Decided to archive this one as the cache has gone missing for the third time. Since placing the cache, the area has been fenced and it seems muggles like to get in there and leave their discarded bottles and rubbish.
Searched and search in the dark under torch light. W found an obvious hidey hole but nothing there. We did find a nice bag right there
On my way up to Newcastle had a little stop in Wyong to catch up with friends. It was 20 minutes before the train was to leave, just enough for a quick find.
Coming from the shop and bus station side of the station it was a bit awkward to have to walk on the road. Lucky it was a quiet morning. Would be better to cross the tracks at the station overpass and use a civilised footpath from there.
An easy find in a predictable spot.
All good here. TFTC, The GeoKrew!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! GPS was a bit jumpy here but nonetheless it was a fairly quick find. I used to live on the coast and had some business here today so thought I'd grab a cache on the way home. TFTC!
#4277 (2 of 23 today)
The Geowife is spending the weekend at a friend's place on the Central Coast, and they'll be doing various crafty things. I gallantly offered to drive her up there early in the morning (her friend will be driving down on Sunday anyway so she can get a lift home).
So, what to do with the rest of my day?
Well, given the fact I've cleared out most of the caches closer to home (ie only the new or can't find / solve are left) any day I can cache well away from my normal haunts means I can go for numbers. Decided to start where I was, work my way to The Entrance and then back down the coast.
Was hoping to make my 4300 milestone but just fell short - two longish DNFs saw to that. But I'll take 23 finds gladly. Even grabbed a puzzle I solved on the fly.
Very enjoyable day - except the first DNF. Must come back up this way again soon.
But so many logs to do...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Came here after a nasty DNF on another of the CO's caches.
This was much better, even though I made it harder than I should.
Went too far in initially and spotted nothing. Finally took turning around to espy something that might be camo. And it was. Nice hide.
Completed signing duties and replaced.

Talk about an easy one jumped out of the car , now I know where race track is hahaha (hint )
Found it 01/07/16, not exactly in the spot my phone gave me but found it easy enough, the activity log has some extra clues
Out and about for another day of caching.
This time I have ventured south.
Another quick find here. [^]
Thanks for the cache

Found it. Yes, pretty easy find but bit stressful thru the week due to railway & roadworks trucks being very intolerant to cars using this "service" road.
Tombi wanted a partner in crime for a big day of caching to help him start clearing caches within his 50km radius. We were also targeting a trackable required to open a cache. After a poor start and spending a lot longer than we anticipated trying to be the first to find on a multi close to home we headed down here. I managed to find 17 with Tombi managing to find a few more as he dropped me home and continued caching.
Ninth for the day. Quick park and grab and we were on our way again. TFTC

Out for a big day caching with Orsome86. We meant to do 50 or so, but wasted two hours failing at a first to find near home. Our other main aim was to retrieve a travel bug and find the related cache. At least we did that.
It was harder making the turn into this street then finding the cache. This type of hint is unnecessary. Looks like they are cleaning up along the fence line, so the cache might need a look in in a while. Got stuck between two horse floats on our way out.

Giving a lift today to my cousin, I dragged her to do some geocaching. This was our 3rd & last for the day. Took us some time, but spotted it very well hidden after awhile.
Thanks Geokrew!

I found this one at last, I had a DNF last time I looked for it but today I turned that DNF in to a smiley TFTC
As I was waiting in traffic I seen this little guy so decided to quickly grab it. Nice quick one
Wet Wet weather day today, rain gone and go out for few caches at Wyong area..
Last one cache, on the way home..
took me 20 mins, finally found PHEW.. Really hard to see hide place...
Very tricky, sign in as no trouble..
Thanks

It was so wet this morning there were no muggles in site.
Spotted the cache quickly but couldn't believe I'd found it so easily so looked around a bit more. Stupid idea really as I got so wet. In the distance I could see that they seemed to be preparing for races on the track.
Went back to the first spot, extracted cache, SL and replaced cache then headed down to Pioneer Dairy for World Threatened Species Day. There were lots of great activities but sadly the weather kept most people away. Try it next year.

TFTC Haven't been at this track for ages. Good to see a major reno taking place.
Found 4:03 pm. I wanted to get out and find a cache for my daily find and maybe follow up with a couple of others including some GA caches. This cache was my first stop and I parked the geovehicle right near GZ. As I was about to get out and then a truck rolled up from the nearby railway/road works going on and promptly broke down right where the cache was, he couldn't get it to go into reverse. I decided I'd go and look for the cache anyway while he was trying to get his truck to work. A quick find, I signed the log and replaced as found. I then headed over to the truck driver to see if there was anything I could do to help. I could tow or move it but he didn't take up the offer hoping to get his boss on the phone. Apparently it was an automatic and was always having problems.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Nice quick find while waiting for trains to come. Few and far between out here. Tftc
Had to take the kids to work so I finally got the chance to pick up this quick one. Only had the trusty iPhone app to get it as well. TFTC
Final weekend of summer and I am heading from canberra to the mid north coast. Quick find before dinner
nice quick find by the geoninja. a nice sideline for the CCARG Wyong Field day. TFTC
Traveled from Sydney to Wyong today for the Central Coast Amateur (HAM) Radio Field Day, being held at the Wyong Racecourse. It had been raining all morning but thankfully the rain had stopped in time for some geocaching on the way back home to Sydney.
Decided to walk down Howarth Street to grab this one before actually departing the Field Day. A nice quick roadside find. 1st find of the day.
But on opening up the log book I found simosm had once again beaten me to the log signing. He must have stealthily slipped out of the Field Day - Doh! TNLNSL. TFTC.

Lots of cars parked around today with lots of aerials - just like porcupines. The previous log explains it all now. Braved the rain to grab this one. TFTC, GeoKrew.
First one today and before moving up here I had came up to near this location for an amateur radio show. I was back today and this one I must say was rather tricky. Im sure I checked where I found the cache when arriving, had to use a paf TFTC
Camping over the weekend at the Casuarina Camping Area in Watagans State Forest, we left our camper trailer at the camp site and headed out for a full day of geocaching. After the 32 degrees on Friday, Saturday's 25 almost felt like a chill. We drove down trough the forest towards Jilliby and then head up north starting to tick off the 'Country' Series.
Left the campsite around 9 am, heading back to Sydney. We searched among the needles, we slide down and crawled up. A green P-plater was driving back and forward - - no cache found this time.

Out and about this morning doing some caching in this part of the world with Mumma-Kel, who dropped me here, in pretty much the right place, to do this one while she went down the road to turn around. The search took a bit longer than it should have ... the cache was completely covered by pine needles and if not for encouragement from the bleachers (well, the car), I probably would have given the search away ... but her perserverence paid off allowing me to put my mark in the logbook and get another smiley. Thanks GeoKrew and thanks Mumma-Kel.
Passing through Wyong today I thought it would be a good time to grab this cache...parking opposite GZ I figured would be fine with not a soul in sight, but just after I ducked into the bush, it was suddenly peak minute on the lonesome road - in quick succession, 4 cars passed by, each slowing down long enough to have a good long look at the geo-vehicle and scratch their heads, but not one looked in my direction! After that it was a pretty quick and easy hide, as it was right there where I had taken cover - cool container GeoKrew, and a fun experience to go along with today's smiley for me
Stayed at All7's place for two nights... She was chauffeur for me... The weather isn't nice but nothing to stop me. Anyway enjoyed wander the country area... signed the log Thanks All7 for hide the cache and hunt.
Cache is in two pieces. The cap has separated and has been leaking as it was wet inside. Log was wet and getting mouldy or is it algae? Log is almost full too, so now would be a good time to change it.
Now that Mrs C has made a rapid recovery with her new hip, it was time to get out and about to grab some smilies around Central Coast.
Don't often come to this neck of the woods as Wyong today isn't really on the way to anywhere, not like in the old days. There was some road work going on here and we managed to arrive while the workers were on their break. An easy find but the cache needs maintenance. Mrs C liked the idea here, she thinks it'll bring us luck. Thanks GeoKrew.

Thanks Colleda for notice about maintenance needed. I attended to it straight away this afternoon and so the cache is good to go again!
I was attending the amateur radio field day being held in the racecourse grounds and went for a wander with the GPSr. A nice easy find after my recent spate of DNFs. TFTC.
Pulled up to this one as it began to pour down, hoping that it was to be a true park and grab so that I wouldn't get drenched. I drove past the GZ and spotted the likely hides that were present. The only problem being was that the road has been recently resurfaced so that it raised by a substantial amount, meaning I could not pull of to the side of the road to park and grab. Instead I had to drive back down the road and park about 25m away, meaning I ended up getting wet!
Ran over to the GZ and quickly made the find. I enjoyed the camo on this one, very well done! Signed the log, having to hide a couple of times behind trees as cars drove past. For the record, I didn't get drenched, but was uncomfortably wet.
TFTC cheers

Found this cache easily very creative can understand why no hint is needed found with jonsey65
I was at Baker Park cricket nets with my 2 grandsons and 2of their friends. Rather than just sitting and watching I looked up the nearest cache which happened to be Shoo-in. I knew I could have a bit of a hunt as I have had some problems locating other caches by the CO. After a short hunt the GPSr showed 0 metres. The name of the cache was some help and there it was. Thanks again for an enjoyable cache. Signed log and replaced as found. Being a Sunday the area was deserted.
Waited for a while for about 20 railcorp utes to leave the area. After a minutes of blundering around, we came up with the goods. Cache needs to be reglued, but a great idea for a container. SL. TFTC.
We were in the area this weekend for a wedding, so after the wedding we thought we would do a bit of caching.
Many thanks for the neat hide in a cool spot.

My brother had a quick trip to Wyong so managed to persuade him to stop by for a cache. Very appropriate camo.
Thanks GeoKrew, this is the 3rd of your caches I've found today, and they've all had that *special* touch. Spot on co-ords, and cache quickly found. Cheers,
Closest cache to the motel so figured we’d grab one more quick drive-by before checking in. Didn’t realise the almost pitch darkness (around 5.30 on a cold winters night) would raise the D/T a few stars. Liked the camo but probably needs some repair work. Currently in two pieces.
Quick find after muggles stopped to check if I was lost. Possibly my last cache before moving interstate! What a sad affair! Tftc
We pulled up next to GZ and made our way up to the cache, Nice quick easy find. It seems someone has broken to cache in half. TFTC
Really cool hiding spot, however was broken when we found it. Log was still intact though.
TFTC. Haydos found this one and commented it was a favourite for him. TFTC The GeoKrew. [:o)]A Scouts Australia Competition
Great Cache. Good hide. GPS took a while to settle down, but ended up getting pretty close. Big effort GeoKrew on the container.
Was at the train station when i noticed this one, soo went to grab it, did not take long, was a lovely hide - even if the person i was picking up did have to wait a minute or two haha

Up in Wyong for the Central Coast Amateur Radio Club Field Day at the Wyong Racecourse, needed a cache for my caching calendar so thought I'd do a couple while in the area.

Pulled up next to GZ, and after a brief search around I soon stumbled upon the cache. A nifty little container...just not sure about the colour A car came by and looked to see why thee was a car parked where it was, but they soon moved on...and I could stop hiding behind the tree.

Well it seemed like everyone was at the 'Australia Day Races' as there were a ton of cars parked along the street. With the strong smell of horse in the air we ducked into the bush and made the find.
