Powered along Old Windsor Road with Jennyfromthefarm on a nice sunny day. Only one or two people about and lots of cars passing by oblivious to what we were doing. Lots of interesting history to read about along the way. Lots of interesting history to read about along the way.

On this Saturday morning I had time to find a couple of caches from this series.
Number #4 was an easy find but it was hard to get the logbook out of the container.

Today I'm getting some exercise and plowing through this power trail. I found a couple of caches near by for my birthday in Feb of 2020 and have had my eyes on the rest. My plan is to walk one way, find caches when I feel like stopping and on the way back pick up the ones I skipped.
This is #19 out of hopefully 20 cache finds today. Please take care at GZ as there's a very big thistle touching GZ

Replaced the thoroughly damaged container with an ecilpse tin behind the rock. Didn't replace others as it just could be me not finding it.
The only remnants of a container I could see? Needs maintenance ASAP if that is it.

Easy find. Yes, don't over think it people. Today it isn't too hot so a perfect day with the kids as we get more finds on the board. TFTC.
Oh my. Don’t look too hard. We looked at it and both said no Kept looking. But laughed when spotted it
TFTC found with gusph. Out walking, trying to clear the head, so why not geocache as well
TFTC, quick n easy, did my duties and off to the next one on this early morning find and before the summer heat kicks in.
Also thought this was rubbish and overlooked at first Log in good order replaced and added camo to cache TFTC
Out picking up some local caches to keep the streak going. No problem in finding this one. TFTC.
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Vineyard for a short three day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Avina Caravan Park, and planning on exploring the areas around Vineyard, McGraths Hill, Mulgrave, Windsor, Wilberforce, and Ebenezer. And being the final weekend of the Cache Carnival (ends Monday) we will be looking to maximise our score on the Friends Leaderboard.
After dropping the rest of the family back at the caravan park I decided to do a solo mission to grab some more of the caches along the Windsor Road cache trail, parking the geomobile at the start of Bandon Road and then heading off along the bike path on foot. This was our 20th find of the day, and 33rd find of the holiday.
Continuing along the pathway towards Windsor, and another quick find at this one. Signed the log sheet and then replaced as found. TFTC Morley196.

Well that completes this series along Windsor Road bar the two which apparantly are no longer there.
It's taken over 5 years grabbing a couple every time I go out to Windsor. A few have been difficult, well time consuming as I've had to leave the geomobile some distance away for some and walk quite a long way to the caches.
I've really enjoyed the history lesson of this area at each spot!
Some of the views have been good too.
This was my final find today on the way home from Scheyville NP, well not really on the way home, just a 2km detour westward.
Like the 2 this morning this one had not been hidden but was just lying on the ground. At first I discounted it as rubbish as there's quite a lot around here but finding nothing else I checked it more closely and realised it was in fact the cache. SL and rehid with some camo.

The last full day in Sydney before travelling home to Brisbane. Doing a number of different caches, that were decided upon before coming to Sydney and this was one of them. A great day was had finding the cache and signing the log. TFTC
Last day of caching in Sydney and surrounds and the aim today was targeting some special caches and a few challenge caches. Thank you to the COs of all the caches found today - appreciate the time and effort required in placing and maintaining your caches.
On a really hot 40-degree afternoon I set out from McGraths Hill, and walked the Windsor Road series from that point all the way to Rouse Hill Town Centre, picking up every cache in range that I could get my hands on.
It took four-ish hours, and I consumed about two liters of liquids (a combination of water and electrolytes), then proceeded to sweat it all out.
Thanks heaps for placing the caches along this trail - as sweltering as it was, t’was a nice glimpse into the relatively quiet northwest before it all falls into the inevitable suburban sprawl. The sun was amazing despite being hot and I had some proper Aztec Camera vibes going the distance as the sun made its way to the horizon.
I had a minor bout of confusion trying to find this one but after considering all the previous caches this one sorted itself out before too long.

A great day for a bike ride in western Sydney with my granddaughter. Thanks to the COs for all the caches... and to those who helped maintain them.
We left early this morning to get as many caches as we could along this trail. Ended up getting just over 80 so it was a very good day. Thanks for all the caches.
Always love caching with this group, a fun day out on this trail chasing planets. Thanks to all COs for the caches.
Out with the gang collecting caches along Windsor and Richmond roads. It was a medium long pedal but a great day. Disappointingly we had to replace a few containers along the way but no biggie either since the effort should breath some life back into the trail. TFTC.
Out on a bicycle caching run with geobuddies along both the Richmond and Windsor Rd trails and also grabbing any other caches in-between.
Overall our day was a whooping 10hrs on the bikes and we all enjoyed every pedel of the way.
We found a total of 87 caches today so I apologise for my repeated logs,
Thanks to all the cache owners for providing us with a great day out.

I’ve been keen to start on this Power trail for some time now.
Today I set off on a two hour public transport journey to reach the southern end of the trail.
I arrived a little later than I’d hoped due to life getting in the way of caching this morning.
Great history along this trail and a nice walk.

Needing some exercise I headed out early today and after parking the geomobile headed off to grab these caches along the pathway. Lots of interresting hides and a few DNF's to add to a fun day. After finding each cache and signing the logs all were returned as found.
My apologies for the generic logs.

Out for a bike ride with SeeMyShell this morning.. The track took a while because we got distracted by the two pubs along the way, and probably spent more time in there than riding the bikes ...It is Christmas time after all Most caches were found in good order with 52 finds and 6 DNFs for me today.. Thanks for the caches and adventure!

Been wondering how many a solo cacher could reasonably find in daylight hours. Made an attempt today to celebrate a major life milestone. Started near the South end of the Old Windsor Road 'power trial' and cycle-cached my way North. The initial target was to make 40 but managed to complete that before noon. So continued on to Windsor. 50 finds came up just before Windsor with still a few hours left before needing to get back to the Eastern Suburbs for an engagement. So picked off a few more caches on either side on the ride back to the car. Tally for the day (in 7 hours 45 minutes): 63 finds and 7 DNFs. A big thank you to Morley196 for making this outing possible.

I did most of this trail on bike around 18 months ago but at the time this one was missing. On my way to a CITO event at Ebenezer and as I was running a bit early, I made a quick detour to the nearby multi and here. Parked around the corner and took a short stroll for a quick find.

Our first time in this part of the country, and what a great way to see the area and learn about it. Always love a series we can do on our bikes.
Mrs SKI had pulled up and had this one spotted before I arrived. Barely had time to get off!
Log written as she signs and we are back on our way.

OCW Rodney1210. I had previously completed some of this PT so Rodney did the catching up thing this morning and then we carried on together after that. We walked the track and completed most of it today bar a few DNFs and a few we ran out of time for.
My apologies for the same log over and over. I really appreciate the effort you have gone to create and maintain this PT. Given that we were chasing numbers today, these caches made for quick and easy finds. Thankfully the rain held out and we made it back to the car just as it began to fall.
I look forward to avenging the DNFs once they're active again and completing the last few caches and mystery final. TFTPT!

OCW Coastblue Big day as we tackled the Windsor Power trail. Coastblue had already found a few so I got started early and caught up until she joined me. Overall I found 46 with 7 DNFs and a few we didn't go for as they'd been muggled. Great day out, we managed to avoid the rain and finish before sunset! Cache# 353 TFTC
I've been working in North Richmond for quite a few weeks, I've often looked at all of the caches along the Rouse Hill to Windsor power trail. I thought I'd take a few bites out of this trail.
This was a nice easy find. The cache container has been cracked by the camo, consequently the log is wet. Fortunately I was parked right next to GZ so I lifted my bonnet and placed the log on my engine to dry out. Once it was dried out I signed the log and replaced as found.
Find: 406
5th of 12 finds for today
0 DNFs for today
Cache: not in good condition, its cracked and needs replacing.
Log/Logbook: The log is now dry and 50% full.

Today was the day for the Windsor to Rouse Hill trail.
I started off by parking on Court Street in Windsor, unfolding the push-bike and get on the road. In total I found 67 caches, and 5 non founds. At the end of the day, the GPS showed a total track distance of 18.6 km.
Jack Donohue would have been proud as I pulled out another cache. Thanks for the cache!
