days, piecing together clues we thought were important. Finally, the other night he said "I got it!" Sure enough, he had figured out the secret, and oh how simple it was. I was amazed. What an awesome idea! We went today and made the find easily. I also got a smile from finding the gold inside as well. All around, this is an awesome cache, and someday I think I will try to replicate it elsewhere. My 101st find on Guam! TFTC!
Finally had a chance to get out and snag this one. Just where the map said it would be... And still full of Ferdinand's Gold!

Thanks Blygoat for checking on this. I had another chance to look for it today - and yes, found it with Veganmimi. This is a very good hide. I'll leave it at that. This was really fun. Extra effort is necessary to be muggle-free. TFTC TNLN SL
I thought for sure I had this one figured out. Another really cool adventure... Searched where I was sure the cache was. And then tried a few more places. Will check with CO and see where I stand on this adventure
After the geocaching event today, Blygoat asked me if I discovered the secret of the map to Ferdinands Gold. I had not but was not going to give up. I told hm what I had done so far and it turns out that I was on the right track but still had a ways to go. I mentioned about some of the unique things I noticed on the map and those things turned out to be very important to solving the secret. We then opened up the map on one of the computers in the classroom and I looked at it carefully and as closely as possible. It helps if you Zoom in as much as possible. The secret will be revealed and you just have to know what to do to locate the cache. Very clever my friend.....very clever. I now know the secret to the map and would gladly reveal it in exchange for some GOLD. Hahahaha....
Great cache Blygoat. The master does it again.

FTF again!!! Actually RUaNIDIOT found it, but I was with him so I get honors too great cache, GREAT puzzle and even better location. Thanks Billygoat for showing us new places on Guam!!!
FTF!!!! I have been eyeing this place for some time thinking this place needed a cache. The arrows pointed cripplegoose and I to the geozone and at first I got my hand alittle wet for nothing but it was near by. TFTC great park I'll keep it in mind for nuclear fall out!
Didn't solve the mystery of the map but with the help of some fellow geocachers, I was able to find the cache. Story goes like this: I just finished eating dinner and I get a call from CrippledGoose asking me if I looked at this puzzle. I told him I did and that I just got ink for my printer today and printed it out. He was just as lost as I was trying to figure out this mysterious map. As I was giving him my thoughts about the map, he says they found the cache. Ruanidiot was poking around and lo and behold, found the cache. CrippledGoose then offered me a hint and of course, I took him up on it. Wow, the hint was way to good. I met up with them in the parking lot, walked over to the park and had the cache in my hand in no time. Signed the log and replaced this well hidden cache. I am still working on solving the map and when I do, I'll log it. Another spectacular cache Blygoat...Thanks. JIMP59 (GUAM)
